The Day The Devil Met God

They said he could manipulate blood like a weapon. They said his eyes were as red as the blood he fought with. They said he called himself the 'Blood Demon of the Second cardinal", and his ruthlessness was beyond measure. The more rumors he heard about this supposed 'demon', the greater Kenji's curiosity grew, until finally he could bear it no longer. Fact or fiction, Kenji was going to learn the truth to these rumors; was there really some man who actually fit all of these descriptions going around and making a name for himself? And if there was... how could Kenji benefit from him?

He found himself now in the rather large village of Okonawa, in the middle of Gold Country, a trade hub in the small country. From what he had gathered, this man could be found in this village, and given how strong his chakra was it shouldn't be too difficult to pick his signature out of a crowd. As such, Kenji roamed through the small town with his chakra reaching out into the air around him. People around him were, rightfully so, terrified as this man enshrouded by black power roamed through their streets, so naturally hysteria spread pretty quickly as he moved about.

If he had to guess, someone of his nature would see this mass hysteria and probably be just as curious about it as Kenji was about him.

*[Sensory Style • Broad Sense]
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: *[Beyond Senses], Ninjutsu/Control/Instinct stats of 20
This jutsu is an extension of [Beyond Senses]. With this jutsu initiated, a sensor can focus on individual chakra signatures to get a precise idea of where their opponents are at up to 25 yards. A general sense of the direction and number of chakra sources can be determined at about 50 yards. It should be noted that this jutsu requires intense concentration, often making the user shut their eyes so they can focus on the jutsu solely. Even with high levels of Chakra Control and Instinct, this jutsu can be mentally taxing as it requires the user to sort through the individual chakra sources in the sensor’s range.

The Day The Devil Met God

"Pleasure doing business." Hands were shaken between two men, a briefcase was exchanged and the two parties split - going their separate ways. He'd been sent here on official Sensozoku business and collected payment, as had been pre-arranged before his arrival. As the man made his exit, he decided to take the scenic route through the center of town. During the meeting, the man wouldn't shut up about their giant sundial that dated back thousands of years. Takeshi could care less about all that but figured he'd check it out on the off chance it did happen to be cool.

Standing now in the town center, he stood over the "giant" sundial with a look of boredom over his face. Upon further inspection, he looked from the sundial, to the sun, back to the sundial, the sun again, then back at the sundial. The shadows were cast upon various numbers, but.. "..Is, is this thing even right.." Takeshi burst out laughing upon realizing that, no, in fact the sun dial seemed to have been built incorrectly, causing the time shown there to be off. His laughing was cut short when he heard a woman scream, followed by a few people running and even more standing around, wondering what all of the hysteria was about.

"...Ooooh, Takeshi. That MALICE. I can FEEL it. TASTE IT..."

The man strolled through town casually, as if looking for something. He had an aura about him that told Takeshi instantly that this guy was someone of great power - exactly like himself. It was rare to come across another person that gave off that vibe. "...Well well well, this trip just got interesting..." Takeshi, briefcase full of gold bars in hand, walked in such a way that he'd get to the sidewalk to become face to face with the man, which was the only proper way for gentlemen to meet. The citizens were in full panic mode at this point, running past Takeshi on the streets or fleeing into buildings. Pretty soon it was just the two men left standing in the square, facing each other.

"...Ooh, I can't believe it. What should we say, Takeshi? Don't be too hasty, but don't come off rude either. We want hi..." Greed's school-boy crush on this guy gave Takeshi chills. He'd never seen Greed act like this over anyone else. Perhaps he'd made a mistake in confronting him..

His hunch had proven correct; the man did in fact come looking for the source of the hysteria, like a moth to the flame. His appearance matched what had been told to him by his informant too... First Tetsu and now this, if they didn't stop soon he might actually begin to respect his informants. White hair, red eyes, gaunt appearance, strong masculine features... Everything seemed to be in proper order. But even more interesting then all of that was the man's chakra. Crimson red, and it appeared there was more than one signature in the man's body.

A quirked eyebrow, followed by a small amount of maroon chakra manifesting around his body before funneling into his eyes, told him all he needed to know; This man was a jinchuuriki. "Fascinating... And here I thought you were just some shinobi with a unique trait to manipulate blood. Oh this is far more interesting, Jinchuuriki are very rare indeed." He hadn't even bothered to address the man directly yet, it was just verbal musings of what he was learning about this man before him... And he was learning a lot in such a short time, after only a small glance.

He was practically giddy while he mused over what he might learn with some more time. And yet, he still made no move to directly comment on the man himself yet, though he had of course taken notice of him. He was also quick to flood more chakra throughout his senses, taking the time to focus in on the man's signature and get a more accurate read on what exactly he was capable of. Of course, these jutsu would take ample time to prepare, during which time anything could happen... even a bout, if Takeshi was so inclined. But Kenji, he made no move to violence. He had no reason to fight... not yet anyway.
Jutsu UsedShow
*[Sensory Style • Beyond Senses]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: Ninjutsu/Control/Instinct stats of 10
This sensor jutsu is used by shinobi to feel chakra sources within a radius of 25 yards. While this jutsu is fairly helpful in sensing chakra, it is unable to actually pinpoint specific chakras outside of 10 feet. This only gives the Shinobi an idea of how many entities with chakra are present in their general area.

*Shizumeru • [Intention of Spirits]
B-rank Tenkujutsu (Nin)
Pre-Requisite: Sensory Concentration
After performing the needed hand seals, the user focuses chakra to their eyes, causing the Maroon chakra to flare up around their eyes. This works similar to a doujutsu, but with no physical change to the eye itself, allowing the user to see the chakra of spirits and spirit related objects/people as an aura of Maroon. Additionally, they are able to see how the spirit is interacting with their host, be it a jinchuuriki, a joruri, or a person possessed by a spirit. While useful for a quick glance, it can be used up to [Stamina]/5 posts, before needing to be refreshed.

*[Sensory Style • Augmented Evaluation]
A-rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: Augmented Sense, Target Lock
After activating both prerequisite jutsu, the user will do a series of hand seals, having released the hand seal for target lock. Once finishing the jutsu, they’re reform the single seal for target lock. Doing so will give them knowledge of the targets Control, Stamina, Speed, and Strength stats.

[Sensory Style • Apocrypha of Laldagorth]
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 40 Ninjutsu, 50 Control
Kenji first leads off with a sensory technique such as [Beyond Senses] or some variant of that technique that gives him sensory capabilities. Thereafter, he will gather a large amount of chakra within himself before exerting this chakra into the tenketsu of anyone he is capable of sensing at the time. Doing so, Kenji will read their tenketsu for any and every method of chakra molding the target has ever used. This enables him to learn of any chakra based concentrations, or chakra based abilities, the target possesses. This includes things such as genjutsu trigger methods, affinities, Hiden jutsu, Kekkei Genkai, Control based Regeneration, Elemental bodies, and the list goes on. It must be noted however that Kenji is incapable of readily identifying a concentration or ability he has never seen before, but can thereafter identify it should he see the same style in another target.

[Sensory Style • Archive Signature]
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 25 Instinct
Kenji begins by performing a sensory technique such as [Beyond Senses] or some variant that grants him sensory capabilities. Then he will activate this technique with a small flare of chakra, which allows him to archive the signature in his mind. Doing so enables him to pick out the chakra signature amongst a crowd, put a name and face to the signature, and even recall previous sensory information about the subject such as previous evaluations performed on the signature. This archiving lasts indefinitely.

Takeshi felt like a bit of a third wheel, as Greed and the stranger oogled over each other like a grade school crush. Takeshi ignored this for the most part - though he'd be lying if he didn't admit that it strung a little. He kept his eyes focused on the stranger at all times, as guys like this weren't to be left unsupervised. His squeezed and released his hand on the handle of the breifcase as a bit of moisture began to gather between his skin and the plastic handle. He began to ponder several things about this guy - why was someone like him in a shithole like this? Was he here for the money? For Takeshi? Most importantly - how'd he know about Greed? Takeshi had never told a soul about the demon, and only a few of the higher ups in Kiri knew about him. "...There's no way this guy's from the Hidden Mist. He doesn't have the look..." Takeshi was getting himself a bit worked up and into his own head, so he simply stopped thinking and let emotion take over.

"HEY!" The yell could no doubt be heard all throughout the town as echoes rang out and reverberated in the town square where the two powerful figures now stood. He was pointing his finger at the strange man, though that finger was trembling. He was allowing thoughts from the back of his mind to creep in, causing him to waiver in his conviction. "Ya just gonna stand there - or do ya have something to say?!" Takeshi proceeded to double down on his confident talk by placing his free hand in his pockets and looking the man in the eyes, anger resting on his face and oozing from his wrinkles.

He'd wait and see what the stranger was here for before proceeding. That kind of power was at least worth investigating.
