You know alcohol can make people do some really stupid shit. Like try to act tough by picking a fight with the largest guy at the bar. Generally not the wisest of moves but the idiot currently being held in the air by his head, clearly wasn't the type to think things through.

Kaisui had been excited to actually have some fun at a bar without being trailed by his sister. Hell maybe he'd even get lucky that night. As he entered the bar the smell of working men, smoke, alcohol, and even a slight trace of the pungent smell of vomit entered his nose. Clearly someone had gotten a little too deep in their cups. Upon his entry however, the chatter and noise in the bar died down as the giant man made his way to the bar. Hazard of being freakishly large was you tend to draw attention willingly or otherwise.

He stood between barstools not wanting to break one under his girth ordering a bottle of rum. Then again maybe it wasnt just his height that put people off. His tan skin and scars suggested a working man of the sea and yet, his air and the way he carried himself suggested something darker in nature. It took sometime but drunkards are not known for being quiet and the chatter and volume in the bar soon returned to its normal levels.

His eyes scanned the bar searching for a potential fun night but he didn't seem to be having much luck. The only decent looking waitress was already on another man's lap. The man in question was particularly ugly. Short and rotund with a head of thinning hair, he probably had a lot of money to draw the woman's attentions. Not that that stopped him from appreciating her beauty. A buxom lass with bright red hair and a low cut shirt. The rest of the room was mostly sweaty burly men which was not at all in Kaisui's interest.

Unfortunately, the pretty waitress spotted him looking and winked at him. While that in and of itself wasnt a bad thing he wasn't the only one that saw it. The man who's lap she was on happened to be a captain of a shio and his first mate saw the wink. In a moment of stupid drunken pride and anger he decided Kaisui needed to have his eyes ripped out for looking at his woman.

Fast forward back to said harbor master kicking his legs and grabbing at Kaisui's hand helplessly, while the latter shakes his head and holds the man in the air. A few of his mates had already drawn their weapons and were closing in, while other patrons looked on with excitement waiting for the fuse to go off.

"Come now mates. Nothing we can't settle over a pint or two. Now put those weapons away and I'll set the stubby one down. What do you say?"

Not that Kaisui was afraid but he'd been hoping to tangle himself up in a different kind of mess and this wasn't even close to what he wanted. Unfortunately for him, things dont always go the way you want.

"KILL HIM!"

The stubby man in question shouted out and bedlam broke loose...

If there was one thing Crabman would never tire of as a newly appointed pirate, it was seabreeze. Something about the strong smell of salt and life and the rushing winds over the sound of waves just made him feel at home. Perhaps because he had lived in a laboratory dorm equipped with a saltwater tank before. Maybe because it was simply a naturally pleasant smell. Possibly because he was a half man half crab abomination. Who knew?

What he would definitely get tired of sooner than he thought were the ridiculous "missions" he went on for Umiko, the captain's sister. Kaisui knew how to slip away if he needed some alone time, no little sisters with weird crushes involved. However, she knew this very well herself. So she would send the crab out to find him. This way he would have no privacy to do what he pleased, he wouldn't be able to grow angry thanks to Crabman still being unaccustomed to the etiquette of general society and most important of all, Umiko wouldn't be implicated in the entire scheme. He sighed to himself. The girl was clever, the genuine expression of concern for his social development that she managed to conjure up when convicing him to go was deserving of the best theatres in the country. He only realised her true intentions at the third time she'd done it and even then she threatened to make crabcakes out of him if he didn't comply.

"Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..." Once more, Crabman sighed. A steady flow of bubbles left his mouth as he neared the tavern he assumed Kaisui would be at. It had been hard to find him the first few times, as he had to scour whole villages and port towns. It became real easy once he realised all he had to do was find what Kaisui called "the place with the cheapest booze and dirtiest women! Or maybe it's the other way around, ay? Hahahahahahaha!". At least when it came to booze, Crabman could sympathize.

Slightly irritated, he pushed the door with some violence which led to it banging against the wall. The smell inside was definitely no seabreeze and he wished he had nostrils to clamp closed. As he rose his eyes to look for his captain, he found him holding a human egg by the head. While surrounded by men with furious expressions and armed to the teeth. It seemed as if they were about to make a move, but had stopped at the sound of the opening door. Slowly and surely, Crabman felt their eyes on himself as the entire tavern took its time to process the dramatic entrance of a crabperson. One of the more courageous - or perhaps the most drunk - men quickly made his way to him with a warcry. Taking a step back and throwing his "hands" up, Crabman avoided the sword's strike, before throwing a blow of his own. The man's jaw snapped shut audibly as he staggered and slumped over to the floor. The booze had practically done half the work. Looking directly into Kaisui's eyes, Crabman sheepishly uttered a question.

"Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr?"

Techs UsedShow
[King Crab's Fist • Pincers Up]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The basis of many of this user's techniques, this technique serves as a preparatory stance. Placing their left foot forward and their right foot backward at an angle, the user keeps their closed fists at eye level, with their left fist slightly forward, in the traditional pugilist's stance. This allows them to prepare to defend against an opponent's attacks, while maintaining their fists at the perfect position to riposte, as well as build the user's own offense. Overall, it is a stance that prevents the user from being caught off-balance, and that allows them to adjust their position and angle of attack at a moment's notice.

[King Crab's Fist • Crab Cross]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisites: [King Crab's Fist • Pincers Up]
Carrying considerably more power than the jab, the cross is the second punch most pugilists learn. Consisting of a straight punch thrown with the rear-hand in unison with a twist of the back foot to place more weight behind the blow, it is seen as a quick and efficient way to punish an enemy backpedalling or to complement a series of jabs. It's purpose is to hit hard enough to daze, and depending on the strength behind it, can even knock some teeth loose.

A quiet drink and a bite to eat. That’s all the Rouge Shinobi was looking for. He had his drink, a pint of freshly poured larger and he had his bite to eat, a bowl of hot beef stew. Though he was lacking one thing from the trifecta of his perfect evening. Quiet. His choice of tavern seemed to be of the wrong choice, there was a band of rowdy men filling up the place, singing, joking and laughing.

Nevermind Yoru certainly wasn’t a stick in the mud and decided to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy it. Sat on a small table, in the corner of the tavern and taking a sip of his beer tapping his foot to a group of men singing a jaunty tune, he picked up a wooden spoon and dipped it into the stew, taking a big mouthful. He paused, just for a moment and let the stew fall back out of his mouth into the bowl with a loud plop, it tasted like rotting flesh and salt, how could anyone eat this? There seemed to be some commotion happening, Yoru's gaze fell from his foul stew, not that is was an appealing sight and straight to a giant of a man holding up another short stubby man.

"KILL HIM!"

A show with my meal thought Yoru, he swivelled round on his cheer tapping his hands on his lap with glee. Fine his quiet night was ruined, but least now he’d get to watch a good scrap. A bedlam certainly did break lose, fists were swinging and weapons were drawn.

But something even more amazing happened as the door swung open, a man… if that was the right word walked in. A giant of a man, that appeared to have the physical attributes or a lobster? Or a crab? Yoru was amazed at such a sight, even in the weird and wonderful world of shinobi, this was one of the most weird and wonderful of them all.

The Crabman seemed to have decent reactions and was incredibly powerful, blocking a sword with ease, just with his… hands? How interesting. Where was this guy from? What was this guy? Was it a guy at all? Was it a woman? I’ve done worse. thought Yoru.

His gaze darted around the room, searching for what was cause of the all the ruckus, a beautiful waitress seemed to be trying to get out of the way. Ah, love and war often went hand in hand, it was no surprise at all.

“Ere, that ginger bloke is winking at the Cap’ins new bird he is!” Yoru’s sight drifted to the man who’d just spoken, who was bounding over to him, rolling up his sleeves in a stereotypical fashion “Oi, stop winking at that bird.” Yoru was puzzled, he certainly wasn’t winking. Then it quickly dawned on him what the confusion was.

Ah you see, I only have one eye. I’m not winking, I’m just blin-“ before he could finish his sentence, a fist crashed into his jaw, this man obviously had no clue who Aizawa, Yoru was. One of the famed Bannin of Konoha, turned rouge shinobi. Yoru sighed, tutted and shook his head. Picking up his beer, he took a large gulp, until it was finished. Standing up, the man swung again, Yoru disappeared and reappeared behind his back in the blink of an eye, grabbing him by the collar Yoru flung the man forward, smashing him through a window, landing in a clump outside.

It seemed his quiet night had gone out the window.

Just as he was about to be jumped by an angry mob that
He could probably take out with his eyes closed, crabinator arrived and distracted the bunch. He'd holler out seizing his chance and throw the short stubby one down the bar smashing all the drinks till he fell off unlikely to rise back up.

"See? He aint so loud now that a few pints 'ave gone to his head. Who's next eh? Oh a brave lad we've got ere eh? Haha well lets see 'ow long ya last mate!"

Kaisui would laugh and take a swig of rum as another man stepped forward. At least he was laughing until the fool slashed the rub with a short club. Anyone who know Kaisui knows he's a horrible alcoholic. And the man has very few bottom lines. Don't miss treat women and children. Dont waste rum. That's pretty much it.

Poor bloke didn't even see him move. One second hes slashing down at an enemy and the next he was flying sideways through the air and crashing inti his mates. Kaisui's eyes seemed to be red as he roared out at the injustice.

"Not the bloody rum you fool!
As the gents surrounding Kaisui were knocked back they interrupted a poker game on the table behind them the bets going everywhere. True bedlam ensued as one of the men smashed his mug into another's face in anger. Soon the whole bar was a raging riot. Kaisui grabbed a barstool and started fencing and parrying with it as if it was a sword.

He noticed another man being accused by the same bunch and smirked as he took out his drunken offender tossing him through a window. That particular person in the crowd seemed to be holding his own remarkably well. He certainly seemed different from the rest of the mob. He intentionally pushed a few men his way curious to see how he handled them.

Aside from that he continued to swing his fist and make shift sword. Lost in the mayhem and swept up in the atmosphere of violence he failed to notice that figure beside him was his own shipmate. He prepared to swing grabbing his chest before recognition kicked in.

"Ahhhh! Oh .. wait.. its you. Having fun? Keep smashing then! Hahahahaha!"

"Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" Crabman enthusiastically replied as Kaisui recognized him just in time to stop his attack. The man was clutching his clothes by his chest and holding him firmly in place. He could still barely believe that his Captain was considerably bigger than himself. He wondered if it had something to do with the fact that both of them had genetic codes closely tied to marine life.

Just before he was released from Kaisui's grip his eyes turned just in time to see a man fly across the tavern. He soared with all the grace of a pig rolling down a hill, and crashed through a window, landing with the sound of wood and glass scattering. Everyone seemed to stop for a moment, and to him the world itself had frozen as he stepped towards the hole in the wall to see the crumpled mess of a man that laid outside on the ground, unconscious. Turning his head, he spied the visage of the man responsible for the ruckus. His hair was well-taken care of and he had a pretty boy appearance going on. He was missing an eye, though, and something about his composure reminded Crabman of the Konoha samurai he had met in the past. Perhaps he had been trained?

A fist crashed into his "face" in a rude reality check and he stumbled sideways. He wasn't hurt, but the punch staggered him enough for him to not notice that he was now surrounded by grown men who had no intention of letting him leave peacefully. Unsure of what to do, he assumed the stance his kangaroo brother had shown him so many times. Yet, there was a part of him that kept him from firing off the first shot in the strange standoff he found himself in. He didn't want to fight, he didn't want to hurt. All he wanted was to enjoy his time off without doing stupid favors for his boss' stupid sister that almost inevitably led to him becoming the target of drunkard wrath.

Something smacked him on the chest and fell off, leaving him unscathed. Confused, he looked down to inspect whatever it was. As he picked up the strange, rough object he brought it closer to his eyes. It appeared to be a strange, hollowed out seashell with the weirdest of shapes. The tinge was orange and the shell appeared to have rough bristle-like hairs on it. It almost reminded him of...himself.

"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" As he analyzed it closer, he realized he had just been assaulted with the desecrated corpse of one of his brethren. He felt like hurling, but the rage took over. Crabman saw red and began firing off punch after punch at the men that had him surrounded, going from a pacifist to a hulking red beast that was destroying all the furniture. One of the men fell, he noticed that much, but his rampage went on.

Two men hurtled towards him, swinging their fists at him. Yoru was in a class of his own compared to this ruffians at the bar, to him it was as though they were moving in slow motion. Tilting back as the fist swung towards his jaw, slipping past and missing it’s mark. Throwing up own hands, his fingers wrapped around the hooligans wrist, his other hand bawled into a fist smashing into the elbow of his attacker and snapping his arm almost in two.

A curdling scream filled tavern, the scream soon dwindled as the man passed out from the pain. The other assailant paused for a moment, struck with panic and paralysed with fear. He started at Yoru, who simply nodded at him and the floor, the assailant nodded back in agreement, laying down and pretended he was knocked unconscious “Good boy.” Muttered Yoru as he stepped over the man.

His eye widened with shock as the Crab Man seemed to launch into a fit of fury, Yoru slowly stepped back avoiding the strange beast of a man so that he wasn’t caught in the torrent of strikes, even if it was by accident. The way the Crab was ripping through the patrons and the furniture, it was start to go a little too far and needed to be ended soon. Yoru would be the one to end it, weaving a sequence of hand seals he felt a surge of chakra pour through him.

He opened his mouth and began to sing a chanty ”Our ship she lies in harbour, just ready to set sail, may heaven be your guardian, love, till I return from sea!' Said the father to the daughter, 'What makes you so lament? Is there no man in all the world Could give your heart content?” Most of the patrons paused, turning on the point and staring at him as he sang, his song was soothing on it’s own, but combined with the Genjutsu anyone who heard the shanty would be lulled into relaxation and would feel instantly calm. Hopefully the fighting would now come to an end.

Kaisui was getting ready to bash his chair down on a mans head when he heard the man who was kicking ass start singing in a gentle melody he was quickly distracted. The song was familiar and filled him with warmth but there was something off. He couldn't quite put his finger on it though it certainly sounded lovely.

He dropped the chair with a loud crash as it tipped a table over. Eureka thats what was missing! He was singing it softly. Sea shanties were meant to be sung loud and boisterously. As the man finished his verse Kaisui chimed in deeply raising up a bottle of rum.

"Said the father to the dawt-ter,
'What makes you so lament?
Tis there no man in all the world,
Could give ye heart content?!'"

He took a swig of rum before calling out to the room to join in.

"Everybody!

Said the dawt-ter to the father,
'I'll tell the reason why:
You have sent away that sailor-lad
That could me satisfy!"

As he sang he tossed passed the bottle to Crab. Then taking advantage of the distraction, went to the bar and started handing out more bottles; the bartender too caught up in the song to notice. He grabbed a bottle for himself and another for the short red head, offering him the bottle.

Well he probably wasnt short. Maybe average? It was hard to tell since just about everyone was short compared to him. Made getting clothes a pain. Partially why the shirt he had on right now was already shredded. At least his brown vest was intact if not too small.

As his righteous rage spurred him on, Crabman was barely conscious of his actions. Most of his wild punches were missing, victimizing little more than the furniture. Most of his opponents were in genuine shock at the visage of a crabperson bulldozing through their make-shift arena. As his advance took him forth, however, he managed to catch one of the villainous crab-eaters off-balance. The man found himself cornered and Crab's fist shot out with the eagerness of a rattlesnake. Thankfully for himself as well as for Crabman's desire to keep his hands mostly clean, it never met its mark. It hovered mere milimetres away from the poor man's nose, stopped in its tracks.

The giant crustacean felt his rage unwind and fade into thin air as he halted his assault and slowly turned his head to the source of the most beautiful of melodies. It was nothing like the music of nature in the laboratory. Far more enticing than the breeze of the sea and more comforting than the loudest of shanties sung by Kaisui's crew. The red-haired man was standing in place, gifting them all with the performance of a lifetime.

"Brrr....?" He sheepishly buzzed as he stared in awe at the man before him as he finished his verse. He'd heard singing, yes, but never of this quality. What a wonderful world with so many things he still had to discover.

Kaisui's voice soon boomed as he sang himself. It was a huge constrast to the man's prowess and far from calming, but welcome none-the-less. Crabman understood he had been silly in his reactions, and he joined Kaisui in his glee. With his hand he trapped his previous opponent in a sideways hug, inviting him to sing along as a way of making the peace.

"Brrrrrr, brrrr brrrrrrrr! Brr, brr, brr, brrrrrrrr!" He accompanied his captain in a song they'd both sung dozens of times as they worked, played and drank. He accepted the rum given to him with open eyes, downing a long, throat-burning gulp. He quickly helped his new "mate" drink his fair share as well, though he might have not noticed the man was incapable of releasing himself from his deathly grip as he unwillingly downed the rum. Crabman proceeded with the song as Kaisui robbed the tavern owner blind of all his alcohol, motioning the other patrons and inviting them to join, deadset on repaying the man's favour with his own terrifying version of a sea shanty. If a crabperson could smile, Crabman was boasting a wide grin.

He waved to the red-haired man, motioning for him to join them in drinking.

Yoru’s song rang throughout the tavern, all those who were previously fighting would feel an aura of calm around them, they’d simply stop fighting. His gaze immediately fell to the giant of a crab man, who’s berserking tirade had come to an end. The red-haired man, mopped his brow and sighed a sigh of relief. He didn’t not want to get caught within those sharp pincers. The giant tanned man seemed to be inspired by the Yoru’s song and began singing his own jaunty tune and passing out bottles to everyone near the bar. The bar tender still under Yoru’s genjutsu, was so relaxed he’d simply let anyone rob him. Though no one seemed to have any ill will, they were just happy to be passing drinks around and enjoying the festivities.

The large Crab Man seemed to gesture over Yoru, who wasn’t going to decline a free drink. He was handed a unmarked bottle of some kind if alcohol, not that Yoru was picky. He pulled off the cork and took a big swig, A burning sensation ran down his through and in his nostrils. Whatever it was, it was some good stuff.

Yoru joined in with the jaunty tune, trying to ignore the unmelodic song of the Crab.

“Said the dawt-ter to the father,
'I'll tell the reason why:
You have sent away that sailor-lad
That could me satisfy!"

He took another big swig and passed the bottle to the crab, what a curious day Yoru was having, first he got into a fist fight started by a giant and then shared a drink with a giant crab. He suddenly felt quite small as he moved closer to the two gigantic men “Aizawa, Yoru!” he shouted over the rowdy crowd, introducing himself, offering his hand for them both to shake, though he was interested how the Crab would approach this.

Hearing the red heads name Kaisui would pause for a moment as to whether or not he should give his true name. He was a wanted man for murder back in Kumo and they being partners with 2 of the 4 other shinobi villages meant amy shinobi he met was likely to be hunting him... Bah what the hell. He had Crab, Umiko and Ichiro to bail his ass out should anything happen to him. He reached forward and shook the man's hand... Or rather he tried. With his hand so large compared to the red head it was like that of a father holding his child son's hand. His fingers wrapped around the man's hand engulfing it in a firm grip as he shook.

"Captain Ryōshi Kaisui. At your service mate."

The handshake would end as quickly as it began. Kaisui wasnt a man for holding hands unless it was the soft tender hand of a comely lass. Or a buxom wench that would suit his taste just fine as well. Unfortunately due to Umiko's efforts moments such as those had been few and far between as of late. He was wondering if she wanted him to live a life of celibacy. Regardless Kaisui noted the man's real interest was in Crabination next to him. He couldn't blame him. He was certainly something to look at. Besides it took the focus off him a bit which as an MN was a valuable thing. Yes people would remember a tall man from tonight, but they wouldn't remember much about him most likely. Ni the one they'd truly remember would be the crab.

Happy with the stranger's willingness to join their rowdy tune, Crabman cheerfully accepted the returned bottle, pulling a long swig as he did so. Aizawa, Yoru. The man with an angel's voice and a demon's strength. This event would definitely be burned into the crustacean's memory for a long time. The man with the hair of gentle fire offered his hand in a gesture of friendship. Despite his eagerness, the oceanic panic of a creature let Kaisui do the honours. His captain enjoyed being the first to introduce himself. Umiko had explained it as "branding" and "image" and "stuff your lil' crabby brain won't get", and while Crabman himself had no idea what any of this meant per se - though knowing Umiko, he could guess the intent in her dismissals - he nonetheless abided.

"Brrrrrrrrr..." He greeted, ending in a flourish of a high note, not unlike a dolphin's call to a newfound friend, though far more vibrant and guttural. Avoiding the possibility of harming their new friend's quick hands, he clenched his right pincer and extended it, inviting the man to bump it. He took another swig of rum as he did so. Something about hanging with Kaisui on a daily basis had spurned a real taste for the liquid fire in him.

As they finished their quick greeting, Crabman couldn't help but attempt to compliment Yoru. He pointed at him, quickly sliding his hand over his head while crouching, stating that he is short. He then proceeded with a motion of sheer surprise, with wide open arms and confused movements of the head. Finally, he pointed to Yoru, then towards the poor patron that was laying crumpled up outside and finished with the motion of throwing a heavy weight through the window.

"Brrrrrrrrr, brrr, brr, brr, brrrrrr...." Crabman chuckled as he imagined the event. He pointed towards Yoru again, then rose his left arm and tapped the bicep with another, showing respect for the man's superior strength.

As the tall, dark skinned pirate introduced himself and said the word ‘mate’ he pondered was she using the term mate as in friend or as in ‘ship mate’ not that it mattered either way, but it was a thought none the less. His hands were incredibly large and his grip matched, Yoru returned with a strong shake back but his small hand wouldn’t be able to return much pressure. Though as a Shinobi Yoru had deep hidden strength, he knew it was likely that for now he was probably physically stronger, though he didn’t know for sure and even if he was, they weren’t engaging in combat and Yoru didn’t plan on that changing any time soon.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Said Yoru in response as their shake was broken up, rather abruptly by the man known as ‘Ryishi Kaisui’ not that Yoru minded either way, some men were uncomfortable with a simple hand shake, he wondered why? Though again another throw away thought that didn’t matter in the slightest.

His attention was now of course taken by the gigantic crab man, his large red claw bounded over which Yoru took somewhat gingerly, though the Crabman seemed to be taking quite some care and responded simply with a ‘Brrrrrr’ it was apparent to the Ex Bannin, that this Crabman couldn’t speak at least not English, though he doubted these ‘Brrrrrs’ were actually an intelligible language.

He wondered if he was even capable of communicating at all. Those wonders soon came to an end, Yoru’s eye twitched as the Crabman seemed to insinuate he was short and then seemed to laugh at him, but then gestured that he was physically strong and seemed to be re-enacting the events that had just transpired. Yoru snorted in response and shook his head, Yoru had never really felt short before in his life but these two men were giants though in a world of shinobi it wasn’t really an advantage, it made you a bigger target and even easier to see. Though Yoru wouldn’t compare himself to the two for now.

"Well thank you I guess, though I really shouldn't of gone so far!" he admitted, it was never a good idea for a missing ninja to make such a show of himself “Aizawa, Yoru.” He introduced himself to the crab man “What should I call you, Burr?” he shrugged and looked over his shoulder to the pirate “Does your friend here have a name?” he asked with interest, though he pondered how the crab would be able to share the information at all.

Kaisui couldnt help but laugh as the crabman did his signature charades act to communicate. He had gotten better at it. Or at least he thought so. Umiko would usually just call him baka and explain regardless how close he came. To be honest most of it once again went over his head but he did notice crabby called the red head short. Though the next part seemed to be about oral...wait how many times has Umiko made the crab spy on him for petes sake. That's not the kind of thin he should be learning.

Kaisui swore silently under his breath shaking his head. Either crab had been spending too much time with Ichiro at the brothels which was a disturbing thought in and of itself or he'd been spying on him too much and seen things he shouldn't. Drawing his attention back to the red head just in time for him to introduce himself. He paused when asked if Crabman had a name.

"Course he does. Granted he'll respond to just about anything crab/crustacean related with the exception of shrimp. His actual name as everyone onboard calls him is Don'yokuna Kani-san or Kane kani for short. You see Mr.Crabs has a thing for the shiny stuff in life namely jewels and gold. In fact in his spare time youll often catch him counting it in stacks."

Kaisui paused at the end and wondered if hed just insulted his quartermaster by calling him greedy... Probably not if anything the crabman would probably agree laughing. And even if he had a barrel of rum was all he needed to get back in his good graces. After all that's the reason the rum was always gone. Between the two giant men of exceptional thirst they were constantly running out of rum. Any rum that was looted instantly joined the supplies of the ship. Very little if any was ever sold.

It wasn’t uncommon for the captain to go ahead without him, especially over the last couple months with the addition of Kani-san as he was sometimes called. The two were both giants and always thirsty and rowdy whereas Ichiro often preferred to stay with the ship, at least long enough to ensure any cargo was offloaded and sold for a good price and new provisions were acquired. After the essentials were taken care of he was known to indulge himself in drinks and women, particularly after a good haul. First things first however was making sure his captain and the crab-man hadn’t gotten themselves in over their heads. The unassuming teenager who hailed from Waterfall Country was not a particularly powerful fighter, but he could often make enough of a difference to get his shipmates out of a bind. In no small part do to the fact that eyes were never on him when he entered a room.

When he had eventually decided to check in on the others it hadn’t taken him long to find them. All he had to do was go to the nearest, loudest bar. Wearing a blue hooded jacket the young man shook his head at the sight of a man sprawled out in front of the bar. He was holding a very clearly broken arm and groaning in pain, fluttering in and out of consciousness. “Fighting already?” he muttered in mild amusement, before looking up to the moon and its positioning. It was a clear night, past 11 to be sure. “Suppose it’s about that time” he realized, he was going to miss out on some of the fun it seemed though bar fights weren’t really his thing and it was best the others had a head start on drinking anyway as he was quite the lightweight, at least if he were to be drinking straight rum. On beer he could pace himself well enough.

Approaching the injured man Ichiro knelt and firmly grabbed the arm, steadying the man in place as he deftly pulled the man’s wrist and aligned the bone properly with a sickening squelch and pop. Fortunately, he always carried with him some essential medical equipment, utilizing some simple bandage and a nearby stick to create a splint and firmly wrap the arm in place so that it may heal properly. “No hard feelings mate, on yer way with ya” he beckoned to the man despite some angry words and foul language and some muttered notions of revenge. He was used to drunken pride and after some brief placating the man finally stumbled off.

Sighing, Ichiro entered the building and lowered his hood, looking over the destruction. The usual scattered and broken chairs and many injured men though surprisingly it seemed they had already moved on to further drinking and singing a familiar shanty. Huffing incredulously Ichiro embraced the atmosphere. He had always admired how quickly his captain could go from brawling to leading others in comradery and celebration. Interestingly the bartender seemed to be rather distracted, almost as if in a daze. He wondered if it might be genjutsu or some kind of other shinobi influence, darting his gaze through the crowd he set his eyes on an unfamiliar face near his captain and the large crustacean. ‘Probably just over thinkin’ it’ he considered, he had been called paranoid a few times in his observations of others, always on edge about potential shinobi encounters. He knew all too well the kind of power they wielded and the crew had several close calls over the last year or two they had been sailing together. Instead the young first mate decided to take advantage of the situation, grabbing a large wooden mug and filling it to the brim with whatever ale the bar had on tap. Taking a deep gulp and finding it to his liking he topped it up once more before heading over to the others, belting out a few lines of the song and letting himself enjoy the atmosphere of the place as he approached. “How’s it going fellows?” he greeted, walking up between crabman and Yoru and standing across from Kaisui. He took another deep drink, he had some catching up to do and so long as everything seemed in order he would allow himself to have a little fun, after all he had managed to get off the ship before Umiko noticed. As much as he was fond of the girl she had a way of trying to keep them out of trouble even beyond what Ichiro was comfortable with.

Crabman had never taken offense to other's remarks of him so far as they weren't malevolent. While at first he insisted on comforting everyone on their awkward attempts at referring to him, these days, now a calm and more socially-capable creature, he actually found it amusing to see people struggling on how to address him. He waved off as Yoru scolded himself for his intensity, and then threw a thumbs up his way. He respected a peaceful man, yet he believed no one should be held accountable for defending themselves.

"Kukukukukukukukrrrrr" He chuckled to himself after taking a sip of the rum he still had in hand. His hands dived under his pockets and with a *plink* a coin flew through the air. Flipping over itself dozens of times as it ascended, the glint of gold made itself visible. As it came back down he snagged it between his middle and index fingers, possibly revealing to Yoru that his pincers only seemed so. While he had no lips to curve into smiles, his eyes affectionately approached and twirled around the coin displaying his fascination with shiny things for all to see.

It was only when he heard the man's voice that he noticed Ichiro had approached them. He had been so entranced in his wealth and the situation that had passed that even with his incredibly sharp senses he'd been unable to see him coming. Still, he was well aware that the First Mate was only ever noticed if he wanted to be so. The man was smart, sneaky and very capable. Crabman respected him, as well as his taste in women when he took him to the brothels.

"Brrrr-brrrr-brrr" The crustacean voiced a bastardization of Ichiro's name, glad to see him. He then pointed to a small hourglass on the edge of the bar, before spreading both his arms as if asking what had taken him so long to join the fray.

As the large pirate gave him the Crabman’s name he shook his head in response Don'yokuna Kani-san… that is far too long.” Yoru chuckled out, his gaze fell upon Kane Kani’s pincers as he showed he seemed to have fingers, his physic was something that Yoru was fascinated with, how had come to be? He’d never heard of a clan of Crab-men before.

Then it dawned on him, he had met someone like this before. A small boy in Konoha, though his transformation wasn’t anywhere near as much as Crabman. Though he couldn’t remember his name, though he could remember his father Seita, Gein a crazed man that had being performing strange experiments, the last Yoru had heard he was in Shark Country.

Was it possible that Kane Kani was one of these same experiments, it certainly was possible "I wondered if you-“ he was interrupted by a normal sized man, at last Yoru wasn’t the only one surrounded by giants. It was apparent to Yoru that he was part of Kaisui’s crew, at least by his friendly manner and the Crabman seemed to be chastising him for being so late, as though they’d expected him to arrive. “Aizawa, Yoru.” He introduced himself, offering out his hand for the stranger to take.

His attention was taken back to Crabman, as he tried to pull back his thoughts, it wasn’t a thought he wanted to lose track of “Kane Kani…” it felt weird calling him that, he’d need to find something more suitable “When you get a moment, I’d like to talk to you about something. I may have an interesting proposal for you, though it may take you away from your duties for a couple of days.” He emphasised this last part to pirate captain, so that he was aware that Yoru planned to take away his crewman for a while.

"My crew are free to leave and join back as they please. However, they understand if they're not back by the time we set sail it's liable to be a while before we meet again. Fall behind, left behind."

Kaisui gave a simple shrug at Yoru's Inquiry. It wouldnt be the first time a crew member left for a period. Ichiro had left for his own adventures here and there. Though he some how always managed to find his way back. Kaisui liked to think it was because the young man had made a family of the crew. Kaisui was about to speak again when his gaze locked on to a rather attractive sight he spied through the window across the street.

A few scantily clad women were standing around a door calling out to passerbys to draw them inside. Feeling his blood begin to boil a large rowdy smile filled his face. He took a few gulps of rum then set the bottle down on the bar.

"Gents I must excuse myself. A man of the sea must take what he can when he can. If Kani and Yoru wish to speak about whatever thats fine. But I'm going to go get myself in the best kind of trouble..."

With that the large man would, surprisingly, nimbly make his way through the crowd and out the door. Should the others check to see what he's doing they'd see him taking a woman under each arm as he entered the establishment across the street. One a buxom red head in dark green, while the other a remarkably tanned woman with dark hair and a bright blue clothing.

Ichiro chuckled as he caught the glint of crabman’s coin. It was practically a prerequisite in their line of work to have a healthy appreciation for money. The loyalty of their men, provisions, repairs, and weapons all required it to keep them functioning at optimal capacity. Though in Ichiro’s mind there was something even greater, knowledge; specifically, the knowledge that led to power and opportunity. That was the real reason Ichiro preferred to keep his wits about him and also why he enjoyed the atmosphere of bars and brothels. There was always somebody that knew something he could use to the crews advantage. On the index finger of his right hand he wore the ring with an obscure symbol, that of Chishiki. To most it would appear a simple trinket, not uncommon for sailors, and especially pirates to come across but it represented a deeper network of information, one founded by the legendary rogue shinobi Hiraku Kenji. Despite being born in a simple village in Northern Waterfall country Ichiro had a knack for finding himself under the mentorship of remarkable shinobi. One day, he would reach that level and return to purge his homeland but until then he had to grow his contacts and life experiences. What better way to travel the world and learn as much as possible than to join a pirate crew?

He wasn’t sure what the Quartermaster was pointing to at first, thinking perhaps he wanted another round of drinks? But then his bottle of rum was still at least half full. After a few moments of scanning the direction he pointed toward he saw the hourglass and nodded in understanding. “Ah, well you know Umi, besides business first” he explained, their lookout was notoriously fond of following Ichiro around and wasn’t the most supportive of the types of trouble the men got themselves into, probably mostly because she didn’t like being left out if he were to guess. And Ichiro had always been one to take his position seriously, in charge of procuring and offloading cargo, keeping an inventory as well as overall safety of the ship, he tended to check for damage and inspect cargo quite thoroughly. Fortunately, crabman handled all the distribution of rations and settling disputes among crew members and generally more of the hands-on interpersonal tasks, though Ichiro did assist greatly with the actual deck crew and navigation, second to the captain of course. The red-haired man introduced himself and Ichiro met the handshake, having to switch his mug of beer somewhat awkwardly into his other hand first before shaking. “Ichiro” he responded, it was rare for him to use his last name, it wasn’t anything special though he supposed it was fairly common not to have one at all in the minor countries. His dad was the leader of his small northern village, but that only meant that he had a slightly better life growing up than most, taught how to read and write and understand math from a young age, though that wasn’t something he flaunted around.

Getting back to drinking he attempted to feign disinterest to Yoru’s proposal toward his shipmate, though of course, he was naturally wary about having a companion whisked away. Perhaps more pressing however was the curiosity that burned in his icy, almost electric blue eyes, though he looked to the captain, nodding in agreement with his statement. Ichiro had gone off before, attending a festival in Fur Country and training ninjutsu there, as well as later discovering Hiraku Suzume in Dragon Country. Always the young man was seeking out others to learn the shinobi arts from, his thirst was never satisfied so long as there was more for him to learn, and his skills in chakra manipulation were incredible under the right guidance though alone they seemed to stagnate. At least with Kaisui he could continue some progress alongside someone else who understood though he was nowhere near as proficient as the several Bannin he had met and trained under over the last few years.

Ichiro smirked, shaking his head in amusement as he noticed the captain’s eyes wander. More than anything the Waterfall native was attracted to intelligence and ambition in women, though he was still a man and appreciated their comforts when he could get it. More importantly though, he could often offer medical advice and herbal remedies for common ailments to help sway such workers to give him information or pass along messages to the right people, one would be surprised how many powerful individuals with deep connections attended such establishments and how freely they talked when they were at ease. “I should keep an eye on him” he justified with a wry smirk, downing the rest of his drink before setting it down on the bar. Though truthfully his interests drew stronger to the conversation about to occur. As he moved through the crowd and slipped out of the building he moved into an alley briefly, conjuring a likeness of himself from a nearby puddle which moved back to an window outside the bar, leaning against the building and chatting up some people outside casually while watching the mannerisms of crabman and this Yoru person. As always Ichiro was cautious and not one to leave any of his crewmates completely alone or around suspicious company. The real Ichiro would follow his captain along, eying up some of the available women as he entered the building across the street.

Crabman couldn't help but give off a chuckle at Ichiro's reply. In a ship populated and manned by criminals, giants, violent men and overall the wastes of society, sometimes it seemed that it was the young brash girl that kept everyone else in line. And despite being a buzz-kill, it was not like anyone could blame her. One single venture of the Captain, First Mate and Quartermaster and the result had been an entire tavern being levelled, alcohol consumed and now possibly another of the seven sins would be indulged upon.

"Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..." Crabman waved off Kaisui, wishing him some fun. He would be looking for his own fun later on, though the one time he had succeeded the only reason he had managed was because Kaisui and Ichiro shoved a bag over his head and told the poor woman it was the result of a lost bet. Without such shenanigans, women that would be interested in engaging a crabperson were not exactly the most common of natural resources.

Taking a swig from his bottle, he nodded towards Ichiro as he decided to keep a close eye on their Captain. Probably for the best, all things considered. As he wiped his mouth on his left sleeve, Crabman turned to Yoru. The man was still one big mystery to the creature. Capable of strange spells, at ease even when around pirates. What could a person like that possibly want with himself?

"Brrrrrrrrr...?" Over the past couple of months, our red friend had developed his skill at charades out of sheer necessity. It was either that or go misunderstood. Although the booze was starting to do its work, he gave his best shot at communicating with the man. Pointing towards himself, then at Yoru and then at his mouth, he invited him to speak up. He finished the "sentence" with a shrug of the shoulders and a wide movement with both hands, showing he had no idea what to expect from the conversation.

It seemed as though if he was to borrow Crabman their time would be incredibly limited, if he wasn’t there when they set off it would be difficult for Yoru and Crabman to find the ship again, he would have a solution to this problem if Crab decided to take him up on his offer.

He waved the two off as they moved towards a group of young women, likely prostitutes, specially in an establishment like this. Something that didn’t overlay interest Yoru, he enjoyed the company of women, but he certainly wasn’t in the habit of paying for it. Though he wasn’t one to judge, he imagined there weren’t many women for seafarers. His mind was then taken to Crab and his anatomy and when it came to women, ‘Would he? Could he? Would they?!’ he quickly pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind, though if he was honest, he was interested how it would work.

“Uh, yes..” he was slightly flustered, shaking his head to focus himself “Have you ever heard of Seita, Gein?” He assumed the answer would be no, assuming it was Yoru would begin to divulge “He was a Doctor, back in Konoha who performed… experiments, with humans and sea creatures. He’s no longer in the village he’s a rouge shinobi now.” He paused for a moment, taking a sip from the bottle of spirits he had, trying to gather his thoughts “It may have no connection at all, but it seems likely. Last I heard he was in Shark Country, if you like we could venture out.”
