Thick mist rolled across the sandy shores of Wellridge as the great River of Life spilled southward across the former Holy Land of Forests. A small town had been developed with haste over the last few months in conjunction with both Earth Country officials, Iwagakure shinobi, and representatives of the natives still living in the area after the last Great War had strode through. Canals functioned as roads in the town and it wasn't unusual to see both samurai and shinobi stationed there. Even more so now as Earth Country began to prepare for invasion. Samurai had been amassed and so had shinobi; mechanized units from Spirit's Nest had made the month long journey from there to here as well. It was truly turning into an all hands on deck situation. The commanding officer for the operation would be one of the generals from the Earth Country capital who would command the bulk of forces for the invasion while Akari, Tatsuo, the Tsuchikage, would command a regiment of shinobi to take key infrastructure in the regions.
Troops began to organize into place as the day went on and by midday they had been mobilized towards the newest border of Wind Country. The samurai forces were to occupy the villages and towns while the shinobi would sneak into the political and military centers to capture or assassinate key targets or intelligence. The mechanized units of the Armored Divisions rolled along far behind the shinobi squadrons as siege machines for once they were behind enemy lines. At the vanguard was Tatsuo; Natsumi had summoned Niddhog and the duo had boarded him with haste. The violet haired man stood atop the dragon's head attached with chakra while Natsumi sat back on his shoulders where a saddle had been placed. Flying around the gigantic flying beast like remora to a shark, a swarm of starlings followed along as they made their way to capture their first objective of this war.
