Enzaragi and Chikara had been walking for quite a while, Enzaragi was still a bit suspicious of his new companion as for all he could know Chikara could lead him right in to a trap, but the chances of that being true is slim, because the mercenary was already walking in that direction and setting up a trap in advance or later would be to difficult to perform. And even then his arm had regenerated from there previous skirmish so it would be easier for him to fight back and escape.
They were inching there way closer to owl country but they were not quite there yet so more walking would have to happen, this would have to be good or this would be a massive waste of his time especially considering the injuries he got. But all he could do is hope. As he walked he looked at his arm it was feeling rather strange like he has a lost sensation to his arm but that will comeback in time just needs a little more time to regenerate.
"So you never really explained why we are going to this temple?" He asked feeling stupid over the fact he didn't ask earlier, He felt like should have asked back when he got his arm cut off but Enzaragi figured the pain and blood-loss made it harder for him to think clearly but even still. Enzaragi then noticed a tavern in the distance seeing a perfect opportunity to ask about the temple and relax a bit."Chikara? You see that tavern I suggest we go in an ask around we could also rest up a bit if you want to" As Enzaragi walked in his first instinct was to check around if there were any guards or dodgy looking people as you can never be too sure, the tavern seemed to be fine except for the one or two shady looking dudes. His second instinct was to talk with the bartender as he nearly constantly meets and overhear peoples conversations, the bartender was an interesting looking fellow, Tall , Muscular except almost exclusivly on his upper body. He was bald and had a large twirly mustache."Hello! How are you doing? I came here to ask if you have overheard or know anything about a temple in owl country. It would great help if you could tell us if not then could you direct us to someone that might know something?"
"I'm feeling quite well, sorry to disappoint but no I don't know anything about this temple you are talking about however there was one chap who passed by who mentioned something about a temple. But he walked out of here about a half hour or so." The bartender had a lighter and jollier voice then Enzaragi expected he then turned to pour some sake in to a drunkards cup sitting towards Enzaragi's left. Taking the payment soon after "Do you know where this man went by any chance?" He then turned towards Enzaragi and smiled again. "No he just left as far as I know sorry about that. Now do you want anything to drink?" He asked with a great big smile on his face but Enzaragi declined as he doesn't drink. Enzaragi then went to find Chikara to tell him the news, "So I asked the bartender if he knew anything and he said there was a guy who left about half an hour ago or so but other then that I got nothing." he shrugged. "So do you want to stay here or should be just move on?"

Chikara couldn't believe that they had been walking for a day, the thought of getting through with the mission had really started to push his limits, especially since he was been bored ever since their little skirmish. Yet he was happy that he managed to score a taijutsu user along the path, his bruises were already starting to heal up, yet without his glasses he couldn't hide it. A dark sensation grew over his head as he continued to walk towards their destination.
"Well, it's easy. I-We get payed to stake out a temple and find what's hidden within and retrieve it for a client." Chikara chuckled and cracked his neck.
He was relieved once he spotted the village appear behind the horizon, a grin grew on his lips as his mind began to wander. It had been a while since he had a last drink, the sweat dripping of his body was a testament to his addiction, yet it walked oddly fine as if it had been programmed to survive until the next bar round. This mercenary life of his was frankly pathetic, though he strives to at least enjoy the ride. He was shocked once Enzaragi took charge, and entered the run down bar. It's exterior was basically falling apart and the interior wasn't in any better shape, Just the place to take some time to rest.
Chikara had already waved at the bartender to hit him with a drink behind Enzaragi, he sat next to the liquor and grabbed his drink before he slammed it and waved him to send him another. His right hand soon found it's home by the bridge of his nose and began to massacre away the pain, he listened to their conversation and began to chuckle once they finished speaking before taking another shot of saké. "Excuse my... partner here, but don't you agree that the hooting owls are keeping people up at night? Chikara chuckled and took another shot.
He eyed the barkeep, his eyes exquisite as ever made sure that he didn't try anything. "They don't disturb us, I'll show you why." The barkeep stared back at Chikara before eyeing Enzaragi, then back to the merc for confirmation. He then chuckled and lead them the way back into the kitchen, inside they would find themselves standing in front of a metal door. "Mr Yazou is a busy man, so try to keep it short." The barkeep nodded before he returned back to work.
Chikara looked back at Enzaragi before he entered. Within he would find an elderly man seated with his back turned against the door, staring into what appeared to be an old drawing of their neighboring country. "Ah, yes, welcome. It's been a while since we had adventurers looking for the lost temple." The old man chuckled, yet he didn't reveal himself.
If the mercenary had to tell the truth; he had spent the last couple of days saying that phrase to different barkeeps in order to find the one that would reveal the path to the sacred temple. "Yes, they say that there is a temple somewhere in Owl Country that holds secrets, and those sec-" He never got to finish his sentence before Mr Yazou interrupted.
"-Oh, there is more to it than that! Legend has it that ancient monks used to rule a large part of the country centuries ago. Yet, through times, they vanished and left none but a handful left. Many people have gone on the hunt for this temple and have raided most of the surrounding ones, yet no one has found the temple of Ayuma! The temple that holds sacred arts and techniques. Oh, you have little idea what this place holds young man." Mr Yazou rocked his chair before he chuckled.
Chikara grinned and scratched the back of his head, to tell the truth he was confused but at the same time intrigued. Honestly he never expected the temple to be this important but if this was the case then he sure had hit jackpot, from the sounds of it he would have enough money-even though he would have to split the price with Enzaragi-to take a long vacation, something he very much needed.

Enzaragi had gotten information he wantednot a lot of it but still something. "Seems simple enough" As they walked in to the bar and looked at Chikara's grin emerge not being all to surprised by his reaction to entering this place, he then looked back at Chikara as he gripped his nose Seems he is still bothered by that Then Chikara confused him with his owl comment before realizing that it was a code phrase as they walked to the back of the kitchen, he felt intrigued as he heard Mr Yazou talk about the legends of the temple of Ayuma. Feeling that it was a lot more with it going on this journey after hearing all the myths and rumors, "By the way you talk of the temple I feel you have been chasing this place for awhile and we have walked all this way to assist you on this search all we need to know what direction we need to go" Enzaragi smiled wanting not only to put on a good face for the boss if he were to turn around but also to prove to Chikara that he could also be a good talker. But truth is he also felt like he was going to ramble about how important this place was, wanting to spare both himself and Chikara from the pain. Or it would backfire and he would just get frustrated and ramble even more, but if it speed up the process then it was fine by Enzaragi.

Mr Yazou wasn't pleased that Enzaragi asked questions, he was used to having a one man conversation with the group leader. Chikara could see it as perfectly as Mr Yazou could reflect himself in his magenta eyes. "We don't operate with a leader." Chikara chuckled and scratched the back of his head. He knew that the conversation had turned awkward and lengthened thanks to Enzaragi's curiousity, or bravado? He didn't know what to label it that he was sure of.
"Isn't the journey the main attraction of an adventure? Or is it only the price that matters to you?" Mr Yazou separated his hands and rose off his chair, he walked up to the map and ripped it off the wall. "This is the last version of the map, without this, there's no possible way of finding this temple." Mr Yazou sighed in grief, almost as if it was a tough burden to bare, mixed with a hint of sorrow. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, which made Chikara all the more uncomfortable.
"Look, we'll return the map to you if it means that much to you?" Chikara forced out a chuckle and a shrug. He watched the elder man walk over and pass Enzaragi his hand to shake before he would clear his throat. Chikara knew that something going down, the look on Mr Yazou's eyes indicated that he had a trick up his sleeves. What could it be? Chikara wondered, could it be a knife? Was this a trap? Is he working for someone out for Ninjas? Chikara frowned and prepared to attack Mr Yazou if needed, yet his exterior appeared rather calm, though somewhat stiff.
"I'm not going to give you the map, because I don't trust anyone of you to be honorable enough to return here once you find the temple. So... I hired a helping hand to make sure that you two behave." Mr Yazou looked at both of the mercenaries before he looked up at the barkeep and nodded. He raised the rolled up map and chuckled as his eyes went from his feet to meet Chikaras.
There was no sign of wind, he couldn't feel where his skin began and the air ended. His breath had slowed down to beat to the hymn of the silent dancers, who hid their talents from those who would never understand their true side. Life seemed to flash before him as warm glows flocked the center of his chest, soothing and tranquil like a set of butterflies fading in the wind. The first thing he managed to catch a glimpse of was her sprawling white pinkish hair, that waved after her slim and well toned figure, the second was her stark blue eyes, the brief second they shared looked down each others eyes felt like lifetimes, yet real life revealed another image.
"Hello there! I'm Chie and I am here to be your lovely guide, I'll try to keep us on the move and away from danger." Chie smiled and nodded at the mercenaries, Mr Yazou nodded with approval before Chie tucked the scroll in her reach pouch then swiftly moved to stand next to Chikara, who was still in awe. Something told him that he recognized the pink haired beauty, her golden rings weren't missed, matching her red and dark blue outfit. Her large necklace would neglect stealth but he figured that she didn't use stealth with that disguise.
"Is there anything else I need to explain or do you guys feel ready enough to escort miss Chie to the temple?" Chikara grit his teeth, he hated escort missions and this one seemed to be a drag. He knew that if he managed to score something to drink along the way then he would try to talk to Chie, which could sabotage the entire mission, especially since he should focus on recruiting Enzaragi.

His question backfired when he started talking to Mr Yazou wasn't pleased with his questions and it turned awkward, then Chikara sort of saved him on that saying they didn't do leaders apparently, even though Enzaragi has view Chikara as the leader on the journey. Guess he could stop thinking that. As Mr Yazou rose to get the map he almost stopped while pondering over the map, it really looked like Yazou poured his life and soul in too this thing. So he sort of felt bad for him but not enough to care, he then walked up to Enzaragi to pass him a handshake while looking somewhat suspicious Enzaragi remained calm knowing how quick he was on the draw in case he tried anything. The pain of his right arm was gone so he had not problem shaking his hand. Then Mr Yazou commented on their honor, While he didn't know about Chikara but Enzaragi still had a lot of his honor from his samurai days. Considering how others who turned Ronin or Missing nin turned out. Or at least he would regain some of his honor that he had lost in the past.
Then a very beautiful fashionable and fit girl walked in the room with big pink hair. She seemed really friendly and sweet which was always a plus. Enzaragi tried his best to remain himself and focused on the mission. He then looked over to Chikara and noticed how he was just awestruck face which made him want to burst out in laughter but he contained himself only letting a soft giggle escape. Chikara was still stuck in a daze, his mind was preoccupied by the thought of him knowing her. The slender skater always seemed to keep a smile on her face, while the grim faced mercenary was the opposite. He snapped back once Enzaragi spoke and chuckled, his shoulders yanked lightly as he followed his partner in crime. It wouldn't take long before they found themselves out on the streets, out the village and soon on their path towards the "special" temple.
Chikara sighed, the heat sun was bugging him and Chie's gentle whistling had turned from sweat and innocent to annoying rather quick; he blamed it on his hangover. "So, tell me about yourself... Chie?" Chikara rubbed his chin before his fingers locked behind his head. He had an odd feeling that he had seen her before but he couldn't get a grip on her. I might be drinking too much... Shit. He chuckled for himself before he looked over at Chie, who was still grinning wide as ever.
"Are you seriously going to tell me that youuu~" Chie pointed her slender finger at Chikara and dotted him on his forehead. "Nara, Kara, Chikara, don't recognize you recognize me? Yamanaka, Chie? Pfft wow!" Chie skated backwards and away from Chikara and Enzaragi. The mercenary was stunned by both the grace of her movement--her hair danced around and created what appeared like a pink cape--and the fact that he was put on the spot.
"Eeeauughh... *Finger snap* Yes! Of course I do! I was just checking how long it would take for you to realize who I was." Chikara chuckled and bumped Enzaragi, acting like he got away with it. "That right there is Yamanaka, Chie. She can control your mind if you aren't too careful around her, just FIY. " Chikara chuckled as he passed Enzaragi and tried to catch up to Chie.
"That goes for you too. *Chuckle* Nobody can not recognize you with your weird eyes Chikara, you stick out like a sore thumb, am I right or am I right?" Chie looked over at his comrade and nodded. At least they were all hopefully getting along.

As Chikara snapped backed to reality they walked out with their new travel companion, who turned out to be an old friend of Chikara much to his surprise. While Enzaragi wouldn't lie since it was not nice in the eyes of Jashin and himslef but he needed to get on his good side and he thought it would be funny. He then mentioned that she was a Yamanaka which Enzaragi had no idea what that was, getting both scared and curious about her so called 'mind control'
The beautiful Yamanaka seemed fun, she was full of energy and was sure to be a great travel companion brightening up the road ahead while giving guidance. Not only that but he had a feeling that she would bring conversation.
"What? She can control my mind? How?" She then looked at Enzaragi with a nod for a confirmation and he couldn't agree more he did stick out so he nodded back with a quick reply. "You are right!" He then asked Chie how far away the temple was so that they had a rough estimate in time.

The pink haired guide dashed above the dirt road and continued deep into the woods, she loved to feel the wind dance in her hair, the fantastic sensation of freedom one could exhibit. The careless guide would stay ahead and make sure that the road would lead them to the right path.

Enzaragi's question never got his question answered and he was left with an confused expression that grew even more confused as Chie disappeared into the distance randomly. "Hey! Ehhh...." Enzaragi's shouting didn't stop the fabulous lady, she simply drifted off into the horizon. Enzaragi looked at Chikara an nodded in agreement to catch up to Chie. Following the path to her latest location they would soon run into a town. Seeing as she would likely not be that far away, even if she picked up the pace. Enzaragi began searching for the blond haired beauty. However upon searching he noticed a group of thugs was looking at him. Likely looking for trouble or a victim to harass. He didn't let that distract him and instead focused on looking for the flamboyant lady known as Chie.

Chikara followed Enzaragi who was naturally faster than he was, his head wasn't pounding anymore so the jog they were on wouldn't be too troublesome. It wouldn't take long for the duo to reach the outskirts of a shanty village, though from the looks of it, the village had recently been restored, which bode well with the mercenary. He looked around the estranged village and felt the unnecessary eyes peering at them, at first he wondered if it had something to do with his strange doujutsu but eventually noticed that they seemed more preoccupied at looking at his new partner in crime.

As Enzaragi searched around he turned around noticing that Chikara found the tracks of Chie. He then mentioned the thugs looking at Enzaragi, the thugs seemed to be unfamiliar so he simply carried on following the tracks. "Eh it's nothing to worry about. Besides we got each other right? We can take these guys out easy!" as Enzaragi kept following the tracks with Chikara the thugs started walking at a brisk pace towards them qutting them off. "Oy! Eraiasu good to have you back! We missed youuuuu!" a tall slender pale man with black hair said with a smile. The slender man had quite a grungy voice and spoke with an air of cockiness, Followed by a shorter and buffer brown man with a slash on the side of his face. "Yeah man! Where have you been?" There was another two who was with the group both fairly average people except that one had brown hair and blue eyes and one had blond hair and brown eyes. Enzaragi face grew annoyed as he looked at the group with a stare of seriousness. "First of all that's not my name and second of all that's none of your business!" Enzaragi pushed them out of the way and continued on.

Chikara shook his head as he listened to the thugs speak to "Eriasu" apparently... Which baffled Chikara at first but then chuckled as he continued to trek on ahead, he knew that if a fight would break out over something like this then he wouldn't get involved. This had nothing to do with the mission and he wasn't informed about it, meaning that it was just something occurring in his peripheral vision. Chikara shook his head once again and returned his to the tracks.
Stopped to allow the other to catch up, he looked off into the distance and waited for "Eriasu" to show up, though he would make sure not to mention it now, as it would only distract them from the task at hand. "The tracks end here, but... There's other tracks leading into that scary looking forest, or we could go over to the next town, that should be nice and dandy and see what we can find out." Chikara couldn't believe his mouth, it was as if this was out of some fantasy drawing he had seen. A chuckle escaped his breath as he turned around to look Enzaragi in his eyes.
He didn't know what to make of him, but for now he seemed to be on board, though the question was where would they find Chie. Scout ahead... Pfft... Chikara shook his head and kicked up some dust. He would suggest that they enter the scary forest, but at the same time they could find out what was within the forest from the nearest town and stock up on supplies.

Enzaragi pushed passed the thugs and went to catch up to Chikara who had gone ahead, "That was weird." Enzaragi wasn't a fan of lying but it was better than saying that he ran with a madwoman and her gang of fanatics. "I think we should go to the next town since these random tracks could be anything. And a town seems more like a safe bet." With that, Enzaragi and Chikara moved on their way, after a short while of walking the two would arrive in a bigger town that had a market going on at the moment. "So Chikara should we stock up or ask questions it's up to you? " Enzaragi looked behind him to see if they were followed, slightly paranoid over the last encounter with the goons, didn't they had an ominous tone when Enzaragi was on his way.
Enzaragi wondered how the hell the pink haired lass disappeared so quickly. She started dashing ahead and then poof gone. Did she run full sprint ahead? Why the hell would she do that? Enzaragi's mind raced as he was getting more annoyed that the girl disappeared. But alas, all they could do was find her and make sure she doesn't die or disappear. That would certainly complicate matters in their little journey.
