Sand and sun were all that could be seen for miles. A vast desert, devoid of all life save one wanderer, spread out in every direction. Every so often, ruins of some deserted town could be seen in the distance, but they were ignored. Something drove the wanderer deeper and deeper into the barren wasteland.
Eventually, a giant door appeared out of the sand. Having once been lost beneath the earth, shifting winds or some greater power had revealed the entrance. As the door opened for the first time in centuries, lights sparked to life, guiding a path down a spiral staircase, deep underground. With each step, sand and dust kicked up, disturbed for the first time in a long time. Finally, the steps ended and the wanderer was facing a massive library, greater than any seen before. Picking up a book, however, the wanderer, expecting to see some ancient knowledge, saw nothing. Every page of every book was blank.
In the middle of the library, on a small, circular dais, a single ring sat. Unadorned, it appeared as boring as any piece of jewelry, but in truth it held a great power.
A power Arashi Takumi was all too prepared to take for himself.

Something had driven the young Arashi Takumi to this moment. He didn't know what it was that drove him from his home among the mist to an environment so opposite his comfort zone, but something told him to follow this urge. His thirst had begun to influence him, and he thought he was seeing a mirage when he first stumbled upon an ancient door. When his hands pressed upon it, he knew he wasn't seeing things. Carefully, he opened the door, not worried about trapped gases: his guiding feeling made clear he would be safe.
When he had descended to the bottom of the stairs, he paused for a brief moment in awe of the massive store of knowledge before him. This was a paradise hidden beneath the sand. Takumi grabbed the first book, eager to learn more about this place. It was blank. He grabbed another, blank. In frustration, Takumi walked up the aisle until he reached a small pillar-like dais. On it was a plain looking ring, but something told him this small item was... precious. Without even thinking, Takumi quickly cast a series of handseals, and performed the Hidden Mist Technique before activating his doujutsu. This ring was the reason he was here, he couldn't be too cautious in case anyone had followed him.

Kirigakure no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by Hidden Mist Ninja. After forming the required hand seals, the ninja creates a blanket of mist which covers the area around them. The mist covers 20x20x20m area. The mist limits the visibility of those inside to 4 meters in any direction. This technique lasts a number of posts equal to 1/2 the user's stamina.
Dendougan – Electric Eye
The Dendougan is a Kekkei Genkai that developed in Takumi. Although it is not well known, it has powerful abilities. By activating his Dendougan, Takumi can detect electronic signals. The eyes gain electromagnetic sensors, granting Taku access to view electric fields (much like a shark under water), and replaces his normal vision. While the Dendougan is activated, Takumi’s vision changes to one based off of these electrical fields. Takumi sees the electrical fields as waves of light, and can see the sources of the electricity such as muscle movement and the nerve center clearly. The Dendougan works better underwater. In particulates, Takumi can detect these electrical signals normally without interference. These signals can be seen through thin clothing, but other solids block the signals. Through various jutsu (channeled and otherwise), Takumi can also use this to detect electrical signals through walls and perform other feats. The Dendougan is capable of ability channeling, allowing Takumi to activate some techniques related to his Doujutsu without hand seals.
Because the Dendougan can be taxing on the eyes, the amount of posts Takumi can utilize his Doujutsu is based on his stamina stat. Takumi can keep his Dendougan active for a time equal to his stamina stat divided by 4 rounded down, to a minimum of one post. Upon reaching the max duration, the stress of using the doujutsu to it’s limit causes a cooldown period of 1/2 of the duration time, to a minumum of one post. During this cooldown period, the Dendougan cannot be activated and attempting to do so will cause physical pain. Duration is based off total posts where the Dendougan is activated, meaning Takumi can turn it on and off to have a shorter cooldown.
