It was a miserable day on the outskirts of the Tea country, overcast skies birthed intermittent showers which served to do nothing more than annoy Hide rather than sate the thirst of the land on which he tread. It had been a few weeks now since he had escaped his prison with the help of that strange woman and her even stranger companion. The atmosphere in their hideout was heavy, considerably heavier than the rain Hide was currently suffering through. Hide needed a break and had arranged to meet a friend of his in town for some more training, training in the hideout was fun but Hide didn't like the way that man looked at him, like with ever success he was an even juicier meal to be devoured one day.

The small town was primarily a trading post that had grown over the years to accommodate the needs of the merchants and other weary travelers which meant that new faces were a common site and if Hide's brand of tomfoolery were to catch the ire of someone here chances were they'd be gone in a few days. Hide patted his blade that bounced against his hip as he walked and thought of Fuhen, the young man had considerably more swords that he could possibly knew what to do with and Hide hoped the boy knew how to use them and wasn't just a hopeful scrap metal collector. The goal of today though wasn't swordsmanship however it was ninjutsu, the power he used to escape his prison could be fashioned in countless wonders as Hide had been witness to but today was hopefully just the basics.

Hide reached the clearing carrying his lunch in a small bundle slung over his shoulder and found respite on a long dead tree stump, the young man began to lazily swing his legs as he patiently waited for his training partner for the day. Today was going to be interesting one way or another.
