The fortress lay within the wave country, protected by the borders. If any ninja was discovered infiltrating the borders, it would mean war. The group was comprised of missing ninja, each and every one renowned for his or her skill. They had to be stopped before they had a chance to kill thousands as they leveled Konohagakure, or tried. Prevention was the key, but prevention required planning. They needed the map before they went in with a sweeper team.

Getting into the building would prove difficult. It had one door, which was guarded by two men, who were, unfortunately, doing their jobs. There might be a way in on the roof, but this was not guaranteed.
From the front, this was all he could see.

Kaori looked upon the fortress. He stared at it for a good five minutes from his vantage point, a hill a few hundred metres from the fortress. He hated missions like this. Ofcourse the missing ninja would think to build their fortress conveniently on the other side of the border, where he couldn't just waltz in and kill them all. He could see the two on the gates and frowned. Only two guards? These guys weren't very worried about the land of waves shinobi. That was, if they had any. He hadn't seen any patrolling the border yet, but he had only been there for an hour, so they might be just around the corner. He looked at the roof and considered climbing up there to get in. But that was beyond his abilities, there was no visible way to get up. Well, he may aswell check the other sides of the fortress, he had to make a map of it anyway. Kaori put his hands in a ram seal and funneled chakra into his feet. He performed a flicker step to move around the building in a very wide birth so the shinobi wouldn't spot him. Or atleast, he hoped they hadn't spotted him. When he moved around to the other side, he took out his map drawing equipment. If he was going to draw this map properly, he would have to do it from the outside in. He drew up the walls surrounding it, labelling all possible ways in. While he drew, he looked up periodically, both to check for ways in and to see if anyone was looking back at him.

The other sides of the building looked almost exactly the same as the front, except for the obvious lack of a front door. The two sides of the fortress both had several windows very high up. They were all quite small, only a few feet across, and all had steel bars extending the length of them.

On the back side of the building was almost nothing....except for a makeshift moat that went around the whole of the building. It was very wide and dirty. On the back side of the building, the moat went through a gated arc to the inside of the building, ending in a kind of port.

There were also two men guarding the back side of the fortress, but they patrolled the actual port the inside of the building.
