Turmoil in the Land of Rivers and Streams

Post by Kaito-san » Sat Jun 16, 2018 12:39 am

Vixen wasn’t the hardest shinobi to track. Outside of the hidden mist village she might as well have been covered in pink polka dots. Her vulpine features and genetics were as clear as day, her three tailed appearance making her a walking curiosity. She could have hidden her nature, but that wasn’t her way. She liked the attention. It ensured that she was easy to track and that meant that the lapdogs of the mist would have no trouble seeking her out. She wanted them to find her far away from their home ground. Here she could teach them how little their attachments meant or kill them trying.

Plus, the country of streams and rivers was delightful with all its lost temples and oppressed people. It bred malcontent just like it bred disease. The humid heat of summer was the icing on the cake. This was a land of oppressed people who toiled in fields and on boats so that others could take their hard labor from them. Samurai from neighboring countries who plundered their lands in the names of the so called, “Lords.” It was a land of people who needed the lessons of Jashin. Once they set aside their attachments, they could be free of the rule of the lords and the pain from the loss of their children to the ravages of disease. All they had to do was embrace the world as it really existed, in a state of chaos.

Vixen was beyond excited. It was her time to be the teacher and the people of this land her pupils. Perhaps she would even convince her pursuers. They thought they were so clever. Though they tried to hide, their movements were plain as day to her. They would not be out foxing the fox. She just needed to draw them in, and for that she needed a trap. But what to use for bait? She smirked, fangs resting atop her lower lip as the corners of her mouth pulled upward. Of course, they wanted to kill her. They’d want to do it someplace out of sight. They’d want to keep this all quiet, since they were operating near the border of several major nations, none of which were the water country.

Knowing when the hunters picked up her tracks, she knew the exact place she would use. It was an overgrown temple that had been swallowed by the forest. It was partially collapsed, but perfect for her plan. Best of all, it was a place she had been to that they hadn’t. Her ears had already mapped out each nook and cranny of the inside and outside, while they would be forced to operate blind. Under the thick canopy of the forest it would be neigh pitch black tonight, perfect for her, lethal for her pursuers.

Her trek through the forest was brisk and intent. It was clear she had a destination, which meant that her pursuers would likely want to wait to strike. After all, they wanted to find out if she was working with anyone else, right? If they followed they might find a base of operations or simply strike while she was unawares in the night. It was those hopes that kept them on the line, allowing themselves to be reeled into the trap that Vixen was planning.

The reached the temple just before dusk, the crumbling walls covered in creeping vines, roots bursting up through what was once a stone courtyard. Vixen slunk inside like a fox into a henhouse, her tails whipping around the corner after her. Both sides waited for darkness to fall with the hopes of ambushing the other, but unknowns to the hunters, the prey was wise to their game. She hadn’t run so much as pulled them in. Thus, this wasn’t a hunt between hunter and prey, but a drawing in of game by an angler. After all, the Tsukino weren’t just kitsune people, they were kitsune people who merged with water spirits. Fishing was their game.

Darkness fell, and with it came the coolness of night. The humidity that hung in the air making everything sticky began to condense as the temperature dropped. The mist shinobi should have known better than to believe it was happening naturally though. This wasn’t the water country with it’s dreary weather. Mist shouldn’t have formed this thick until morning. By the time they were getting suspicious about the thickness of the mist, it was far too late. The fox had long ago fled her henhouse under the cover of the mist.

Vixen walked under the boughs of the trees in silence, her sandals not disturbing a single leaf as she moved. She picked out her angles with care, predicting the movement of her quarry like game on game trails. There were certain places they would move through with near certainty, the terrain and their training dictating the positions they would assume. She performed her hand seals, the skin of her palm splitting open, blood being siphoned out into the shape of a kunai. She deposited them with care, the dark red ninja tools dripping down into small pools of blood on the forest floor. She affixed her mist in place, stilling the air with another jutsu before turning and jogging away with purposefully heavy steps.

The response was swift as expected, Vixen coming to stop a few yards away. She formed her hand seals, blood dripping down her dark forearms while she waited to hear them take their places. Their time at the academy made them all so predictable. Vixen grinned as the first arrived. He was close, but not close enough to see her when she fired off her first attack in response to hearing a foot splash in a puddle. It wasn’t water though, it was her blood.

Five senbon formed under his foot, stabbing up through it as if his sandal and foot were a tenderized piece of beef. But that wasn’t enough to stop them. Though the projectiles were slow, they were persistent, boring upward unfazed by the soft tissues they met. The worst ones weren’t the ones that continued up through the soft parts of the foot though, no. The worst ones were the bloody needles that bored through the bone.

A scream rent the air as the shinobi crashed to the ground, laid low by an attack he had never seen coming. But he wasn’t the only one after her. There was one more, and he was closing fast. No matter. She would take care of them both before they could get their wits about them. The screaming of his partner would be enough of a distraction, he would come to his partners side, or near enough. He’d probably only get close enough to see what had happened, but by then he would be far too close to escape the jutsu she was preparing just meters away.

Vixen’s hands grew ever more gruesome and blood slicked as she formed the seals for her next jutsu, spinning around to face the downed ninja and his partner. Water Style: Crashing wave. At the end of the string of seals, she spat forth a torrential stream of water which cracked against the trees; trunks, branches, leaves, and roots. The water surged forth, taller than two men standing atop each other, as wide as five laying down. Neither stood a chance of escape, the fog blinding them to the size of the danger until it was already crashing down upon them.

The water dashed the pair of ninja against the forest floor, scraping them over rock and root alike as it pushed them out into a nearby stream. Battered, bruised, and bleeding they struggled onto the surface of the water, finally free of the mist.

“Suiton: Pacifistic Domination.”, came the echo of a feminine voice from within the fog. The silhouette of Vixen with her three tails swishing visible from the water as it began to spin under the hunters.

“Wait-!”, one cried, just before being sucked under the surface in a wickedly strong whirlpool of sucking water. Whatever gurgles they were making were like nothing compared to the rushing sound of the water as it swirled and swirled. The forest was alive with animals making alarm calls, the night profoundly disturbed by the short burst of violence. As she held her final hand seal, Vixen hummed to herself as she drowned the two hunters who had come after her.

Clearly, the mist village had no measure of her true power if this is who they thought would be up to the task.

Turmoil in the Land of Rivers and Streams

The pair trudged through the countryside of the land of rivers and streams, Sji not his usual chipper self not only had the capital of this country Shimekiri turned out to be on hell of a dump in comparison to many other places they had visited the festival Sji had heard about hadn't been held for decades. He was keeping pace with Yato but his disappointment could be seen all over his face as he sulked, he didn't expect Yato to care they were on their way to claim on another contract Sji had been made to sit out for this one not out of any concern for his well being Yato just didn't want him getting in the way. Sji was content to watch Yato work in any case it was always fun to watch his art form, there were very few who murdered as creatively as Yato did.

Trailing back through this country had been more fun than the visit to the capital in any case, out here roaming Samurai killed and pillaged as if it was going out of fashion Sji didn't quite care much for the politics of it all but he didn't mind so much when one of these Samurai looked to accost two travellers they knew nothing about it broke the day up a bit and made things a bit more varied.

Fortunately the land itself was pleasant enough to the eye, the gentle streams providing a nice ambience to the journey they made. The heat was back however, Sji was sick of the summer especially here where the air was humid it made the heat unpleasent, it made the clothes you wore stick to your back and feel generally unpleasant. Compared to the capital however the country folk were far more welcoming of strangers especially the further north you went, you would find untouched pockets of civilization small fishing villages and farming communities. These small pockets allowed them to rest without too many questions being asked, if for a moment it was suspected that this would lead to being tracked they would clear all evidence and move on quickly finding somewhere else to hunker for the night.

Sji realised they were close to his place of birth, this country was nestled neatly between Earth, Fire and Lightning Country. It had been a long time since he had been in the Land of Lightning, Sji only held bitterness for that country now it had taken anything of worth from him, it had taught him the valuable lesson about the villages it was where the first spark of hatred for them had been nurtured.

The thought of the land of Fire reminded Sji to ask Yato something he had been meaning to earlier. "Yatty, how did you leave Konohagakure? I thought they took pride in knowing all their shinobi, nurturing them and all that garbage." Sji continued walking as he waited for Yato to answer, they walked along a dirt road by a riverside which should come as no surprise this place was full of them after all. Up ahead a forest loomed over them, the half peak of a dilapidated temple peered out from the top from where the duo was stood. The Temple would soon disappear from view as they made their way down a slight incline of a hill, the sun had begun to set on the horizon as they did so.

After a while of silence on Sji's part they had made it to the entrance of the forest, from within a blood curdling scream filled the air calling out bloody murder. Sji's mouth twitched into a smile, he tilted his head to one side straining to try and hear more Sji looked at Yato.

"Now what Yatty?" Sji had an idea of what the answer would be, he had some ideas of his own but he didn't mind taking the back seat and letting someone else make the decisions it made life simpler so that he could enjoy things more and not worry about the macromanagement. Sji tugged on his own jacket straightening it out as he waited for his orders, Sji waited for Yato to take the first steps inside the forest more out of respect for Yato's capabilities than any form of fear or nerves.

They passed a pair of fresh corpses in the forest, both were soaked in water. There was a light fog still lingering in the air around here, night had long since fallen by this point and Sji yawned slightly. "That temple might make a good place to stop for the evening if you want, maybe we will get lucky and find whoever did this would make for some good evening entertainment." Sji chuckled a little, allowing Yato the time to make the final decision.

Turmoil in the Land of Rivers and Streams

Post by Fake » Sun Jun 17, 2018 10:02 pm

The black mist that followed Yato's chakra-coated body was just one of many things that would feel all too wrong in the gentle homely atmosphere of the River Country. Although he usually took to quelling down the passive leak of chakra constructs, the truth was, he simply didn't care. In a bum land like the River Country, the most he ever expected to find was some booger-flinging samurai that wouldn't get so much as a scratch off on him. And despite the fact that the country itself was nestled in between some serious militant forces like Kumo, Konoha, and Iwa, he shrugged off the constant paranoia that clawed at the back of his mind.

He wasn't going to get killed; he was sure of it. Perhaps such thinking was illogical and unreasonable for a high-bounty criminal like himself, but over the time he had spent gathering forces for his organization, Yato had developed a confidence in both himself and his ambitions. That wasn't to say he wasn't confident to begin with; this progression was just icing on top of the cake.

Yato peered back at the chipper Sji who followed him around like a pup. Although the two were on their way to picking up a contract, it wasn't like they had to stick together in their travels. In fact, a recent urge to push anybody around him out of the way had grown within him, making his hands twitch whenever he would glance at the boy. Just as his hands began to twitch in angst, Sji had begun to speak. He wasn't one to speak of his past in detail; having only told a single person ever, he was hesitant, but the innocent red-eyed boy posed no threat to him in any way, so he responded briefly.

"Snuck out with someone else. 'All that garbage' is exactly the trait that allowed me to get out in the first place. Konoha is filled with oppressive trash that sticks to you like warts. All you have to do is know how to find a knife to cut them off with." He left it at that. Any more was pointless small talk.

The opaque black mist that seeped from Yato's body and permeated the air about them flowed into the area where Vixen was, just as Yato and Sji heard the screams and cries of dying shinobi. He stared back at Sji, and rather than smiling, his lips curled into a grimace. "Bodies are dropping quickly. Judging by the chakra signatures, there's a few shinobi ambushing a single shinobi. Probably a nukenin, I guess." He shrugged; the nukenin's chakra signature was none other than Vixen's, and it hardly impressed him. He figured the girl was only a bit stronger than Sji, at best.

As they passed by the numerous dead bodies that floated in the water, Yato's eyes narrowed as he peered forward at the single remaining chakra signature that stood far ahead, unable to see with his own two eyes who exactly it was. Still, Sji suggested that the two stay in the temple; Yato himself felt otherwise. "No. I'm going to get rid of this last person before anything..." He paused for just a moment before continuing. "I've never mentioned this to you, but I can feel anything and anyone in this dark mist that follows me, Sji." He didn't know whether or not he actually had ever mentioned it to the boy, but he figured now was a better time than ever.

Without so much as a notice, the wings on Yato's back let out a single flowing swing before he flew up into the air. He peered from side to side, looking for the chakra signature he noticed.

It didn't take to long to find the Vixen. Dropping back to the ground, he walked over to the stream that Vixen stood near, as the black mist continued to push further and further, likely enveloping Vixen completely, at this point.

Yato himself had a demonic appearance, as his armor had taken the form of a black, flaming winged demon; only his eyes were visible--amethyst gems with a cocky hubris seemed to stand out among the morbid black that surrounded the rest of his body. He did not bother speaking to Vixen, nor did he bother greeting himself in any manner. All he needed to do was make sure that his presence was made known, as he stood several meters away from the fox girl.

Black mist, that was a new one. Red mist she knew of, though rare. Still, mist was mist. It wasn’t hard to guess where this new arrival was likely to have come from and why he was here. No matter. Killing a third would likely be as simple as the first two. If he was anything like her, taking away his hiding place would likely put him at a disadvantage. On the other hand, she wasn’t afraid to fight in the open or up close. Her three tails drew upward as she inhaled, hands flashing through seals, fingers lubricated by hot blood that still oozed from her split palm. A shiver passed up through her spine to her shoulders as her hands pressed together, a delicious jolt of pain spreading a grin across her vulpine face. Then she breathed out, her tails swishing downward as a counterbalance as she leaned forward and exhaled a torrent of stinging wind.

Loose detritus and soil were thrown into the air beside stream water as the wind blasted away from her with Yato at the center of the funnel. Broad leaves blown from the trees were sliced to bits in the wind, revealing the true nature of the technique as more than a simple gust. Though not as deadly as some of her other techniques, this one was a fair sight faster to execute. As her lungs rapidly emptied of the elementally manipulated chakra, she knew that she wouldn’t be able to muster many more techniques before she was simply too tired.

As the wind faded, she drew a senbon into her right hand from her left arm cuff, holding the throwing needles between her forefinger and thumb with the point out as she prepared for what would come next.

Jutsu UsedShow
Fuuton • Great Breakthrough
C-Ranked Fuuton Jutsu
Prerequisite: Ninjutsu 15
By performing the needed hand seals and bringing their hands to their mouth, the user can release a wide blast of air. This wave of air moves outward in a cone shape with a 15m width at the end of the cone and moves with a speed of 15. Once it makes contact with a substance, the wind pushes it away with 15 strength, applying the cutting passive as normal. This blast goes out for a maximum of 10m if it doesn't hit anything, where it will dissipate into the surrounding air.

"Oh, fair enough." Sji found this new ability rather convenient it would be better to deal with whoever was responsible for this before they went to settle for the night, Sji followed behind once Yato had landed back on the ground. Sji moved cautiously as they went, he was a few steps behind Yato as a result as they approached where the culprit had stopped for the moment.

Sji did not get a good look at the nukenin as he was drawn to her hands as she began her handseals, Sji went through a set of hand seals of his own in response rapidly putting them together with practice and experience that showed. The wind blasted towards the air, a silhouette of Sji seemed to be cut violently all over his body, those exact same pieces however clattered to the ground revealing a cut up log in place of where Sji had stood prior. He had swapped with a log off to the left side of the cone with the Jutsu centred on Yato he only had to move eight meters or so however he had not been wholly familiar with the technique and had gone a full ten meters instead to the left of the cone of fuuton that swept it's way towards Yato.

Sji tried to keep the same amount of distance between himself on the shinobi, he still had a clear view of Yato as the technique continued on it's warpath he had no doubt in his mind that Yato would be able to deal with such a technique. Sji began to prepare another set of hand seals, a plan began formulating in his mind now he was out of immediate danger it may prove to be unnecessary though as Sji had seen the fate of many who attacked Yato, justified or not. He laughed gleefully as he thought of Yato tearing someone limb from limb, it was during that time he got a good look at the Shinobi who had attacked them without hesitation.
Jutsu UsedShow
*[Basic Jutsu • Change of Body Stance Technique]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After completing the necessary handseals, the user is able to quickly substitute his/her body with a nearby object that is at least 2/3rds his/her size, but no bigger than their body. This substitution allows the object to take the force of the attack that was meant for the user, additionally allowing the user to create distance between him/her and the opponent. The object used in this jutsu may not be objects that are imbued with chakra or controlled by it, and they may also only be single, solid objects within a 20 metre radius of the user. This technique may only be used a total of one time in a single thread, give or take how many times Shunshin no Jutsu has already been used.

"Oho..." He smirked at the young girl who immediately reacted with combat. She had guts--that was for sure. "Sure. Let's see it." As his smile widened his eyes followed suit in the same manner, and he outspread his arms and stood still as the girl formed hand seals and let loose a blast of wind. The blast was, like most ninjutsu, stronger than Yato's physical strength, and he was sent flying backwards through the trees as small blades cut into his armor but did little to nothing.

As he flew back, his eyes traced the sliced up logs that took Sji's place. In just a brief moment, his 'trip' was abruptly ended as he came into impact with a tree. Staring at his hands, he shrugged at the fact that the attack hadn't done anything to him, and began flying back towards Vixen and Sji.

"My turn...?" Yato put on an expression of contemplation as he flew forth, debating whether or not to kill the girl on the spot. "Keke... Nah." Regardless of what Sji was about to try, he wanted to play with the gutsy girl. It was obvious that he was unscathed; he was curious as to whether or not the girl would attack him again, despite the fact that her attack did little to nothing. After landing back onto the ground, he would channel chakra throughout his body, after which he would instantly appear in front of her once again. "Try again, Furry-chan?" He cackled with heavy breaths, letting his high-pitched screeching echo throughout the forest.

A-Ranked Nintaijutsu
After channeling chakra into their body, the user enhances their movement to attack or retreat suddenly, the ninja almost instantly moves up to 20 meters on the ground in a single straight direction. While doing this, the ninja cannot move through anything or anyone, nor can they supplement it with an attack of any kind. After the quick movement has stopped, there is a brief pause where the user must recover from the movement. Even though it's not a full teleportation, this jutsu uses up one of the 2 teleportations a character can use in a single thread.

Two on one, and these two weren’t marching to her drummer. It was time to make it two on none. She slung the senbon in her right hand at Yato as he slammed into the tree to empty it, needing her hands once again to form seals. She didn’t have high hopes for the senbon penetrating the armor that protected the other ninja, but perhaps a bit of the liquid on the tip of the throwing needle would make its way into his eyes or nose despite it’s probable lack of penetration. With her hands emptied one more she began to seal, blood coated fingers slipping against one another, until Yato appeared directly in front of her. Well, shit.

Still, there was naught to do but finish the technique. She had already molded the chakra, stopping now would have meant a loss of energy with no return, something she couldn’t afford. At least if she finished her current jutsu, she’d be cutting off line of sight between her and the other ninja. Perhaps it might even serve to keep him from properly executing whatever technique he was preparing for her.

Should she be able to finish her technique, the humid air would once again coalesce into a thick blanket around them all. Vixen would leap backwards, kicking into a back handspring. Rather than simply bounce off of her hand and return to a standing position though, she made a quick set of handseals mid handspring, launching a jet of water from both hands to launch herself off from her upside-down position, seeking to add even more distance between herself and Yato in the oppressive mist. Enough fighting on their terms. It was time to take back the initiative and win.

Sji had finished his hand seals just as she began her own, he fired off the technique as the mist began to roll inwards Sji wasn't so bothered if she had attempted to move as the bolt of lightning seared across the air at an alarming speed for most present. Either way he had done his part, time to let Yato handle the rest.

The bolt hit where she once had stood and exploded in a flash of yellow, crackling of lightning was heard from the area of the explosion. Sji wondered if Yato had been anywhere near the blast, he hadn't really taken the time to check although he suspected that he would be able to deal with anything of this scale in some manner or other. If not then he was not the person he though, he waited to see the result of the fight before jumping to any conclusions however. Sji was going to take a break from the fight in the meantime, he could still fight but had no real desire to overexert himself when Yato was already involved in the fight.

Sji wondered what the deal was with this Nukenin anyways, attacking them out of the blue like that. Not that Sji and Yato had not done the same on many occasions although Sji spoke for himself at the very least when he said he always had a reason for killing someone. Nobody died that he did not think deserved to die, that was the kind of power the stronger held over the weaker, life and death.

He wished the mist was not in the way as it obscured the fight he was hoping to watch, in any event Sji remained on guard in the event that he was dragged back into the fight once again. The mist user could at the very least handle themselves not that it meant very much in the face of what was likely to come, Yato never struck Sji as the sort to hold back he wondered if he even knew how. The forest was alive with all manner of creatures scurrying to avoid this battle or flee even further from it, the large area of mist had covered most of the site of their battle at this point. He wondered if they would draw the attention of other people if their fight continued, if those other two had been hunting her as Yato had suggested then it was likely that there could be more of them looking for her.

The needles that Vixen had thrown flicked off of Yato's armor with a satisfying click, dropping to the ground before a mist began to roll around the area. Yato stood still as the mist rolled around and inhibited his sight, only chuckling at the feeble attempt to disarray him. He couldn't help but applaud sarcastically with loud, slow claps that would be heard from where Vixen was. Although it wasn't evident, the black mist that surrounded him was more than enough to track someone precisely through the signature Kirigakure technique.

Although he had intentionally given the girl more than enough chances to fight back, it was time to formally end things.

Hands loosened from his body, ready to subdue the girl, but he would be interrupted by a sudden blast of lightning that would explode right at his feet. Although his body was uninjured, his strength wouldn't be able to sustain the sheer force of the explosion, and would be knocked forward several meters. He would lay still on the floor for a short moment before sighing--Sji was going to need some training for sure.

Standing back up, he focused in Vixen's direction as the hands that floated around him would poise and immediately flew straight at Vixen. The speed of the hands would be blinding--inhuman, almost, and the hands would aim to grab the girl's wrists, ankles, and torso before lifting her several feet off of the ground in order to completely subdue her movement. If successful, Yato would walk over to her position, staring straight at her through the mist that was supposed to cover her position. "Name?" He would say, in a cheerful tone; the tone was more of an indication that Yato hadn't taken the fight seriously at all, and at that, he aimed to demoralize her aggressive behavior.
Jutsu UsedShow
One For All
S-Rank Ninjutsu
Using the chakra receivers embedded in his body and the hands, Yato is capable of making the hands move according to his chakra control so long as he focuses on them. Channeling chakra into the receivers allows him manipulate the hands independently of his body. These hands can travel up to [(Ninjutsu + Control)/2] meters from his body. These hands move with a speed and strength both equal to [(Ninjutsu + Control)/2]. Yato must maintain concentration upon these hands to use them, meaning techniques outside of Ninjutsu, Iijutsu, or those dedicated to these hands will cause them to go dormant and return to his body to their proper positions. It should be noted he can only manipulate a number of hands equal to his [Instinct/2.5]. This jutsu does not require the use of handseals. This jutsu is required to be used prior to any other jutsu regarding Transcendent Hands.

Turmoil in the Land of Rivers and Streams

She was halfway through her back handspring when her ears detected the lightning zipping through mist. Being upside down and in midair, there was little she could do in the time she had to counter the technique. The lightning struck and exploded, throwing her another meter back as its electrical power surged through her body, numbing her from feet to face. She didn’t feel the impact of her body against the ground as more than a dull thud. Her head smacked into the ground as she went down, small contusions being ripped open in the exposed flesh of her back, legs, and arms as she slid to a stop in the dirt.

Vixen had yet to recover her bearings when the hands closed around her extremities and torso. They were so strong that struggling against them was like trying to move the earth or resist the movement of a freight train. Fortunately for her, she didn’t mind pain. In fact, quite the opposite was true. Pain was sacred and wonderful.

As Yato approached she writhed in the air, seemingly trying to dislocate her own limbs in an effort to get free. She didn’t have enough room or leverage to make that happen, nor could her blood slicked hands and wrists slip free. She had indeed bitten her own lips with her fangs, drawing blood, as she let out what sounded like a mixture of a yowl and a purr.

“Are you here to send me to Lord Jashin?”, she asked with another thrash, three tails swishing underneath. “Because I’m ready.”

Her silted eyes looked Yato’s direction in the mist. Even if he wasn’t close enough to see, she could sense him through the small hairs on the inside of her fox ears.

Turmoil in the Land of Rivers and Streams

Sji was wandering through this mist almost aimlessly, at last he came across a silhouette suspended in the air and a second stood in front of it "Yatty~ Are you finished with that Nukenin? Hoped you left some for me." He saw the silhouette in the air swish slightly, was that a tail? Sji wondered what on earth they had just caught, maybe it was not a Nukenin after all just maybe they had caught a kitsune Sji giggled with glee at the thought of capturing a fox spirit.

He stepped to the point where the pair were now visible to the naked eye, even he paused at the scene Yato had her suspended in the air which was not unusual what had him confused was the fact she seemed to be getting off on this. Laughing in the face of death Sji understood, this one was occasionally purring though which immediately reminded him of his previous excitement. He began darting around her lifting her tail, hopping up and poking her ears lightly to see if they were indeed real.

"It... It... It is adorable! Yatty!~ Can we keep it? Oh please? What even is it? Is it a actually a she? What does she eat? Do you think the tails make it awkward to poop?" He began firing off all these questions in rapid fashion before moving around to face the front of the Nukenin, he would give her a genuine smile. "Nice to meet ya, I am Sji do you have a name? What are your favourite things to do? They could become my favourite things to do to I love learning new things, if you don't have a name don't worry I am sure we can come up with one between us! This is going to be so much fun! Yatt- Yato-senpai please can we take her with us? Think of the places we can go, the strange cultures we can explore and all the interesting people we can kill!" It had been some time since Sji had been excited about anything as much as this, sure he would sometimes tell Yato about how much he is excited but rarely did he display it in a manner like this.

"Hey hey where did you learn to do this Mist stuff, isn't that Kirigakure's shtick? Do you think you could teach me some of it? What other cool stuff can you do?" Yato could have been speaking at this moment in time but Sji was too fascinated by whoever this was before him, having never come across someone like this before had all his curiosity pistons firing.
