But something he had noticed since regaining his senses and his body as a whole, was that the same evil sensation that he got from the sealed left arm was also faintly traceable to the ring that he wore upon his right hand currently. Not much had been known about the simple looking ring that he had acquired from a expedition deep into the lost city of Juu no Kuni, but since returning to his body and retaining some of the Demon King's memories he had learned a bit of the ring's history and that there were other weapons that were forged around the same time. At the time they were called the Evil Weapons...
The white-haired monk looking man placed his hands together just as though he was about to pray, gently bowing his head as he unlocked his mind's eye and an invisible sensory bubble gently spread out around him and the entire armory area that he stood within. Nothing...neither his ring nor the arm was giving off any normal chakra signatures. He had to focus, focus on that feeling of evil that he knew all too well lingered within the arm and his ring and even still somewhere deep within himself. He was no longer attempting to find a signature of chakra as the chakra signatures disappeared and instead everything was blank within his mind before two dark ripples appeared, like shadowy flames that were so small they could be blow out by a gentle breeze. "So that is it..."

The user will form hand seals as the air with one meter of the user becomes slightly hazy in appearance, affected by the aspect of Expand Space. The one-meter area surrounding the user on all sides, though it still appears to be one meter, is actually thirty meters worth of space within. This prevents attacks less than thirty meters from reaching the user within the warped bubble of space and provides the user within extra distance to react to attacks. Lasts three posts or until canceled by the user.

Reaching out with each hand he allowed for the highly refined spacetime chakra that was flowing around within his body to be pushed down each arm and into the fingertips of either hand, the refinement needed at the last moment to reflect the element of spacetime that Zao wished to bend under the will of his spatial chakra. 'Extend.' Like a warm blanket the peak form of chakra extended from his hands as he slowly turned in a complete circle allowing the hazy spacetime chakra to envelop a one-meter area in a one-hundred and sixty-degree fashion around the now flowing man. From the outside of the hazy air which circulated around the Bannin, nothing appeared any different for the onlooking spirits that floated around the corners of the man's personal realm. But from the perspective of the shinobi within the dome of spacetime chakra things were just a bit different, to say the least.
Within the dome of hazy looking air, the area around Zao had expanded nearly tenfold, from his perspective the edge of the spacetime barrier was ten meters not one like it would appear to someone from the outside. Inches could make the difference between winning and losing in combat, but what if someone could fluctuate the range by meters instead. Just how much of an advantage could that give the fighter? 'How interesting...'

Shaking his head, the middle-aged man laughed a little to himself, in his impulsiveness he almost went to test a spatial jutsu on his own body...that could have gone wrong, and he already had lost one arm already due to his adventurous nature. Holding out his right hand he pulled one of his straight bladed ninjato swords through space and directly into his hand as there was a tiny disruption in the fabric of space and time just above the palm of the manicured hand before the weapon seemed to instantly appear out of nowhere. "Let's try this first." Holding the blade diagonally out in front of him the shinobi used his free left hand to form a series of one-handed seals now as his body once more glowed in a mesmerizing pale blue hue as the chakra was refined and send down his arm and hand directly into the blade of his personal weapon.
'Expand.' With an unspoken word the man willed the chakra within the blade to expand, changing the very fabric of space that was made up by the dark steel sword. Zao was able to watch as the blade was directly affected by the chakra began to slowly lengthen. If one looked closely, one could see the almost hazy air shimmering around the blade as it grew to around five meters in length, it even caused the shinobi to tilt his head slightly as he was impressed that the expansion wasn't too much that it broke the blade. The fabric of space was truly something one would never fully understand it seemed...

Growing after it leaves the hands of the user growing up to thirty meters in size at [Control] speed. This hazy space of fluctuating spacetime allows objects and people to move through it without resistance until the user's target enters the space. At the user's will the space inside will instantly 'Tighten' as the space attempts to crush whatever is inside with [Control] Strength for the next three posts. The technique itself last for up to five posts.

Being able to expand space itself was intriguing but there was always an opposite in life and the opposite side of expanding space for a spacetime user was the tightening of space. This was something that Zao used more so to be able to quickly cover gaps in distance for surprise attacks or quick retreats for his opponents. Though he wanted to try something new, a different approach on the tightening of space. Exhaling slowly the man circulated his chakra as the same angelic glow flowed around the slender man, his long hair raising up slightly due to the chakra flowing around him as both hands clasped together like he was preparing to pray. Gently the hands were pushed apart as a small shape of hazy chakra filled space was forming, sharp lines began to become visible to the naked eye as the man's own personal will shaped the spacetime chakra into a near perfect cube.
A large boulder was floating about ten meters away caught the man's bright blue eyes, focusing on the stone that was about two meters in width the man pushed out with one hand causing the cube to expand to around five meters in size as the spacetime chakra barrier intercepted the stone, but nothing seemed to happen as the two converged leaving the stone still floating inside the hazy cube. "Tighten..." With a though the man squeezed his hand shut into a tight fist and as though the chakra could understand him the space inside rapidly tightened, attempting to squeeze down to a single tiny point as the force inside began to push down against the stone on all sides. Under the pressure of the shrinking space the rock was crushed down until it could shrink no more...

A curious smile formed on the man's attractive face, perhaps it was possible to use his own art of spacetime to create something of a similar manner, yet he believed that it was very similar to the creation of portals. One hand glowed with shimmer, hazy looking chakra as he slashed his hand diagonally from upper left to the lower right out in the air before him. The very fabric of space was torn as it slowly formed into oval portal through which one could see the sandy desert terrain of Wind country. Opening a portal was one of the first elements of mastering the ability to use Spacetime Ninjutsu. But it had never really occurred to the Spirit Saint that he could alter portals in general, especially attempting to give it some combat utility.
"Let's try this..." Zao spoke aloud to himself as he watched space correct itself and the open portal swirl back out of existence as though it had never been there to begin with. Inhaling the man focused both his spacetime mana and his mind, combining both for the task. Manipulating the chakra within himself the white haired bannin focused his crystal eyes upon a single point just past where the crusted bolder still slowly floated with the man's realm. A tremor of space was seen as a tiny black dot only about the size of a man's fist swirled into reality now, as the dirt and rock before it was pulled into the 'black hole' like portal. Turning his eyes above him, he saw another small black dot that spewed out the rock and debris. "So, it is linked to my realm like a normal portal, intriguing..."

But the Bannin was well versed in the spirit arts, even creating different seals for allowing his puppets to take over a puppet from. Yet, what he was looking for was something a little simpler as he pondered quietly and swept his bright blue eyes back across the spatial realm and his gaze became locked upon the still floating short sword off to his side. 'That should work nicely...' Speaking in his mind the man reached out as a single chakra thread extended from his hand and grabbed the sword reeling it back into the man's right palm now. The set of slender fingers curled gently around the short hilt of the sword now. If his old spirit companions could no longer use their own bodies to help him then he would have to allow for them to use something else instead. The chakra around the man's body once more came to life as one could feel the sheer magnitude of the pool of chakra that laid dormant as he altered his chakra allowing for it to be converted into Tenku chakra as the bright blue chakra shifted to a maroon, red hue.
"My friend Shi, come to me now..." He called out in a soft voice, the injured storm dragon who was up in one of the corners of the man's personal realm lifted its weary looking head in order to gaze down at its master, a slightly confused look in the dragon's eyes that looked down upon the human below him. Suddenly he felt a strong pull on him but because it was from his master, he didn't fight it as the man's chakra washed over him like a warm summer breeze. Zao held up the sword that was glowing with Tenku chakra as strings of the same chakra extended out and latched onto the massive dragon spirit before the entirety of the dragon began to shrink as it was pulled into the sword. The flat side of the blade shown with the engraving of a dragon as Shi was fully absorbed into the sword. "How does it feel?" The old dragon spoke mentally to his master through the blade, "It's different but I don't hurt to move now. I think I might even be able to fight like this." The bannin nodded silently and gripped the blade tightly, his companions were like family and he would do whatever it took to take care of them.
