Spirit's Essence A crimson haired man with a set of three scars that ran across his face was seated upon a small rock, his right hand was brought up in front of the chest with the palm facing the sky. It seemed to almost briefly glow now before lightning began to crackle to life around the arm before condensing the palm of the hand now. He had never felt more in tune with the element that he was no after having absorbed the essence of that powerful lightning elemental spirit....

Flash back to a month ago...

Lighting flashed across the sky now illuminating the darkness that came with the thick black storm clouds that were currently rolling across the sky for as far as one could see to the east and west now. Standing atop one of the many mountain tops within the area was a tall man wrapped in a series of dark clothing, the former Hunter-nin no longer wore a mask as his flowing crimson locks and untrimmed rough beard were easy to see. A set of almost golden eyes looked down from this mountain top perch scanning the area for his target. This time he was not in search of another shinobi or some politician or faction leader. No...he was looking for a powerful lightning spirit that was known to roam this area that was near the Lighting country border. He was here to take the core essence of the elemental spirit in order to strength his connection with the element, absorbing it into the special core that lay within his elemental body currently. Nothing would bare his path to reaching the apex in each of his elemental affinities and perhaps after doing so he would be able to return to the village...maybe...
