[Plotboard]Patrolling The Outskirts Of Juu no Kuni

Post by Gara » Sun Nov 04, 2018 10:00 pm

Xiao Li had been running along the massive wall of Juu no Kuni, searching for any changes that would give even the smallest clue as to where the entrance to the forgotten country was, when he came across a portion of forest that, while still hundreds of years old, and incredibly thick, was shorter, and less dense than the surrounding forest. This caused Xiao Li’s mood to instantly brighten, as he believed that he may have stumbled upon the entrance. However, as he searched through the forest along the wall, he was unable to discover even the smallest hint of a door. This initially caused Xiao Li to be disheartened, until he had the idea to start clearing the forest away in hopes of finding something that had been covered up.

After a few quick hand seals, Xiao Li summoned Tyrant from his scroll, and connected his puppet strings to the raptor puppet. He then used Tyrant’s nostril flamethrowers to set the forest on fire, hoping to burn everything to ash. Everything had been going according to Xiao Li’s plan, the forest had turned into a raging inferno, and was quickly burning away into nothingness, when there was a massive explosion that sent not only the raptor puppet Tyrant flying, but Xiao Li as well. Once Xiao Li regained his footing, and his composure, he saw just what exactly had released the explosion; a ten meter tall, blood-red, spirit that looked like a hybrid between gorilla, lemur, and bull, had appeared within the raging inferno that was once the forest. Xiao Li could only assume that he had destroyed some sort of massive sealing fuunin, which meant that this spirit had once been meant to ward off invaders. “Oh fuck me...this is just my luck. Hopefully it will not be overly strong, but you know what they say; the bigger they are the harder they hit.”

Zao had been coming from the village, moving through the thick branches of the trees that could be found between the western most mountains of Wind country and the boarder of Juu. He had only recently returned from his secluded training within his realm after the incidents that occurred with his journey through a handful of different spirit realms with his good friend Nori. The man was a bit different than before, yes his appearance was different then a few months ago when the two last spoke with a more mature looking face and long white hair that stretched down to nearly his waist even being tied up in a high pony tail on the back of his head. Appearing as though he'd been gone five years rather than three or four months, but it was more than just the slight changes in his appearance of seeming older. There was a rather noble aura about the man like he now had a purpose in life that wasn't just adventuring, he had returned to the village and now sported a head band that was tied loosely around his neck at the moment.

After his return the man had discussed things with the new Kage who had taken over, covering most of what Nori had covered when he'd been sent back to the village via Zao's space-time technique. Immediately afterwards the whited haired scholar had attempted to seek out his other young friend, Li, wishing to speak with him as he was thinking about making another attempt to enter the walled off country of strange chakra occurrences. The reasoning was that he believed that the spirits that had suddenly appeared within Wind country and had attacked both wind and Whirlpool country causing for the Hidden Leaf to become involved could be traced back to this mysterious country. This was determined through his new found knowledge of chakra learned from the ancient scroll left to him and Nori by the traveler, but this still was only a strong theory and he needed to get into the country to help look for more clues.

Yet, when he had searched out his friend those who knew him said that he'd went to look for clues about the giant wall that sealed off the country of Juu from the rest of its surrounding countries. Gather a few things the man began to travel towards the area the two of them last explored by stepping through space to a marker on the west side of the mountains in order to save time and maybe catch up to his friend. That would bring things back to where the man was now traveling through the tall trees that made up the old forest area as he leaped upwards ascending to the tree tops he was able to take note of a black cloud of smoke from a forest fire growing towards the northwest. A natural fire couldn't be ruled out but it seemed odd for something like that to happen without any natural causes like a lightning anywhere nearby, finding it a bit mysterious he formed a hand seal and a pair of beautiful chakra wings formed on his back. Then with a push off of a single foot into the air the wings gave a powerful flap and the white haired man was air borne as his long locks of white hair pushed back outstretching behind him as he traveled quickly towards the new destination.

It only took a short while to arrive as the man found a large stretch of land had been burnt down, moments before arriving an explosion like sound had been heard which put the man on guard now. "My young friend, were you so anxious that you couldn't wait for my return to come back here?" From behind him Li would hear a voice echo down from the sky as white clothed man who resembled his older friend now stood in the air, the four beautiful angelic looking wings flapping slowly yet still seemed to allow for him to hover easily. Though he spoke to Li, the man's eyes focused upon the large beast that appeared to be some sort of mixture of animals, something he'd seen happen in the spirit world but for one to exist here probably meant that it was something created by those who use to inhabit Juu. "Can you handle this one on your own?" Zao teased at the young man, interested if Li had grown any in his absence as he continued to observe the beast but what was just as interesting was the faint outline of a fuuin diagram that was directly underneath the beast's feet at this moment which he was able to more easily see from his overhead position.

From his experiences in the spirit realm he was able to immediately tell from the pressure that the beast was giving off that it was at least in the A ranked category of spirits, if not stronger, but what exactly was such a strong spirit protecting here on the perimeter wall. Was there truly an entrance nearby that Li had stumbled upon by pure chance? These questions and their possible answers excited the man but it seemed like they first needed to deal with this beast before them at the moment, for that he left the first move to either Li or the spirit. However Zao would not be as gentle or lenient as he had been in the past, seeing that such a way of thinking only resulted in the deaths of those one was trying to protect...

Before Xiao Li had any time to react to the other shinobi's arrival, the monster spirit appeared in front of him with it's fists raised in the air. The creature was so much faster than Xiao Li that he was unable to follow it's movements in the slightest. However, because the creature had paused when it noticed Zao in the sky, Xiao Li was able to flee, and put some distance between himself and the massive monster spirit. In the few seconds that the erroneously large, demon looking, creature was distracted by Zao's arrival, or only did Xiao Li put as much distance as he could between himself and the beast, but he also took out his Sand Storm dagger, and created a massive cyclone of sand around himself. This allowed Xiao Li time to relax, because, even if the humongous spirit beast was faster, and stronger, than he was, it would not be able to easily track him within the sand storm.

“To tell you the truth my friend, I only recently returned here. I had this wondrous new idea, and I just had to investigate it! And guess what? It seems like I am on the right path to the gate!” Xiao Li's voice was steady, and calm, though it seemed to get both closer, and further away, as he moved through the sandstorm to avoid the creature. As Xiao Li spoke he continuously circled the creature. While the forty meter circumference sphere of rotating, grinding sand was not able to trap the big, ugly, amalgamation of bestial spirits, it was able to continuously grind away it's flesh. So long as it remained within the sand. It's guttural roars could be heard from within the vortex of spinning sand, and it's massive flailing arms even broke out of the sand as it wildly attacked, hoping to find Xiao Li.

“As it stands- holy shit that was close- I don't think I can manage this guy on my own. This is currently my strongest defensive technique, and while it will eventually wear this thing down, I do not think that I have the chakra to do so. This thing is a massive chakra sink.” Xiao Li’s words were unhurried, and were just loud enough for his friend Zao to hear them. However, just as Xiao Li had finished speaking, the overly large, and quite grotesque, monster's hands began to glow with a faint red haze. As it swung it's hands through the sandstorm again, the red haze around it's hands actually destroyed the sand that it came in contact with. This terrified Xiao Li for a split second, though he quickly pushed the feeling down. “Did you see that red haze just now? It actually destroyed all of my sand that touched it! We have got to be careful with this one Zao!”

Xiao Li's usageShow
When Xiao Li channels an A-rank amount of chakra into the kunai, he is able to generate a A-rank strength sandstorm, and is able to move within the sandstorm unaffected. The circumference of the sandstorm is forty meters, and takes the shape of a sphere. While he moves within the sandstorm, Xiao Li is able to feel the location of every chakra source within the sandstorm, though he is not able to tell the difference between friend, or foe. The sandstorm spins at a speed of 25 with a strength of 25.

"Indeed, it does seem that you are on to something..." The mature looking man looked down at the battle field as the events unfolded, his appearance causing the creature to stop and reevaluate the situation at hand with two humans having stumbled upon the marker it was put in place to protect. Though it seemed to be more so lashing out at anyone who came near out of rage rather than a desire to protect whatever was here. Being sealed away for such a long time, this would have been an expected reaction by the spirit now as Zao saw his young friend take out a unique dagger and summon forth a powerful maelstrom of sand that helped to provide him some defense at the moment. A half smile found its way onto the white haired scholar's face, it would seem that Li had managed to create at least one powerful Tsuki while he had been away and he began to wonder what else the young man had learned while he'd been trapped in the spirit realms with Nori.

The older man only nodded to his comrades next words, was this really their chance to be able to find a method of entering the seemingly impregnable walls of Juu? Though he didn't have to much time to think as the roars of the creature from within the vortex of spiraling sand seemed to be growing louder as it struck out trying to pierce through the wall of sand before it in order to devour the human who stumbled upon its sealing diagram. As he watched the man was already formulating an attack strategy as he wanted to be able to capture this beast, if not for himself than for Li to help improve his strength but everything changed when he saw the red haze that was emitted by the beast. Being the scholar that Zao was, he was able to almost immediately identify the type of chakra being used, but he didn't want to believe it as it was something that he'd only seen from Konoha as it was a secret style used only by those of that village.

It was a style that was extremely powerful against physical objects and physical ninjutsu, such as the sand technique activated by Li's spirit weapon and it was in that moment that the man's demeanor instantly changed becoming much more serious. If this had been before the incident within the spirit realm then Zao would have probably tried to find a way to slowly wear the beast down in order to keep from killing or severely injuring the spirit. But the man had experienced the deaths of the three chuunin, feeling that it was because of his weakness that he was unable to protect and save them in their times of need. A gaze that emanated killing intent filled the man's eyes and if Li was to look up he would see a side of the scholar that he had never seen or felt, maneuvering himself directly above the violent sand storm that the spirit was slowly eating away with its Sankaton technique the man extended his hand forward at a forty five degree angle downward as a thin film of bright blue chakra enveloped the hand.

A large area of space, twenty meters in size, suddenly warped as touching the palm and staring down from above the create and his friend was a large stone slab with a complex force fuuin written across the entirety of the stone. Brought forth from his personal realm, the man was using one of his Large Explosion Stones to not only attack rapidly but with tremendous force against the already somewhat injured spirit who had been fighting against the grinding sand vortex. Zao was careful not to catch his comrade in the coming blast radius as he formed a single hand seal with his free hand and in less than a second after the stone was summoned forth an explosion was released that encompassed a 128 meter cubed area that continued the beast as even the ground was leveled. A nearly hundred meter crater in width and depth would be formed from the attack as there was no remorse on the man's face for the spirit that would have been caught within it, caring neither if it was dead or severely injured, only that his free was okay. "Li, are you alright my friend?" A voice called out from above what remained of the man's sand storm after the blast would have dissipated the portion which contained the spirit, as Zao checked on his friend, unconcerned about the spirit at the moment.

Because the monstrously gargantuan spirit beast had continuously remained within the swirling, and swiveling, sand vortex, it’s flesh had begun to be ripped apart. This caused the seemingly unending maelstrom of sand to be dyed red with the rapidly roaring rampaging representative of hell's blood. This also meant that Xiao Li was also quickly covered in the monster's steaming blood. However, Xiao Li quickly found out that the blood was not simply steaming; it was corroding everything that in came into contact with. After a quick few hand seals Li had released Spike from the sealing scroll, and had connected his chakra strings to him.

With but a few clicks of his fingers, Xiao Li had dived inside of Spike, and had erected his chakra barrier mechanism. However, doing all of this had forced Xiao Li to stop channeling his chakra into his dagger, which in turn caused the sandstorm to dissipate. Realizing that it could now find it's target, the bull ape spirit slapped Spike on it's side with all of it's strength. Due to the massive strength difference between the monstrous spirit and Xiao Li's puppet, Spike was instantly blown apart, and Xiao Li was sent flying through the air. As he flew through the air, Li noticed that Zao had taken action. The only thought that entered into Xiao Li's mind when he saw the look on his friend's face was; prepare to seal the spirit.

By the time the explosion had detonated, Xiao Li had already landed in the branches of a tree, and was racing back to the area where he had been fighting with the spirit previously. While he made his way back though, Xiao Li went out of his way to find his *Ochiiru • [Temporary Housing] pod that he kept inside of Spike's tail, having kept track of it while flying through the air. Xiao Li was in very rough shape, and would definitely need to bandage his wounds soon, but he had disregarded his injuries for what he believed was the most important moment of his life up until that point; sealing the spirit, and finding a way through the wall.

Xiao Li could tell, even before his eyes had laid on to the spirit, that it was very nearly dead. Running as fast as he could, Li threw the pod on the ground near the spirit, and began forming a long string of hand seals before slamming on palm on the pod, and the other on to the spirit's leg. Li filled the fuuinjutsu on the pod with his chakra, and watched as the spirit shrank while being sucked into the sealing pod. Only after the spirit had been fully sealed did Xiao Li relax, and finally responded to his friend. “No, but that was one hell of a fight.” Shortly after speaking Xiao Li collapsed to the ground out of exhaustion. “I'm going to be a while. I have to rest up, and then I need to go find all of the pieces of my puppets.”

Zao watched as just before he set off the massive force fuuin his friend had summoned his favorite puppet armor to help himself defend against the creature that was steadily breaking through the typhoon of wind and sand, yet it was truly to weak in design to withstand even a single blow from the mutated looking spirit who with a single swing was able to knock the puppet into pieces and send Li flying. Luckily the strikes strength had been mostly dissipated between being weakened from the sand storm and having some of the strength transferred to the now in pieces puppet, though Zao worried about what injures his friend might have sustained from the attack him being further out of the picture allowed for him to adjust the angle of the blast one last time before it finally erupted. This caused for the spirit to be more so centered in the explosion that ensued then closer to the edge as the white haired shinobi didn't have to worry about accidently catching his friend due to the sheer size of the explosion radius.

As the smoke and dust filled the air after the sound of the explosion slowly began to fade a pair of brilliant blue eyes swept off to his right side following the direction in which Li had been hit towards from the spirit's strike now to find that the jounin had been able to manage the left over strength of the blow and managed to land safely on a limb. A silent nod of approval went out from Zao to Li in that moment, the young jounin was beginning to grow and it even caused a slight smile to form on the man's thin lips as he could tell with the actions that followed from the fellow Suna-nin that he was disregarding everything in order to attempt to seal the spirit. The young man was sprinting back towards the now large crater that could be found where the corrupted spirit once was and at the same time the two pairs of beautiful angelic chakra wings flapped and with high speed the man also descended into the smoky hole to find the spirit barely clinging to life. There was only one thing that could be done to save the beast's life and that was to seal it away as if left in such a state only death awaited it.

Li didn't even need the man's help to seal the beast, a skill that he didn't know the puppeteer had mastered yet knowing that the jounin's Tenku skills had been a bit lacking the last time they had trained together before his departure to do more adventuring. For the moment Zao's almost glowing blue eyes shifted onto the shinobi and watched him perfectly perform the long string of hand seals that accompanied the technique before then using a sealing pot to slowly seal away the spirit as it was wrapped in Tenku chakra and slowly began to be pulled into the container, to weak to even attempt to fight back as a look of disappointment could be found on its face just before it was completely sealed away and the lid placed back on the temporary housing container now. Another silent nod of approval went out to his friend, it would seem that he wasn't the only one who had grown stronger. The wings disappeared as the adventurer allowed himself to softly fall a few meters to the charred earth beneath the two shinobis feet, the Suna headband visible to the fellow jounin now as it hang loosely around the scholar's neck signifying that he had returned to a full duty status for the village.

"Take your time to rest and recover your puppet, my friend Toge will keep you safe while you do so." With a wiggle of the left arm a golden thorn vine emerged and pilled onto the ground, it looked rather then but the aura it gave off was enough for anyone to realize that it wasn't a weak pet, the pointed end of the vine looked at Zao and nodded despite not having any sign of facial features such as a mouth, nose, or eyes. Turning its attention to Li, the creature seemed almost playful as it slithered around him in a circle like a snake, appearing to be rather happy to be out and about like a small child in some respects. Zao only shook his head at the actions of his spirit plant and then turned his attention to an area of the crater a bit further away from them as one could see a partially uncovered fuuin diagram that had been exposed due to the tremendous explosion. "I'm going to look around for more clues, let me know when you've managed to recover enough to continue." A friendly smile could be found on the jounin's face as he looked over to his companion, Suna truly was growing stronger everyday.

Xiao Li nodded to his friend as he fell backwards onto the ground, allowing his body to completely relax. He had used a large chunk of his chakra, and his body was pretty heavily damaged, but Li knew that his best bet was to rest up as much as he could, and seal the spirit into a weapon as soon as possible. That way the spirit would still be in it’s weakened state, and would be easier to work with once he began to creation process for the Tsukimogami. After Xiao Li had relaxed for a few hours, he had covered his wounds in a light coating of dirt and ash to ward off the wind, mainly because he had gotten tired of the wind making his wounds sting, and began searching for all of the parts to his puppets, and everything he had kept within his puppet Spike. Because of the hit from the spirit, and the explosion caused by Zao, the parts to Xiao Li’s puppets had been blown far and wide, but because of the fire, and explosion, having cleared away the forest, everything was fairly easy to find.

While Xiao Li was collecting all of the broken, and disassembled parts to his utterly trashed puppets, he saw a massive shadow circling him on the ground. This, at first, caused Zao's spirit plant Toge to raise it's guard, as it was still watching over Xiao Li. However, the shadow rapidly shrank as a tiny, but adorable, winged lizard dropped out of the air, and on to Xiao Li's shoulder. This told Xiao Li that his pet “dragon” Baruch didn't see any danger, and felt safe enough to return to Xiao Li's side. Baruch had previously been flying high in the air so that he could alert Xiao Li of any potential dangers by doing multiple loops in the sky. However, once the massive spirit appeared, Baruch had been scared to the point of flying away to a safe place.

Xiao Li stroked his pet's head as he continued to retrieve the pieces of his puppets. Once he had everything collected, Xiao Li returned his puppets to his sealing scroll. He was, however, pleasantly surprised; Tyrant was in almost perfect working condition, and was still usable. With everything taken care of, Xiao Li met back up with his friend Zap. ”Sorry it took so long, but I am ready now.”

[Plotboard]Patrolling The Outskirts Of Juu no Kuni

Post by Zao » Sat Nov 10, 2018 7:42 am

As Toge and Li rested and then went about reacquiring the pieces of the large puppet-like armor he'd been in when the young man was struck by the now captured spirit, Zao didn't both to sit down and rest and instead went straight into investigating the strange fuuin formation that had been uncovered tens of meters under the burnt down forest area. This formation that was uncovered the massive explosion wasn't even the complete formation, which Zao would come to understand after allowing for himself to study and mediate on the matter for about ten minutes, instead this was only on portion of the diagram and this single part was over fifteen meters in size. Due the man's recent leaps and bounds that he had made in the art of fuuinjutsu, he was able to determine at least this much from simply observing the skill and complexity that could be seen from the fuuin formula before him that said it was linked to others. 'I see, this is more complicated then I imagined it would be. Here I thought that I had truly gained some skill in this area but perhaps I still have a ways to go before I can consider myself decent in this art.'

The long, white haired young man shook his head back and forth lightly before he began to form two short series of hand seal, then after each hand circulated with Tenku based chakra the man pushed his hands out to either side now and this action was followed by the creation of two large poofs of chakra smoke that would without a doubt draw the attention even from the distant Li. But due to the depth of the crater he was working within the fellow jounin wouldn't be able to see what had happened without coming over to take a look. On either side of the man now were two massive spirit creatures, the first was a twenty five meter tall red faced gorilla that had a massive spear like weapon in its hand and on the other side of him was a twenty five meter long green snake with a jagged cobra like hood and a mouth full of curved teeth. A hint of purple liquid seeped from the corner of the snakes mouth as it shifted its bright green eyes from side to side, the gorilla doing the same as it placed the end of its weapon lightly down onto the scorched earth now. "Sorry to both you my friend, but this large diagram appeared to be one of at least three or four connected fuuin that form a type of formation."

Zao began to speak and his spirits remained quiet for the time being, shifting their gazes onto the fifteen meter fuuin that Zao had uncovered, having followed the direction the young man's slender fingers were pointed towards at the moment. "Sssso, you need help uncovered the resssst?" The princess snake as the first the respond as she spoke straight forward and to the point about the matter at hand. "Indeed, it would seem that is the mission for us, how lowly a mission for us to dig hole..." The old, red faced ape with the spear like weapon and crimson red armor chimed in, a bit displeased that the two powerful spirts had been summoned to dig holes for their master...it was almost a bit humiliating in the eyes of the two spirits, yet it wasn't like the young man was demanding it of them and had already apologized for summoning them for this reason. Each shook there head as the thin framed man couldn't help but shake his head, "Don't worry, if this fuuin formation does what I think it might, then you won't have to worry about digging dirt but instead you'll have to deal with spirits at least as strong as yourselves. How do you think this hole got here in the first place?" He began to speak again, ensuring them that there were still battles to be found ahead and both of them had noticed when the explosive stone had been summoned from the personal realm, using such a powerful weapon meant that their master had truly encountered a powerful enemy.

Still, both creatures let out a light sigh before moving to start working on expanding the hole that they were currently standing within now, the giant ape combined using his large size and power with his hands and weapon to move the dirt up and out of the hole to the south side (moving parallel with the wall) and the serpent summoned forth a massive sword from within her mouth and began to do the same. Slowly the large hole began to increase in size as it grew longer in relation to the wall but not any wider as Zao had the thought that the fuuin diagram ran along the wall most likely and shouldn't exist to far from one another or from the wall that they seemed to be connected to. In a relatively short period of time the two spirits had dug over fifty meters in either direction and had simultaneously stumbled upon two identical fuuin formations as all three began to glow slightly and a line of chakra linked the two outside fuuin to the middle one. "Very interesting, great work you two." Zao couldn't help but become a bit excited when his theory appeared to be right, though he still had now idea just what these fuuin were linked to in regards to the wall or if they would even be of any help in finding an access point to the wall itself. For the time being he needed to study the entire formation and the two spirits were allowed to return back to his personal realm to rest.

As the man studied them be slowly came to the realization that they were a type of key, normally the user would have a type of fuuin key that interacted with the wall itself in order to open one of the many hidden door and gate ways that were located along the seemingly impenetrable wall. Though the two men didn't have the key it was possible that they could use themselves to simultaneously activate the three locking fuuin to hopefully create an access point in order to gain entry. Zao took up a position on the middle diagram and sat down to rest and think the matter over, continuing to study the intricate nature of the formula as he awaited the return of his spirit pet and Li. "You look like you've regained some of your chakra, that's good cause we're going to need it." He spoke with a smile to his friend upon the young man's return now, having formulated a plan that should work...maybe. "I uncovered these three formation fuuin, it looks like in theory if we activate them all at the same time then we might be able to cause a reaction on the wall directly in front of us." Forming a familiar single hand seal, a second Zao appeared just to his left now, a shadow clone that then headed over to the left fuuin formation leaving only the one of the right left. "I hate to task your still recovering chakra, but if you can take up a position on that fuuin diagram to our right, I want to try to activate this formation."

As long as his young friend was willing to help, which he felt that Li would be even more excited them himself with how obsessed the young jounin as about this strange and mysterious country that could be found on the other side of the 'endless' wall that covered nearly the entire country's border. After the man would move to the new formation he would understand what to do without even being told, stepping on the formation he could feel a light pull of chakra from his body, each of the shinobi would need to inject chakra into there specific formation diagram. The formation itself was like an emergence entrance that had been built into the wall's defense system if there ever arose a time that they needed to enter the wall without the special key, a back up really. Both Zao's knelt down on their respect formation diagrams now and placed the slender fingers of one hand onto the formula written out below their feet and began to glow with a faint outline of chakra. When Li did the same the lines of chakra between the three stones would grow brighter and more defined before the center stone would do the same as a diagram that had originally been hidden from normal eyesight appeared and a line of chakra shot forward to the wall were another invisible diagram appeared and in the center of the diagram a small doorway appeared.

It almost looked like a portal created through a form of space time to the experienced traveler who's bright blue eyes became fixed on the diagram that could be seen on the wall before the three of them now, Toge also returned to his master's left arm at this point as Zao looked over to Li. "Lets try to enter at the same time, my friend." With a confident but serious look upon his face the man nodded to his friend tell him to move first, with his own speed he should be able to easily keep up with Li and time it just right to enter simultaneously...

*[Ninjutsu • Advanced Shadow Clone Technique]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user proceeds to create a number of clones of themselves (maximum is equal to 1/3rd the user's stamina). Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies of the user in both appearance and substance. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. Given that the clones are an exact replica of the user, they share the same stats except for stamina, which is determined by the number of clones presently in effect. The advantage of this form of the technique is that once dispersed, the chakra distributed to the clones returns to the user, allowing any un-used chakra to be regained, slowing the draining usage of this technique. The chakra returns to the user at a different rate depending on the user's control.

Xiao Li nodded, accepting Zao's command, and took his place on the fuuin that Zao had indicated to him. After receiving the queue from Zao, Xiao Li began channeling his chakra into the seal. As the three seals began shine brighter and brighter with chakra, a strange glowing door appeared on the wall. After listening to Zao's words, Xiao Li took Baruch into his hands, and ran towards the wall as fast as he could. Even though he was not in his best shape, Xiao Li ran as though he was. As far as Li could tell this would be his only chance to pass into the wall of Juu no kuni. His feet fell sure footed on the ground as every step brought him closer to the wall. He wasn't sure when, but some time during his running he had begun to pray to Sunagakure's patron goddess, because he really did not want to run full tilt into a solid wall. Xiao Li trusted his friend Zao fully, but he still had his doubts.

As soon as he reached the glowing door, Li rushed into it. He immediately regretted it. He was filled with a sensation akin to motion sickness, and very nearly vomited the full contents of his stomach, however, the feeling ended as quickly as it started. Things had changed so fast that Xiao Li’s vision had momentarily gone black, and when it cleared, he still couldn't see anything. He was in complete darkness. After forming a small set of hand seals, Xiao Li guided the chakra within Baruch, and seconds later Baruch spat a fire ball into the air. The light from the fire revealed a massive stone chamber, and Xiao Li almost jumped for joy. ”Zao! I think we did it!”

Like his friend, only a half step behind the fellow jounin, Zao had moved leaving his clone behind to channel chakra into the fuuin array in hopes that it wouldn't stop working the moment the two of them made an attempt to reach the small portal like opening in the seemingly impenetrable wall of chakra resistant stone. Perhaps through sheer luck Li and Zao slipped through the hole a mere moment before it disappeared and the clone outside dispersed itself allowing for some of its remaining chakra to be returned to its original. The two men were ported inside of the wall but what they found was a massive room at least a hundred meters wide and tall with them with a wall at there back, but what was the most obvious thing about the room was that there did not appear to be any doors or passageways. At first glance it appeared to simply be a solid walled room and now the two Suna nin were confined within its walls which were just as strong as the exterior wall that they had just managed to slip through thanks to the portal array.

Zao was spared the motion sickness that hit his friend due to the his numerous space-time traveling, but he could definitely remember the feeling from that first time when he'd first traveled to his personal realm. His bright blue eyes shifted around the room before ending upon the younger jounin on his right side now, "Yes, we did. But just barely. It would seem that it closed only a moment after we entered..." The long white haired man wondered if the portal closed because it was only able to be open for a short period of time or if it had a limit of how many people could enter it, both seemed like a type of safe guard the mysterious people of Juu would have used. "But it seems that we aren't in a much better situation, I don't see any exits to this room." Straightening out his clothing the man walked forward a few steps in front of the man as the massive chamber was still lit by the fireball of the creature. Taking the few steps triggered a mechanism that activated a few simple fuuin seals that allowed for spots of the room to be illuminated as though pot light were shining down from the ceiling.

The new light allowed for the duo to see all the exterior walls, strange symbols and diagrams could be found covering a large portion of the walls but the new light only confirmed the white haired man's words of seeing no exits from this large stone chamber. Letting out a light sight he turned around halfway to Li and was just about to speak an almost demonic, deep toned voice spoke but one wouldn't be able to pinpoint it's owner from sound alone as it appeared to be coming from every shadow in the room. "You've activated the emergency entrance array. State what family you are from!" A rather agitated tone also came with the words as they echoed within the chamber causing one to feel as though instead of one voice the pair was surrounded by many unknown assailants. "Li, it's another spirit guardian..." If Li hadn't already noticed, Zao spoke to him as his eyes were laced with a hint of maroon chakra as it mixed with the scholarly looking man's natural bright blue irises.

Using one of his Tenku techniques that allowed for him to see the chakra of a spirit Zao was able to immediately tell that this was the work of some kind of spirit, but what was unsettling about this vision before him was that everywhere a shadow was present he was able to see that the spirit's chakra had been infused into them. Just what kind of spirit where they dealing with and what was it speaking out? What family did they belong to? The question caused for the long haired man to glance over to his friend and shrug his shoulders, "What do you think?"

From within a distant part of the room, hidden within one of the many large shadows that covered the majority of the stone floor a set of wolf like ears slowly emerged from the shadowly floor. Soon the head of a beast created that appeared to be made of a dark, ink like substance could be seen as it stared across the room at the two unwelcomed guest. It had been a long time, over a century since anyone had entered the wall but he was ordered to not allow just anyone entry. If they were not of one of the eight royal family's or had a name plate from one of the eight then they would be dealt with...

“Can I roll to bluff the spirit…?” Xiao Li’s response was slightly tongue and cheek, but he hoped that his friend would understand the boardgame analogy. However, his shoulders slumped, and Li released a loud sigh, before moving forward. “I’ll take point, and see what sort spirit we are dealing with here.” Xiao Li’s voice was hard, and cold, completely different than it normally was, or even had been while facing the previous spirit. After he took out his four kunai for his barrier, Xiao Li continued to walk forward at a steady pace. “We are not from any family of Juu no Kuni, and this country has long since been abandoned. Will you grant us passage oh great protector?” His cold voice held a very slight amount of sarcasm as his steady gait turned into a light jog before becoming a full tilt run. Xiao Li had decided that he would “bum rush” the spirit, and hoped to contain it before it could cause any harm to them. As Xiao Li threw his four kunai into different areas around the spirit, Baruch flew into the air, circling high above everything.

As the kunai flew through the sky, Li formed the hand seals for his Four Pillars barrier, and as soon as the kunai stuck into the stone around the spirit, the barrier erupted. However, using such a large amount of chakra in one go so soon after his previous fight caused Xiao Li to momentarily black out. While he did not fall unconscious, he did fall to the ground, and hit his head on the stone pavement. When he regained his composure, and his footing, he was not sure whether or not the spirit had been captured by his barrier that rose to the ceiling.

"What the fuck is this kid blabbering on about?" The spirit tilted its head literally to the side, its elemental style body able to bend further than a normal neck should have been able to do. It spoke loudly this time, a pair of solid white eyes contrasting with its inky black body locked onto the shinobi who made the first move at this point but it didn't move to attack nor evade the ninja's coming actions and instead simply set idly by as if wishing to know just what the young man was going to do against an old beast like himself. "A spirit barrier, not to shabby kid...though you look so tired, what weak chakra reserves you must have...." The shadow spirit first praised than in the same breath mocked Li for his actions and seemed to be looking around at the barrier that appeared to contain him at the moment as though admiring the tenku construct. "Was that it?" With that the creature merged back into the shadow he had been within and moments later appeared outside of the barrier emerging from another shadow like they had been connected in some manner.

This action alone caused for the long, whited haired scholar to become rather interested in the spirit beast now as it had been able to move between the shadows in the room, which made things make a bit more sense as to why all the shadows could be seen to contain the chakra of the spirit making it near impossible to determine where he might come out of next. 'It must be some sort of special ability or technique that the creature using to move between the shadows, though Li's barrier was infective we did manage to learn something about the beast now.' Pushing off with his legs in a linear movement to his friend, the man's seemed like nothing more than a blur in that moment as he arrived at the nearest edge of the barrier while a golden vine slide out from within the left sleeve and slashed at the barrier creating a small hole for him and the two spirits to slip through. A moment later the elegant man arrived at the side of his friend placing a hand upon his shoulder after passing effortlessly through the barrier, the small hole created by Toge allowed for his two spirit pets able to pass through as the barrier as Hana would have had trouble passing through it if not for the action.

"Good job Li. Though we didn't catch him we still learned that the spirit is a slippery one." A few words of condolence to his friend were spoken as Zao's mind's eye had already expanded out to help cover the area around him, the man's bright blue irises looking on through the dimly lit stone cavern at the newly emerged shadow beast where it had ended up after somehow escaping the barrier. 'Hana, you're up. Test his speed out.' Zao spoke mentally to the little desert rose that had been curled up around his right forearm now, whom then allowed for her elegant feminine voice to be heard within his own thoughts as she spoke back. 'He's mine!' Excitement filled her voice as this would be the first real time that she'd been able to test our her abilities in combat as before everything had been just training with her master giving her pointers. Her tiny claw like hands shifted through a series of hand seals now before Zao then lifted his hand and the tiny spirit pet exhaled a massive wave of sand that appeared to simply flow out of the scholar's sleeve towards the creature.

The wave created quickly expanded to twenty meters in width and nearly fifteen meters high was it swept out past the edges of the barrier and attempted to completely envelop the shadowy beast who had been simply smiling that the duo of shinobi with a rather twisted looking grin. Though that grin quickly washed away as the sand spewed from Zao's sleeve towards him forcing him to quickly dodge to the side, nearly being buried alive from the wave of sand. This time around it had been a probing attack from the scholar, initiated by the sand spirit pet, in order to determine how fast the beast was. Judging from the movement of the spirit it was probably only about as fast as the technique which had just been used against it. In the Tenku user's eyes if the spirit was only this fast then all he had to do was corner it and capturing the beast shouldn't prove to be to difficult of a feat. But the spirit had felt the pressure place on him between fighting the two shinobi and the skills that they had expressed thus far and decided that it need to get a bit serious with them now, after all how long had it been since he'd had visitors? Probably at least a century or so...

"Not bad, my turn kids." Black chakra outlined its body for a few moments, the color of the chakra making it difficult to tell based on sight alone that the creature was actually channeling chakra in that moment after dodging the sand wave meant for him, within the barrier to the right of Li and Zao, close to the edge of the barrier a shapeless shadow appeared to rise from a shadowy spot on the ground. Quickly it pushed off the ground toward the two men, Li being the closest as its formless hands turned into two black spikes which looked like spears as it moved to attack the puppeteer. Zao reacted by pulling out on of his short swords in preparation to defend against the approaching clone but what would Li do...?

Despite his obvious weariness Xiao Li performed a backflip as the spirit approached him, and formed hand seals the entire time while flipping. His body was exhausted, and he would not be able to fight for much longer, but he hoped that he would at least be able to lock down one of the spirits while Zao finished them off. Xiao Li's body glowed with a mystical maroon light before maroon chains rocketed out of Xiao Li's right palm. Due to the spirit's frontal attack, it was unable to dodge the chains and had its arms forced to its sides. Li stumbled on the ground as he walked backward away from the spirit while keeping it locked down. He had, again, come quite close to passing out. He was pushing the absolute limit of his body, and if this fight dragged on he could very well die from over exertion.

After performing a set of hand seals, the user focuses chakra towards their hand. A chain made of Maroon chakra will shoot from their palm towards the target at 25 speed, up to 30 meters away. If it hits a spirit, a jinchuuriki, tsukimogami, or other such being, the chain will wrap around them, placing their arms, if they have any, to their side, stopping them from performing hand seals. These chains cling to the chakra of the Spirit itself, and are unable to be broken through physical means. If the target has a related Mastery stat or a Spirit has a strength stat higher than 25, they are able to break the binding. If the chains are able to stay on their target for a full 5 posts, they will drain away, this will cause a drop in available forms by 3 for up to 5 posts.
Sorry, this was all I could think of.

Hana, let’s go.” The man spoke in what seemed to be a manner of speaking to him but the words were heard by the desert rose spirit pet that had been hibernating within the right sleeve of the young jounin, wrapped comfortably around the man’s forearm at this point. She’d been paying attention to the situation and allowing for her vision to adjust to the dimly lit stone cavern as her moved with the straight blade sword within the grasp of the left hand. Luckily his younger comrade had been able to briefly tie down the shadow beast that had been created from the Spirit as it was created with spirit chakra which made it susceptible to Tenku attacks. When combined with its straight forward manner of attacking it had been ensnared in the chains which it struggled against now to attempt and free itself in order to continue attacking the weaker looking of the two human.

Zao had pushed forward off the ground, accelerating to his full speed in the shortest amount of time that he could muster as the black color blade slashed through the shadow clone slicing it cleanly into two pieces which caused for the shadowy mass to disperse and sink back down into the nearby shadow. But this attack was not over as the man had pushed his right palm out wards the direction of the creature and from within the sleeve the tiny creature had already molded chakra and performed the appropriate hand seals. Not having time to help his comrade through direct aid he instead opted to attack the shadowy beast but beside where the young man stumbled on the ground a kunai with a unique fuuin inscribed upon it could be seen, having been dropped by the white haired man as he advanced to attack the entrapped clone.

From within the right sleeve a wave of chakra burst forward as it was secretly expelled from the spirit plant though it caused for the sleeve near the wrist to be ripped off in the process as sixty meter wide and forty meter wave of sand soon formed after being expelled from Hana’s tiny mouth. It wasn’t to slow but what it had in abundance was deceptive strength which the shadow spirit would find out if it didn’t manage to defend against the closing wave of sand that was faster and larger than the previous one. The main goal at the moment for Zao was to cover a large area with sand and allow for his rose spirit pet to use the terrain advantage for herself in order to capture and make the spirit answer some questions for them.

But the shadow beast didn’t plant to take this one lying down as it used a powerful defensive technique that caused for numerous nearby shadows to begin to rapidly gather before the backpedaling spirit in a form of three defensive structures that were like dark walls. The towering wall of sand that was like a moving wave of water came crashing down now and it would appear that the spirit had underestimated the strength of the sand based Ninjutsu. It easily smashed down upon the trio of shadow walls crushing them under its strength and weight now before coming down upon the spirit beast in the next moment burying it beneath the tidal wave of sand. “Got him!” The little spirit plant’s young, female voice that was similar to a child’s could be heard as it stuck its rose bloom head out from beneath the torn sleeve’s edge to speak her mind. Though the little spirit seemed to have been celebrating a bit too early as small strands of shadow began to slip through the loose soil and slowly started to reform into the almost shapeless mass of shadows now as two solid white eyes became visible once more.

That could have killed me you little idiot!” It was then that the spirit beast yelled at the tiny spirit pet, shaking its right fist towards the desert rose as it yelled across the room to Hana. If the spirit could sweat right now it’s body could have been covered in a cold sweat at just how close it had come to dying under the barrage of all that sand. If not for a special technique that it had just used, something it could only use once before it had to recharge for a long time, then he truly would be dead. “Let’s talk this one out…”As it spoke the white haired man lowered his right arm back down to is normal position at his side now and turned his gaze off to the side towards his weak friend Li, checking on his current state before bothering to deal with the spirit who seemed ready to talk things over after seeing the two men's strength...

Xiao Li wrapped his arms around his knees, fighting the bile that rose in his throat. When had he become such a liability? Since when did he need to be saved all of the time? Zao had single handedly saved the day twice now, and all Xiao Li could do was stand by and watch. ”Fuck!!! We are finally in the wall, and I can't carry my weight! Unable to hold it back any longer, Xiao Li emptied the contents of his stomach on to the ground. ”Reporting to lead; I am unable to continue. My reserves are dry.” Li pounded his fists on the ground as he stood up, his legs nearly giving out. He kept his voice low as he spoke to Zao, and even prepared himself to run himself into the grave if it was needed to watch his friend's back.

Baruch landed on Xiao Li's shoulder, and nuzzled his head against Li's. As he stood there his body began to convulse wildly. Xiao Li had really pushed his body harder than he should have. However, as his body shook, Xiao Li began to feel revitalized. His body had naturally put a restraint on the amount of chakra he could use because he had always used very little. Forcing his body to the brink allowed him to remove the unconscious block that he put on himself. As the chakra flooded his body, Xiao Li's body stopped shaking and his color returned. ”Reporting to lead; it would appear that since I only ever use my puppets I unknowingly limited the amount of chakra I could use at any given moment. However, I do not think that I will have that problem again.”

"Li's always underestimating what he is truly capable of..." The words were spoken to himself as the man's bright blue eyes that had held such a sharp and almost piercing gaze shifted back upon hearing the words of his friend along with the sounds of him vomiting up a bit, shaking his head slightly the harsh gaze softened. "Li, we're here to do this together, rest a bit and let yourself recover. Allow for me to talk to this spirit..." With a confident smile the man shook his left arm and the powerful plant spirit that was a golden vine spirit wiggled free from the forearm and the sleeve which had been its resting place and with a moment's notice it expanded to a size that dwarfed the shadow spirit. But it was at this moment one could truly see that it was more than a shadow spirit as its shadowy raven hue body was soaking into the sand that covered it, it had actually been an ink like elemental spirit. 'How interesting..

Zao couldn’t help but muse at seeing the ink spirit, something he truly couldn’t remember seeing before as he allowed for Toge with a simple mental command to encircle the spirit’s position where it was stuck within the several meters of sand. From the right wrist the desert rose spirit wiggled its little rose bud head from underneath the torn sleeve now observing the other spirit, she wanted to play a bit more with this guy but her master had only asked for her to trap him for now. Closing his eyes briefly, they would reopen with a glint of maroon within the formerly bright blue irises now, allowing for him to see the spirit in a new light as he could tell that there was a foreign form of spirit chakra that was leaking towards the middle of the room that was currently under the sand. It was an interesting clue about the strange spirit but first he spoke directly to the ink spirit now. “Oh course, let’s be civil about this.” The sand soaked spirit felt it difficult to move and worried that the man would make a move to finish him off now that he was put into a difficult spot but he let out a sigh of relief and managed to form his eerie smile on its almost formless looking face.

Exhaling loudly once more the creature spoke up, focusing directly on the long, white haired shinobi who had him currently between a rock and a hard place. “I’m Ata, the assigned guardian for this entrance. Who are you all?” The spirit seemed a bit confused, of course it had been at least a century or two since he had last been able to see another human and these human were not from the country of Juu or they would have had ties to the major families that ruled the country. “We are shinobi from the Suna village.” Zao would respond rather bluntly back to the strange spirit, a little confused what he meant by who they were as both of them proudly wore there country’s forehead protectors to show the word their allegiance to the world. “Odd, never heard of that.” ‘How strange…’ The man’s bright blue eyes widened a bit, this place bordered Wind country which was home to Sunagakure, but this spirit claimed to have never heard of it. Just how long had this spirit been bound here to this place?

Either way, since you activate the emergency entrance you must be trying to get to the other side of the wall. But this is only the first layer. Outside of this room is the labyrinth, even I don’t know the correct path through it, but I can let you out of this room. But I need a favor…” The rather creepy looking inky creature shifted its form slightly appearing a bit more humanoid as it started to speak to the shinobi before him as the golden vine remained a buffer between the spirit and its master, just in case. It spoke out of experience and understanding of the situation which told that this was most likely a very old spirit with quite a bit of intelligence and a desire to continue living. Though one couldn’t be sure if it was actually telling them the truth, but at the moment the pair had nothing else to go on and Zao would reluctantly reply with the expected response…”What is it that you need?” A twisted smile appeared on the spirit’s inky face as the solid white eyes shifted a little back and forth between the two men now. “I’m tired of being bound here but I’m not strong enough to break the barrier that covered the sealing formation. This is a title plate of the family of Ji family. With it you can access the labyrinth past this room and the exit that leads to the other side of the wall...if you can make it past the maze of death and all its trials and guardians.”

I see, so that seal in the center of the room is keeping you from returning to your spirit world. Hand over the title plate and I’ll see what I can do…” Though the story was an interesting one, he was able to see the Ji written on the title plate that appeared from within the body of the ink spirit now, it seemed to contain some sort of energy that he could detect with his sensory abilities that felt like chakra but different. “What you expect for me to just give this to you, some stranger?” The creature instinctively shook its formless body back and forth and gripped the title plate tightly in its liquid arms as though it was some precious treasure. “Well, either I force you to give it to me or possibly end your life here. Or...you take a chance and let me have the item first.” This was a bit more of Zao’s ruthless side that had developed from his experiences in the spirit realms that Nori and him were trapped within for nearly five years, losing three of their comrades in the process. After some silent deliberation the spirit felt it was given no other choice, this man really did have the power to finish him off and he hadn’t told them how to use it either so he could use that as a bargaining chip if it came down to it. “Fine!

With a reluctant voice the creature tossed over the title plate, but it wasn’t to Zao and was instead tossed towards Li now as he would find that the title plate which was no bigger than their own headbands was at least fifty pounds in weight. ‘Hmm…’ The white haired shinobi gave a mental command to Toge who turned around and disappeared within the sand as several powerful thuds were heard before the shattering sound of stone and a small explosion occurred. From beneath the sand now appeared a large stone platform with a unique inscription written upon it and a large fuuin diagram, but what surprised Zao the most was the fact that he was able to recognize some of the elements. They were the same style as the scroll given to him from the mysterious space time traveler...did this mean that he was a man from Juu! As exciting as this was the scholar directed his full attention onto the diagram as Toge took up a guarding position…”Li, do you know what this is?

Xiao Li watched everything unfold and listened to Zao speak with the spirit with an ugly look on his face. While he respected spirits, and the power they held, this one just seemed to annoy him on a microscopic level, and he was not sure why. However, Xiao Li did not speak up until Zao spoke to him. "It would appear to be a sealing fuuinjutsu if I had to take a guess. I'm not exactly sure though. It's old. Very old, and doesn't resemble any of the Fuuinjutsu that I have studied. It seems to be able to bind spirits, but it also resists spirit attacks. So...maybe it's a form of Tenkujutsu?" Xiao Li spoke frankly, expressing his thoughts as they occurred to him. The seal puzzled him, and while he usually liked a puzzle, the one in front of him gave off no clues on how to break it. Xiao Li poured all of his training into figuring out the strange seal in front of him, but let out an exasperated scream as he finally gave up. "You know what? Fuck it! I give up! Fuck this fucking fuck!!!!!!" The devolution of his vocabulary showed just how utterly pissed Xiao Li was.

With a quick Kai Xiao Li brought out all of the pieces of Spike from his scroll and began to work on his puppet. He did not talk, nor did he pay any mind to what was going on around him. He put all of his efforts into fixing his puppet. "Fucking god damn fucking spirit fucking up my fucking puppet....I'll show you you son of a bitch." While Xiao Li did not speak, he continued his tirade of foul words in his mind the entire time that he worked on his puppet. Although he did not have all of the supplies that he needed to bring Spike back to one hundred percent working order, he had been able to bring it back to at least ninety perfect completion. "Stand back Zao, otherwise, you will probably get hit by accident." Xiao Li formed a quick string of hand seals and his chakra strings connected to Spike. A large amount of chakra then surged through his chakra strings, and into the Tsukimogami seal on Spike's head. Shortly after the seal was charged, a large cone of Dejiton chakra blasted out of Spike's mouth and hit the fuuin that Zao had previously shown to Xiao Li.

Hmm, I can agree with your guesses as those are the same assumptions that I was making as well. What interests me the most about this diagram is that it bares some resemblances to an ancient scroll that I acquired from a mysterious space-time traveler. I feel that this mysterious man must have some sort of history with the mysterious country of Juu. But that’s just a theory I’ve put together so far.” The white haired scholar shrugged his shoulder, allowing his hands to rise gently from each side, the conclusions that Li had come to were the same ones that he’d come to after analysing the seal. Including this with the fact that Toge wasn’t able to break the stone that the seal was placed on only further led him to believe that it was engineered to ensure that a spirit would be unable to break it and in turn free themselves from the binding upon it. But a question that entered the man’s mind was due to it being strengthened to the point of being neigh unbreakable by a spirit was it just as strong against normal physical and ninjutsu attacks?

Like his friend the young man slowly circled and made mental notes of the fuuin formula that was before them covering an area of about five meters by five meters in size with several intricate and foreign markings within the formula. Suddenly the man was awaken from his deep gaze as his younger friend began to scream and cust at the diagram after seemingly come to the point that he’d given up trying to figure out how the hell to break the seal. It was honestly a little bit funny to watch due to how young Li looked and his height was like that of a genin being only around five foot and four inches tall. It was just like watching a young child have a sudden temper tantrum over not getting their way but it was truly obvious that the young man was just pissed off considering all the things that had happened up to this point of their trip. ‘My, my...I’ll just let him calm down for a bit.’ Zao only shook his head slightly from side-to-side before allowing his bright gaze to drift back down onto the sealing formation as he had been able to grasp about twenty five percent of hte markings. Though his eyes were once more drawn away from the large slab as he saw Li had no brought out all the pieces of one of his puppets that looked more like a pile of random parts and pieces than the large puppet that it had been.

This caused for the scholar to finally let out a laugh as the strange, inky spirit had a rather confused look on its face as it wondered if all human were like this strange little man and returned to thinking about if these two kids could really find a way to free him. He was also wondering if it was truly in his best interest to trust these guys, after all they could just bind him to something else or seal him away as soon as the sealing formation was broken. Until he was sure he would keep the method for operating the title plate to himself just incase, if they betrayed him then he would let them stay trapped here where he had been for a few centuries. “At least he’s being productive now.” Zao only nodded toward Li’s actions of trying to fix the puppet, not truly knowing what the young jounin had in mind or the reason that he’d chosen to fix Spike first. Some time had passed and the scholar had been able to decipher around forty percent of the diagram but had hit a choke point and didn’t seem to be making any progress. Having been lost in thought and mental calculations the man didn’t realize that Li had enough time to reassemble the formerly broken puppet and even make some repairs to the creation before calling out to him to move back. Shifting his gaze the man was a bit shocked to see Spike back in operating condition and lit was forming a set of hand seals, not waiting to ask why the man recalled the young man demonstrating to him what the puppet was capable of back in Fur.

With that in mind the white haired shinobi bounded back and nodded to the man to proceed, having forgot that Spike’s head actually doubled as a spirit weapon as well and a unique one at that. The dejiton chakra blasted out and slammed into the sealing formation as the link between it and the ink spirit broke away and moving rapidly past his friend now Zao had his right hand curled up as though holding a ball, in the grip was a swirling ball of chaotic chakra; a rasengan! Arriving at the stone that was affected by the emp attack from spike it was like a simple stone as the orb of chakra was driven down into it shattering the stone into small pieces before fading from existence. “Nice work, Li!” Slowly standing after destroying the remaining portion of the diagram to ensure that it didn’t become active again the jounin turned to his friend and praised his thinking. The puppet and its spirit weapon had come in very handy this time and with that he turned to the shadowy spirit and spoke, “You are free.” The spirit was a bit shocked that it didn’t say anything at first, “That’s it, you aren’t going to try to eal me away or anything?” But after a moment it started to speak with a slightly confused tone in its voice as it had shifted a little bit further away from the two men, honestly not even sure what had just happened but he knew that the link connecting him to this place had been finally severed for real.

That was the deal right?” As the Suna-nin spoke he began to casually walk towards the newly freed spirit as his golden vine protector made a opening allowing for him to address the spirit directly, “Now, how do we use this thing?” It would seem that these two humans really did plan to keep their word from earlier, a surprise to the spirit who saw humans as conniving and manipulative creatures far worse than spirits were. Letting out a sigh he decided to trust these Suna shinobi as he formed a set of hand seals as the formerly formless arms manifested into hands and began to prepare chakra. The title plate with Li would begin to glow and then a hidden seal would appear before the seal seemed to deteriorate revealing a new symbol upon it. “It is no longer bound to me, just channel your chakra into the plate to use it. Touch it to the wall behind me to enter the maze. But it might be better to just use it to leave the wall as the maze is a very dangerous place, even for you two.” The spirit spoke truthly to the pair of human and then it made another hand seal before disappear in a poof of chakra smoke now that it was able to return safely back to its original realm. “Li, let us rest and allow for our chakra to recover before continuing. We’ll need to prepare ourselves for that maze and the trails within it that lay ahead….” Zao turned and spoke to his friend, it would be best to recover and fix Li’s other broken puppet as well as it could be before starting the next leg of this potentially dangerous journey.
