[Lonely] Ryuketsu Buru

Post by BladeOath » Fri Mar 07, 2014 10:36 pm

Every so often a day like today would arise, where the sun would ease off its endless pursuit to roast everything that walked the ever changing sand dunes of the wind country's deserts.
On days like this people could loosen their attire, losing the long sleeves and hoods that protected them from sunstroke and almost more dreaded stinging sunburn.

Buru was no exception to this clothing habit and his vibrant blue hair definitely in stark contrast to the shifting hues of yellow, gold and deep brown that was his surrounding locale, a small outcropping of various sized stones that made up a natural playground for those with some imagination, with its rocks making up shapes ranging from flat circle like shapes through to jagged cliffs that rose up into the sky only to be capped by a steep top, areas like this were as if made to challenge a ninja such as Buru, someone who sought out entertainment at all times.
At the present moment he was considering how best to create a makeshift Tarzan swing, something to take advantage of one of the taller spires in this area, normally one would just use a length of rope that they had brought beforehand........but Buru was not exactly known for his pre-planning skills when it came to recreational activities and thus had neglected to bring this most integral material. Whilst he thought upon his predicament he was picking up loose stones off the ground and flicking them from his fingertips, only for them to reach a point roughly a metre away before they would return to whence they were launched as if they were in fact a yo-yo. Indeed this was one of the many advantages as being a puppeteer such as Buru, there was always something to entertain yourself with.

As he sat there pondering the realization of an idea started to rouse within his mind, perhaps the very method he was using to play with these small stones was in fact also the exact method he needed for his swing, whilst a little eccentric and by the standards of some; a little less than sane, Buru was no fool and was under no illusion that your basic chakra thread would be able to hold a grown man's weight.....but what if combined the threads, twisted them together and formed a......a chakra wire thus mimicking to some extent the very tool he originally needed.....rope. Whilst Buru had heard of the Chakra rope technique he had never bothered to pay much attention to it due to............well due to him being somewhat of a bad student.
The premise was actually quite simple and involved nothing more than focusing slightly more chakra into the used threads and applying a twist to coil the lines, the actual execution of the technique was somewhat more difficult.
Due to the nature of chakra, getting it to a point where it gained enough of physical substance that it could be manipulated was rather difficult and was not until after much trial and error and more than a couple of frustrating bruises upon his tush that Buru started to get the hang of it, the trick was both applying shape manipulation to the threads as they formed as well as only using either the thickened threads (or wires as he had denoted them) or normal threads on each hand, if he tried to use wires on some fingers and threads on the other fingers of the same hand it ended up up too hard to concentrate on the flow and chakra output of both the wires and threads and would lead to them simply breaking.
Whilst he swung around and got accustomed to the feel of the stronger threads Buru began to notice how every so often when he swung to and fro he would feel a slight tug upon the "wires" as if they were catching on something, whilst this would not usually be possible due to the incorporeal nature of chakra, it definitely seemed to be happening.

Pulling himself up and onto the top of the stone he had just been swinging on he looked around for a branch or some other manner of debris he could try his growing theory on. Finding a suitable lump of wood jammed inside of a crevice he then pulled it out partially, so as to leave its base still lodged firmly between the two sides and attached a wire to the base just above where it disappeared down into the crack. Spinning his hand around the outside of the branch he watched on in ecstatic glee as the chakra wire actually wrapped around the branch just as a regular wire would, disengaging the wire from his fingertip it simply dropped to the rocky ground and faded away like a normal chakra thread almost to the young chunin's disappointment, the applications of the technique would multiply tremendously if it could survive without constant connection, though perhaps that was something to investigate another time.
Deciding to try another idea, Buru fished into his right tool belt and pulled out a shuriken, in the process attaching another one of his "wires" to the small piece of metal before throwing it in a right to left throw towards the space of air behind the branch, the shuriken flew past as one would normally expect and seemed like it would continue to do so until the "wire" struck the piece of wood and caused the shuriken to sharply turn inwards back towards the protruding piece of lumber, and much like a bola the shuriken carried its momentum and cause the wire to wrap around the branch tightly and securely.
This Buru thought to himself with the grin of a child pulling wings off a butterfly; would be a very useful technique for future tricks and games!
Chakra WiresShow
[Chakra Wires]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
A Ninjutsu technique that involves Ryuketsu Buru increasing that chakraflow that he applies to his normal chakra threads, combining this with shape manipulation to twist the thicker threads creates a much more durable thread that can be used like a wire to suspend someone/something or to tie someone/something up/together. These wires by their very nature posses a physical form compared to the more standard technique that is taught to regular puppet masters, however it is this very strength that limits the usability as a manipulation tool, as for every wire that is attached to a puppet the controlling shinobi suffers a -1 to their taijutsu stat in regards to controlling the said puppet. Also due to the somewhat more complex nature of the wires compared to normal chakra threads, it has proven impossible to produce both threads and wires from the same hand simultaneously, the stronger chakra flow within this chakra wires also makes them somewhat visible to the naked eye, removing the chakra threads advantage of invisibility to all but dojutsu.

All in all this technique is very similar to the D Ranked Chakra Rope technique albeit an advanced version of it utilizing a Ryuketsu Buru's history in chakra thread manipulation to make it's uses much more diverse, practical and swift..

Due to my lack of experience in the invention of jutsu within this forum, i would be open to a more experienced members advice on the actual stat correlations and resistance checks.
