Eye Can't Believe it

Post by Texas » Fri Jul 29, 2022 5:51 pm

Tenzin had been traveling incognito for a while now, especially going back and forth between Konoha and Dragon's Breath. It was important that the shinobi hid identity as he continuously kept tabs on the are that was recently taken over. Since him and his Commander had lead the charge in the full take-over, the villages and trading areas have been a little bit chaotic. The change in leadership, although from face value hasn't changed much.... the idea that there will always be a big brother looking over the area wasn't usually in high praises by the common tradesperson over there. Especially when it came to black market dealings. Due to these visits being incognito, Tenzin had started to get used to leaving his headband and shinobi vest at his residence. If he was on an official mission he would wear either his normal shinobi gear or even his anbu gear. However, for the purposes of traveling between the two locations, it wasn't fully necessary.

During his travels, Tenzin had heard of a disruptive man who was easy to anger that sold fish in the markets of Dragon's Breath. It was believed that he actually didn't live on the island, but more lived near the skinny part of the Dragon Country. One day on Tenzin's way back from Dragon's Breath, the shinobi decided to take a slower route on the off chance that he would find out who this person was. After some investigating with other traders, it was rumored that his eyes would glow purple when angered.

The silver haired shinobi arrived to a local bar that was several meters from the main road. It was somewhat close to the water and seemed to overall be a local bar. Tenzin walked in with his hands in his pockets. With a careful gaze upon the small bar, he saw a few different blue collar men throughout the bar. Some in groups of 2 and 3 sitting at circular tables and others alone at the bar itself. Tenzin walked up to the bar and ordered an ale.

"Just one for now" he coarsely said before the waiter went to the keg to pour a glass.

When the waiter arrived, he plopped it down on the table. "Aye Tab er are ye payin uhp front."

Tenzin did a half cocked smile and took out some change from his pockets. When he placed it on the table, he used the same hand to grab the ale and simple muttered "Thank you". Tenzin then turned around and walked over to a circular table that wasn't occupied and took a seat. It was a small and relaxing vibe over all. Clearly the local watering hole where workers would come to blow off steam. Maybe after a beer or two he could ask around nonchalantly about the rumors he had heard.

  • General: A once ambitious, but borderline loose cannon and built for war. However, near the tail end of it a mission caused him to become injured and followed was the thought of betrayal. An explosion that was caused by Iwa, but not towards him. In fact it wasn't known that he was in the enemy camp causing issues as is. Since the explosion and the visuals of the Iwa headbands, Shoshu became deranged. Almost as if something within his mind snapped. Now he lives as if a shell of a man only to truly come out when he indulges in combat.
  • Hopes/Dreams: Now he has no hopes or dreams. With no reason for violence, Sho's existence has turned dull and left him a shell of a man.
  • Fears: The only fear Sho has is that Iwa will take him back and lock him up. Over the course of the years, this shinobi has truly enjoyed being free to borderline do whatever he wanted.
  • Combat Mentality:Ruthless in nature, Sho would happily activate his doujutsu and use his clan jutsu combined with taijutsu technique. When in combat, he does relentless attacking in hopes to tire out his enemies.

Passive (Ignition)Show
Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own.

Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.

*Katon • Ripple
C-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling katon chakra into their body, the user will release a burst of flame around their entire body, coming outwards from them. This sphere of roiling fire pushes outward with [Control speed and impacts whatever it touches with [Control] strength, the sphere extending roughly 25 meters in radius from the user's body.

*Katon • Bomb Creation

The dome is held together at [Control] strength for 4 posts before falling apart into wild flames.

*Katon • Flame Lash
B-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user breathes out gently and sends a wire-thin line of flames at a target. The line can travel up to 40 meters from the user at [Control] speed. If it connects to a target, their body will suddenly burst into flames, igniting them and whatever they happen to be wearing in a searing inferno of flames.

*Katon • Supernova
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: *Katon • Burning Entrapment
After performing the correct hand seals the user will cause an existing instance of their *Katon • Burning Entrapment technique to collapse in at [Control] Strength and Speed, crushing and forcing the flames upon whatever is trapped.

*Katon • Flame Armor
A-Rank Ninjutsu
After the needed hand seals, the user will release katon outward from their body rapidly as the fire twists around them. This fire forms a 3-inch layer of flames around their body that manifests at [Control] speed, and essentially provide a pseudo-defense against taijutsu for the next five posts. If anyone comes into contact with the armor, they will receive burns and incoming attacks will be repelled with [Control] strength.

S-Rank Ninjutsu

*Katon • On the Precipice of a Cataclysm
S-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing a long string of hand seals, the user will bring their hands together as if to mold a ball of clay, focusing a massive amount of chakra into their hands. They will then slam their hands onto the ground or a similar surface, causing a ripple of fire to emanate out in a 80 meter radius at [Control] speed. Anything caught in the wave will become ignited instantly. Following this move, the user will then forcefully remove their hands from the ground and fling them to the sky, shooting fireballs into the air which will then reign down over the same radius at [Control] speed, and impact with [Control] Strength. The epicenter of both techniques will remain untouched by the flames, as the user is there.

D-Rank Ninjutsu

*[Ninjutsu • Hidden Needles]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will focus chakra into their mouths and into up to five senbon within 10 meters of their position. The senbon will be summoned from their persons or nearby into the user's mouth, where they will be spit out aided by chakra at [Control] Strength and Speed. The senbon can be shot up to 10 meters away.

*[Ninjutsu • Chakra Burst]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra into one of their fists, the user will then attempt to strike their target and if successful, they will release additional concussive force in the form of an outward explosion with [Control] Strength from their fist. If the user does not strike a target within 3 posts the jutsu dissipates.

*[Ninjutsu • Tracking Device]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will coat one of their hairs in chakra. Once this has been done, they will place it on their target. The user can track the exact location of the strand of hair for up to 10 meters. For up to 20 meters out, the user can track a rough location. From then out to 100 meters, the user just gets a general direction of where the opponent is. The chakra in the hair will dissipate at the end of 6 posts.

*[Ninjutsu • Wall]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user causes a thin 3x3x1 meter flat barrier to form within 10 meters of them at [Control] Speed and has [Control] Strength. It lasts for 3 posts.

*[Ninjutsu • Sensory Deprivation: Sight]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A technique used for a variety of purposes, each unique to the user's needs, the user channels chakra over their eyes. This chakra will act as though it were solid, rendering the user blind until it is dispelled. This can be held as long as the user has chakra, but once it has ended, it has a cool-down period of 2 posts before it can be used again.

[Ninjutsu • Arm]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A technique crafted by Shoshu himself. By flowing chakra specifically into his lost arm. He can create an arm and hand that matches his current one. An exact replica but made out of pure chakra. This arm appears at a speed dictated by [Control]. It's durability is also dictated by the [Control] stat as well. This arm can move as much as any other arm. However, since it is made of chakra, it can be altered with other jutsu. This arm lasts for [Control/2].

C-Rank Ninjutsu

*[Ninjutsu • Binding]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will focus chakra into a rope, wire, or a similar object in their possession. The object will then lash out at a target at [Control] Speed for up to 25 meters attempting to then coil around them and bind them. After coiling around the target, the chakra will cause the object to harden to [Control] Strength. After 4 posts the chakra will run out and the bind will break.

*[Ninjutsu • Multiple Chakra Kai]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Despite requiring both hands and more time than *[Basic Jutsu • Chakra Kai], Multiple Chakra Kai allows the user to activate up to five objects simultaneously, up to 25 meters away.

*[Ninjutsu • Barrier]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user forms a 5x5x5m barrier around a target up to 25m away from their position. The barrier forms at [Control] Speed, has [Control] Strength, and lasts 4 posts before fading away.

*Ninjutsu • Spiritualism Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
The base technique for summoning, the Spiritualism Technique allows users to bring forth their summons to fight on their behalf. Once an agreement has been made between the user and their summon, they will be able to use this technique to call upon it at any time unless stated otherwise. The chakra used for this technique varies, as it is dependent on the size and rank of what is being summoned. Once it has been summoned, the initial cost of the summon is equivalent to its rank. It is paid upon being summoned and then the same cost is paid as often as follows:
D-Rank: Free to maintain once summoned.
C-rank: 10 posts
B-rank: 9 Posts
A-rank: 7 Posts
S-rank: 5 posts
*[Ninjutsu • Advanced Transformation Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
An advanced form of the Transformation Technique, after performing the correct hand seals and holding the final one temporarily, the user will coat and mold chakra around their body into the shape and form of something or someone which is no more than twice their size. This technique's true advantage is that the disguise is given physical substance. This means, for example, if they transform into something with claws, they will have claws that can physically be used. For the disguises 5 post duration, if it is damaged by a hit of more than [Control] Strength, the disguise "poofs" from existence. This includes collateral damage caused by striking an opponent that may occur to the disguise.

B-Rank Ninjutsu

*[Ninjutsu • Rattrap]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will imbue an item with their chakra that is no larger than a basketball. The next thing to touch the object within 3 posts will feel the chakra lurch off the object, surging into their body and overwhelming them. For those with less than [Control] Strength they will find themselves immobile for the next 5 posts. If the target that touches the object has [Control] or higher Strength, they will find themselves unaffected.

*[Ninjutsu • Underworld Guardian Spikes]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will cause their hair to rapidly grow and cocoon their body for protection. The hair does this with [Control] Speed, and when done, will have formed thick layers of rigid hair to protect the user with [Control] Strength. Upon completely cocooning the user, the hair disconnects from the user's hair, leaving it at it's original length.

*[Ninjutsu • Palm-Top Cannon]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After the user has channeled a massive amount of chakra into the palm of their hand, the user releases the massive amount completely raw without any form of manipulation, releasing a blast of chakra outward from their hand in a 40 meter long, 10 meter diameter cone at [Control] Speed and Strength. Though seemingly simple, this technique can be coupled with loose objects in the air or thrown by the other hand, such as shuriken or a variety of different materials, to launch them at the techniques strength.

[Ninjutsu • 3 Arm Strike]
B-Ranked Ninjutsu
After channeling chakra or providing the needed hand seals, the Shoshu creates not only one arm where is original one is missing, but an arm below both of his arms. This creates a total of 4 arms (3 being made up of chakra). They can move in synch or alternating, but over all the speed and strength of these 3 extra arms are dictated by the [Control] Stat. These arms can alter their shape to take the appearance of claws, knives, etc. They can even be launched at an opponent to try to apprehend. All movement and change is done through the [Control] Stat. These arms last for [Control/3] posts.

A-Rank Ninjutsu

*[Ninjutsu • Trash Compactor]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will cause their existing barrier to compact at [Control] Speed and Strength, shrinking as it's walls push in and caught whatever is inside, before dissipating completely.

*[Ninjutsu • Body Flicker Technique]
A-Ranked Nintaijutsu
After channeling chakra into their body, the user enhances their movement to attack or retreat suddenly, the ninja almost instantly moves up to 65 meters on the ground in a single straight direction. While doing this, the ninja cannot move through anything or anyone, nor can they supplement it with an attack of any kind. After the quick movement has stopped, there is a brief pause where the user must recover from the movement. Even though it's not a full teleportation, this jutsu uses up one of the 2 teleportations a character can use in a single thread.

*[Ninjutsu • Shadow Clone Technique]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user proceeds to create a number of clones of themselves (maximum is equal to 1/3rd the users Chakra Pool). Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies of the user in both appearance and substance. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own, be given complex commands, caught in genjutsu, and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. Given that the clones are an exact replica of the user, they share the same stats except for Chakra Pool, which is determined by the number of clones presently in effect.

A-Rank Ninjutsu

*[Ninjutsu • Shadow Assassination Technique]
S-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will disguise themselves in a process similar to the transformation technique, "flattening" themselves and causing them to appear like a semi-opaque solid black image of their flattened self, giving off the visual illusion they are a shadow. The user may then send themselves flying to a nearby target's shadow, within 80 meters, at [Control] Speed. If successful, they will mirror themselves in the users shadow so that they may follow them for up to 5 posts. At any point if the users attempts to attack, the disguise will be released, causing a "poof " of smoke. This jutsu uses up one of the 2 teleportations a character can use in a single thread.

*[Ninjutsu • Reflect]
S-Ranked Ninjutsu
After doing the needed hand seals, the users creates a 30x30 meter flat barrier that is concave to them. It forms directly in front of them at [Control] Speed and whenever a technique hits the barrier, if the barrier survives, a moment later the barrier will reflect the technique back at it's point of origin. This barrier can be broken by an attacker stronger than [Control] Strength or if 5 posts pass.

Flames of Hatred StyleShow
Flames of Hatred:
Flames of Hatred Style
This style comes from the ferocity of the Fukusha as they allow the Flames of Hatred to burn behind their eyes, while they portray a cold stoic outer layer that creates an eerily feel on the battlefield. Their hatred is felt and shown, but it betrays the nature of their calm relaxed movements. This style is usually used to lull opponents in with smooth dodges, and tactical foot placement as they dance around their opponent. Behind the scenes the user is playing a game of battlefield management forcing the opponent to move a way or lull them into placement for their next move. The Fukusha are known for their tactical prowess, and are always thinking 10 steps ahead of their opponent.
Prerequisites: [Close Quarters Combat], and [Perception]
D-Rank Taijutsu

~Flames of Hate • Walking Stance
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The Fukusha will pair their feet in an L stance, and have a casual movement to them despite their mind being on edge. This stance is typically used to lull opponents into thinking the user is relaxed as their feet are paired shoulder width apart, and knees slightly bent for immediate leverage when needed. While moving the user will typically keep their body on edge as if to react out of instinct to dodge, parry, or block any incoming attacks. In this stance the users keep their torso up straight.

~Flames of Hate • Tactile Palm Maneuverment
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
When the user is fighting up close and personal, they will wave their off hand in the face of their opponent as a distraction while their other hand will perform an underhanded palm strike to the chest. This strike aims to wind them with a blow to the sternum which can create useful openings.

~Flames of Hate • Side Swipe
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will intercept an incoming strike aimed for them, and divert it to the side opposite of the hand they're using to divert. As they attempt to move the opponent around them they will raise their arm on the side they're directing the opponent, and jab a strong elbow to that person's head as an attempt to disorient or land a sturdy blow to the face (-1 Willpower). While rudimentary it is still a strong strike as it's compatible with most incoming attacks of the physical nature.

~Flames of Hate • Flying Heel Take Down
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
When fighting in close quarters with an opponent, the user will jut an open palm strike at their opponent's nose attempting to disorient the target (-1 Willpower) before spinning quickly on their back heel as they raise their opposite leg high in the air and bring it down in an axe kick. They will aim to strike and cradle their opponent's head down towards the ground. This move can prove fruitful for creating a wide opening on an opponent as its goal is to disorient, and then bring their opponents down onto the ground with a strong kick.

~Flames of Hate • Elbow Tackle
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
When moving into an enemy's close quarters range, the user will aim to throw their opponent's defensive stance upwards with their free hand as they aim with their opposite elbow jutting it into their opponent's ribcage to knock them down into the ground. This move can be useful when attempting to close the gap and prevent an enemy from fleeing after forcing them into close quarters combat.

C-Rank Taijutsu

~Flames of Hate • Arm Lock
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
As an opponent comes in for a strike, the user will intercept the attack with their free arm, and tuck it underneath their own arm around their back as they pull their opponent closer. When the user pulls the opponent in they'll usher a chop to the opponent's neck to cause them to gag and stun them. After stunning their opponent the user will then force the opponent down into the ground forcing their arm behind their back in a lock.

~Flames of Hate • Back Hand Twist
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
As the user comes in for a strike, they'll throw a sweeping hook, and turn with the inertia swinging out their other hand to backhand their opponent as they spin around. As they come to face their opponent once more, they'll throw a straight kick into the opponent's chest in an attempt to knock them down or back far.

~Flames of Hate • Grip Break
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
As an opponent swings in with a weapon, the user will side step the attack as they step in quickly to hold the weapon down on its safe end, and bat at the opponent's hand attempting to twist and rip the weapon away from the opponent. As the user rips the weapon away they'll then transition from batting the opponent's hands into an elbow to the opponent's face.

~Flames of Hate • No Loose Ends
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A user who practices this discipline is skilled in seeing where weapons and projectiles are being thrown from to be able to deduce the general direction they are coming from. With this discipline, someone attempting to launch attacks from the shadows will reveal their position as the user traces the projectile back to the opponent in the shadows.

~Flames of Hate • Weaponry Instinct
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A user who practices this discipline is skilled in studying their opponent's hold on weaponry. They'll be able to deduce weak spots in an opponent's grip, and better avoid attacks and prevent their body from instinctively blocking from attacks that would otherwise be dangerous if blocked. This essentially reinforces a user's natural knowledge of weaponry, and the pursuit to disarm an opponent.

B-Rank Taijutsu

~Flames of Hate • Kowalski Analyze
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A user practiced in this discipline is keen on small details. They are able to tell when things have been disturbed, pick up on little patterns, and are able to deduce an opponent's skill set with a bit of observation. This allows the user to pick up on an opponent's style, patterns, and details as long as the opponent does not have a Stealth jutsu of equal or greater rank. The user can also use this jutsu for detecting things wrong in an area, or if things have been moved or disturbed.

~Flames of Hate • Once Twice Thrice
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user of this discipline can keep up with multiple targets at once. With their eyes working double time, they're able to keep up with [Speed]/4 targets within their vision at once.

~Flames of Hate • X Blade
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisites: 35 Strength
The user swings their arms in an X across their chest, creating a blast of air in the form of an X that reaches out up to [Strength]/2 in meters range which strikes and moves at the user's [Strength]/2. This X formation of air grows to be 5m wide as it moves forward.

A-Rank Taijutsu

~Flames of Hate • Foresight
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
When a user practices this discipline, they use the skill of reading an opponent to make up for their lack of speed. The user begins to predict their opponent's moves by reading their body language, and moving before the opponent has rolled into their attack to make up for the difference in speed. As long as the user's [Speed] is not 5 or more less than the opponent's [Speed] they'll be able to keep up with the opponent's attacks, if but barely. This is most often used when the user is backed into a corner or facing multiple opponents.

~Flames of Hate • Grass Cutter
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisites: Sword Weapons Concentration, 35 Strength
When a user uses this maneuver as they go to strike with their sword, their blade catches the air it moves through launching forward an air blade attack at a strength and speed 3/4th the user's own [Strength], and travels up to 3/4th the user's [Strength] in meters. This air blade is capable of cutting things as if it were a real blade, and has a length of 18m wide as it slices through the air.

S-Rank Taijutsu

~Flames of Hate • Susano'o's Sight
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Possessing immense battle sense and perception, the user is aware of even the most subtle details around them, to a point where they can even pick up on the slightest tension changes in an opponent’s body allowing him predict their movement before it is complete or even read what someone is writing by the way their pencil moves. At times their eyes seem to move on their own will, rapidly tracking an amount of movements equal to their [Speed]/2.

Sho was born into the notorious Fukusha Clan. Trained at an early age to become ferocious in combat and channel his incredibly high anger. With his trainign he made himself an asset for Iwa and in response recognized for his talents.

He performed poorly in his Academy days due to the education requirement. When it came to combat and fighting sense he had record high scores, however when it came to pen and paper, the boy just couldn't properly sit still or focus long enough. This caused him to stay in the Academy for an extra year, just to get a passable score to move on to being a Genin.

When Sho was a Genin, he proved that his strength and battle sense was borderline unrivaled. When it came down to leadership and teamwork, Sho failed miserably. It was a slow and painful process to even get him to come out of a mission without hurting his own teammates by accident. This however, wasn't tested when the chuunin exams came to fruition. In fact, when pinned up one vs one, Sho came out victorious. Almost too victorious, leaving his combat partner to be on the brink of death.

Sho's brutality and lack of care for others put him in a different category of ninja. A failsafe type shinobi. This classification allowed Sho to go on missions alone where the result required a very certain result, death. Sho's unwavering results awarded him to be a Special Jounin. Before he could progress any further he was enlisted for the great shinobi war.

During one of his missions, he was informed of an enemy camp. Due to his previous requests in missions, he assumed that the info he was told gave him permission to attack. During the dead of night Sho attacked the enemy camp, but since he had left without telling anyone or learning further about the situation, he was not ready for what was to happen next. As Sho was murdering the people silently within the camp, he ran into the captain's quarters. Only to see a few bombs placed in the camp. Before he could fully get away they detonated. This blew up his whole right side and completely took out one of his arms. As the man was losing consciousness, he saw several shinobi in Iwa garbs disappearing into the night.

After the explosion Iwa shinobi ran in and destroyed the rest of the camp. To their surprise they found Sho who appeared to be dead. As they were about to burry the man into the ground, they were attacked by a second unit. The second unit killed most of the shinobi and chased them back to Iwa's camp. During this back and forth, Sho gained consciousness. Not able to fully process what had happened, he snuck away.

Over the course of years, Sho found himself in a small shack within the Dragon Country. He has kept to himself. No-en-days he goes to the bar at night for leisure. For work/food/money he hunts whether it is animals or fish. Presumed dead from the war, Sho has lived a dull existence than what he had done in the past. However, there is a rumor going around within small areas in the Dragon Country of a man who angrily turns his eyes purple during fights. However, that could mean anything?

Eye Can't Believe it

The passing of years had done little to ease the memory of the red night that had stolen away the livelihood of Fukusha Shoshu. The passions and purpose of that young man were as absent now as his right arm, replaced only by pain and bitterness. If anything, those grew with time rather than faded, despite the endless claims of people who had suffered neither.

Two weeks ago those memories had assaulted him again. It was happening more and more often now, and he was distantly aware that he lost control a little more each time, but what was a man to do? It wasn't his fault. Something in the smoke and smells drifting across the Seledar Market that day had triggered it, he thought, taking him right back to that night in the wartime camp. It was only afterwards, stumbling away from another bloodied corpse left floating in the docks, that he'd come to the sobering realisation that he hadn't, in fact, still been at war. That the young man whose head he'd crushed with his one remaining arm hadn't, in fact, been an enemy ninja set on Shoshu's own demise. It wasn't his fault. The man had been in his face all night, asking questions, probing, sneering. Even now, Shoshu's lip began to curl at the memory. Utter fool.

He shook his head and tried to make himself forget about it, and to ignore the way the locals ducked into doorways or alleys ahead of him to avoid his passing. One particularly bold fisherman met his eye for a long, drawn-out moment as Shoshu passed, before eventually lowering his gaze to feign extreme interest in a half-repaired net. Shoshu scowled, annoyed by both the cowardice and the judgement of everyone around him. Not a single one of these soft pathetic men had any right to judge him. Seeing them fear him, even just a little—not a one of them was truly wise enough to fear him as he should be feared—stirred a little spark of emotion somewhere in his heart, yes, but that also meant he'd perhaps stayed in the region a little too long.

Where next? He wondered, slipping through the evening streets of the market town. Since limping away from Iwagakure's bombs and betrayals in the war he'd roamed between the minor countries, trying to avoid notice by the Grand Five, and by Iwagakure most of all. But the war had kept raging without him, and the fighting had spread to even this distant corner of the known world. Two ninja in particular had led the scouring of Dragon Country, and now it lay divided and broken by their hand. All he'd wanted was a quiet life, away from the eyes of other ninja. But instead he'd been inevitably drawn into the resistance against the new Fire Country overlords, helping this sliver of the old Dragon Country cling to a shred of its former freedoms. It was that or risk even greater odds of discovery, but even in victory that net closed ever inwards. Once upon a time he'd relished notoriety, but nowadays it was a curse he'd been trying to avoid for years. Maybe it's time to finally make the jump across to the Shrimp Continent? He mused. He'd stand out more there, but it was one of the last bastions away from the Grand Five, especially now that his old nation of Iwagakure were again on the warpath along their southern borders.

These thoughts still filled the bitter Fukusha's mind as he strolled past one of the waterfront bars, until a sudden danger sense drew his attention back to the present and caused his pace to falter. There was a newcomer at one of the tables who clearly didn't belong. Shoshu recognised most of the locals by now, and this was certainly not one; he wasn't nearly dirty or downtrodden enough. His eyes were too curious, his posture too...calculated. Shoshu subtly shifted to walk deeper in the shadows and continued away, hoping to avoid notice. Once out of sight, however, he circled back through a dark alleyway and remained concealed in its entrance, from where he could keep a distant eye on that bar and its new patron. The chances were good it was nothing—some passing nobody killing time on his way to more important places, probably—but one could never be too careful. He'd just wait and watch for a little while to make sure there was nothing more to it...

The silver haired man stared down his drink until he had the weird feeling that someone was watching him. Instead of reacting to it, he simply lifted his glass and lifted it upside down as the top of the glass hit his mouth, so did the ale. Tenzin downed his drink, a move he had witnessed before from a man that seemed too casual. Although at the time it seemed misplaced, the Anbu Agent did a version of it that felt more natural to himself. Upon finishing the drink, Tenzin slammed the mug on the ground and smiled. He got up and walked over to the bar. "Another please", while the bartender turned around to get him some ale, a smaller group of men raised their glass to him. Tenzin had figured that these men were happy that someone came in and drank so casually. In the shinobi's mind, he was hoping that although he was a new face, he would fit in with the crowd. As the bartender walked over with his drink, the Captain placed some extra money on the table with his right hand to not only pay for the drink, but to leave a tip as well. "Ah actually" he muttered before leaving the bar, "could I get a bottle of sake with one glass as well?" The bartender smiled and went to go grab the sake.

Tenzin wasn't much of a drinker, but he wanted to give the illusion of being relaxed. If someone was watching and his feeling was correct, then it was important to act as though he wasn't a threat. There were only a few scenarios that the shinobi could think of. If the feeling of someone watching him went away and no one became physically present, then he would have to leave to see who was watching him. It would be better to make sure there wasn't a threat and if someone skilled like the rumors have been said was watching him, then Tenzin would have to act.

However, if that person walked in, it would allow Tenzin the opportunity to keep an eye and then stalk this person. Someone cautious enough to hide and observe before being seen would have to be someone that the Leaf Shinobi would be weary of. With those minds racing through his mind, the bartender placed the sake bottle on the table followed by the small glass. Tenzin smiled and said "oh yeah here you go! I had a good couple of days, what a great place to celebrate." With his right arm he grabbed the bottle and placed the spare fingers to grab the glass. With his left, he grabbed the ale. Tenzin walked over to his table and placed all of the drinks on the top near his seat. He quickly turned and dropped more money at the bar, only to make his way back to his seat. The shinobi gazed upon the glasses with excited eyes. The drinks looked so good!

Shrouded still in the evening shadows of the alley mouth, Shoshu waited quietly. Curiosity warred with wariness as he watched the newcomer in the bar knock back a couple of drinks and chat, amiably it seemed, with the bartender. All in all, it wasn't particularly suspicious. The overwhelming odds were that this man was just an out-of-towner passing through and killing an evening by relaxing at the little streetside bar. That was pretty much the done thing here, even among the locals; there's not much else to do in town like this, even on the busier market days. But even so, Shoshu crouched down to rest on his haunches and observed for a little while longer, waiting until the man had put away a couple of drinks to be sure. At the rate he was going with them, Shoshu wouldn't have to worry either way anyway.

Eventually, he rose and turned to leave, satisfied for the moment that he wasn't in any urgent danger. His mind drifted back to thoughts of leaving town as he walked, mulling over options and arrangements to be made. It would hurt to lose all his efforts here, though. Even with his occasional... lapse, like the fortnight past, he still had a small business going here where he'd sell some easy catches of fish. It was an easy, hassle-free life. A shame to walk away from it over just a passing suspicion. But such was the price for a wanted man living on the run...

He hestated, his pace slowing until he stood still further down the alleyway. Why should he keep running, hiding from every passing moment of paranoia? That was no way to live, not in the long-term, and certainly not for a man of his calibre. This stranger in the bar was likely a nobody. A man who wouldn't know him, and care about him even less. Was that worth throwing everything away for? And all the effort of setting himself up, yet again, in an even more distant and decrepid cesspit of a town? Shoshu turned back around, looking back the way he'd come, weighing the options in his head.
And if the man was an enemy? ...Well, honestly, Shoshu perferred to face threats head on. All this scurrying around and hiding like a rat in a restaurant grated on his soul, more and more every time. And there was a very good reason that the locals had come to fear him.
He looked up at the cloud-blackened sky, sighed, then took a step back down the alley in the direction of the bar. One way or another, he resolved to find his answer tonight.

A few minutes later he stepped slowly into the same little bar, eyes immediately flickering across the room and analysing the patrons. Tomasu, the owner, was serving at the bar as always. Two of the regulars at a nearby table he knew by name, even though both refused to meet his eyes today. Evidently the town was still gossiping about his last little incident at the docks. Another pair, on the far side of the bar, he was passingly familiar with, though he didn't know their names. This was the sort of place where although you might see the same faces passing by most days, you didn't stick your nose in them. By respecting their privacy he'd earned the right to keep his own.

And then there was the newcomer. Shoshu nodded to the barkeep and tapped a knuckle against one of the bar taps, then dropped a couple of ryo coins to the counter. Tomasu silently poured and passed him a glass, then promptly busied himself at the other end of the bar counter without a word. Shoshu sniffed and turned around, leaning casually against the bar and openly examining the patrons - including the newcomer - without bothering to conceal his growing sneer.

The newcomer seemed younger than he'd expected, and tall, with a distinctive shock of silver-white hair. Something about that itched at his mind, though he couldn't place it in the moment. Up close, though, the man's athleticism was fairly obvious to a trained eye. Interesting. From his vantage point near the bar he couldn't see the man's hands clearly, but he wondered whether they bore the callouses of a labourer, or something else even more telling. He let his eyes linger on the man until he was sure his examination had been noticed - and then, very deliberately, Shoshu turned and spat to the side, before looking away and taking a couple of large mouthfuls of ale. Then he waited to see if and how the man would react. The locals, as expected, were still pretending not to notice him.

And, unexpectedly, Shoshu found that he was actually hoping that the man would confront him. He was itching to put someone in their place to liven up the night. Just once more. He could use that wonderful thrill to carry him through to morning.

The calmness of the bar was an overall vibe. Although there were a few pockets of filled tables, most of the men and women that had taken seats at the bar were overall relaxing at would seem like a long day of work. With all of the drinks in front of the Anbu Captain, he made sure to go easy on the drinks as a whole. He wasn't on official business, more or less, he was on a personal investigation. During his time sitting there, the feeling of someone watching disappeared overall. Even though Tenzin couldn't fully sense someone based on presence, he could feel a slight strength in chakra that was near him.

With eyes gazed upon him felt fleeting, it didn't take too long before someone had walked into the bar. The silver haired man, held onto one of his several drinks and continued to act aloof and high spirited. He used his peripherals to keep tabs on the new man that had walked in. It was important to note that the chakra coming from him was slightly different than the rest of the people at the bar.... it was stronger. Another key characteristic was that he was missing an arm. What was a calm and relaxing vibe of workers knocking back a few after a hard day's work... changed suddenly. It got slightly quieter and there was a sudden tension.

All of these factors caused Tenzin to feel perplexed. An eerie feeling overwhelmed the man, to the point where he couldn't just sit there. The young man decided to use his oblivious charm to attempt to up the mood slightly, but also get himself closer to the strange man. Was this the guy he was looking for?

The shinobi stood up slowly from his chair several minutes after the man had walked in. Although Tenzin didn't have any shinobi attire, to a trained eye he would probably stick out a little bit. He picked up his sake cup along with the small jar the sake was in and made his way towards the bar. On his way, he stopped by one of the tables that had a couple of men and one woman sitting at it drinking ale. He smiled and approached in a friendly way keeping track of his body language to ensure the image of harmless intent. "Hey guys, as you can see... I ordered too much haha" he laughed a couple seconds in awkwardness before he continued, "Here take this as a gift, I'll get you guys a couple more glasses so you can all drink this." Although uncommon, the group smiled back and accepted it in a friendly manner. After a brief smile, Tenzin turned his body and began to walk to the bar. Because of this excuse, it gave him a nice position next to the armless man.

As he stood next to him, Tenzin lifted up his right arm to get the bartender's attention. When the bartender came around Tenzin simply asked for a few more sake glasses to give the table. While the bartender turned around to grab a few glasses, Tenzin turned to him acting nonchalant "Hey, I ordered a little too much to drink, would you like a glass too?" With a kind smile and positive intent, the real thought in the back of Tenzin's mind kept him slightly on guard.... What will this man say or do?

Shoshu's sneer faltered momentarily then dropped away to impassivity as the man he was watching failed to react to his taunting spit. It wasn't in the same way as the others in the bar, however; where the regular patrons pointedly avoided looking at him, feigning ignorance to his disdain in an effort to avoid any further untoward attention, the newcomer seemed to act like he simply didn't think there was anything worth reacting to. Smug little bastard, Shoshu thought. Perhaps the fellow was used to that sort of thing, and was immune to such simple goading. Or perhaps he figured there was just nothing to fear. Shoshu's single fist silently curled, and he had to consciously loosen it as the man approached. He kept his face studiously blank instead of returning the offered smile.

At the invitation for a drink, he pointedly met and held the man's eyes—turquoise, like the calm, shallow waters of a tropical coast—then looked him up and down. Tall, athletic. And that silver hair... Eventually, without saying anything, Shoshu nodded. Not taking his eyes off of the man, he reached behind him and pulled the four glasses out of the approaching bartender's hands, ignoring the man's hissed intake of breath. Then he met the newcomer's eye again and nodded back to the table where the two other patrons sat watching after they'd been offered drinks as well.

Pushing himself away from the bar with his hip, he strolled casually across the room and deposited the four glasses, one in front of each of the locals and the other two on opposite sides of the small round table, for himself and the newcomer. He dragged a chair over from the next table, its feet screeching loudly across the floor and motioned at the last space on the table for Tenzin to come and join them. Assuming he did begin moving that direction, Shoshu would sit down, quite uninvited by the two locals who now sat rigid, anxious, and silent. Shoshu began to smile, but it was a cold smile that did not quite reach his eyes.

"So," he rasped, and pushed his glass forward to be filled, "tell us about yourself, stranger. What brings you all the way out here to our thriving metropolis?" The emphasis he laced onto the last two words revealed just how little he thought of the small village. But all the while as he sat and spoke, his eyes were alert and watching, and his mind was racing. Something about the man's silver hair, or perhaps the eyes, still nagged at him... Had he seen them before...?

The Fukusha will pair their feet in an L stance, and have a casual movement to them despite their mind being on edge. This stance is typically used to lull opponents into thinking the user is relaxed as their feet are paired shoulder width apart, and knees slightly bent for immediate leverage when needed. Eye Can't Believe it

The bar wasn't much, but it was indeed a great local watering hole. Chairs and tables were old, some stains from either blood or beer, and the locals themselves were a finite amount but clearly knew each other. With the stale smell in the air, Tenzin gazed over with his turquoise eyes and silver hair. He tried to be nonchalant about taking tabs of everyone in the place. A pseudo smile always did one of two things, it provided a false sense of security for the people around him. However, to the trained eye it would provide unease and discomfort.

Through the peripherals, Tenzin took note of the one armed man clenching his only fist. To the leaf shinobi, he couldn't gauge if this man already made him or if he simply had an axe to grind with the world. If it was the latter, Tenzin would respect the metal mindset. The shinobi watched as the one armed angsty man grabbed the glasses and signaled him to come over. The loud screeching of the chair was clearly a point of contention that Tenzin wasn't quite ready for yet. The room still incredibly tense, he strolled with the fake smile over to the misbehaved man-child. Acting as if nothing happened, the anbu agent took a seat near the angry man. As he sat in the wobbly chair, a slight crooked noise came from it. He could feel the age from the uncleaned wood.

To Tenzin's surprise, the cold man spoke up first. This opportunity was something the shinobi couldn't pass up. His once fake smile actually turned into something real. However, what was a felt genuine had the darkest of intentions. After the war the shinobi's life and view of life changed drastically. He always strived to do good and protect his village. With those fading years his skewed view still is relatively in the same camp, but now he wishes to increase himself as a warrior by whatever-means-necessary. He has performed a few surgeries on Konoha based shinobi in order to help expand their horizons and elevate them to a new level. This followed by doing experiments on the left over bodies has allowed the man to take a great interest in what others are capable of. If the rumors were true, then the man to his right with a missing arm truly intrigued him.

With a sniffle and a smile, Tenzin started by looking at Shoshu. With a slight tilt and moving his head back and forth, Tenzin would make it clear that he was including everyone in the conversation. "Oh well thank you for the warm welcome. My name is Taku I'm coming back from Dragon's Breath. Believe it or not I just started a spa over there and it is going exceptionally well." He would reach for the pitcher and begin to pour drinks into the mugs for everyone as he continued speaking. "This place was on my way to gather some materials and I figured that I deserved to celebrate a little bit." After he finished pouring he covered his face. "I embarrassingly am also trying to promote my place as well. I've been stopping at different bars every time I travel to buy drinks and talk about my new spa." Tenzin would slightly turn to the bartender and then the last two people sitting at the other table. "Come on over guys I would like to give a toast and then get to learn more about all of you"

In hopes that nothing got interrupted everyone would bring what they were drinking and walk on over. Even the bartender reluctantly would pour himself his own drink before swiftly walking over. This gave the impression and confirmed Tenzin's suspicions. Not a lot of people come to this bar and it was clear that this for the most part was almost everyone. Tenzin's right hand would be scratching the back of his head, while his mug would be held with his left hand. As Tenzin spoke, he softened his voice a little bit, making it only slightly harder to hear. During Tenzin's speech, the people of the bar might be more inclined to lean in to make sure they hear everything the man had to say.......

Shoshu all but ignored the other men around the table once the silver-haired man sat down, and masked a scoff at his own words being taken as any sort of welcome. To hide it he quickly knocked back the first glass of sake almost as soon as the man's hand had moved from pouring it. Taku, huh. He placed the glass back down and pushed it a few inches towards "Taku", silently but rudely asking for a premature refill, and watched the man closely.

This... wasn't right. Shoshu cocked his head and a smile crept onto his face. He didn't reach for a weapon—not yet—but the thought was certainly circling in his mind. For now he left his hand visible, unthreatening around the glass, but ready to move. Not a soul around the table or bar would meet his eye—nor even Taku's, it seemed, now that Shoshu was involved—but still the man smiled and spoke lightly as if in pleasant company. And all the while the palpable tension in the bar grew and grew until the air between the two men felt as thick as jelly. But as if compelled by the unusual goings-on, or perhaps afraid of what may happen if they ignored the invitation, the other locals and bartender slowly approached and sat regardless. Shoshu's smile grew, picturing in his mind's eye their fears made manifest. Perhaps, logically, he shouldn't have turned back from that dark alley, but right now, in the moment of calm before what he thought was going to become an inevitable storm, he was glad.

Only a blind, deaf, fool could miss the atmosphere of the room, but Taku stood ignoring it all. It was this that finally convinced Shoshu that the man was indeed more than he seemed; and the rogue Fukusha intended now to find out just how much more.

"Why don't we start with a toast to our new friend?" He rasped, the burn scars on his face pulling tight from the smile. That, at least, was genuine, though not for the reason he seemed to advertise. A moment of whimsy took him as tried to meet Taku's eye; what matter if the man learned too much for safety? It was already decided in the Fukusha's mind that the man would not be leaving intact. "I am called Shoshu. What say we give him a good old Seledar welcome, eh boys?" He glanced around the table, but didn't much care what anyone else answered anyway.

He tapped his glass on the middle of the table again lightly for a refill, and tensed. Time to move. He was waiting and hoping that "Taku" would maintain his mask just long enough to begin pouring him another drink, and as soon as the silver-haired man leaned forward over the table to do so, Shoshu would pounce. He'd simultaneously kick the flimsy chair out from beneath Taku, splintering the wood and unbalancing his victim, and also crunch his hand closed to shatter the glass, keep hold of a large shard, and ram it forward into one of the man's turquoise eyes in the same moment as the man fell or tried to catch himself...

Eye Can't Believe it

Post by Texas » Sun Feb 26, 2023 5:40 pm

Tenzin kept his guard up as he poured the shots. He knew that whether it was this man or himself, he would need to just be slightly prepared. With all the preperation in the world, the silver haired man was not fully ready for the strike that was about to happen. Although he tried to use his arm nearest to the man to stop this attack, he was slightly to slow to do so. This resulted in Tenzin falling down. He would use his left arm to catch himself, however since he was watching the one armed man, he knew that a strike was coming. While the shinobi was falling he would begin to channel chakra throughout his body.

The blue eyed anbu agent used his free right arm to stop the man from stabbing his eye. However, the man was a little bit stronger. Tenzin could feel that he was gaining distance towards him. However, he utilized the channeled chakra to release a jutsu on the ground that he was touching with his left hand. As the jutsu released, Tenzin would hope that the shock (pun intended) would cause the man to hesitate for only a second. He would use the slight leverage he has to kick his right leg up in order to push the man from himself.

Whether or not getting the man fully off of him was successful or not, the electrical current that would take over the ground would be extremely strong and would cover the area incredibly fast. This electricity would take hold of everyone within the building starting to shock those who were not trained as a shinobi and could counter it. Tenzin would release his left hand making himself fall. If the man was still on him or not, the shinobi would swing his bent free arm and twist his hand. This technique would cause a current of electricity from his left side to rush forward towards the one armed shinobi.

Raiton • Clinging Lightning
C-Ranked Ninjutsu Technique
After perfoming the proper hand signs or channeling chakra, the user places their hand on a surface. Within a 30m coverage, the raiton surges from the user's hand and covers that surface. Any where from a room, to a large wall, ceiling, ground, etc. The covering of raiton forms at a speed equal to the user's [Control] stat]. The strength of the electricity throughout the surface is dictated by the [Control] stat as well. This shroud of electricity lasts for 10 posts unless dissipated by the user.

*[Levitakinesis]
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Having achieved notable mastery over Raiton, the user is capable of shaping, directing, and manipulating existing bodies of the element without the need of hand seals or an existing technique. The range at which the user can manipulate the element is equal to the user's [Control x 2m]. While the user can freely manipulate this element, they cannot produce the element naturally.

Eye Can't Believe it

Post by Valkier » Tue Mar 21, 2023 5:04 pm

A wild, eager grin spread across Shoshu's face as "Taku" resisted, the two trained killers locked in a momentary grapple of contesting strength. And Shoshu was stronger; millimetre by millimetre, the shard of glass crept closer and closer to Taku's eye. Shoshu found himself hungry to feel the tug of its entry, to see the pop and spurt of the clear fluid and the warm spray of blood behind... Until the moment was interrupted by the glow of chakra beginning to shine from his adversary across the table. Channeling.

Growling, Shoshu reacted in kind, first sending a spark of chakra to his eyes to awaken his fabled Tsuyoi Shōgō-zumi. His pupils blurred, spinning and twisting into new shapes as the sclera flashed to bright purple. And the power! Ecstasy filled his body as the eyes awoke, like fire in his veins urging him to act. To kill. He stoked his chakra reserves into a frenzy, beginning to channel his own technique while still trying to push the glass shard forward and keep Taku occupied, but now with even more strength than before. He had no idea what the man was casting, but whatever it was, he wanted to be ready for it—or perhaps even finish the brawl before he could find out. The battle opened up on a second front as both men channeled simultaneously, but Shoshu didn't need to direct much power into his technique; it was relatively simple, but would give him a large edge in this close-quarters brawl.

His own technique would finish ahead of Taku's, the glow fading from Shoshu as a new arm solidified from twisting blue chakra to replace the one he'd lost all those years ago. Two more arms appeared simultaneously below the first set, and Shoshu's smile turned grim with determination. His new right arm shot forward to seize Tenzin's left hand and try to destabilise him again, to try and keep him under control as much as possible. The lower left arm tried to ram home the glass shard, adding a second set of force behind Shoshu's real left arm holding the shard and hopefully overpower Taku. The lower right arm took a firm grasp on Taku's shirt and tried to lift and pull him in the opposite direction, towards the shard and up and away from the floor.

But Taku's left hand was faster, and while Shoshu tried to grab the man, the lightning flew from Taku's fingers and coursed down into the ground, electrifying the floor of the entire bar. Shoshu fell after him, pulled with the man's motion while trying to maintain their grapple. Funny, a fleeting though skittered across his mind, even as the raiton surged up and into his body and caused him to howl out in pain, I thought I'd be the one attacking the other patrons![ The paralysing electricity took hold, locking Shoshu's muscles and grip in place as he clung onto Tenzin. But he was no spring chicken. This was far from his first brawl. He strained at the effort of trying to tear his muscles back into motion, relying on the strength of his battle-hardened body to obey. It was excruciating, but slowly, gradually, he could just about move through the pain and shocks. At least he didn't have to worry about losing his grip on his opponent, with most of his muscles so taut and locked.

With tortuous effort, Shoshu tried to twist just enough movement from his raiton-locked joints to rotate on one ankle and haul Taku with him, attempting to spin and slam the other man down onto the lightning-filled ground. Meanwhile, he'd keep a grip on both of Taku's arms with one each of his own, trying to prevent the man from weaving any seals or motioning with his hands. If the throw was successful, Shoshu would abandon the small glass shard—this fight would be decided by better weapons soon enough—and instead use his upper and lower left arms to try and swipe Taku's guard aside and slam down into the man's chest, trying to wind and stun him to open up an opportunity...

Shoshu is activating his eyes, boosting to:

Endurance: 45
Control: 45
Strength: 45
Speed: 45
Willpower: 45
And attempting to form his extra arms and grapple Tenzin to keep him from acting, while trying to endure the intense lightning
