[Close Time • Water realm]
S-rank Jikukan Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: 40 Ninjutsu, 50 Control, [Close Time: Mist]
An altered, more powerful version of the original technique, the user will channel chakra throughout his body before dispersing it throughout a 50 meter radius from the user. The affected area will appear somewhat wavy and distorted, as if looking through a thin veil of water, though it does not obscure or hamper vision. Within this area, they effectively become a master of time, and can selectively Close Time around anything within the area by simply focusing their attention on it for a brief moment. The thing(s) in question will then remain closed in time until the end of the technique's duration. Everything he closes is closed by its strength, requiring more than its strength to move it or move through it. This area lasts for 7 posts.

There was unfinished business there…
With a flash of the right hand a single kunai was drawn and thrown from the right thigh holster, tossing the metal weapon through the portal which soon closed leaving no evidence that there had ever been a tear through to the spirit realm. “That young chuunin, I must go there and at least retrieve her body for her family.” The solemn words slipped out from the man’s thin lips as he turned around and walked quietly across the luscious, thick blades of dark green grass and into the average looking bamboo structure. The young man returned about half an hour later with a dark grey pack upon his back and the long white hair tied back into a loose pony tail on the back of Zao’s head at this point, a fiery red sword and metal folding war fan was placed onto either side of the pack as the man closed the door quietly shut behind him. “I will come get you and return you back to your family…” The words were spoken with a heavy heart, hints of sadness easily identifiable within the almost whisper of words at that point, another kunai was drawn from the right leg holster and placed down gentle onto the ordinary stone table. Then the slender, almost feminine like fingers of the left hand grasped a single kunai by the loop and withdrew it from the left thigh now, then without warning some chakra was placed into the kunai and Zao along with his little golden vine instantly disappeared traveling through space.
Only a moment in time passed, but the beautiful star scape of the young Suna nin’s personal realm were gone and replaced with the smell of blood and death, Zao found himself back within the war torn realm of the Minotaur that appeared to be exactly the same as when the group of shinobi had managed to escape from its cruelty on that day but the female medic was a step to slow and Zao was unable to reach her in time. Recalling the scene the man unconsciously reached up with the right hand and touched a long scar that ran down the left shoulder and bicep; remembering how he was less than a foot away from the chuunin when she was cut down by that rain of golden arrows and it was this now healed old wound that was given to him on that day as if to serve him as a reminder of the scene that day, how he had been too weak to do what was needed. While there was still hints of sadness on the flawless face and within the bright blue eyes that seemed to shine slightly, there was another emotion that was rapidly growing; this was something that one rarely saw within the scholarly man, anger. It was like a fire had been reignited within the former Jounin’s chest, it was this strange feeling that caused him to curse silently to himself in that moment as the man’s gaze shifted over the pieces of armor, weapons, and even pieces of bodies could be found in almost every direction.
When the brilliant blue gaze fell upon the northern direction, the sacred mountain that the group had travelled toward for a number of months within the march of the army the shinobi had been captured by came into full view causing him to suck in a breath of cold air. It was because of their need to discover if there was a manner for them to leave this realm that they had joined the clan of Minotaur to fight against any who opposed them in a single hope; that hope was that within this so called ‘sacred’ mountain was a transporter like the one which had brought the group into the spirit world at that time. Who would have thought that two other armies would arrive and that such a large scale battle would occur because of what might have laid within the mountain. Clenching his fist to the point that the knuckles turned white losing the slight color that the Suna shinobi had, the mixed emotions of sadness, anger, and even complete frustration couldn’t help but well up and mix together as he had inadvertently recalled that battle and how he could only help a little at that time. Only a faint wind could be heard upon the eerie remnants of the battlefield upon which the retired jounin found himself, adjusting the straps of the pack and holstering the kunai in the fingertips of the left hand now, Zao calmed himself and then prepared for the journey ahead of him and began to walk one step at a time towards the distant mountain.
Understanding just how massive the natural structure had been and estimating that it would still take two or three weeks to be able to reach it at the pace he was going, something he had already been prepared for learning from the experiences of the previous journey to this realm. Three weeks later the young man stood upon another battlefield, in his arms was what appeared to be something human sized wrapped in a snow white sheet of cloth that was secured shut at the moment in the scholar’s arms. In front of him were black armored bull men, the same ones from that fateful day when the young chuunin had lost her life unable to be saved by the Suna shinobi who now held her body. They stood before him as though they were blocking his entrance into the sacred mountain, assuming that just like last time he would need to enter the old ruins to be able to escape from their grasp. A rain of arrows fell upon the man as he watched them arch upwards into the sky and in response the nearby area in a sphere around the shinobi began to become hazy as the effect expanded out from him. When the weapons of war struck the strange barrier they became frozen in space, suspended in mid-air, this was the power of space time. But after experiencing the travels through the spirit realms the man had gained many insights and the manipulation of space was amongst them. A sharp gaze appeared in his eyes as the man’s slender facial features tightened and chakra became visible to the naked eye as a massive amount of chakra began to form within him.
As the warriors were debating their next attack the man’s small barrier of space-time chakra suddenly began to rapidly expand and in a short few moments it reached almost a fifty meter radius from the man, the area contained within its boundaries almost looked like water as it was somewhat distorted within. It was at that moment the large Minotaur leader had already drawn back his bow and a massive golden arrow was formed within it’s the spirit’s grasp. The snap of the string was heard as it was sent careening downwards from the back of the army towards the new barrier of space-time chakra and Zao’s only response was to glance up at the creation which could easily destroy anything within a hundred meters of its impact point and shake his head. As soon as the arrow entered the area it was willed to a complete stop by the ninja, closed in time. After that three puffs of chakra smoke formed in front of him and the man’s three spirit companions stood before him with experienced looks…a short time later as the three spirits held off the army a massive orb hung in the air that drew the battle to a stop. This was no ordinary attack, it was one that the man had placed a large portion of his enormous stamina pool into, this was a personal attack that would allow for him to extract a bit of the pain he felt inside for the dead woman in his arms. This orb was close to five hundred meters in diameter and hung there without moving, even the battlefield drew quiet and the only thing that was heard was the soft voice of the young man…”This is for my friend here…” With those words the orb began to zip towards the center of the Minotaur army as the spirits and Zao withdrew back to his personal realm before a two mile wide explosion rocked the area leaving no survivors of the small army. In that moment of rage Zao had spared none of them…
