Legends: Tame the Dragon

It was no secret there was tension within the lands surrounding the Land of Fire. Countries didn't trust, nor did they want to obey the laws of foreign lands. Tension and suspicion are vessels for hatred. The most suspicious and tense country that neighbored the Land of Fire was the Dragon Country. The great land that held the legendary Mount Daemar and host of the ferocious Kikio Swamp, held a deeper secret. That secret was the might and weight held by the Gullean and Seledar Markets. What most people didn't know was that in the underground of these markets lied a larger threat to the Land of Fire: The Merchant Seat. The council of this served as the leaders and the law setters of the Dragon Country. Protected by the "lawless" Ku-Dei-Ka, the combination of wealth, agriculture, and inhumane practices of punishment left the country fully controlled by this council.

This was something that not only Konoha and its Fire Country couldn't ignore, but wanted to strengthen their underground stronghold on the lands surrounding. A lot of trade was done through this council and it was a capability that couldn't be ignored any longer. Throughout all of history it was favored to take over lands through brute force and flexing of strength. However, Konoha and its leaders had a more thought out plan to control these markets. Simply said, absorb the Dragon Country as a whole. Overtime Konoha tested their awareness and their skepticism that was rumored to be compared by none. With time the leaders of Konoha and the hidden forces sent out to tackle these tasks found weaknesses. Although the Dragon Country was strong and had a finite ruling system, with no definite rule there lied many weaknesses.

With this knowledge Konoha and its Leaders formulated a plan to cripple the Dragon Country and cause them to implode and surrender. Strategically, this would allow Konoha to flex its strength without having many casualties. This tasked landed on the newly formed Anbu. The mission was set, cripple the leadership and show them their weaknesses. By revealing that they aren't as strong as they thought they were, Konoha could use this realization to assume control of the Dragon Country and manipulate the trade from the shadows within the shadows. The Anbu's mission was to interrupt the weekly meeting of the Merchant Seat and exploit their arrogance.

The Merchant Seat met once a week in a random location. Usually within a basement or the highest floor of a building. Usually heavily guarded by Ku-Dei-Ka body guards. However, that was just in the building that the meeting would be taken in. Surrounding the building would be merchants and traders, all of which were employed by someone within the Merchant Seat. Children would run around the Gullean and Seledar Markets. These children weren't just "having fun" or "homeless" they were actually employed by the Merchant Seat and Ku-Dei-Ka as well. Since they are hired to pay attention to the people of the markets every day, they can spot someone who looks foreign or different than the regulars that passes. Since they weren't schooled and actually were paid employees, their literal job was to remember faces. It was rumored that they could recognize someone who has visited and consult with the other children to find out how many times someone has visited or if they have even visited in the past.

Since the Anbu was disbanded, they had been formed under new leadership. With that new leadership came a formation of honor and reputation that had to be established. They took on this mission not to only show their might, but to prove that no one was safe as long as they attempted to run around in the shadows. The Anbu lived in the shadows, simply, they were the shadows. The Anbu had a mission with no guarantee of living after, this mission was to assassinate half of the Merchant Seat council members right before the Fire Country flexed their military. With lack of rule, chaos, and uncertainty of their lives, the Council Seat would have no option but to surrender and accept Fire Country Rule. This was the mission.

Legends: Tame the Dragon

Post by Texas » Sat Mar 06, 2021 12:50 pm

The night had struck the country. The Anbu have spent several months investigating the lands and studying its' leader's habits. Through research, recon, and patients the team had assembled enough intel to get the identity of two of the members that helped governed the Dragon Country. With this Intel the Shinobi from the Anbu were tasked with one final mission before going home.

The Anbu established a secure location in a small village near the Seledar Market. They were undercover and disguised themselves as Merchants. Since they spent several months in this village and have provided the village with aide and visited both of the markets multiple times, they have established themselves as up-and-coming merchants. They were getting a reputation for selling average blades for a cheap price, and for selling random "exotic" items. They made a routine of going to the village with a couple of miscellaneous weaponry that would be considered ninja weapons, samurai armor, or other objects that wouldn't necessarily be something created... more "found". This tactic lead them to the intel of a few seat members based on who bought the items and where they ended up.

The intel was clear. The two members had a location and time of meeting with the rest of the Merchant seat. That time was this night. With this in mind, all of the members of the mission along with the leader, Yoru, gathered to discuss the mission before heading out. It was very important for all members to understand where the meeting was being held and how they conducted it. At this point in the mission, all of the members understood the barriers that would be in front of them. They knew of the children, the body guard, and how all of them operated.

With the pleasantries out of the way and the Anbu members have assembled, Tenzin unraveled the map of the Seledar Market. The Anbu member, Tenzin, spoke up and began with giving the lowdown of what was going on.

"The two members we tracked down are going to be at the Romokoto Bar. It is on the left side of the middle sector of the Seledar Market. The bar is known for being three floors with outdoor drinking and live music. This makes a perfect place for a secret meeting to take place with the amount of people that go in and out, along with the music to keep any disturbances be drawn out by the sound."

Tenzin looked around the other members before continuing. He looked back down at the map, but took out a pencil to use. He circled the structure in the map, and then to the right he began to draw it. The drawing was not the best illustration, but it was good enough to get the idea.

"As you can see the three floors are rather large. But it is not the location of the meetings at all. Below the building are two floors. One is storage, but the next is a hidden floor that isn't even located on any kind of blueprints tat could be salvaged. In fact, the second basement floor is based on rumors. The main reason why this rumor has turned into a concrete fact, is due to the decision to use this facility as their meeting place. They wouldn't have done it without confirmation on security."

Tenzin moved the map a little bit on an angle to draw a little bit more around the structure he drew originally.

"Now then, we can expect that the Ku-Dei-Ka members will be within the bar monitoring everyone who comes in. They will most likely be on all floors and the roof. The higher they are, the easier they can survey the land. Them being on the ceiling will also hinder us from entering from the top and walking in. We can also suspect that the Ku-Dei-Ka members will be throughout the storage unit as well. For as much as we know about the Dragon Country and about how they operate, we are still going into this mission with some outliers."

With those final words, Tenzin put the pencil down and lifted his head fully up. He even straightened his back and folded his arms. It was at this point he waited for any questions or any concerns. But mostly, he was interested to hear what other members would think.

A chill ran through the early spring air, the moon unyielded by clouds cascaded through a small crack, just past the blinds of a small window within the meeting room. The light left a thin white, glistening light on Yoru’s almost just as white pale face as he stood stoically behind the Captain Tenzin or as he was also known Captain Sasaeru.

Yoru’s ears though absorbing the sounds that came from Tenzin’s mouth, were however not digested by The Commander. He already knew the plan and the intel, so there was no need for him to listen though if he was honest his mind was elsewhere.

During his exile from the village: Dragon country had become his new home. It was a large country, with a rich economy and was a large enough distance from the great five and provided plenty of opportunities for work for a man living off the land. It felt strange to be back here, to take it over and bring it to his true homeland. It was apparent now why Yoru was given the position of Commander his years within the minor countries was incomparable to any other Shinobi within Konohagakure No Sato, he knew the ins and outs, he’d lived amongst them.

His arms gently folded over one another as his attention was brought back to the task at hand, his fingertips gently moved across the armguards of the traditional ANBU uniform and his white mask clasped between his body and his arm. His newly appointed captain seemed to have everything under control, Yoru was a smart man but preferred to surround himself with even smarter men, He knew that allowing members to take initiative and lead certain tasks would make them more well rounded and give both Tenzin and the organisation more power.

Three other operatives, Nobu, Masuru and Toshiaki all stood at the opposite side of the room of Yoru and Tenzin, all donning their ANBU uniform and holding their masks within their fingertips ready to move out as instructed. They were all glad that they could all soon go home, they had been gathering intel for quite some time and they were yearning for their home. Though the war would be far from over, there would be many more battles to come.

Once Tenzin had finished his briefing, Yoru nodded impressed “Very good Captain Sasaeru.” He emphasised Tenzin’s rank, so that it was clear that he was an authoritative figure on this mission and that the pair would be working closely “I know that as a group, for the most part you have very little experience fighting not shinobi at least of this level. The members of the Ku-Dei-Ka will have intense physical prowess, incredibly strong, fast and usually deadly kenjutsu. If you have to engage, keep your distance and do not let them close the gap.” He spoke with concern for his agents “Do not underestimate them and I’d like to keep casualties to a minimum, so where possible bring them down with nonlethal attacks. We are to bring Dragon Country into the fold, the less people we agitate, the less people will likely revolt against our control. ”

The Anbu Gear. Tenzin almost had a sense of pride wearing it. Since he had been appointed to Captain this was going to be his biggest mark on helping the Village of the Leaf. He turned to Yoru as he discussed the capabilities of the Ku-Dei-Ka. He nodded with agreement. When Noru finished, Tenzin adjusted his mask on the side of his face a little bit. He then reached down to fold up the map. As he did he looked around at the other members. "Commander Tenma is correct. The enemy is heavily skilled, but they are also very sneaky. Always be alert and put some serious thought into anything they happen to say to you if they say anything."

The shinobi rolled up the map and made the some more remarks regarding the bar. "Because of the security detail there are only two ways to get in properly. We can start from the roof and work our way down, or we can go right in the front door. With a proper robe and our merchant table out there we should have a good enough cause to go through the front."

The shinobi looked around for any kind of input or if anyone had a preference of what they would like to do. With a moment, whether or not someone pitched in, he moved on. "Due to the nature and the cautiousness of this organization, there would be a secret way to leave their meeting without going through the bar again. So we will need one person manning the weapons cart outside of the bar, one person 'touring' around in case something goes wrong, and the others will infiltrate the bar. It is important to understand, if something goes wrong they will try to escape. Your first priority is to find the people of the seat and eliminate most of them. That takes precedence over whoever is in the bar."

With the final details laid out, Tenzin turned to the commander. The shinobi trusted Yoru, so he wanted the leader of the Anbu to split us up in teams. With that being said, once we were assigned our roles we would head out and go into the great Seledar Market. The village they have established a relationship was rather close to the Seledar Market. They had a rolling cart that when tilted off on an angle could be moved. With arms on the end, if the cart was put perpendicular to the ground it would rest still. The cart had a folding mechanism on the top that held everything together in like a chest. When rested it could be opened and weapons would be inside. Because of everything in there it would be a little bit heavy. On top of the rolling cart was a bag that contained robes. Robes that would fully cover up their bodies and a hood that could be put over their head. Was it needed?

Yoru listened intently to the intel and plan that Tenzin had laid out, all good options and it was apparent he’d thought out every situation that could and most likely would play out. Once the captain had finished, the Bannin of Konoha leaned back against the wall, his fingers still running over his armguards, he didn’t mind making his men wait and he hoped they understood, he was thinking, weighing up his options, if he chose wrong it could lead to Konoha losing out on expanding it’s reaches to the western territories.

After what seemed an eternity of silence, he finally nodded.

“We take the roof; it may take longer especially if they are in the basement I just think a direct is perhaps too risky. Go in slow. Patience will get us results, stay calm and alert no body.” He pulled himself away from the wall he was leaning against, is chest puffed out, his long red hair flowed down his back and he began to give out the final orders “Mujina, you shall guard the cart I know it may seem a dull job, but you can use your sensory ability to give us intel from the outside and your defensive Mokuton can trap anyone who attempts to escape, Shujaku, Tenshi you both shall follow Sasaeru’s lead and infiltrate through the roof top and slowly make your way down.” He said, as a smile crept across his face “And I shall tour, perhaps even enjoy a good drink at the bar, I shall keep an eye-“ he tapped on the eye patch that hid the byakugan beneath it “On the situation, and will relay information I feel is relevant.”

“We shouldn’t waste much more time.” He gestured for each of them to come towards him, assuming each one did he’d place a fuuinjutsu on each of them so they could communicate through an audio link. Once complete he would nod to Tenzin “At your lead.” He said with a soft, yet commanding tone. This was an ideal test for Tenzin, truly let him spread his wings as a captain.

Tenzin turned toward Yoru and nodded. He was right. Although going through the bar would be the more direct route, the roof would have been the safest. They could infiltrate the back shafts through the roof and get to the basement without being seen. They just had to neutralize the opponents. However, the no killing rule Yoru instilled caused Tenzin to have a little bit of discomfort. Knocking out those enemies would give them a shorter window of time than intended.

This was something that didn't need much time. The parameters were the parameters and Tenzin felt that him and his team he was given were more than capable to follow these rules. Tenzin turned his mask and put it over his face. When Yoru mentioned that he would go to the bar, the shinobi only said one warning since it was time to get moving. By telling Yoru to "be careful" he hoped that he would know what he meant. The bar would not be fully normal. In fact, most of the people that would be getting drunk were actually going to be hired bounty guards. If Yoru was deemed even the slightest bit suspicious, it would incite a bar fight. However, the captain knew that the leader of the Anbu was more than capable to fight them off.

The shinobi turned and lead the group. The village they were talking in was not even half a mile away from the Seledar Market. There would be road between the forest that would lead them to the market. As he began to run and the other shinobi following him, he gave out his first order. "Mujina and Tenma, you guys take the road as if you are going to the market normally. Us four will continue in the woods and take up to the roof top." This tactic was an attempt to make sure any children that were near the outskirts of the village will see the two come to the Market together and keep most of their focus on them.

With that said, the mission was set in motion. The four anbu members hit the forest. Shujaku, Tenshi, and Sasaeru went to the right of the road in the woods. The three shinobi's made their way to their destination. Upon reaching the clearing of the forest, the darkness would be non-existent with all of the lights given off by the market. The Three shinobi would make their way to the first building that was rather tall to begin with. This way they could quickly and quietly travel to their destination with little to no visibility. The other two would find themselves walking right into the market as if they work together, or they could take another route if they wished to.

Yoru turned his head as Tenzin slowly carefully said the words be safe, an ominous warning that the Commander certainly would yield. With a quick nod, he gave the signal for the group to move out and did just that. The Commander, though despite his title wasn’t actually taking the lead on this mission and it was all now in the young Tenzin’s hands, of course if things did begin to go sour Yoru would step in but he hoped he wouldn’t need to.

They all went their separate ways and Yoru headed towards the Romokoto Bar, within the market district. He took a much more casual pace, his Anbu mask placed within his robe as he gently placed his hands together and weaved a nonchalant set of hand seals, he began to pour chakra through himself feeling a warm sensation build through him as his entire body seemed to change and his voice grew gruffer, his hair shortened and darkened. His nose bulbous and his weight increasing, his shoulders stocky and firm and his attire changing completely, appearing to be rudimentary samurai armour.

Appearing as a middle-aged mercenary, these guise of course weren’t the best ploy and could often be seen through. Though Yoru knew there would be little to no shinobi at the bar and primarily samurai, so they would have little experience with the transformation technique and his rouse should keep intact.

Or at least he hoped.

He could her ruckus as he stepped out of the forest and into the busy marketplace, heading directly to the bar. It was a public place, but it seemed well guarded samurai and mercenaries loitering around, he hoped his disguise would work as he edged closer.

The Plan was finally in motion. Tenzin watched as Yoru and Mujina left his sight. In order for this plan to be executed properly, it took everyone on the team to perform their part. Also, it required preparation for the unexpected. The night was still with some cloud cover, however no one could truly tell due to the loud and sleazy nature. As Tenzin, Shujaku, and Tenshi made their way through the forest; they could hear the loud clatter of the town. It felt as though the nightlife was a live. They passed through the forest and were breached by the bright lights. Per the plan, the three headed to the nearest building and began to climb it.

The anbu members scaled the building which seemed to be rather tall. From the view of their building, it didn't seem like anyone was standing on any other roof tops. Tenzin whispered to the other two members, "Quietly and stay within the shadows of the light." The other two members nodded as the young shinobi lead the way. Scaling from building to building, they eventually made their way to a large building. This large building was the location they had scoped out for this night.

At this point Yoru should be at the bar and hidden within the locals. The three shinobi took to a roof that could oversee the building they had to move to. As the three sat there, they were able to count 4 guards on top of the roof. So far so good, however Tenzin could only feel as though something was wrong... as if they were being watched. After a few minutes of surveillance on both the roof top and their surroundings, the shinobi gave both of the other anbu members a nod. With the music, loud chatter, and heavy drinking it would be nearly impossible to hear a struggle on the roof.

Tezin took out his mini staff and the other members took out their weapons as well. The three shinobi jumped off of the roof and aimed to land on one guard each. As the three landed, they skillfully landed on 3 of the 4 guards. With brisk movement and strength, they were able to knock out the guards they landed on. With a quick turn, Tenzin bolted to the 4th member that was paused for only a brief moment due to the shock of what just happened. With incredible speed, Tenzin sprinted to the other guard before he could fully react. As he got close, Tenzin slid to kick the guards feet up from under him. This lifted the guard in the air and with one motion, Tenzin used the leverage he gained from sliding and kicked himself higher than the guard. With a swing of Tenzin's body he slammed his mini-staff against the head of the guard. The brute force of this attack knocked the him unconscious. After they apprehended all of the guards, they put them all together and tied them up.

The next step is to go down the air vent and get to the basement. However, Tenzin had a weird feeling. Before they went to the airvent he communicated through the link Yoru had set up prior. "Roof Secure, something is off, be extra vigilant." With that being said, Tenzin looked at the other masked individuals and moved towards the air vent.

Meanwhile...

The council might be greedy, but they are no dummies. What The Anbu group didn't know that with the last few meetings, they have tighten security. For this particular meeting, they made sure to hire as many people as possible. In fact, they filled the bar with all paid mercenaries. The bar isn't even serving alcohol, it might look and smell like it, but with one sip anyone could tell that it is in fact not alcohol.

They have also hired a C-Rank Missing Ninja to do recon and keep an eye on any funny business. The Ninja had been doing some slight recon, due to his inexperience with highly trained professional, he didn't do the best job of keeping his presence hidden. The Ninja's name was Toto and he is a 5'9" 18 year old male. His previous affiliation is unknown but his specialty in recon has been the reason for his success in most missions. This ninja posed as the Bouncer and would allow everyone who walked in through.

During the time of this event, the council had began their meeting. Due to the size of the building, design, and noise; there was no real way to keep contact with the outside world. What will happen next?

Yoru heard the regular chitter chatter of the bar, his hand pressed against the door and he was met with no resistance as he entered. Everything seemed relatively normal or at least as normal as possible in a bar full of mercenaries during war time. There was a tension in the air, it was almost palpable he instantly felt there was something wrong, a churning sensation warped around his stomach.

The disguised Bannin moved towards the bar, he raised his hand up and place a single finger in the air to say he wanted a drink. It was slipped over to him and his hands wrapped around the cup, when the frequency of Tenzin’s voice rang through his ear, confirming that the roof was secure.

He slipped to a position where he’d be out of ear shot and spoke back “I’ve infiltrated the bar, you’re right something is definitely off.” He slowly placed the glass of alcohol to his mouth and instantly knew it was just water “Be on your guard.” He said with an alerted tone, was this a trap?

With planning prior, everyone was very familiar with the layout of the building. Based on the schematics of the building, Tenzin looked at the other two members that were standing with him. Non-Verbal communication was key, it was very important that if someone could hear them, they wouldn't know what was going on.

The group all looked at each other and Tenzin made a openhanded motion toward the air shaft that lead throughout the building. This was their way of getting to the first level of the basement. The group as a whole followed Tenzin as he opened up over the air vent. The group slowly and quietly traveled down. They could hear the fires and pans hitting from the kitchen on the second floor. As they traveled down, they started to hear the 1st floor where the bar was. The group heard clinking of glasses, songs, and chatter.

Tenzin and the other two anbu members noticed that the air vent had a down drop to the 1st level of the basement. Something was off though, the shaft (according to the previous schematics) were noted that the air shaft should have been a slight decent. Instead of a 30 degree change in the direction of the air vent, it was nearly 180. The drop was 10' which had to be a delicate drop to avoid noise. Tenzin put his hands on the edge of the air vent, he then used whatever size he had to slowly put himself at the bottom. The two other members were a little bit bigger and were able to do it much easier than he had. However when all three of them got to the bottom the top of the air vent shifted. Almost like activating a trap, the top of the vent had a top that slid over it. This blacked out the vent they were in and put them in a pitch black space.

The noise of the bar was still there however, before they could move forward they noticed that the whole entire bar went silent. Tenzin couldn't help but try to communicate with Yoru. "Set?" This was Tenzin's way to see if he was all set. Trying to use little words as possible..... what was going on?

Meanwhile...

The Bar was live! The music, the people, everyone seemed drunk.... but were they? After a few minutes of everything going on with Tenzin and his team, the open doors of the bar started to creak close. Seemed as though an obscure looking bouncer was the reason behind the doors closing. This bouncer had a slender build and looked like the last person that would be hired as a traditional bouncer. As the doors shut, the man walked over to the bar and got two shots. Yoru might notice that as he ordered the shots, a collection of eyes from the groups at the bar would start to focus on him.

It took a little bit for the bar tender to pour the two shots. After the hired missing nin received them, he simply said "Put them on my tab". That caused all of the groups of men to simply continue their conversations and antics but seemingly would become a little bit tense. After the man had received his shots, he brought the two over to Yoru. He would place both of them on the table and attempt to sit down on the other side of Yoru which was a "safe" to arms length away.

The man moved one shot over towards Yoru in a sliding motion to the middle of the table before started talking. "I have been here a while and although there are new people who come here every day.... you seem a little bit different" Due to his experience in some ninjutsu he was able to tell something was off about Yoru. With a smirk on his face like an anime villain who thought he had the upper hand finished his slight pause with a question. ""So what brings you into town?" After he finished his sentence the whole bar seemed to stop in time. Everyone paused their reckless behavior and actually got quiet. What would Yoru do next? No one has made any advances, but it was only a matter of time before something happened.

Yoru’s single hazel eye darted through the crowds of the bar, all drinking all laughing all joking. But this was water? What kind of bar served just water and it was apparent these people weren’t actually drunk and yet, they appeared as though they were.

“Were not set, have your wits about you I think this-“
he was cut off by the man wandering over to him, he couldn’t continue to talk over the comms as the shot was slid over across the bar stopping perfectly in front of the man known as Aizawa, Yoru.

Silence filled the air and a sense of dread fell over him “I’m simply here for work.” He lied, using the false voice through his disguise technique but it was now apparent that the rouse was up, no one else was suspicious that the alcohol was water.

Aizawa, Yoru sighed softly he wasn’t afraid of the men in the room he knew he was powerful enough to kill everyone of them in a matter of seconds, however lethal attacks were to be kept to a minimum, if things were to turn ugly, he’d have to hold back and be very careful.

The tension in the air could be cut with a knife and Yoru had no intention of letting anyone get the jump on him, he picked up the glass and said “Cheers.” Motioning it towards his mouth, assuming the man infront of him did the same Yoru would fling his own shot glass firmly at the mans head and push hard off the ground flipping himself into a central position. He knew that perhaps it wasn’t a good idea to blow his cover, but if he could keep the men at the bar distracted long enough, he’d give Tenzin’s team enough time to complete their task.

With the noise suddenly stopping Tenzin held his fist in the air so that the two other members started moving. Yoru's cut off sentence made Tenzin realize that they had been compromised which could only mean a few things: their intel was leaked or someone who was familiar with chakra was hired. Based on how the operation was ran in the Dragon Country, Tenzin should have accounted for something like this.

After a few moments of silence Tenzin heard a glass break and then a lot of chairs skirt, as if everyone who was sitting down jumped to stand up. Since their cover was blown it was now time for the major blitz. Tenzin never prepared them for plan B, because it was a very simple plan. In short, the plan entailed that all of the shinobi made a full on blitz to do three things. Keep a distraction going, cover the surrounding area for anyone who escapes, and then blitz for the members in control. With swift movements Tenzin sent a hand sign that signaled the other shinobi to rush forward. As the shinobi and the two other members pushed forward at a fast pace, Tenzin began to flow the chakra within him and weave a few hand seals. "Tenma, no way to go back the way we came, cause a distraction if you could. We are now on the clock." Tenzin tried to keep it short in sweet so that they could continue to move forward fast while relaying the message to the leader of the Anbu.

It was clear by the way everything was set up, that they were expecting something. That couldn't be something clogging Tenzin's mind. The agent rushed forward with the other's behind him. As they quickly crawled towards the exit of the vent, Tenzin weaved his last hand sign and released a jutsu that would crawl out of the vent first. The jutsu produced a clone made out of Raiton.

The clone would be the first to pop out of the vent. As the clone was able to stretch his legs, it was attacked. Several soldiers were guarding the entrance to the halls that would lead to the meeting room. Tenzin held for a couple seconds at the exit of the vent as the clone pushed forward to hold off the 6 soldiers that were guarding the entrance to the hall. When the clone was out of site, the young shinobi burst forward. When Tenzin saw the clone ocuping the soldiers, Tenzin took advantage of this moment.

Their time was running short, so Tenzin utilized the chakra within him and quickly weaved more hand seals. Upon his last hand seal the soldiers were able to overcome the clone. The clone would burst into raiton chakra and simply fall to the ground. By the time the soldiers could register what had happened, Tenzin released his jutsu. Tenzin would inhale in an exaggerated manner and then exhale greatly. Out of his mouth; the shinobi would spit out 12 fireballs, 2 for each soldier standing there. They would fly at a speed of 25 and strength of 15 enough to injure them so that the men would not be able to get up, but not killed. The velocity of the jutsu would connect with each of the 6 members and send them to the ground. In one motion Tenzin would send the remaining 3 bursts he had left toward the gate that was blocking the group from the hallway.

When the flame hit the gate, there was a minor explosion from the gate. The two shinobi stood behind Tenzin as the gate fell to the ground. With that explosion, the gate opened. What would happen next?

In an instant the shinobi and the group of samurai leaped on Yoru in an instant, he could feel his transformation begin to slip his long red flowing hair began to appear and the clothes on his back moulded and reformed into a black cloak, his face covered by a white wooden anbu mask. The jig was up, but he had to serve as a distraction and allow for Tenzin and the others to complete the mission.

He of course, could not kill them he had created these rules himself and casualties needed to be kept to a minimum. Blades swung through the air, all with precision and all focused on one target Aizawa, Yoru.

The Anbu Commander contorted his body, violently swinging himself back avoiding each coming blade like a magician’s assistant trapped within a box. His body moving with fluid, yet with care. However it wasn’t good enough, the man who Yoru had thrown his glass ran forward, the crack of lightning could be heard as his hand was engulfed in electricity ripping through the crowd and Yoru’s abdomen.

Blood spat from Yoru’s mouth as he gasped out in pain, how could he be so foolish? He hadn’t expected a shinobi and his entire focus was on the incoming blades. He’d paid for his mistake, luckily it hadn’t struck anything vital. The Shinobi laughed loudly as his hand was inside Yoru, his eye looking menacing “I’d expected so much more from a member of the Anbu!” he screamed, his spit hitting against Yoru’s mask.

However, the Shinobi like Yoru had done, underestimated his opponent. A wound like this would eventually kill Yoru, but he certainly had enough time to keep fighting until he received medical attention. He couldn’t receive another blow like this again.

The whites of his eyes turned black, and black tears poured from his face and down in a straight line across his cheeks. Yoru was in pain and didn’t have much time to waste, his hands gripped firmly around the mans arm holding him in place. Feathers dripped through his pour, and flung out covering the entire bar, striking every samurai and the shinobi in front of him.

In an instant, everyone of them slipped to the floor with a loud thud and a clang of metal. None of them were dead, but they we’re all paralysed. The shinobi’s arm slowly slipped out of Yoru’s body, who winced out in pain dragging himself towards the bar and leaning against it. Picking up a bottle and taking a swig, sighing and spitting it out in annoyance, completely forgetting it was water. His hand moved towards the fuuin on his neck, but before he could activate it his hand slumped down and he fell down on the bar, blood pouring from his mouth and his stomach.

He was out of action for now, hopefully Tenzin and the rest of the team wouldn’t take too long.

Tenzin and the two other agents were running through the dark corridor. The noise made might have set off the council from their meeting. They clearly had made some unexpected precautions for the Anbu unit which wasn't fathomable in Tenzin's research. The three come up to a dimly lit room of 3 men and 2 women sitting in this dungy room. The room had the appearance of an old basement that had the very minor upkeep. The council was shocked by the presence of the three Anbu agents standing in the entrance. All three wearing the standard issue Anbu Uniform with white wooden masks.

Immediately a larger fatter man, who Tenzin had known was in charge of the illegal jewel importing along with exporting, slammed his fist on the table. "We were told only two! How did they get passes our bounty hunter and group of hired arms! This is unacceptable!" In that moment a woman simply stood up, who was recognized as the arms dealer within the council, with anger "The intel given to me was clearly false!"

The mission was laid out in front of the Anbu unit below the bar, take out 2 of the 5 members in order to cripple their full leadership. One man with long brown hair looked at them very calmly with a knife in his left hand. He looked at them and simply muttered "So what now?" Tenzin had fully been annoyed by them talking with each other. Based on their conversation they had fully planned for a smaller group and to focus on going through the bar. This meant that the brunt of the fighting had been done by Yoru. They had to execute this quickly and get Yoru so they could get out of there.

Tenzin muttered a few words so that him and the Senju agent could get close. "You take the Fat man to the right, I have the Brown haired one. Lights!" The moment Tenzin yelled lights, Masuru started to weave the hand signs to release his jutsu. By controlling his chakra and releasing it the light around his body started to get brighter. Natural human reaction was to look it at it. All of them looked what was only for an instant, but that was enough. All of the council members put their hands on their eyes since they were acknowledging they couldn't see. In that same instant, Tenzin and the Senju Anbu Agent rushed to their targets. Tenzin ran forward he jumped slightly and used his butt to slide over the top of the desk in order to get to the brown haired leader. The man was swinging the knife sporadically since he couldn't see. The shinobi swung his body up while sliding his right hand to his ninja pouch. When he swung up, he lifted himself in the air with the Kunai on his right. Tenzin bobbed under a knife slash that would have hit him otherwise. He used that momentum and pushed his left hand upwards to grab the man's arm holding the knife. The Anbu agent then pushed forward and lunged the Kunai through the chest of the brown haired man impaling the heart completely.

The Brown haired man fell to the ground and as Tenzin turned around he could see the other man was killed too. The Aisu Agent released his jutsu completely and the three made their way back from where they came from. In the corridor they came from, they found another smaller hall to the right that had a ladder set up. Tenzin reached out to Yoru to make sure everything was going alright "We will be there shortly, how are you holding up?" After muttering those words, Tenzin took the lead up the ladder only to see a latch. He kept the Kunai in his right hand as he opened it up and realized it was behind the bar. The other shinobi followed.

The Commander slumped off the bar, his fingers desperately grabbing at the wood trying to keep himself up as he slipped in and out of consciousness. He was so angry at himself for making such a stupid mistake, how could he take his eye off the ball? His first extraction as the Anbu Commander and he may die, all to a lower-class shinobi. All because he’d underestimated his enemy. If he managed to survive he could never let this happen again.

His desperate grasp, slipped falling off the bar and onto the ground.

Yoru’s hand trembled as he edged towards the fuuin on his neck, desperately trying to active it. His finger tip pressed against his neck leaving lines of blood as it fell down to his side, rasps of heavy breathing gasped out of his mouth, the wheeze could be heard from his chest. There was very little else Yoru could do now but wait and grasp on for his life.

Tenzin looked over and saw Yoru, bleeding and injured. With haste, Tenzin moved to hold him up and motioned for the other two to leave the bar. As they left, Tenzin looked at the Awai Anbu member. "Send a light out in the air, to signal both parties that it is time." This was to indicate that the mission was successful and for the other agents to head back home along with giving the troops from Konoha an understanding that they could move in with no problem. While the shinobi was weaving hand signs they marched forward. Tenzin whispered into Yoru's ear "I can heal you when we get some cover in the forest. Also, we need to talk when we get back. We have a rat problem" As Tenzin finished his sentence the Awai Anbu member shot a ray of light straight into the air. Although it would be alarming to some citizens, before they could truly figure out what was going on it would be far too late.

The shinobi and the team headed to the forest to heal up, get collected, and head back to Konoha. The hard part was completed, now was the time to let the Village Hidden in the Leaves to flex their muscles and bully the town into surrender.
