The old man trudged through the storm, the wind was powerful, whistling as it hit his old frame. The man had wondered for over decade now, simply being. He had no interest in politics or the war that had just passed he simply wished to wander. He knew he didn’t have long left to live and seeing the mountains of Dragon Country was a sight he needed to see before he passed to the other side.

He knew he was putting himself at risk entering a fire country controlled nation, but the views we’re too beautiful for him to miss. Dragging himself up the treacherous rock face, looking out at what appeared to be a dragon that naturally formed in the earth. Breathing heavily, he found himself a comfortable spot and took a seat. Pulling out some cold pork baos from inside a box he kept in his satchel, warming them up in his hand through the heat of his chakra.

The Prince Regent of Dragon’s Breath and Dragon’s Touch, colloquially known as Fire countries Dragon province was settling into his station well. There were trivial matters that came up daily and certainly a great deal of displeasure and inconveniences among the citizens, having Dragon country split between Fire country governed territory and their ancestral ways. But Konoha shinobi and Fire country samurai alike were there in force, centralized around the Shittenou-Jou Ryu palace and the large village that surrounded it, grander in scale than even Konoha.

Maintaining scouts and outposts across the large land was essential with Gold country to worry about to the north or potential threats from the Ocean and Kirigakure from the East or Iwa to their Western Border. Even the South could have seen insurrection groups. As such, when a man with practically glowing red eyes was spotted within the country the reports made it back to Harukatsu Yozei himself, whom was particularly interested in identifying anybody with unique features.

Taking a page out of his father’s book, Yozei decided to investigate personally when his samurai reported accounts of the individual approaching the infamous Mount Daemar, just a few miles outside of the capital city. Much to the opposition of his mother, Yozei departed on a chestnut brown stallion, followed a few minutes later by a group of 5 samurai. Though as they tied their horses up at the base of the mountain, which was more of a large barren hill of about 150 meters in elevation, Yozei instructed the samurai to simply patrol around the base to ensure the old man didn’t slip away. If this man was dangerous or a former shinobi as his unique eyes might indicate then Yozei would be better suited to confront him personally. The wind raged, but for a shinobi it was of little deterrence.

Before ascending the mountain Yozei formed a set of hand seals, covering his body in samurai styled armor, so detailed that from a distance it appeared identical to that of those he traveled with, right down to the helmet and slated plates. His Daisho, two beautifully decorated Katana, rested at his hips. The climb was more difficult than he had expected, rather steep there were many ledges and partial, worn-away walking paths. He even had to pull himself up over small ledges every now and then. Though just as he neared the peak, and felt the greater intensity of the howling winds he performed a set of handseals infusing the ground with his chakra. There was a relatively flat surface along the top, perhaps 30 meters across, maybe a little more. His chakra was able to reach the majority of the area at least, though he had no reason to be immediately hostile. He saw the man sitting near the center, eating some food. One look at the man and he was sure he would be able to tell if he was dangerous or not. But either way he would be prepared to restrain and question the man. Stomping on the ground and entering a solid stance her closed his right hand and twisted slightly, causing the ground to rise up and attempt to wrap around the old man's legs and hold him in place the moment he confirmed the molten-hued eyes for himself.

[Earth Element • Samurai Armor]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Channelling chakra throughout one’s body the user will encase themselves in a semi-malleable full body rock armor. The rock takes on the appearance of an ornate samurai battle armor, complete with a removable helmet as well as shoulder guards. The many tiles overlap and cover his arms, chest and legs utilizing dark brown coloring and a thinner layer of rock between the tiles and along joints. Though the back of his hands are protected the palms and fingers remain bare. This armor forms at a speed of [5] and possesses [50] strength.

After performing the needed hand seals the user places any part of their body onto a body of earth this infuses up to a [1/2 control]m volume of earth to be manipulated with terrakinesis at [50] speed, this infusion lasts until the end of the thread

The Old man didn’t move as the earth beneath his feet poured up from the ground, wrapping around him and keeping him in place. He had no sensory or any reason to know why to move, and it was far too quick for his old body to do anything.

It was clear that he was under attack, he pondered why? Simply for that fact he had walked into the nation. Possible.

He squinted as he looked around making out a figure in the distance, weaving a flurry of seals as he did “You shouldn’t go around attack old men!” he scoffed as hot lava dripped from his body, ripping through the earth beneath his feet allowing the old man to stand up. Heat eradiated from him making it difficult for anyone to even get in close.

Placing his staff on the ground he used it to drag himself up from his seated position, allowing it to take all of his way, seeing what the young dragon prince would do next.

*Youton • Radiative Presence
S-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing a string of hand seals, the user floods their body with Youton chakra, causing their body to give off a slight glow like lava as the chakra seeps from their pores. The user will radiate intense heat from their body, causing anyone within 30 meters of their body to experience first degree burns, anyone within 20 meters to experience second degree burns, and anyone within 10 meters to experience third degree burns. Likewise, anything they touch will experience fourth degree burns and any material they touch will turn to slag at their touch unless reinforced by another’s chakra. This jutsu has a duration of nine posts.

Yozei knew the moment the man began forming seals that his instincts were right. He only knew of two clan’s that had eyes like his; The Enkouten and the HIzashi. If it was the former, then he was from an enemy nation and he wasn’t about to take any chances about whether he was retired or a rogue shinobi. However, if he was a retired Hizashi that would be more complicated. When the aura of lava surrounded his body and turned the earth into slag, he had his answer. The heat caused any small bits of exposed skin to be singed and lightly burned, it was clear getting close was not a good option but fortunately Yozei was most proficient from a distance. “I’m sorry, but you’re too valuable to be left alone” he stated in response, forming a set of hand seals as he manifested a whip made of fire around his right hand, lashing it out with 35 Strength and Speed in an attempt the wrap around the old man’s wrist and interrupt him from performing further hand seals, though likely he would have a chance to at least get off an attack or attempt to flee. Whatever lava attacks might come at him, Yozei was prepared to interrupt with his Terrakinesis.

[Katon • Flame Whip]
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Channelling chakra into his hand Yozei will manifest a 5-meter long whip of flames that can extend to a maximum length of 40 meters, expanding and retracting at will. The user’s hand will be protected from the flames of the whip which maintains a strength equal to the users control and can be controlled to a limited extent, able to freely wrap around limbs or objects as well as strike out with speed equal to the user’s control. This jutsu lasts for 5 posts and is capable of leaving deep gashes in solid objects, cauterizing wounds, and burning through most materials as well as spreading flames in the wake of each strike.

The old man laughed loudly as Yozei seemed to suggest that Sei was valuable, “Far from it boy, I’m not worth a penny!” The whip flung towards Sei, who moved up his staff where his wrist should allowing for it to wrap around that instead, snapping it in the process and falling to the ground.

It would give Sei at least a little time to get out of here, he had no reason to fight the boy. Simply run.

But he was so old and didn’t have much speed to work with.

Hobbling down the rock face, weaving hand seals as he went. The ground beneath him was infused with his own chakra, if Yozei continued to chase him chains would erupt and wrap around the boy hopefully giving Sei enough time to escape.

*Youton • Bound & Chained
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing a string of hand seals, the user infuses the ground beneath them with Youton chakra, covering a 40 meter area with the user at the center of this area. If anyone other than the user steps into this area the trap is triggered and Youton lava in the form of chains erupt from the ground at a strength and speed equal to the control stat of the user to attempt to wrap around and bind the target at the wrists and ankles. Contact with these Youton chains causes burns, severity strength of the burns is determined by the user's control stat, this lava hardens after five posts and becomes brittle.

It was clear that he wouldn’t be able to talk the man into coming in quietly, he was simply too strong and stubborn. And so, he wouldn’t get himself killed showing restraint against an old man. He was a Jounin after all, he knew when he needed to fight. His whip sliced through the man’s staff, giving him time to turn away and attempt to retreat, though with a flick of his wrist Yozei would be able to send the whip lashing across the man’s back with the same 35 Strength and Speed. He didn’t expect that alone to be enough to bring the man down but he was sure it would at least hurt and maybe slow him down even further. Assuming the aura of heat didn’t grant him any physical protection at least.

Instead of chasing after him directly, Yozei manipulated his chakra, stomping his foot as he created a jutting spike of rock under him through Terrakinesis, moving himself along it with 25 speed in order to get an angle above the man, about 10 meters into the air. Though the chains of lava were a surprise, he hadn’t expected the man to be able to turn the ground into lava while his own chakra was infused into it. Likely this meant the man’s chakra control was at least equal to his own. He hadn’t encountered anyone else with such mastery of chakra since the Kazekage; Henrin Kiyori.

Twisting his feet and lowering his stance he moved his arm upright in a blocking fashion, manipulating the slab of earth beneath him to protrude outward from him in all directions, forming a sort of V around him that would intercept the chains. Though he had only barely been able to react in time, fortunately able to match the old man’s speed of chakra manipulation at least. And having his doton chakra already infused gave him a distinct edge. Standing on only a 1 meter diameter piece of stone he lifted it under him ascending himself into the sky and riding the platform while maintaining a low stance and subtle twists of his hands and arms.

He would keep at a distance of 25 meters away from his target, and about 15 meters in the air, giving him a clear vantage point even as the man dipped over the ledge. Next Yozei would inhale deeply as he focused a large amount of chakra. He would have to go all out and put an end to this quick if the man was intent on trying to escape. Exhaling he would release a massive dragon of fire that would move at 50 speed and burn with 35 Strength. The entire mountainside would be engulfed in roaring flames as he focused on manipulated the Dragon to swallow up his target and bathe them in fire no matter where they moved. Though as he focused on controlling the Dragon of fire he would begin to fall from the sky. Fortunately his stone armor helped protect him from the heat somewhat but he could already feel himself sweating profusely and burning across every area of exposed skin from the close proximity to his own fires heat in addition to the man’s aura.

Having achieved notable mastery over Doton, the user is capable of shaping, directing, and manipulating existing bodies of the element without the need of hand seals or an existing technique. The range at which the user can manipulate the element is equal to the user's control times 2 metres. While the user can freely manipulate this element, they cannot produce the element naturally.

Katon • The All-Consuming Dragon Fire
A-Rank Ninjutsu
A devastating technique capable of decimating landscapes and suppressing powerful foes, the all-consuming dragon fire is initiated by channeling a large amount of chakra, culminating in Yozei’s chest. Exhaling, the jutsu will manifest as a dragon shaped torrent of fire. This winged dragon extends up to 50 meters in length, though can be created smaller and grown into its full size. The dragon is fully controlled by the user so long as they maintain focus, lasting for up to 8 posts. The dragon can move up to 65 meters away from the user, extended by higher control. The dragon moves at a speed and strikes and burns with a strength equal to the users control.

Yozei’s Dragon of flame engulfed the old man, a cry of pain rang out and through the raging flames he saw the old man’s aura dissipate. A few more moments and Yozei waved his arms downward, dispersing the flames before stomping the ground and pulling his arms in smothering the fires with churning earth. So too did he bind the man’s arms and legs with stone before approaching to find the old man was charred and burned across most of his body, but still he was breathing.

The young Prince looked on at what he had done. He had hoped it wouldn’t have had to come to that, it seemed unlikely the man would survive but he still contained valuable secrets within his body. Yozei intended to secure that bloodline for himself. He would take the man prisoner and attempt the keep him alive as long as possible, bringing him back to secure in the dungeons of the palace. Medics would attempt to stabilize him until someone of suitable skill arrived to see what could be salvaged of his body. But nobody would be informed the type of skill he possessed, to everyone else he was simply an unnamed prisoner.
