Waterfall Madness [Solo Training Thread]

Post by Texas » Mon Jun 27, 2022 3:27 pm

"You know... we didn't have to travel all the way here just to learn how to swing a sword. We could have just found someone in the village...." Seiji proclaimed as we swung his hair up from a small body of water where he was washing his head. The shinobi himself was not all too thrilled to be tasked with joining Tenzin in his traveling endeavors.

As Tenzin was keeping watch, he shifted his attention slightly at the dark haired shinobi and gave a slight smile. "You see Seiji, the fact that you think like that is exactly why we are out here!" At the moment he shouted out here, he lifted his arms up in the air as if to indicate he meant the world as a whole. After showing some excitement, his arms fell back into place on his sides. After the slight attempt at showmanship, the Anbu Captain continued on with his lecture to his new comrade. "We are here for more reasons than to just learn and train. We are here to learn more about the world through our own views. There is only so much you can get from books. I prefer to be a part of this world during its peaceful time than seeing it through the lens of war." A pretty glaring hint that the Great Shinobi War took a slight mental toll on the young lad. Although the battles and war was inevitable, he wanted to make a point to enjoy a post war world without too much conflict... at least in retrospect.

"Yeah yeah, alright where are we heading to now again?" Seiji asked as he stood up and faced Tenzin. The boy placed his hands in his pockets taking a more relaxed position.

Tenzin shifted his attention back towards where he was looking out before. At this point he could see the training dojo from where they were. The shinobi also could see the small town that was below the Dojo. There was an inn he had heard of that they would be staying at. "Whelp, we are close to the village. After we get there we will check into the Inn and do our separate things in the village. You are still training, so I would like you to work on your Fuuinjutsu and your secret technique. At night when we get back, you can ask me any questions regarding what you have trained." Tenzin stiffened up and started his walk. Naturally, Seiji put a pep in his step to catch up and walk the same pace to the right of Tenzin.

Kūgāpou Style

This taijutsu style is all about avoidance, with grace. In this style, the user may slap away blades, thrown weapons, and other objects, all in the interests of preserving one's self. However, this style isn't necessarily about avoiding all damage, so much as avoiding the worst damage. In instances where the user is going against an opponent they can't match, they may use this style to avoid fatal injuries and instead receive less serious injuries and live to fight a bit longer, or even another day.

Requires: [Deft Hands] & [Perception]

D-Rank Taijutsu
*Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Soft Paws is a bare-handed deflection technique and is used against bladed weapons. At this level, the practitioner is able to read the angles of the attacks to place the flat of their hand against the flat of the blade and push it away without getting cut by the weapon. However, prolonged use of this technique will cause the practitioner to suffer bruises on their hands.

*Kūgāpou • Soft Elbow
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
After using Soft Paws to slap a blade away, the practitioner will continue moving forwards while jutting out their elbow. The momentum from the target's original attack that was slapped away, coupled with the sudden defenselessness of the target after having their attack deflected, makes for a powerful counter-attack. The elbow can be aimed anywhere on the torso and above, but is usually aimed at the target's face.

*Kūgāpou • Down Paw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the practitioner, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This can either cause the sword to miss or, if the practitioner's Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack, can force the sword into the ground. This technique only works on blades that aren't double-edged.

*Kūgāpou • Down Rush
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Down Paw
After using Down Paw to drive the opponent’s blade downward or into the ground, the practitioner will rush forward and ram their shoulder into the opponent, driving them back and away from their weapon or even taking the weapon from them outright.

*Kūgāpou • Slight Dodge
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever in a situation where they can't avoid being struck, the practitioner will slightly shift their body. This slight movement allows them to cause the incoming attack to miss any vital organs and cause as little damage as possible.

C-Rank Taijutsu
*Kūgāpou • Quick Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Useful for dealing with an opponent using a short weapon, such as a kunai, knife, or dagger, the practitioner waits for the opponent to attack. Taking advantage of the small size of the weapon, the practitioner then aims a slap or a punch at the opponent's fingers, aiming to simultaneously push the weapon off its trajectory and damage or even crush the opponent's fingers.

*Kūgāpou • Leveraged Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner will sidestep a weapon attack against them and attempt to disarm the opponent. They will grab and pull the weapon on a safe or dull spot before simultaneously slamming the other palm into the opponent's wrist. If the opponent has a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique, they can resist being disarmed. Otherwise, the weapon is ripped from the opponent's grasp and their hand is knocked away. Their wrist will swell from the impact, making handling weapons in that hand difficult if the wrist isn't outright broken due to the practitioner having a higher Strength than the opponent.

*Kūgāpou • Hunter's Prediction
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
By observing a weapon's movement through the air and having a deep understanding of weaponry in general, the practitioner is capable of predicting a weapon's trajectory. This technique is especially effective when the practitioner saw the actual moment the weapon was launched, as seeing the movement of the weapon wielder provides crucial information. If they didn't see the weapon being launched, they can still predict the trajectory to a smaller degree but are incapable of accounting for high-level taijutsu that may be applied to the weapon attack.

*Kūgāpou • Intercept Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner catches an attacking weapon with both hands and halts its momentum. Once they have stopped the motion of the attack, the practitioner will wrench their hands in a single direction to deflect the weapon or even rip the weapon out of the opponent's hands. Opponents with a higher Strength than the practitioner's Strength can resist being disarmed.

*Kūgāpou • Spun Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Ducking under an attack from either side, the practitioner lifts their off-hand just enough to touch the weapon against its side and shove it outward, adding to its momentum to either imbalance the opponent or disarm them. As the practitioner comes up from under the attack, they will aim a direct punch at the opponent's face or chest.

B-Rank Taijutsu
*Kūgāpou • Calculated Paw
B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paw
When fighting multiple enemies, the user has learned to use Soft Paw as more than just an evasive technique. When a bladed weapon is incoming, they perform a very calculated Soft Paw which allows them to change the trajectory of the bladed weapon to where they desire. Meaning that they are able to not only avoid the strike, but aim it elsewhere so that it may go on to strike other people around them, or perhaps to do some other beneficial action.

*Kūgāpou • Rapid Paw
B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
When dealing with projectile weapons, the practitioner pushes their reflexes and their physical abilities to the limit. The practitioner attempts to rapidly catch the incoming projectile weapons, grabbing them where they will not hurt them. If successful, they can either keep the weapons for future use or they may simply move the weapons so that they're no longer a threat.

*Kūgāpou • Return Fang
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Intercepting an opponent's weapon attack, the practitioner will catch the opponent's hands in their own, turning the direction of the weapon back towards the target and impaling them with it. Opponents with a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their weapon turned on them.

A-Rank Taijutsu
*Kūgāpou • Sly Paw
A-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Rapid Paw
When dealing with projectile weapons, the practitioner may use this technique as a counter or simply as a defense when there are too many projectiles to defend against with Rapid Paw. By rapidly swatting at the incoming projectiles just enough to alter their trajectories, the practitioner can defend against multiple weapons. Each time the practitioner hits these weapons, they may alter their trajectories in very specific ways, allowing them slight control over their new angles so that they may actually help the practitioner instead of hurting them.

*Kūgāpou • Multiply Fang
A-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Sly Paw & *Kūgāpou • Spun Fang
Having come so close to the pinnacle of the style, the practitioner has trained themselves to apply multiple techniques of Kūgāpou when fighting multiple foes. They may take up a position among multiple opponents in which they are able to push away projectiles or other weapons as they fight, reacting on instinct to stay alive. This technique also allows the practitioner to fully stop and negate weapon attacks launched at them if their Strength is equal or higher than the Strength of the attack in question.

S-Rank Taijutsu
*Kūgāpou • Diversity in Paw
S-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Multiply Fang & *Kūgāpou • Return Fang
Having achieved the pinnacle of the style and of discipline within the style, the practitioner is able to expand on other Kūgāpou techniques. When fighting multiple opponents, they are able to position themselves to easily deflect projectiles, slap other weapons away, and with proper timing, redirect their opponents' attacks and weapons and turn them on targets the practitioner chooses, even while the opponents still hold the weapons in their own hands. A true master of the style is death even to a group of enemies that think the master is surrounded.
Yoshin StyleShow

Yoshin Kenjutsu

Waterfall Country's samurai are the creators of Yoshin, a style of Kenjutsu honing one's precision to strike more precisely than any needle or arrow at the enemy's inherent weaknesses. The human body is full of natural weak spots and vulnerabilities, and Yoshin takes full advantage of those weaknesses in combat with calculated, precise, intelligent strikes and thrusts to cripple and cut down their opponent. Common joints, unseen nerve endings and nerve clusters, critical tendons and muscle groups, and even vital organs are all fair game to the users of Yoshin. The precision required for this style causes most users of its techniques to prefer short blades such as kodachi and wakizashi, often with serrated edges to maximize damage on the blade exiting the wound, though katana can still be used with this style.

Requires: [Deft Hands], [Sword Weapons], [Medicine] Concentrations.

D-Rank Kenjutsu
*[Yoshin • Prey's Anatomy]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Detailed knowledge of the human body's vulnerabilities and weaknesses are fundamental to learning Yoshin. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge of the precise location of all major organs, tendons, blood vessels, and nerve clusters on both their body and the opponent's body. This allows the practitioner to accurately target those areas even in the heat of combat.

*[Yoshin • Ambidexterity]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize both hands equally and as effectively without any penalty. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.

*[Yoshin • Hidden Trap]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
After taking the opponent's side either offensively or after evading an attack, the practitioner draws a quick, firm slash across the opponent's side, such as their oblique, rib cage, or arm. The attack is intended to both injure and startle the opponent, often used to disrupt an opponent's attack or sequence of attacks with the severity of the damage. A unique attack within Yoshin, this particular technique is meant to dig as deeply into the opponent and create cuts as wide as possible, many times slashing into bones to cause as much long term damage as possible. The depth and width of the cut can also cause serious blood loss over time. Opponents with an Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank can limit the amount of damage this technique causes.

*[Yoshin • Track the Prey]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A somewhat risky technique, the practitioner steps in aggressively for a split moment as a feint. The offensive nature of this feint is meant to prompt the opponent to reflexively block or dodge. The practitioner then follows this dodge and attacks the opponent with a slash or thrust, typically targeting a specific tendon, organ, joint, or nerve cluster.

*[Yoshin • Break the Antlers]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
With a very quick snapping slash or thrust, the practitioner attacks the back of the opponent's weapon-wielding hand or hands. Opponents hit by this technique must have an Endurance equal to or higher than the practitioner's Speed to avoid being disarmed or losing the use of the affected hand until the end of their next post. This technique is only useful for short term debilitation of the hands and cannot cause any significant long term damage on its own.

*[Yoshin • Whip Snare]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Forgoing the typical practice of aiming one's blows to do the most critical damage possible, the practitioner instead lashes out at the opponent with a quick snapping slash or thrust. If the attack lands, the practitioner curves and angles the edge of their blade along the cut, making a shallower, irregular cut. While these cuts rarely cause any serious damage on their own, the nature of the cut not only make them difficult to mend or stitch, they also contribute to significant blood loss over time and are incredibly painful for the opponent. This can make moving and executing techniques more difficult for an opponent hit by this technique unless they have an Endurance equal to or higher than the practitioner's Speed.

*[Yoshin • Glancing Arrow]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Aiming to hinder the opponent's mobility, the practitioner launches a quick snapping slash or thrust at the side of one of the opponent's knees, damaging the tendon and causing the muscles in the joint to flare up. Aside from causing significant pain, an opponent hit by this technique will not be able to fully support their weight on the targeted leg, hindering their mobility and creating additional openings for the practitioner to exploit unless they have an Endurance equal to or higher than the practitioner's Speed.

*[Yoshin • Burrowed Arrowhead]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Yoshin • Prey's Anatomy]
Looking to cause the opponent as much pain as possible with minimal energy or effort, the practitioner launches a quickly snapping thrust meant to slip through the ribcage and lightly cut the outside of one of the opponent's lungs. Aside from causing significant pain, an opponent hit by this technique will have difficulty breathing, causing future techniques they use to take up more Endurance due to oxygen deprivation.

C-Rank Kenjutsu
*[Yoshin • Skinning the Corpse]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Yoshin • Prey's Anatomy].
Exceptional Yoshin practitioners move beyond the basic knowledge of the body and delve more deeply into the study of the body. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge of the precise location of all major and minor joints and tendons and all smaller nerve clusters on both their body and the opponent's body. This allows the practitioner to accurately target those areas even in the heat of combat.

*[Yoshin • Cripple the Paw]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Moving in close to the opponent, the practitioner launches a series of quick, snapping slashes and thrusts to the opponent's hands, causing deep lacerations. These cuts damage the tendons in the opponent's hands, interfering with their dexterity. These cuts cover sensitive areas between the fingers, knuckle joints, or even potentially under fingernails. While the damage caused by this technique is not life-threatening, it imposes a persisting -3 Endurance penalty on the opponent, as well as making it incredibly painful, if not impossible, for the opponent to wield a weapon with their hand or hands. This penalty can be lifted if the opponent receives medical attention.

*[Yoshin • Shatter the Hoof]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A technique to disarm opponents, the practitioner launches a snapping slash or thrust at the opponent's forearm, severing several key tendons in the forearm. The damage caused to the muscles and tendons in the forearm by this technique can cause an opponent to drop whatever they are holding. Aside from being disarmed and causing significant pain, this technique also imposes a persisting -3 Strength penalty on the opponent due to the damage the muscles have sustained. This penalty can be lifted if the opponent receives medical attention.

*[Yoshin • Bear Trap]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Dropping low to the ground, the practitioner launches a quick, wide slash to the front of the opponent's shins. The cut targets a long nerve across the front of the shin which, if cut, can restrict the opponent's movements. Considering the size of the nerve being targeted and the relatively thin skin covering it, even cuts that only graze these nerves can be effective. Aside from causing significant pain, this technique also imposes a persisting -3 Speed penalty on the opponent due to movement of the legs becoming more difficult. This penalty can be lifted if the opponent receives medical attention.

*[Yoshin • Incurvate Arrow]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Targeting the opponents torso and abdomen, the practitioner launches a series of quick snapping slashes. These lashes produce a series of evenly spaced cuts across the target's abdomen and torso. While these cuts are not life-threatening, the damaged muscles prohibit the opponent from fully drawing strength from their core and back into their limbs. Aside from causing significant pain, this technique also imposes a persisting -3 Endurance penalty on the opponent due to the damage the muscles have sustained. This penalty can be lifted if the opponent receives medical attention.

*[Yoshin • Sever the Tendon]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Dropping low to the ground and hooking their blade around the back of an opponent's ankle, the practitioner draws a heavy slash against the ankle's tendon, immediately causing a jolt of intense pain. The pain causes even the slightest step to send shocks of pain through the nerve. Aside from causing significant pain, this technique also imposes a persisting -3 Speed penalty on the opponent due to being unable to place weight upon the foot. This penalty can be lifted if the opponent receives medical attention.

B-Rank Kenjutsu
*[Yoshin • Field Dressing]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Yoshin • Skinning the Corpse].
The practitioner of Yoshin further enhances their knowledge of the human body. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge of the precise location of all joints, tendons, and nerve points on both their body and the opponent's body. This allows the practitioner to accurately target those areas even in the heat of combat.

*[Yoshin • Mercy Kill]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A unique attack in Yoshin, the practitioner strikes the opponent’s temple with their fist, elbow, or the pommel of their sword’s hilt. The nerve cluster in the temple being struck sends a jolt of intense pain through the opponent’s brain and body, causing severe disorientation, uncontrollable shaking, and severe blurring and distortion of the opponent’s vision. The opponent suffers a -3 penalty to their Endurance and a -3 penalty to their Speed for four posts as the brain must recover from the shock unless the opponent has a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique.

*[Yoshin • Poison Arrow]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Yoshin • Field Dressing].
Aiming to target an opponent's sensitive nerve points or nerve clusters, the practitioner launches a series of quick slashes and thrusts at wildly alternating points of the opponent's body, making this technique difficult to defend against while not compromising the practitioner's own defenses. Common targets for this technique are the front of the shoulders, underneath the armpits, the solar plexus, the forearms, and the thighs. Striking any one of these nerve clusters will send a violent shock of pain through the opponent, temporarily overloading their nervous system and causing paralysis. The opponent must have a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique to resist this paralysis. Otherwise, the opponent is paralyzed until the end of their next post.

*[Yoshin • Rending the Joint]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Useful both as a counterattack and as a technique on its own, the practitioner targets the weak point of a joint on their opponent’s body, such as under the shoulders through the armpit, into the elbow from the crook inside the arms, or behind the knees, and violently thrusts their sword through it, destroying the functioning tendons, muscles, and cartilage of the joint, potentially even ripping the affected bones from their sockets unless the opponent has a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. The damage caused by this technique is often permanent if the opponent does not seek highly skilled medical treatment.

*[Yoshin • Bleed the Carcass]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Useful as a counterattack or as an attack all on its own, the practitioner momentarily torques the muscles in their arms before unleashing a violent flurry of slashes and thrusts. Aiming for various major veins and arteries on the body, this technique can be difficult to completely defend against as it targets multiple vastly different areas of the opponent’s body in the span of a single attack. Even one of these attacks landing can penetrate deep into the opponent’s flesh, puncturing or ripping open a major artery or vein, quickly leading to life-threatening blood loss unless the opponent has a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Multiple hits scored by this technique can cause an opponent to bleed out in a manner of minutes unless they seek immediate medical attention.

A-Rank Kenjutsu
*[Yoshin • Great Serpent's Gaze]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Yoshin • Field Dressing].
The practitioner of Yoshin has attained a knowledge of the human body that rivals even the world's finest doctors. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge of the human anatomy in its entirety, including every single point of vulnerability, and they are able to instantly locate and target those areas both on their bodies and their opponents' bodies whenever they so wish. This allows the practitioner to accurately strike even the most minute of target areas in the heat of combat.

*[Yoshin • Great Serpent's Constriction]
A Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Yoshin • Field Dressing].
Using their intimate knowledge of the human anatomy to their advantage, the practitioner will attack an opponent on a seemingly innocuous part of their body, such as a pinpoint slash or thrust to the hand or the top of the thigh, aiming for a highly sensitive nerve point in that area of the opponent's body. The cut or slash itself does almost no damage to the opponent's flesh, but as the tip or edge of the blade makes contact, the practitioner will twist and put pressure on the nerve point, sending a violent shock through the opponent's body. Opponents with a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank will be able to resist any adverse affects from this technique aside from the pain. Otherwise, the opponent is suddenly and immediately paralyzed, interrupting any action they were presently executing and instantaneously freezing their muscles. This paralysis lasts for three posts.

*[Yoshin • Great Serpent's Venom]
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 30 Speed.
Momentarily torquing every muscle in their body, the practitioner launches a flurry of slashes and strikes aiming for various vital arteries, veins, and organs. The incisions caused by this technique are so incredibly precise that, while at rest, an opponent affected by this technique will not lose much blood at all. However, should said opponent afflicted by this technique overuse their muscles (exerting more than 15 Strength in any action or utilizing more than 15 Speed in any action), large gouts of blood will spray and pour from their wounds. For each instance in which the afflicted opponent exceeds either of the pre-stated limits, they will suffer a -3 Endurance penalty. These penalties will trigger and stack each time the afflicted opponent exceeds the limits imposed by this technique, and the effect persists until the opponent receives medical attention.

*[Yoshin • Crushing Grip of the Great Serpent]
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 35 Speed.
A technique designed to utterly maim and debilitate one's opponent, the practitioner will launch a flurry of strikes, all targeting key muscle groupings, tendons, joints, and gaps in the skeletal structure such as the ribs and spine. As the strikes make contact and sink into the opponent's flesh, the practitioner will violently twist the blade upon entry and upon exit. The violent twist will cause miniature air pockets to form and violently expand in the wound with a Strength equal to half of the practitioner's Strength stat, rounded down. These air pockets worsen the damage and bleeding, rendering the affected parts of the body and any parts of the body directly connected to them immobile and paralyzed unless the opponent has a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique that protects bones, muscles, or skin against damage. For example, a blow to the shoulder would render the entire arm below it limp, and a blow to the spine would render anything below the affected vertebrae paralyzed. This paralysis is permanent until the opponent seeks highly skilled medical attention.

S-Rank Kenjutsu
*[Yoshin Ougi • The Hunt is On]
S-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite(s): 39 Speed, must be trained in the Waterfall Country Dojo or from someone who has trained there, 10 *Yoshin Kenjutsu techniques.
Closing their eyes for half a second, the practitioner clears their thoughts of all distractions and focuses on a single goal or task, usually combat and the opponent. While in this state, the practitioner can unnaturally twist, bend, and shift their body around the opponent's attacks, seeming to move like an animal as they painlessly and seamlessly contort their bodies, even to the point of freely dislocating and relocating joints on command. The practitioner also gains the ability to reflexively shift all internal organs, blood vessels, and nerve points and nerve clusters on their body to avoid serious damage and minimize pain they receive upon taking an enemy attack or upon quickly shifting any part of their personal anatomy. Additionally, the practitioner gains the ability to immediately start healing wounds they receive, cutting the blood loss in half and healing at an enhanced rate while in this Stance. This Stance can be maintained for an indefinite period of time.

D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
*Charge Fuuinjutsu • Air Seal
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
A truly unique move in that it can be used alongside other Fuuinjutsu, by channeling into their finger as they draw in the air directly in front of them, the user releases raw chakra the lingers for a small amount of time, allowing it to be used as a seal formula. Alternatively the user can also do hand seals and place their hands forward, causing a seal to burst to life in the air in front of them. This technique consumes chakra equal to the cost of the technique.

*Fuuinjutsu • Removal
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will hold their hand over a seal, and begin to remove it. This removal will be successful as long as the user has more [Control] than that of which the Fuuinjutsu was sealed with.

*Storage Fuuinjutsu • Tool Storage
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After drawing a seal formula on a surface, ensuring it is large enough for the object that is about to be stored. The user will then begin placing the object into the seal. The user can only seal objects up to their ([Control]*2)m^3 in size.

*Force Fuuinjutsu • Explosive Tag
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After drawing a ([Control]/5)x([Control]/5) meter seal formula on a surface of an object. The user will then arm it with their chakra up to [Control] strength with a concussive force explosion outwards from itself.

*Storage Fuuinjutsu • Sealing Defense
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
By having an empty surface with a seal formula placed on it, the user is able to use the seal as a defensive measure. Holding a single, one-handed hand seal, the user attempts to block the incoming projectile with the surface. Right before contact is actually made, the projectile will be sealed into the seal. While strong, the seal must be the same size or larger than the projectile it is attempting to seal. This seal can protect up to the user’s [Control] in Strength. Once used to seal and then release again, the seal will need to be rewritten. The user can only seal objects up to their ([Control]*2)m^3 in size.

*Charge Fuuinjutsu • Barrier Trap
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After placing four barrier tags in a square, the user draws a line connecting each of the tags. When kai'd, all the tags are set off simultaneously throwing up a barrier at a strength and speed of the user’s [Control]. This barrier lasts for 4 posts.

C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
*Force Fuuinjutsu • Fiery Capped Grenade
C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: Katon
After drawing a ([Control]/5)x([Control]/5) meter seal formula on a surface of an object. The user will then arm it with their chakra up to [Control] strength with a fiery Katon fueled explosion outwards from itself.

*Storage Fuuinjutsu • Storage Strike
C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
Used in conjunction with storage seals, the user forms the needed hand seals then touches the storage seal causing it to release up to three of the objects stored in it simultaneously, as if they were thrown at a strength of the user’s [Control]. The three objects will be released in a small spread, only a few inches apart from each other.

*Storage Fuuinjutsu • Depth Seal
C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After drawing a seal of appropriate size for the object but no larger than 1 meter, the user is able to store things at depth within this seal to near limitless lengths. The user is able to store up to [Control]/2 of the same item within this seal regardless of the depth of the surface.

*Augment Fuuinjutsu • Secret Seal
C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will chant off a list of words, then they’ll then touch the target’s tongue as the seal forms on it. As long as the seal remains on the target's tongue, their ability to speak those words is removed.

*Augment Fuuinjutsu • Strengthen and Enhance
C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
After drawing the necessary seals on the object, the user will imbue the object with a strength equal to their [Control]. The size of this fuuinjutsu is contextual in terms of the object it is applied to and the strength it is enhanced to. For example, if imbued with 50 strength the object will have 90% of its surface space covered, while if only imbued with 25 strength roughly under half of its surface space would be taken up by the seal.

*Augment Fuuinjutsu • Link
C-Rank Fuuinjutsu
By performing the necessary hand seals, the user will then touch their target’s ear and on the lips, this creates an audio link between themselves and any targets they personally place this seal combination on. While hearing is always active, channeling chakra into the seal allows affected targets to speak, their words being stored and transmitted to the other seals. The act of speaking charges negligent chakra.

B-Rank Fuuinjutsu
*Force Fuuinjutsu • Explosive Reversal
B-Rank Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *Charge Fuuinjutsu • Air Seal
After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will create two seals in the air with raw chakra in size equal to the user's ([Control]/5)x([Control]/5) in meters in-front of each hand. This seal will be able to withstand a strength equal to the user's [Control] taking explosive strength in one seal, and expanding it back out the other seal effectively sling shotting the attack back in whichever direction the seal is pointed.

*Augment Fuuinjutsu • Mute
B-Rank Fuuinjutsu
The user will perform the necessary hand seals then touch their target, a 10x10 inch seal on their target will form, completely removing their ability to speak until the seal is removed or deactivated.

*Charge Fuuinjutsu • Binding Wires

After drawing a seal formula in an area of desired size. If anything steps within the area of the seal it will trigger this seal formula to grow and shoot off of it's surface at a speed and strength of the user’s [Control]. After three posts the seal runs out of energy and fades allowing the target to move once more.

*Charge Fuuinjutsu • Scarlet Fever

The user will perform the necessary hand seals, as they then touch the ground a [Control] meter box appearing around them with a seal in each corner. Once activated, the jutsu will create a perimeter. Within the perimeter, no one is able to hear or see anything, and is completely unable to talk. Exiting the perimeter immediately returns these senses, however. This perimeter remains in place for 10 posts, but destroying one of the seals will deactivate it.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will focus chakra into their mouths and into up to five senbon within 10 meters of their position. The senbon will be summoned from their persons or nearby into the user's mouth, where they will be spit out aided by chakra at [Control] Strength and Speed. The senbon can be shot up to 10 meters away.

*[Ninjutsu • Chakra Burst]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra into one of their fists, the user will then attempt to strike their target and if successful, they will release additional concussive force in the form of an outward explosion with [Control] Strength from their fist. If the user does not strike a target within 3 posts the jutsu dissipates.

*[Ninjutsu • Tracking Device]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will coat one of their hairs in chakra. Once this has been done, they will place it on their target. The user can track the exact location of the strand of hair for up to 10 meters. For up to 20 meters out, the user can track a rough location. From then out to 100 meters, the user just gets a general direction of where the opponent is. The chakra in the hair will dissipate at the end of 6 posts.

*[Ninjutsu • Wall]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user causes a thin 3x3x1 meter flat barrier to form within 10 meters of them at [Control] Speed and has [Control] Strength. It lasts for 3 posts.

[Ninjutsu • Chakra Ball]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user places one of their hands in the air. Chakra forms at the size of a baseball and lifts in the air. It raises directly above the user up to 12 meters. The ball of chakra is pure in form and simply shines like light above their head. The ball has a strength equal to the user's control and forms at the speed of the user's control. This jutsu is utilized to create a blue-ish form of light. It can be used as a signal, to see in a dark area, or to be utilized with other techniques especially involving shadows. This jutsu lasts for control/2.

An advanced form of the Transformation Technique, after performing the correct hand seals and holding the final one temporarily, the user will coat and mold chakra around their body into the shape and form of something or someone which is no more than twice their size. This technique's true advantage is that the disguise is given physical substance. This means, for example, if they transform into something with claws, they will have claws that can physically be used. For the disguises 5 post duration, if it is damaged by a hit of more than [Control] Strength, the disguise "poofs" from existence. This includes collateral damage caused by striking an opponent that may occur to the disguise.

*[Ninjutsu • Barrier]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user forms a 5x5x5m barrier around a target up to 25m away from their position. The barrier forms at [Control] Speed, has [Control] Strength, and lasts 4 posts before fading away.

*[Ninjutsu • Rattrap]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will imbue an item with their chakra that is no larger than a basketball. The next thing to touch the object within 3 posts will feel the chakra lurch off the object, surging into their body and overwhelming them. For those with less than [Control] Strength they will find themselves immobile for the next 5 posts. If the target that touches the object has [Control] or higher Strength, they will find themselves unaffected.

*[Ninjutsu • Underworld Guardian Spikes]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will cause their hair to rapidly grow and cocoon their body for protection. The hair does this with [Control] Speed, and when done, will have formed thick layers of rigid hair to protect the user with [Control] Strength. Upon completely cocooning the user, the hair disconnects from the user's hair, leaving it at it's original length.

*[Ninjutsu • Palm-Top Cannon]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the user has channeled a massive amount of chakra into the palm of their hand, the user releases the massive amount completely raw without any form of manipulation, releasing a blast of chakra outward from their hand in a 40 meter long, 10 meter diameter cone at [Control] Speed and Strength. Though seemingly simple, this technique can be coupled with loose objects in the air or thrown by the other hand, such as shuriken or a variety of different materials, to launch them at the techniques strength.

Tenzin and Seiji went their separate ways after getting to the inn, the silver hair shinobi made his way to the dojo. To his surprise he arrived with some minor hostility. There were two Samurai guarding the dojo, and after some explanation from Tenzin, he was let in. The first thing that was instructed of the young shinobi was to get dressed in a white Gi. With a quick change, Tenzin arrived to the wooden floor of one of rooms within the Dojo. He was greeted by an older man in his late 40's. The man was about 6'6'' large and well built. After a moment of silence, the man looked down and spoke up. "Welcome Tenzin. Sorry for the hostility, we don't normally get many visitors. After the war, we have made a point of being a little bit secluded. However, if you would like to learn the way of our blade you must prove you can fight without one. So for the next few days you will be training without a sword. Once I feel you are ready, we will move on with techniques."

Doto went and grabbed a wooden sword from one of the bins near him. He walked up to face Tenzin and lifted the sword slightly in the air in a ready position. "My name is Doto. Today you will learn the basics of Kūgāpou. A technique of fighting back back against a blade in case you are fighting without a sword. For this tactic, it is rather simple in concept. You are deflect the flat part of the blade with the flat part of your hand. Careful, if you do this too often in a fight you could hurt our own hands. Now I will strike down, try to combat it."

Tenzin nodded in respect and simply just muttered out "Got it." However before Tenzin was ready, Doto immediately swung the blade down. It hit Tenzin on the shoulder. This was a pain he was not ready for. Tenzin instinctively, reached for his right hip to grab a kunai, but in the split second he had forgotten that he was wearing a white Gi with none of his normal gear. Doto smiled and simply said "Again". This time Doto didn't wait again. He quickly raided up the wooden blade and swung it down towards Tenzin. This time Tenzin was only slightly more ready than last time. Tenzin quickly lifted his right hand. He kept his right hand open and used the open part of his hand to hit the flat part of the wooden blade only slightly. By doing this he moved the sword to the left and it would only miss by a small margin.

Doto was impressed by the shinobi's ability to adapt to a situation, especially after a failure. He looked down at Tenzin and decided to prep him on the immediate next step. "That was good, now lets try the next step to this technique. Now for the counter-attack. When you hit the blade, you will use your momentum to hit my sword and hit me with your elbow. Does that make sense." Tenzin thought for a few seconds, but before he could react again, the man swung his wooden sword down and hit the Jounin again. This was the second time that Tenzin had been made a fool by this samurai. The silver haired shinobi frustratingly looked at the man. If the Anbu Captain wanted he could burn not only this dojo but this village to the ground. The better nature of the man settled his nerves and those settled nerves turned into complete focus. It was clear that the shinobi had to be on edge at all times. Tenzin could feel the slight sting on his left shoulder and he simply told the man what his immediate thought was. "That won't happen Ag--" before he could finish his sentence the Samurai had already lifted up his wooden blade and swung down. Even though the young jounin was mid sentence, he meant what he was about to say. He wouldn't let it happen again.

As the blade swung down towards him, Tenzin used his left hand to hit the flat part of the blade. By pushing it slightly to the side, Tenzin used the momentum from the push and swung his right elbow forward. The elbow connected with Doto's chest and knocked him back a little bit. The shinobi held back a little bit in order not to hurt him. It was clear that the both of them weren't in a situation where hurting each other was beneficial. It was to teach each other. Doto looked at Tenzin and had a slight smirk as he walked back up to him. "Okay good, we are ready to move on to the next technique."

"You have natural fighting movement, but you are a little bit clunky with your overall execution. Lets focus more on flowing naturally and less over thinking of the technique. These motions are rather simple, so you should be fine with learning these next sets as well." Doto rested the wooden sword on his own shoulders as he spoke to Tenzin. The man had experience and clearly had been part of the dojo for a while. Tenzin responded to the larger man "Very well, what are we going to go over now?"

With an excited smirk, Doto turned his body so that his back was facing the silver haired shinobi. He lifted his free hand in the air with his pointer finger pointing up and his thumb facing out. Almost like his was going to shoot something out of his finger like a ninjutsu technique Tenzin had in his arsenal. This one will actually be easier than the previous technique we just learn. For the sake of understanding, I will be striking the exact same way. All you need to do is to hit the top of the blade and use my momentum to ensure that the blade hits the ground. There are two factors you must keep in mind when doing this strike. The first, is to make sure that when you perform this technique, you are aware of the type of weapon they have. If it is a double sided blade you would just be voluntarily giving up your hand. The second is be weary of the blade length itself. If the weapon is too long and you think you are out of the way, you once again, would be helping your opponent cut yourself in half." Tenzin nodded in understanding, although the temporary sensei wasn't facing him and couldn't see his actions. The shinobi responded, with caution. "I understand"

After the bruising he could feel on his shoulders, Tenzin made it a point to be fully aware at all times. Not just when Doto was talking, but also when he himself was talking as well. There were multiple times that he was hit in both of these situations. Before Tenzin could truly think of his next move, Doto swung his blade towards the Jounin. In a fast slice motion, the wooden blade hurled towards Tenzin. The silver haired shinobi didn’t hesitate, instead he made his first move. Tensing up his body, Tenzin shifted his body a little bit and leaned slightly back. In a quick motion, the Anbu captain lifted his arm up and opened up his palm. He quickly swung his right hand down at the top of the wooden blade where in a normal instance, if it was a normal sword, the blunt side. Tenzin would slam his open palm against the blunt end of the wooden blade causing the blade itself to slam into the ground.

When the wooden blade would slam into the ground, Tenzin’s body naturally wanted to counter. Living the life of a shinobi since he was a young boy, instincts seemed to have kicked in. With an incredibly quick analysis, Tenzin took his left foot forward. The distance the blade gave, allowed the young silver haired shinobi to take several steps forward. With that momentum, Tenzin took his final step with his right foot. With it implanted into the ground, Tenzin would lift off with that foot and push on forward turning his body ever so slightly. In the moment he would be in the air, he would lower his right shoulder slightly. With the wooden blade on the ground and Doto’s guard slightly down for only a few seconds, Tenzin would slam his shoulder into Doto’s body. This clash of contact would push the man back and send him several steps backwards. Due to the brash and quick response, Doto would naturally let go of the sword. The force itself was enough to cause the dojo trainer to lose a grip on the blade. When he fell backwards, Doto kept his footing.

After the contact, Doto lifted up both of his hands and looked at them. It was clear the blade was no longer in his hands and he was in fact bested. Doto smiled and spoke up. “Young Tenzin, you did very well. You naturally did a technique that I was going to teach you. Very impressive. I think we are good to continue going over more tactics. At this pace, we will be training the Yoshin sword style within the week. Let’s move on to the next group of techniques. I’ll give you a couple minutes to reset.”

With those words, Tenzin turned his body and took a few steps forward. Going back to his spot. After those few steps backwards, Tenzin turned his body to face Doto. What other techniques would this Dojo sensei want to go over?

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the practitioner, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This can either cause the sword to miss or, if the practitioner's Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack, can force the sword into the ground. This technique only works on blades that aren't double-edged.

Tenzin did a couple of jumping jacks and stretched his body. He reached down to his toes and then shifted his body to stretch out attempting to touch the ceiling. After he had finished, the instructor gazed upon him with a smirk. "Well then, since you are done we are going to work against softening the blow and attempting to disarm an opponent when they come at you with a knife or small weapon. First I will come at you with a sword. Sometimes in combat, it will be inevitable to dodge or parry a target. Especially if they are faster or even more cunning than you. So in case getting hit is inevitable, this technique allows you to avoid a detrimental strike. When I strike at you, be sure to slightly dodge it. I will be going for one of your major organs, you will need to move yourself so you would, in theory, be stabbed as a flesh wound. Get ready, because I will strike at any moment." With that warning, Tenzin stiffened his body and payed close attention to the instructor with the wooden sword. He waited a few seconds, before softening his stance and started saying Oh, I forgot to tell you..." This moment of interruption put Tenzin off guard for only a second. However, this was enough for the Instructor to take advantage of. He sent the sword forward.

Due to the lapse of ease and the sudden strike, this caused Tenzin to truly not be able to dodge this attack at all. It was so quick but in his mind felt so slow. His body couldn't move with his mind to the point where he knew what he had to do, but couldn't determine the best way to do it. Based on the stab motion from the instructor, it was clear that he was going straight for the heart. If it was a real sword, he would be killed almost instantly. This was something in real time that Tenzin had to avoid as a whole. With the simply explained technique, Tenzin used his hips and his knees to slightly move his body to the left. By doing this, the wooden sword would hit his ribs. Not an ideal location for a weapon, however it was certainly better than the alternative to the heart. The strike also was not soft, the wooden blade bluntly hit his ribs allowing pain to circulate throughout Tenzin's body. Instantly he grabbed his gut with both arms and made a grunting noise. The sequence of events caused the instructor to laugh.

"Very good, looks like we can move on to learn something new. This time, take this!" The sound he made, gave Tenzin the assumption that he was going to strike him. So naturally, and based on previous devious actions, the silver haired shinobi twitched his fingers and gave off the slightest of twitches. At the same time, the instructor reached in his back pocket and handed Tenzin a wooden kunai. However, the tip was flat. It was clearly a tool used by children in order to train within the art of using small weapons. Tenzin placed the wooden sword he was carrying and placed it on the ground. After the sword was gently placed, the Anbu Captain reached out with his left hand to grab the kunai. Once the young man held the Kunai the teacher began to speak. "Another part of of the Kūgāpou style is to evade and deflect. You won't always have your sword out and often times if you are using Ninjutsu, you will also be having your kunai out. So it is important to be holding a kunai during combat. Now, you should try to stop me and disarm me in the next attack. I will strike you with this wooden sword, same as before. Like before though, I will not tell you when I will strike. Part of these lessons is to really hammer home be prepared at all times! Now are you ready?"

Tenzin had learned after being hit a couple of times that to be ready at all times. The sensei wasn't wrong and he had really nailed it into his head to always be prepared. This was an important lesson when it came to combat as a whole. The shinobi tensed up his hand and muscles within his arm. However, he maintained a relax look throughout the course of his body. This was his attempt to be perceived as someone who was in fact not ready. The sensei smirked and started talking "As if I would believe you are ac.." Mid-sentence, the sensei swung his blade towards the right of Tenzin's body. Since the shinobi was ready, he swung his left hand to his right. Instead of using the kunai, he would drop it completely mid swing, they were close enough where the sword would be considered a short weapon. With his swing, Tenzin would close his fist and attempt to punch the Sensei's hand. By slamming down on the opponents fingers, Tenzin would swing his right hand as well. In one swing with his left, Tenzin would push off the weapon from his Sensei's fingers. In the same vein the punch would also crush the man's fingers.

Useful for dealing with an opponent using a short weapon, such as a kunai, knife, or dagger, the practitioner waits for the opponent to attack. After Tenzin had disarmed his Sensei, he let out a rather loud yelp. The Sensei had suspected he was a ninja, but of what caliber, that simple fact was very unclear. The silver haired shinobi did a good job of keeping his power, prowess, and overall experience hidden from the 1st Sensei. With the training so far, the Anbu Captain had adapted a keen sense of combat. In fact, due to the way that his sensei was swinging the sword, Tenzin had picked up on small intricacies of an opponent and how the would attack. After a moment of the Sensei shaking that hand that was hit, he began to talk. "That was some strike! I mean... I knew it was coming, but didn't expect that! You have become very good at predicting movements and strikes. Have you, yourself, noticed it yet?"

Tenzin nodded, and spoke up for the first time in a while. Since this training had started, he really hasn't had the opportunity to speak in full. Truthfully it worked out great for the turquoise eyed man. The less he spoke about himself the better, however his was a conversation he couldn't evade. The shinobi inhaled deep and exhaled immediately after, to an outsider it would appear as if he was nervous. What the silver haired man was really doing, was calculating the words that would come out of his mouth. In truth, it was a delaying tactic to ensure the right response. "Yes, I have noticed. It is interesting, the more I train in the art of dodging, evading, and countering weapons, the more I understand not only the direction of a weapons... but I am starting to get down how the body angles itself before it uses an attack." That was the most Tenzin would say about the matter, he really wasn't interested in the conversation, but more of the learning. He had come to the dojo to train in the art of Kenjutsu, this added set of techniques was nothing more than a bonus. Something the shinobi had no clue would be something that he would be taught.

Without further delays, the sensei smiled. "Well that is fair enough. Shall we continue?" He softly said to Tenzin. The shinobi crossed his arms and nodded, which gave the sign that he was ready to move on to the next set of techniques. The teacher smirked and continued with explaining the last maneuver before moving on. "As you know there has been a great theme to this type of combat. We are really drilling evading, countering, but most importantly... disarming. This next technique try moving to the side and disarming me. Once again I will strike you, just let me know when you are ready." The man would reach down to go and grab the sword from the ground. The wooden sword had a nice sheen to it, clearly it was an oak with a soft stain on it in order to keep it in good condition and even to clean. Something so simple in concept, was actually incredibly smart. Especially for a dojo that specialized in training others in combat, kenjutsu combat. When the man lifted his back straight with the sword in his right hand, Tenzin was mere seconds away from telling the instructor he was ready. Before he could give the okay, the sensei lunged his blade forward at Tenzin. This lunge was aimed at his stomach. Tenzin would move slightly to the side and weave his right hand over the blunt end of the blade. With his free hand, Tenzin would swing it over and collide with the sword wielding hand of the instructor. This collision, caused the sensei to drop the sword all together. The man's hand would swell up pretty quickly. With his free hand he would hold his hand all together.

Tenzin never meant to hurt the sensei. Kindly, he would take a couple steps forward and speak up to the man that had been teaching him all day. "I'm sorry Sensei are you okay." With a face not built for lying, the man gave a half grinned nod. "Of course, this happens all the time. Unfortunately, it is just the cost of being an instructor of such a physically taxing technique. How about we call it for the day. We both should get some rest. Meet be back here at first sunlight tomorrow and we can continue your training. By the end of the ay tomorrow we should be at higher level techniques. What do you say?" Tenzin nodded in agreement. He wasn't really tired, but the shinobi could tell that the instructor wanted to ice his own hand. That was a fair statement in its own right. "Works for me, I am tired anyways." The shinobi would turn around and begin to walk out. He would send his hand up in the air as a wave and leave by saying "see you tomorrow sensei".
