A Wrong Turn

Mugakka Senju has made some poor choices. The first was publicly expressing his view that Konoha was weaking, it's defenses stagnant and any real progress in the village being waylaid by sheer and simple complacency. The world had gotten no less dangerous but no one would listen to him. Frustrated the young Senju had taken to the forest of Fire Country, tending to them intermittently to ease his mind. His loyalty to the land of Konohagakure was not to the village, it was to the places his Ancestors had built and fought over. As far as he was concerned, Konoha's complacency would end with it's defeat.

His bigger mistake had been trying to subtly recruit other Konoha Shinobi to a cause of asking the Kage to step down. Most were too loyal, some too scared; All painted Akka as an usurper or traitor. Instead of waiting around to face some kind of punishment from a Kage he had stopped respecting, Akka left Konoha and fled it's borders towards Wind Country. Thinking that given the diplomatic situation with Sunagakure, they would pursue him no further. However during his flight, a Chuunin teammate of his had caught up with him and they had struggled over him leaving the village. The Chuunin had drawn a kunai in an attempt to overpower him back to Konoha and though Akka hadn't killed the man, he had injured him.

Akka's mind was somewhat disturbed as he fled the grove, using his Senju techniques to clear the distance to the Wind Country faster and setting up blockades for his pursuers. It was nearly a week later when he finally hit the first rock-covered outcropping and collapsed in his first pile of sand, exhausted. When he had come to, he had decided what he was going to do.

He was going to find the Missing-nin he had heard whispers of and join them, then plot his overtaking of Konoha and personally restore it. Sleepless nights spent wandering the desert had made him a bit delirious as well...It took some time, but finally Akka had settled. A small pool of water had been formed and the sheerest of basic shelters of wood had been constructed. But more than that, he had flung everything into traps around the area...Wood pillars dotted the area in and around his landscape, Fuuinjutsu covering them. Ninja wires and explosive tags were strung between them and several places of sand had been cleared away to conceal what looked like wooden trunks lodged in the ground...Akka was taking no chances and the feverish way he had worked, combined with his intolerance to the heat of the desert, had made him quite delirious and unstable. He was curled up in the side of the small wooden hut he'd created, barely enough room in it to stretch out fully, and staring at the doorway. A bottle of water and a kunai rested in his lap with his clothing shredded and his Konohagakure forehead protector tossed away.

He had been approached the first few nights by members of a local village and when they'd seen his Forehead protector, they'd discussed sending a messenger to Sunagakure to offer him sanctuary...It had been regrettable but in his daze and panicked state, he had killed them. Right now he was staring listlessly at the door, watching shadows flit across the ground from clouds that shone outside his window. He was incredibly worn out, but mad energy kept him from sleeping right now.

A note was struck and the twins were on their way. There was an unidentified mark on Dango's radar, one that had been traveling around, apparently lost. There were reports of deaths near the area, making it a crime to not investigate this area as soon as possible. The bannin sent his left and right hand to handle this intrusion. There would be no mercy for someone that harmed any residents of Wind Country.

As the twins got close to the area they were directed to, it appeared like this guy had already set up camp. Keeping view from a dune, hopefully out of sight, they watched for a bit, with Unten taking his rest in Oben's body. By the time they attacked, both twins would be fully vitalized and ready for it. There were pillars spotting the ground, an obvious trap of some sort. Oben wasn't an idiot and it was not normal for giant wooden pillars to be strewn out in the desert like this. They were being used for something, even if the younger twin didn't know what it was, yet.

Bringing out his two lead puppets, Corruption and Envy, he started to prepare the former, having it hatch out, swarming around the base of the puppet. The first few parasites were test subjects, and the puppeteer knew that they would die. Sending them forward, the chakra-based entities crawled towards the opposing ninja's base, checking to see for any traps as they had one target; Akka's flesh.

Plagued By Corruption - Hatching
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
By applying the needed chakra to already created parasite eggs, Corruption is able to cause stored eggs to hatch. The parasites that are created are about two inches long and one inch wide. These are chakra-based entities, and, by themselves, are only able to burrow into different things, ranging from flesh to clothing. They aren't able to travel through anything stronger than that, though. The parasites are much stronger than their egg form, being able to take hits to up to 6 strength hits before disappating or a B ranked jutsu. Unlike other chakra based entities, these parasites are fully corpereal, and are able to be hit by all sorts of attacks.

The first few parasites would find themselves the victim of interesting traps. The basic layout of the encampment was simple. There was a 16 foot diameter circle of half a foot wide wooden discs in the sand, hidden from view. There were roughly one of there for each foot and each one had a Fuuinjutsu stuck on the top. Closer to the pool of water and the house itself was another circle, this one 8 foot diameter and a wooden pole covered in Fuuinjutsu was stuck in the ground. Ninja wire was wrapped between each of these poles and explosive tags could be seen wrapped around it, though some wires led into the ground under each pole.

The house itself was essentially a six foot wide, and 4 foot long building that stood barely head height. No windows and made of solid wood, the only way in the door opening crafted by Akka.

The parasites skittered across the desert sand with ease until they hit the outer ring of wooden discs. The first group of them hit the traps and the reaction was quick. First a spike of wood about as thick as a finger and one foot long shot out of the ground with force, impaling one of the parasites and a moment later, it exploded. A shower of wood splinters engulfed the area, piercing the rest of the parasites in a cloud of splinters.

The explosion set Mugakka off and the man burst up, groaning slightly as he put his hands together. Releasing his seal, he went int a paranoid burst before he could even overview the situation. The Senju clan seals on his back erupted and from it a single gray wooden ball came out, him taking it in hand and setting it on the ground as he began to perform hand seals. His traps would keep them at bay for a few moments longer at least...

Wood Splinter Trap Seal
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
A basic seal used by Mugakka, he must perform several hand seals and then scrawl the kanji for 'Tree' on a small log or other wooden trap he then buries underground. When this seal is disturbed in any way, it releases chakra that causes the wooden block to imitate the 'Skewer Trap' technique. Once this seal is disturbed, it fades away.

D-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Wood Splinter Trap Seal, 5 Control
Used on an existing block of wood, Akka performs several hand seals and causes the wood to erupt with a 1 foot long, 1 inch thick wooden spike that moves at 4 speed and can impale soft targets to a point, though it's likely to break and splinter after piercing more than an inch into flesh. Once it has extended fully, the wood erupts with half the force of an exploding tag and showers a one foot radius around it with thin splinters that are likely to impale targets around it.

*Fuuin Kyouki (Sealed Weapon)
C-Ranked Fuuinjutsu
Fuuin Kyouki is a Fuuinjutsu utilized by Mugakka. By creating the necessary tattoo on his/her body or utilizing a tattoo that is free, Mugakka is able to seal a weapon into the tattoo. In order to call the weapon out, the user must either use Chakra Kai and concentrate on the needed spot, or do a hand seal and apply some of their own blood to the corresponding area.

As expected, this guy was able to protect himself with the pillars that were laid out. They made short work of the parasites, which didn't surprise Oben at all. After all, they were scouts, nothing more. If they had succeeded, then that would have been amazing, but, they didn't, so no harm done.

Though, one thing it did was give away their positions, at least in the form of a general direction. Channeling chakra into Envy, the puppet sank into the ground, sending it towards the man, a good few meters underground. The Dasu would need to get a bit closer, of course, so for now he walked forward, leaving the safety of his hiding spot.

"What is your business with Sunagakure no Sato?"

With that, Corruption pulled out 10 of the senbon on his head, 3 that had tags wrapped around them, 7 that didn't, and threw them at the ninja.

Hostility was going to be today's main emotion.

*[Doton • Puppet Earth Concealment]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Doton
By channeling doton chakra to their puppet, the puppeteer causes the puppet to be absorbed by the ground, as long as it’s on soft ground or sand, rather than rocks, concrete, or anything metal. Once underground, the puppet is able to reappear and surprise opponents. This is a good technique to set up ambushes or protect the puppet from taking damage.

Akka had prepared himself for a recon force more than a Puppeteer, having no experience with Sunagakure's tactics beyond what was basically known. There were puppeteers and they used Puppets. Expecting a Jounin Puppeteer was not something in his focus at the moment. Until now, anyway.

His hands moved through the motions quietly until the voice rang out and Akka swallowed a little, trying to focus on the techniques. His head hurt and he couldn't think straight so he didn't bother to. Instead, he reacted on instinct. Basic training took over now; He was under attack and he needed a viable vantage point to survey his attacker. Hand seals performed, he focused on the general location the voice came from.

"I don't care about Sunagakure..." he called out, taking a calming breath. "I'm not going back until I can stop him. That's all I want!" he finally called, the technique activating as he did.

Outside of the house, the unused posts would begin to leaf and vine suddenly; Branches burst off it and various sprouts of trees began to grow off them, making them look far more alive suddenly. They were obviously going to be the focal point of his defense; or offense, as the case was. The ball of Ironwood laid on the ground for the moment, waiting to be used.

The senbon that shot through the air at the building Akka was in had no trouble bypassing the growing poles and they embedded thickly in the wall of wood. Akka was reacting more than anything else and he shot to the side, the preparation technique over and he snatched up the ball of Ironwood while bursting out of the door and he dove for his posts.

The explosion completely obliterated the structure and sent shrapnel all over the place. But even as he landed, Akka's hands moved into position for a desperately made set of hand seals. Pieces of his hut bounced and flew about and the explosion ripped some of his ninja wire fencing off but thankfully, none of it triggers the tag trap around his shelter. When he finished the seals, the dust had barely stopped flowing and from the three posts nearest Oben, thin pieces of wood shot off and arced out into the desert, searching for him. They were like spikes and while they weren't accurate, they were aiming in his general direction; One hit was likely to breed many more.

Mokuton - Battlement Readiment Technique
C-Rank Ninjutsu
A preparation technique, Mugakka flows chakra into some of his wood creations and makes them sprout with chakra. This temporary boost both makes the wood grow and provides the wood with enhanced chakra, making it easier to manipulate them at high speeds or from longer distances while losing little power.

Focusing Mokuton chakra into a nearby wooden object or themselves, the user causes a thin 'beam' of wood to erupt from it and sharpen as it veers towards a foe. Sharp enough to cause a nice puncture and can leave splinters in the wound. <-x3

This guy didn't apparently care about Suna, even though he had damaged the residents of Wind Country. Treachery like this would not go unpunished. Justice was absolute and blind to the whims of those who crossed its path.

With Envy traveling closer, the sneak attack would end the fight in a very quick and easy motion, giving the opposition very little chance to attempt to flee, which was exactly what Unten and Oben were trained to do.

Turning the water jets on, Corruption's arms twisted, turning them into the fabled water jets, aiming two arms at each of the wooden attacks. The shots would easily be able to cut through the wood, making it a very nice defensive measure in this case. Normally, Oben would rather use these to cut through defenses, but these techniques were a weird fusion of an offense and a defense.

With the jets out of the way, it was time for the counterattack. Envy unleashed one of the its trump card masks behind the chuunin. The puppet wasn't as fast as Corruption, by any means, but it was still fast enough to easily out speed a chuunin. The mask attempted to go over the chuunin's head, quickly placing itself on his face, before he had a chance to react with something deadly, especially with his focus on Unten and Oben, rather than any attack from below.

If the mask connected, the puppet's purpose would shine through, proving why it was part of the fabled Eidolon's arsenal.

Tempted by Envy – Bodily Control
B-Ranked Fuuinjutsu
By painting the fuuin on the mask, Oben imbued the powers of the fuuin on whoever wears the mask. The fuuin takes an entire post to take effect, though, so if the mask is pulled off, nothing will happen. But, if the mask stays on, the person becomes entirely paralyzed, being able to not make any movement besides natural ones, such as breathing and such.

Akka had pushed himself to his feet as the dust cleared and the water jets fired, slicing through the wooden spikes without much delay. But he didn't notice Envy, he had assumed he would have enough time to perform the second starting technique he needed. This was a serious attack and not one he could repel with just his normal techniques.

Visibly sweeping, he caught sight of his Ironwood ball and watched it roll into the small pool of water he'd taken hold near. Taking a breath he put his hands together as he tried his best to stand up with the delirium working over him. Forcing chakra into the ironwood he had barely completed the technique when he felt the paranoid sensation wash over him...

Just as Envy's mask slammed down over Akka's face, the chakra pumped into the Ironwood ball and immediately the wood surged upwards from the ball. Spreading out, leafing, branches flowing out of it as the chakra coursed through it. A mature tree seemed to wind itself out of thin air, except it's coloring was off. The bark was practically dark gray and seemed smoother, thicker than normal wood...Though it didn't matter extraordinarily much. The obviously preparative technique sprouted up just as Envy's mask latched onto his face and his eyes shot open wide as he reached his hands up. Grabbing at the mask and tugging it firmly as he stumbled towards the tree. Fingers latched onto the sharp edges and pulled as much as they could but his ability to fight had been compromised quite a few times over.

Fingers slid under the mask and blood flowed a little as he loosened it a few inches, but the poison was already flowing through him. It didn't take more than a few more heartbeats for him to find himself collapsing against the tree and he did so without fanfare. The chuunin's head rested against the large Ironwood tree he had created and the rest of him slipped down it, knee deep in the puddle of water.

One down, hundreds to go.

Any opposition to Suna would fall, and Akka wasn't anything other than another road bump along their path of Justice.

Running towards the fallen ninja, Unten and Oben separated out, double checking the area for any further traps. Paranoia in missing ninja wasn't uncommon, nor were posthumous tricks. This guy would be no exception.

With no traps located, they hurriedly went into restriction mode, with Oben standing over the paralyzed body of the Senju as Unten started his own task. Starting to fuse with the Konoha ninja's body, he worked his way into the body, melding two into one. He had to go slowly, even with the rush that he knew needed to occur. With the younger twin standing guard and outside of a body, he'd slowly start losing his own nutrients, while the elder would be able to hold on, being supported by Akka.

When the fusion was completed, Unten moved onto his next task. The body needed to be preserved and stopped. Using his iijutsu knowledge, he started to repair the bits and pieces of the body that were damaged from the fights with other ninja and the minor damage that was caused to the him from the twins. It wasn't much, just as they had practiced, but it was enough to require a little healing. Luckily for Akka, this would be the end of his conscious, forevermore. He wouldn't have to see the horrors that would be inflicted onto his body, even if these past few were much more than some could handle. Trapped in your own body, seeing people working on you, feeling them inside you, only for them to fix your body up for preservation.

It wasn't a lovely thought.

The final process done, Unten redrew himself from the body, fusing with his brother. They both had wasted enough nutrients that they were glad that they didn't have to fight anyone again so soon. It always took a toll on their stamina to do these operations, especially on a moment's notice. But, they got a body, and what a body did they get...

"Head, requesting time off to inspect the captured, okay?"

They barely ever asked for time off, mainly for cases such as these. Whenever they did finally ask for any time for themselves, Dango normally knew what it meant; a new puppet was either about to be created, or an existing puppet would become perfect. The Eidolon leader didn't know which it was, but was always enthusiastic to see what new inventions the twins came up with, letting them get away with losing a few hours whenever they asked, being the hardest working of the Eidolons.

"Gotcha, dudes," came the simple and clear voice from their headsets.

Now it was time to complete another abomination in the sands of Wind Country.

~[Molecular Fusion: Willing Host]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: ~[Molecular Fusion: Host]
By breaking down their molecules, the clan member will fuse with a willing host. This process takes a full post to complete and takes a full post to fully separate. This willing host must open their body up to the clan member and none of it can be forced in any way. If the new host rejects it, the fusion won't be able to happen. However, if it becomes a struggle, the A ranked version will have to be used. In order to begin the process, the clan member must be directly grabbing a part of the target's body and then slowly meld into the body.

B-Ranked Iijutsu
Prerequisite: Paradoxical Parasite
Much like the prerequisite jutsu, Konsui starts with the user melding with the target's body, giving it nutrients to heal. During this time, he still loses power and stamina, as if he was outside of the body. It takes away all poisons, giving them to the user. However, the main difference between Shukushi and Konsui, is rather than fully healing the target, the target instead goes into a coma. The coma is very long lasting, and is capable of lasting for years. However, in order to put the target into a coma, they must stay inside the body till it is fully repaired. While doing this, it is basically only usable on those that are about dead, unconscious or something akin to that state.
