Shigekuni would turn his attention to the spirals, moving his electrically charged hand to trace each spiral and see if that did anything. If not, then he'd probably turn his attention to the snakes to keep his partner from being left with the leg work and to get rid of their distraction so they could begin finding a way to solve the puzzle.

Kiyori now had her wish, she had the attention of the snakes now as she kept up her constant movement. The snakes heads seemed to follow her everywhere she moved, it was almost disturbing to see how much attention they were paying to her. It also seemed that her offensive was nothing to the stone serpents, as her kick had landed true, yet no visible damage was done to the snake's skull. Rather then attempt another blow to the hardened stone jaw of her opponents, she kept herself moving with her stance in an attempt to dodge any attacks they might loose. "Better figure something out quick Shigekuni, I don't know if I can take these snakes. Physical blows do nothing.

The snakes would continue to bob and weave, waiting for the two genin to strike them, but if the two genin simply stood and watch them, so would the snake. This puzzle didn't seem too complex, but the snakes there seemed to be either very important, or a total distraction. What did the hint electricity mean? And why was it there? Three spirals...three snakes...and some electricity. What were they missing? Surely it was right in front of them? The snakes were still swaying from side to side, as the one that was kicked back rejoined it brethern, they were lined up side by side, simply following he motion of the two genin, preparing to strike in response, but not to instigate. Perhaps the snakes weren't there to attack, only to defend.

Releasing his Shock Fist technique, Shigekuni began forming hand seal as he turned his attention to the snakes. As he formed his seals, he shouted out to his companion as moved closer to the snakes to ensure they were within range of his technique. Of course he wasn't moving too close, that would be suicidal. "Kiyori! Keep back!"

Finishing his last seal, he sucked in a breath before releasing lightning from his mouth, the tendrils shooting out up to 30 feet out in a cone as they attempted to destroy the stone snakes.

C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After forming the needed hand seals, Shigekuni will gather lightning chakra into his mouth. After gathering the chakra, Shigekuni will release it in a 30 foot cone to assault any incoming enemies with 10 thrashing lightning bolts. These bolts will hit enemies with a strength of 5 and cause localized numbness. Shigekuni can hold this jutsu for 3 posts.

The young Henrin took notice of the absolute lack of aggresion from the stone serpents, realizing that it was almost like they weren't trying to attack at all. Perhaps they were part of the puzzle after all? Before she had a chance to say anything to Shigekuni however, he seemed to be thinking exactly the same thing. With one quick sentence he began breathing lightning towards the snakes, and since she was right behind them that put her in the crossfire. As quickly as she could move she began handspringing backwards, away from the area of Shigekuni's attack, and putting about 20 feet of distance between her and the snakes. From there, she simply watched and awaited the reaction of the snakes.

Shigekuni would release a blast of raiton at the snakes and they'd all collapse on the ground, lifeless. Now the genin would have their chance to act as the snakes would do nothing to their approach.

Shigekuni frowned as he looked back at the door. He'd tried applying lighting, he'd tried tracing the patterns, and now he was gonna try an aggressive approach. "Kiyori, I'm gonna throw a Raiton tech at this thing. Where you're standing is fine so don't worry about backing up." Shigekuni started forming hand seals as she went back from the door a short ways. After the last seal was completed, he raised his hand and gripped at the air as lightning crackled into existence in the form a paling. Throwing it at the wall, he waited to see what effect it would have. "Any ideas if this doesn't work?"

After forming the needed hand seals, Shigekuni will partially close his hand as if gripping something. Lightning chakra will proceed to gather and form a two and a half foot rod like-object that is comprised of bristling energy. When thrown, this paling can detonate on impact with the force of a single explosive tag while traveling up to a max of 16 feet before it will detonate on its own.

Kiyori made her way back towards the door now that the stone serpents were dealt with, though she made sure to give Shigekuni room to work with the door as she had no knowledge of Raiton or anything electrical. "unfortunately no, im as stumped as you. I've never dealt with any sort of puzzle like this, and your the only one that has any form of electrical know-how. Sorry I can't be of more help, but hopefully this will work." It was depressing, but despite her immense smarts for someone her age, she had no idea what could be done about this puzzle.

The jutsu had no effect no effect on the three spirals in the wall.

Meanwhile, the three snakes continued to lay lifelessly on the ground.

[Tsedas]

Shigekuni sighed as he approached the unscathed wall. "Gotta be something with these spirals... But what? I've traced one of them and nothing happened. Do I need to trace all three?" He pondered aloud to his colleague before flooding his hand with Raiton again and tracing all three spirals, hoping something would happen, if not then perhaps the snakes held the key. Sadly, he wasn't sure how he was supposed to proceed. "Kiyori, we need to make a mental note for future generations, leave better clues." Shigekuni joked to try and lighten the situation a little.

Kiyori could do nothing but watch as her partner attempted to trace all of the spirals on the wall with crackling Raiton chakra on his hands. If all of their puzzles would end up like this, she might have to consider trying to learn Raiton techniques herself. Although thinking about shigekuni's joke, she had to agree with her partner. "Yeah, all this cryptic symbolism does nothing but take up time and energy. We've been down here far longer than I had hoped already, and we still have one trial left."

As she said that, as if by some miracle, all of the pieces clicked into place. Kiyori noticed the eyes of the snakes that Shigekuni had defeated were made of crystal, similar to the crystal in the door. "Wait, I think i've got it. We need to put the snakes back in the swirls." As she said that, she bent down to pick up the snakes and one by one put them back in the swirls that they came out of. After doing so, she backed up and awaited any sign of a reaction.

If there had been angels in the hall they would have began to sing as Kiyori put the pieces of the puzzle together, grabbed the snakes, and slid them into their slots on the door. With a slow creak the door split down the middle and swung open. It was a miracle, a miracle indeed. The snakes eyes would glow, and the two shinobi would be met, immediately, with what would be their final test.

Just behind the doors was about 10 feet of walk way, and then the floor gave out into a giant hole of nothing. The darkness seemed far reaching, almost as if it was sucking them in. The hole seemed incredibly deep, endless, and they two shinobi would know what they needed to do.

The hint was fall. It clearly meant for them ot just fall into this hole. With no idea where it would lead, if it every ended, and if they would be able to get out.

Yes, fall.

Scary.

[Tsedas]

"Never would have thought of that." Shigekuni stated plainly as the doors opened to a walkway that led to a pit. Shigekuni approached and peered over as he remembered the last bit was something about falling and wondered if that really was what they were supposed to do. "I can't tell if this is a puzzle or just a straight forward thing at this point. The last clue was completely off and the first one was only a bit tricky. Should we just jump?"

Kiyori followed her partner to the edge of the abyss and looked down the hole to find there was indeed no way of telling what was at the bottom. He was also right in assuming that with every other puzzle being a trick, it was foolish of them to think this last one was any different. And yet, something told her it was...

"one way to find out." and with that kiyori leapt into the chasm, with or without her partner. She was incredibly afraid, the fall could be more than enough to kill her, but nothing showed in her action or expression as the girl hurdled down into whatever landing happened to be at the bottom. Hopefully she would survive...

As Kiyori descended she would find the temperature dropping as she descended and descended, finally light began to fill the area and she found herself suddenly submerged in water with a loud splash. As she would float to the surface she would find that the the pool was about 40 feet in diameter, and would lead to what seemed to be some sort of room. It quickly became evident that all the light (despite being unseen from the top of the hole), was coming from what appeared to be hundreds of candles lit along the walls of the cavern.

At the center of the cavern room was a statue of a dragon, sitting on it's hind legs, its head facing upwards as if it was breathing fire to the sky. In its mouth was a single scroll.

What a peculiar place.

Shigekuni waited for a moment, pondering if his partner had made a wise decision until he heard a splash. Deciding it was safe enough, he dropped down after her. "Look out below!" hollered the male Genin as he descended before he was met with the sensation of water engulfing his body before he swam to the surface. Upon seeing the Dragon Statue, he started to swim, not wanting to waste a single moment as he had hopefully found the prize he sought. One he reached the statue, he intended to climb up it to grab the scroll.

The sight before he was truly spectacular, she had never seen such brilliant artwork before. The dragon in front of her was a beautiful sight, more than worthy of remembering forever with her Doujutsu as she felt the Shutter eye activate. She proceeded to take in the environment in its entirety, slowly scanning over the entire display of the room with her doujutsu.

Shortly after she finished, Shigekuni plopped into the water near where she was, splashing water into her face with his landing before he rose to the surface and began swimming over to the statue. After wiping the water out of her face, she proceeded to do the same, swimming out of the water and watching her partner begin climbing the statue to get the scroll sitting in it's mouth.

D-Ranked Taijutsu
This is the most basic jutsu and a requirement of all clan members and expected of them to learn by the time that they are 4 years old. This allows the clan member, while the Shutter Eye is active, to store data inside of it. This allows them to recall the data at a later date.

There were many more features to the room, the two would notice as they began to take it in. There were cabinets that seemed to be filled with books and scrolls, and a multitude of statues with carvings on them sitting on the different shelves. There even seemed to be some very ancient looking fuuinjutsu etched into the walls. Certainly this was a place of great knowledge.

Shigekuni seemed concerned with only one thing though, and likely something he'd be keeping for himself. A scroll in the dragons mouth, it was easily displaced and fell to his hands. Though heavy, it would reveal its contents with ease, and show to have not only a map inside, but wording etched into its margins, telling a great amount of the legends of something called "Youkai", whatever it was, it called out to Shigekuni.

This was where they needed to be though, and with the information on how to get there (though it was certainly tedious), the pair would be able to give guidance to the scientists to the path.

The concern with getting out would be quelled almost as quickly as it would arrive, for upon inspection they would notice a door, hidden behind the thousands of candels, that would lead to the side of the mountain cliff.

They had succeeded.
