Flames of revenge [Closed]

Post by Zao » Wed Jul 25, 2018 5:18 pm

This was another rather ordinary day within the extremely unordinary place that consisted of a youthful looking white haired man's personally constructed realm. On a floating island with a rather plain looking bamboo constructed building set Zao, seated peacefully within the thick grass that was found on the island's surface at the moment. His brilliant blue eyes start off outside of his own realm into the distant and changing effects of spaces as numerous start could be seen in every direction one looks, even closer ones that somewhat resembled the appearance of our own sun as they illuminated the island and cast a gentle warmth upon the former Suna ninja's flawless looking skin.

Though for many this would have been a breath taking sight it was something that the scholar had truly become accustom to after having lived within this place for nearly a handful of years on and off since retiring from the ranks of shinobi and beginning to travel and adventure through the known world and even beyond in some cases. Suddenly though the man's brows furrowed lightly as he turned his gaze sharply to the left as though their was something that had gotten his attention. But when one turned they would see nothing but empty space to the edge of his realm's barrier and past that was nothing but empty space as well out towards a pair of giant looking red and blue planets that ran along the same orbit to one another. It was truly a mesmerizing sight to behold when one looked at it and it would cause for that person to almost get lost looking at the strange sight even if it wasn't their first time actually seeing it.

'Was I just imagining it?" Zao couldn't help but question himself a bit as for a brief moment his intimate connection to this personal realm of his was trembled lightly, almost as if someone else was trying to force their way into it just now. Though he questioned the feeling the man had grown rather accustom to trusting in his instincts and in many causes it had been amongst the many reasons the youthful man was still alive at this point in time. Reaching down with his right hand causing it to almost disappear into the thick, lush grass beneath him the man lifted himself into a standing position as he faced the direction that the spoken of feeling had come from.

Then out of no where came this sudden sensation of heat as their was a tear in space that appeared in an instant as a flaming meteorite looking object that was nearly twenty meters wide came crashing down passing right through the barrier edge of Zao's personal realm. It approached from a high angle and plunged down into his own realm no as the man formed a single handed seal before his brilliant blue eyes began to glow lightly while a slight frown could be found upon the man's thin lips. For he knew that this was not something from space that was capable of tearing a hole through space time and his best guess giving the brief exposure to the situation was that it was some type of spirit.

It was in that moment that he recalled the last time a creature from the spirit world had invaded his own personal realm and the brief but powerful battle that ensued shortly afterwards. Could this comet like thing be another creature from that realm who is searching for the creature that he turned into a spirit weapon? The youthful shinobi couldn't be sure about anything but as his chakra rapidly formed above him into a cube shaped barrier of chakra he knew that in a few moments thing would become much more clear. Though just from observing the object as it fell it seemed to not be under its own control, at least for the most part now as it spun downward and the traveler could make out what looking almost like feathery wings on the creature as it drew closer and slammed into the barrier now.

The force as actually enough to destroy the first wall it impacted but the wall had also absorbed some of the power of the creature causing for it to hit the next wall before coming to a stop within what remained of the barrier. Under the man's control he saw that what he had caught within the box of chakra was a flaming bird, more precisely a phoenix. As the large barrier fell and dispersed chakra strings extended from the tips of every finger on the man's unused left hand and attached themselves onto the body of the creature as the flames slowly died out revealed the fiery red color of its feathers and skin. But what was most noticeable was the blood leaking from numerous wounds upon its body.

It became rapidly apparent that this creature must have used some special method of escape from its own realm most likely in order to avoid a fatal strike, but even the young man couldn't help but shake his head slightly at the barely conscious creature that appeared to be on its death bed. Controlling the legendary bird's descent now he couldn't help but sigh in amazement as this was the first time ever seeing such a creature before then feeling a bit of sorrow accumulate within his heart at its present condition that he could do nothing about. As it touched down lightly onto the grassy island the man extended his left hand out to touch the feathers on the massive bird's next as he looked at its gigantic head and beak next to him.

The spirit bird's left eye slowly fluttered open as it gazed at the man with his palm against it but was unable to struggle much due to the injuries that it had sustained in battle, a faint sigh escaped from its hard beak as it already knew that it escaped to late being hit with part of the final attack and its fate as already decided. "How did you become so injured my friend?" A kind smile formed upon the traveler's lips as he turned to gaze at the phoenix no trying to determine what happened to the prestigious bird who undoubtedly possessed tremendous strength in its prime condition. "Small human...it was in battle against the ice phoenix clan. Those beast are rather sly..." The creature seemed to not care that it was being questioned by the human and responded through its rather unrhythmic breathing as it spoke about the clan of ice phoenix, something that caught the spirit enthusiast off guard as there were very few mentions about these types of phoenix.

Human kind really had very little experience with this type of legendary bird and it was not even known if any human had ever been able to make a contract with one of the mythical creatures. Immediately the young man became very interested in the words of the creature as he nodded and spoke only briefly. "I can only assume that your clans are at war, my friend." The large basketball sized red eye slowly closed as if silently saying yes before the creature started to speak once more, the nobility easily heard within its voice despite the body's current condition. "Just let me die you puny little human, our war does not involve you nor does it need your involvement..."

'Hmm, this spirit is filled with regret and even rage for the race of ice phoenix...' Removing his hand from the dying spirit the young man with his semi long hair then began to weave a long series of hands seals but with his blurring hand speed it only took a couple seconds to actually finish the long string of hand seals as his body glowed brightly for a moment with a chakra blue outline. Then a droning sound could be heard as the eight white obelisk that were placed in every corner of the personal realm began to hum and glow brightly illuminating the entire realm with an almost divine light before they started to dim down. Time within the area had actually been slowed down and the wounded spirit was effected by the slowed time leaving only Zao unaffected at the moment, the former shinobi was giving himself some time to think as he looked on at the creature before him.

It was true that he was unable to save him with his current skills and this was something that brought some sorrow into the man's heart but he knew that perhaps he could save him in another way so that one day perhaps he could revive the creature once his level of expertise reached its apex. With nothing more than a thought the man extended the right hand and grasped at the air and a large fan that was nearly a meter in length was summoned to his hand by the special fuuin seal that was inscribed upon the metal folding fan. This special weapon was something that the young man was planning to use to create another spirit weapon with and right before him was a very powerful spirit that would otherwise die but if it was sealed into the weapon it would continue to live on as a spirit weapon.

Though the man was sure that the creature would rather die then become a mere Tsukumogami for a human, such a noble bloodline spirit were hard to make contracts with as they would never lower themselves to the level of an ordinary spirit. This caused the man to shake his head at the thought of having such a powerful spirit at his disposal but the thoughts were truly for nothing, yet this was the best he could do for the wounded bird at the moment now placing the fan down at his feet after snapping it completely open. Then the man opened his left hand as if grasping for the air and with a poof a one foot diameter jar appeared within the palm of the up turned hand in that moment and covering nearly the entirety of the jar's exterior were complicated fuuin. This was a temporary housing container that was used to store a defeated spirit in order to use them at a later time either with creating Tsukumogami or other things depending on the need of the Tenku user.

First things first was that Zao needed to seal away the creature as he removed the lid with the slender fingers of the right hand before placing the open jar down on the ground next to the creature's head as he stepped back and then set down in a lotus style position with legs crossed and hands placed together as if he was praying. Closing his eyes the man began to circulate a large portion of chakra but his body didn't glow with its normal blue hue and instead a crimson layer of chakra formed around his body and moved to the jar directly in front of him as the fuuin inscriptions began to glow and wiggle as if they had suddenly been given life of their own. "Boy, do you really plan on trying to seal me away in that piece of shit jar right there?"

It was the voice of the phoenix now as it was heard within the young man's thoughts having been projected to him mentally. The old fire bird was no rookie and could completely understand what was happening despite being influenced by the slowed time of Zao's realm and even lacking the strength to speak it had instead started to communicate telepathically with the scholar at this point in time. "Would you rather just die off and never have your power used against your enemy, the ice phoenix clan, again?" As the Tenku user spoke back to the wounded spirit it's massive eye opened slowly once more to glance at the small human by its side at the moment, almost unsure what to make out of his words as it seemed to almost want to open its large beak to say something but in the end found out that it was unable to muster the strength in order to do so. Instead it opted to continue speaking through the mental link that it had established with Zao. "Then you mean..."

"Of course I mean that after I seal your body away that I'm going to take a journey to your realm. It is a rare opportunity for a person like myself to be able to view the phoenix realm as it is something that I've only heard about in legends. At that time allow for me to take revenge against the clan that injured you so severely. I will then seal away that spirit as well turning them into spirit weapon, as well." Zao spoke with certain amount of calmness within his soft voice, within that calm voice was a touch of excitement at the thought of journeying to the spirit realm from which this legendary bird had came from. "Heh..." The old bird laughed to himself at the thought of the foe of his also being turned into a weapon like himself as he then closed his eye and allowed for his head to tilt to the right now. "Boy, when you try to do this make sure you use my name at that time. I'm known as Miao."

Zao's words had moved the old creature, if his flames could continue to live on and do battle with the nemesis of his own clan then that was enough for him to be able to go peacefully at this time and from just the demeanor and look within the young man's bright blue eyes it felt that this boy was just crazy enough to actually go into his own realm to attempt such a feat. "Senior Miao, allow me to begin then. Just rest and you will not feel any more pain." Their was a certain softness within the shinobi's gaze as he stared at the massive fire bird before him and with a second thought his hands formed another seal with the mixing of each hand's fingers and crimson chakra in the form of chains erupted from within the sealing jar now. A total of ten thin but powerful chains enveloped the large creature in only a few moments now and began to drag the spirit into the jar between the two of them. After a short time had passed the phoenix was completely sealed, the task having been rather easy due to the creature submitting itself to being sealed at this time and not fighting tooth and nail in a futile attempt to escape the grasp of the sealing chains like many other spirits would have attempted to do.

A slow exhale escaped the man's thin lips as he watched the last of the maroon chains being pulled into the jar before the lip seemed to almost magically levitate and move into its proper place atop the now rather ordinary jar with a light tap sound before the wiggling fuuin markings then spread up onto the lid completing the sealing technique at this time. Finally each hand released from the other and were allowed to rest for a moment as Zao had an accomplished look on his face after sealing away the spirit but in the back of his mind he knew that the promise he had made to the bird was something he most definitely would keep. Slowly his gaze shifted onto the unfolded large metal war fan in front of him. Taking out a ink brush the man began to add more fuuin inscriptions onto the surface of the metal fan in preparation for sealing the bird into the weapon in order to create a new Tsukumogami. This would be come only the second spirit weapon that the white haired man would have created but from his first attempt the man had learned a number of things and was beginning to understand the power such a weapon could contain within their simple appearances.

The metal war fan was a simple, dull grey hue like that of recently forged metal with nothing special about its appearance aside from the intricate fuuin markings that covered over seventy five percent of the weapon's surface area. Though it was not visible to the normal eye those with astute perception could tell that the structure had been altered slightly through the tempering of the metal with chakra. One of the basic components needed in order to create a Tsukumogami was to ensure the weapon was capable of holding the spirit within then the special fuuin would allow for one to use their own chakra to tap into some of the power that the spirit had before being sealed away. This technique also required a large amount of chakra due to the strength of grand soul level spirit before him.

Exhaling slowly the man's hands began to twist into a series of both known and unique hand seals created of his own research and practice, then his entire body began to be illuminated as maroon chakra that appeared more like flames surged forth from his body as Zao then used his left hand to reach down and place it palm down on the war fan. Then using the other hand the man placed his hand upon the lid of the sealing jar that currently contained the phoenix spirit within allowing for a link to be established between them both now. This part of the technique took several minutes as sweat began to run down the sides of the white haired scholar's face and drip from his pointed chin. Finally after several minutes the man remove the lid from the sealing jar as powerful flames could be seen swirling within the simple looking jar. Both hands once more twisted into a series of complicated, unique hand seals as the chakra swirling around the former Suna-nin suddenly intensified and expanded from his body to engulf the war fan ad spirit container.

A while later the intense chakra flames began to die down revealing a pale faced young man who was drenched in sweat as the bright crimson light retracted until it had completely disappeared back within the thin man's body at this moment. Finally the hands broke from the odd hand seal and his upper torso fell forward as both hands grasped for the ground to brace him. Despite his appearance their was a slight smirk the hung on the corners of the man's lips at this moment, for he could tell that he was definitely stronger then the last time he used this technique having only required him to use half of his chakra pool instead of closer to sixty or seventy percent from the time before. Perhaps he was truly reaching the apex of being a shinobi....or at least beginning to approach that legendary level.
