Aisu Naohiro slowed and slipped a hand free from the folds of a sand-toned overcloak, raising it silently to his side. Behind him, the shuffling footsteps of a score of soldiers ceased, each crouching and scanning their surroundings with wary eyes. Naohiro, too, was on full alert. He slowly unwound the cloth wrapping around his face enough to reveal his nose and mouth, then breathed in strongly, searching for any sign of danger. His pale skin shone in the intense sun, and the dry, desert air still felt odd. Foreign. After a moment, the squad lieutenant shuffled up and took a knee beside him.
“Problem, Sir?”
Naohiro waited a moment longer, scanning the horizon and listening to the rushing whisper of wind over the dunes nearby, before eventually shaking his head. His senses were all backwards here, so far from the wetlands and coasts of Water Country, and this wasn’t the first time he’d been needlessly alarmed by the sounds and smells of the lifeless desert here on the continent. He’d been assigned to lead this scouting party to the west of the main Water Country host, but so far he’d found the barren desert expanses of western Oasis Country a jarring change in environment—and he wasn’t the only one. Perhaps that was why a shinobi had been brought in. They were now three days out from their coastal landing and staging point, shadowing the main army on a flank to report advance news of any enemy movement, but had seen little—too little. Deep within the golden deserts of Oasis, and against enemy warriors well adjusted to such environments, Naohiro found their peace difficult to trust. For the last day and night he’d had a suspicion that they were indeed being tracked, likely followed by a rival scouting unit from Wind Country samurai approaching from the western border to defend this tactical corridor and trade hub between themselves and Fire Country beyond.
“No, it’s nothing.” He eventually murmured, and glanced over at the lieutenant while rewinding the cloth wrap around his face and adjusting the camouflage cloak until he was almost indistinguishable from the samurai behind him. The cloth helped ease the oppressive heat of the sun and offered protection against the violent sand-laden winds which now and again whipped at the group, but which also, vitally, helped keep the group hidden. A keen eye might’ve spotted that Naohiro alone of the group was not sweating beneath the wraps.
“We continue. Not far, now. Keep your eyes peeled.” He rose and continued walking, and soon the muffled clinking and huffing of armoured men began to follow after.
Four hours later, as the bloated red sun was sinking towards the horizon, the small group emerged from a dune corridor in the endless sand sea out into a small depression in the land. Here, sheltered from the winds in a natural basin, lay a small oasis ringed with a spray of greenery and a few trees offering valuable shade and shelter. He slowed long enough to fall into step beside the lieutenant following him, and explained briefly how the main waterway that split Oasis Country wasn’t much further ahead, and that small havens like this would dot the surrounding landscape. They were the only respite from the desert heat until one reached the main river, and were perfect resting and hiding points for a force such as theirs. But also perfect ambush points.
Despite the risk, however, their men were hot and tired from the long days of scouting, especially in terrain so unsuited for horses that they travelled afoot. As they grew closer to the small oasis, the lieutenant divided their party into five units, each of four men, and tasked four of the groups to range further north, south, east and and west respectively to secure their perimeter and identify any hiding opposing forces. The last group, including the lieutenant and Naohiro, would remain to set up a rudimentary camp and rest, ready to rotate into a later watch. For his part, Naohiro only took a few minutes to slake his thirst and eat before pulling out a roll of maps and checking in with each scouting group through his remote fuuinjutsu seals on each man…

A skilled ninjutsu user, Naohiro prefers to engage his foes at medium range and ensnare them in a web of techniques ready to catch them off-guard. While competent fighting in close-quarters, he tends to do so with supplementary ninjutsu techniques rather than relying on raw physical prowess alone. Regardless, he generally takes on a central role in a battlefield and attempts to aid his comrades by occupying the attentions of his opponents or by identifying and striking at vulnerabilities. He is adept at analysing and judging the flow of a battle, and believes strongly in strategy on the field.
/ Tools and Equipment
- Flak Jacket: Naohiro wears a Kirigakure flak jacket as part of his standard mission attire. The jacket is dyed a deep midnight blue and covers the entirety of Naohiro’s torso and back from shoulder to beltline, with side protection, shoulder pads, upper arm guards, thigh pads and a stiff collar. The vest is padded with tightly woven high-strength fiber and is reinforced with a fine internal steel mesh, protecting the wearer from stabbing, slashing, and blunt force impacts with a strength of 50. The vest weighs around 12kg, but offers many practical pockets and concealed pouches within which equipment can be stored and readily accessed.
- Protective Trousers: Naohiro's dark trousers are custom-made from the same fiber and mesh as his flak jacket, but thinner, more flexible, and sheathed with a smooth material that minimises the sounds of movement. Several dark, dull metal plates are sewn into the outer layer, concealed and interspaced to provide excellent protection without the clinking noise of touching plates. These trousers cover him from ankle to belt and provide a protection of 50 strength against attacks.
- Kaguya Bone Ghost Senbon: A set of 5 specialized Senbon imbued with special chakra. giving the set two different effects. When thrown it will cause for the thrower to become invisible to the naked eye for the next four posts as long as the thrower does not exceed 1/3 of their [Speed]. The needles themselves are able to alter their course of flight to home in on their intended target for the next two posts but are unable to make radical changes in their course of flight. Able to swerve left and right up to forty-five degrees in flight to respond changes from the target and to bypass objects that come between the target and the weapon.
- Kunai ×12: Ten are stored in Naohiro's kunai pouch on his right thigh. One is kept in his left trouser pocket, and one concealed beneath the lower back of his vest at waist height.
- Shuriken ×12: Three are kept available in each of Nao's left and right trouser pockets. The remaining six are kept in his kunai holster on his thigh.
- Explosive Tag ×6: Stored in small scroll compartments within his vest pockets.
- Flash Tag ×4: Stored in small scroll compartments within his vest pockets.
- Smoke Bomb ×5: Stored in small scroll compartments within his vest pockets.
- Blank Scroll ×6: Stored in small scroll compartments within his vest pockets. Each scroll is six inches in height and, when unrolled, three feet in length.
- Waterskin, 0.5gal (2¼L): Kept inside his vest.
- Reinforced rope (12m): A long, thin coil of white rope consisting of a 3mm diameter steel ninja-wire core surrounded by 2mm of fine woven white hemp fibres. The steel core grants the rope incredibly high tensile strength and durability, making it resistant to slicing and snapping while allowing it to be a fraction of the diameter of an equivalent-strength standard rope. Naohiro keeps this tied around his waist, woven into the shape of a fashionable belt.
- Fine-toothed comb ×1: The mandatory accessory of any Aisu that has a shred of pride, this comb has been carved from a single small shark bone and has had the Aisu crest carved into its bleached white spine. Five inches in length, it is usually kept in Hiro's right trouser pocket.
- 14m clean white bandages: These bandages have been pre-soaked in a sterilising alcohol solution, ensuring their suitability for field medicine in a pinch. 4m of bandages are wrapped around each of Naohiro's ankles, with a further 6m wrapped around his right thigh beneath his kunai pouch.
Through a genetic mutation, members of the Aisu clan are able to simultaneously use the elements of Suiton and Fuuton to create Hyouton, or Ice Release. Capable of rapidly reducing the temperature of objects, and even the air around them to freeze defenses and create weaponry from moisture in the air.

Suiton has a passive enveloping effect. Passive (Enveloping)Show Suiton's effect is enveloping, meaning that suiton passively surrounds anything that it makes contact with. Suiton techniques that do not last over periods of time (i.e. exploding techniques) drench their opponents, but long term techniques will envelop anything they come in contact with and maintain a hold on it with 3/4's the strength of the technique, rounded down. Fuuton AffinityShow Fuuton Affinity A character with this concentration is able to utilize Fuuton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Fuuton affinity. Fuuton has an cutting effect. Passive (Cutting)Show Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as an offensive defense. The user can channel any Ninjutsu that is designed to be channeled, and there are no specified parameters in which a jutsu must fall to be channeled by this method. Sensory NinjutsuShow Sensor Sensors are shinobi who are able to activate a sixth sense which can locate and read chakra sources. Sensory is advantageous as it allows shinobi to perceive without using any of their conventional senses, which can easily be deceived. Sensors are able to collect a lot of information through the interpretation of this sixth sense. Jikukan NinjutsuShow Jikukan Ninjutsu Practitioners of this art are able to manipulate Space/Time to create localized pockets within either, or both, that they have control over. Upon Aisu Naohiro’s tearing asunder of reality with Jikukan ninjutsu, the universe’s self-correction spun out the Fragment as a parallel, personal realm. The Fragment consists of a vast floating ice crystal hanging in an endless void of space, it’s many facets forming an oval gem-like structure some 200 x 200 x 200 metres in size, lit from within and without by a steady ethereal light.
Naohiro’s penchant for Hyouton ninjutsu is evident within his realm; the crystal and its contents are frigid to the touch and shine in a kaleidoscopic range of whites and blues reminiscent of real ice, and exert a continuous aura of Hyouton’s Cooling passive through the entire structure, dropping the ambient temperature to as low as -30C. Being the both the Architect of the realm and naturally attuned to Hyouton, Naohiro experiences negligible effects of the cooling and can choose to extend this resistance to other willing persons entering the realm. All others suffer a continual drain of -5 Endurance per post within the realm, stacking for up to 4 posts.
The giant crystal is largely semi-translucent, though many internal features are an opaque white or fully see-through, revealing a helical structure of chambers, stairs, corridors and rooms all of the same freezing, flawlessly beautiful faceted crystal. Beyond the outer walls of the crystal is an imagined backdrop of deep space; some parts are a black and featureless void, while in other quadrants lie distant nebulae, stars, and numerous astronomical oddities. Forever out of reach but always tempting the eye, they represent Naohiro’s ceaseless curiosity and pursuit of bigger questions. The crystal, by contrast, is a world in which he is the master; his heart, blood, and mind made manifest. The thick gleaming walls of ice respond to his touch and thought, growing, shattering, twisting and solidifying to his whim at the speed of his [control], and are impervious to damage. At its core is a pillar of vibrant white light running the height of the crystal, bathing any central chambers in powerful illumination—to the point that the innermost heart of the crystal can be formed into a near-featureless pure white chamber where shadow does not exist—and fading in intensity to that of an overcast sky at the crystal’s edge. Though their position, size, and exact makeup shifts with Naohiro’s influence, the crystal typically houses a number of standard chambers and passages. These include:
Storage & Force FuuinjutsuShow Storage & Force Fuuinjutsu This user is able to utilize Storage Fuuinjutsu and Force Fuuinjutsu, making it possible for them to utilize any jutsu with the Storage or Force Classification. Storage Fuuinjutsu can be used to store supplies, weapons, armor, or anything in between. Force Fuuinjutsu are used to release, counteract, and capture energy. D-Rank: 7 [Ninjutsu • Chakra Burst] D-Rank Ninjutsu After channeling chakra into a fist, arm, foot, or other body part, the user will then attempt to strike their target. Upon contact or at will, they can release a concussive force in the form of an outward explosion at [control] strength from that body part, which travels outwards at [control] speed to a range of 3m. If the user does not strike a target within 3 posts the jutsu dissipates. *[Ninjutsu • Tracking Device] D-Ranked Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user will coat one of their hairs in chakra. Once this has been done, they will place it on their target. The user can track the exact location of the strand of hair for up to 10 meters. For up to 20 meters out, the user can track a rough location. From then out to 100 meters, the user just gets a general direction of where the opponent is. The chakra in the hair will dissipate at the end of 6 posts. [Ninjutsu • Shinobi's Hand] D-Rank Ninjutsu With a short set of hand seals, the user can instantly summon a single one of their own weapons, tools, or objects no larger than 30cm in size from within two metres of their position or on their person, to appear in their hand ready for use. *[Ninjutsu • Wall] D-Rank Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user causes a thin 3x3x1 meter flat barrier to form within 10 meters of them at [Control] Speed and has [Control] Strength. It lasts for 3 posts. [Ninjutsu • Threshold] D-Rank Ninjutsu Following a short series of handseals the user focuses a small amount of chakra into one of their own pre-existing barrier techniques, causing a rectangular rent in the technique that serves as a doorway and allows safe passage into and out of the barrier. The maximum size of the rent is 2x2x2m, it lasts until the end of the post in which it is made, and can be opened in barriers up to 15m away from the users position. [Ninjutsu • Amplify] D-Rank Ninjutsu The user performs a quick set of hand seals before placing two fingers to their throat, infusing a small amount of chakra to their voicebox. For the next 4 posts, they can choose to greatly amplify their voice and carry it over longer distances than ordinarily possible. Within 2x [control] metres, the user can be heard as if they were standing beside a target. [Ninjutsu • Reinforce] D-Rank Ninjutsu After performing the required hand seals, the user can touch an existing technique, imbuing it with additional chakra to reinforce it. By maintaining focus and continuing to funnel chakra, the target technique can be strengthened by +[control] strength for as long as the user focuses. Should the user cease contact, the target technique will only be strengthened by +1/2 [control] for up to 4 posts. ~ F Ū I N J U T S U ~ Sealing Techniques D-Rank: 6 *Storage Fuuinjutsu • Tool Storage D-Rank Fuuinjutsu After drawing a seal formula on a surface, ensuring it is large enough for the object that is about to be stored. The user will then begin placing the object into the seal. The user can only seal objects up to their ([Control]*2)m^3 in size. *Force Fuuinjutsu • Explosive Tag D-Rank Fuuinjutsu After drawing a ([Control]/5)x([Control]/5) meter seal formula on a surface of an object. The user will then arm it with their chakra up to [Control] strength with a concussive force explosion outwards from itself. *Storage Fuuinjutsu • Sealing Defense D-Rank Fuuinjutsu By having an empty surface with a seal formula placed on it, the user is able to use the seal as a defensive measure. Holding a single, one-handed hand seal, the user attempts to block the incoming projectile with the surface. Right before contact is actually made, the projectile will be sealed into the seal. While strong, the seal must be the same size or larger than the projectile it is attempting to seal. This seal can protect up to the user’s [Control] in Strength. Once used to seal and then release again, the seal will need to be rewritten. The user can only seal objects up to their ([Control]*2)m^3 in size. *Charge Fuuinjutsu • Air Seal D-Rank Fuuinjutsu A truly unique move in that it can be used alongside other Fuuinjutsu, by channeling into their finger as they draw in the air directly in front of them, the user releases raw chakra the lingers for a small amount of time, allowing it to be used as a seal formula. Alternatively the user can also do hand seals and place their hands forward, causing a seal to burst to life in the air in front of them. This technique consumes chakra equal to the cost of the technique. *Fuuinjutsu • Removal D-Rank Fuuinjutsu After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will hold their hand over a seal, and begin to remove it. This removal will be successful as long as the user has more [Control] than that of which the Fuuinjutsu was sealed with. *Charge Fuuinjutsu • Barrier Trap D-Rank Fuuinjutsu After placing four barrier tags in a square, the user draws a line connecting each of the tags. When kai'd, all the tags are set off simultaneously throwing up a barrier at a strength and speed of the user’s [Control]. This barrier lasts for 4 posts. C-Rank: 4 Storage Fuuinjutsu • Containment C-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu After drawing a seal formula on a surface, up to 5x5x5m in size, the user forms the needed hand seals and can store an object up to that size within the seal, after which the seal condenses to the shape of the object stored. The user can perform Kai at to retrieve a stored object. *Augment Fuuinjutsu • Link C-Rank Fuuinjutsu By performing the necessary hand seals, the user will then touch their target’s ear and on the lips, this creates an audio link between themselves and any targets they personally place this seal combination on. While hearing is always active, channeling chakra into the seal allows affected targets to speak, their words being stored and transmitted to the other seals. The act of speaking charges negligent chakra. *Storage Fuuinjutsu • Depth Seal C-Rank Fuuinjutsu After drawing a seal of appropriate size for the object but no larger than 1 meter, the user is able to store things at depth within this seal to near limitless lengths. The user is able to store up to [Control]/2 of the same item within this seal regardless of the depth of the surface. *Augment Fuuinjutsu • Strengthen and Enhance C-Rank Fuuinjutsu After drawing the necessary seals on the object, the user will imbue the object with a strength equal to their [Control]. The size of this fuuinjutsu is contextual in terms of the object it is applied to and the strength it is enhanced to. For example, if imbued with 50 strength the object will have 90% of its surface space covered, while if only imbued with 25 strength roughly under half of its surface space would be taken up by the seal. B-Rank: 2 Augment Fuuinjutsu • Group Link B-Rank Fuuinjutsu By performing the necessary hand seals, the user will can touch a number of targets up to their [Chakra Pool] on their ear and the lips, this creates an audio link between themselves and up to [Chakra Pool] targets they personally place this seal combination on. While hearing is always active, channeling chakra into the seal allows affected targets to speak, their words being stored and transmitted to the other seals. The act of speaking charges negligent chakra. *Charge Fuuinjutsu • Scarlet Fever B-Rank Fuuinjutsu The user will perform the necessary hand seals, as they then touch the ground a [Control] meter box appearing around them with a seal in each corner. Once activated, the jutsu will create a perimeter. Within the perimeter, no one is able to hear or see anything, and is completely unable to talk. Exiting the perimeter immediately returns these senses, however. This perimeter remains in place for 10 posts, but destroying one of the seals will deactivate it. IijutsuShow
~ I I J U T S U ~ Medical Techniques E-Rank: 3 *[Iijutsu • Thermometer] E-Rank Ninjutsu This simple technique is utilized by medical-nin in place of traditional thermometers, although it is not as accurate. After forming a single handseal and focusing chakra into an object in his/her hand, the user can place it within the mouth (or rear) of the patient. If the patient's temperature is above normal body temperature, the chakra within the object will clump together near the top of it, while if the body temperature is below average, the chakra will form much lower down on the object. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra. *[Iijutsu • Chakra Gloves] E-Rank Ninjutsu When real latex gloves are not on hand, the *[Iijutsu • Chakra Gloves] technique comes in quite handy. After forming a single handseal, the user will focus chakra into his/her hands to form a thin layer of chakra around them. This chakra will help to protect other objects against the bacteria on the user's hands if sterilization is not an option before beginning a procedure. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra. *[Iijutsu • Chakra Mask] E-Rank Ninjutsu Not unlike the *[Iijutsu • Chakra Gloves] technique, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Mask] shines when the real deal is not on hand. After forming a single handseal, the user will focus chakra into the area around his/her mouth and nose to form a thin layer of chakra around them. This chakra will help to keep the user from breathing bacteria onto a patient during procedures. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra. D-Rank: 6 *[Iijutsu • Sterilization Technique] D-Rank Ninjutsu As sanitation cannot always be guaranteed in field operations, this technique provides a quick substitute to traditional sterilization methods. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel the chakra throughout his/her upper body (torso, arms, hands, face). This chakra will chew away at harmful bacteria and other foreign bodies on the skin, cleansing it until it is thoroughly sterile, and can be spread to objects, most commonly surgical tools. Of course, this takes both concentration and time, and in order to sterilize the entire upper body, it will take a duration of one (1) post. Users of this technique can also choose to sterilize certain parts of their upper body or the wounds of another person instead for a lesser concentration period. Once they are sanitized, they remain this way until coming in contact with more bacteria. *[Iijutsu • Oxygen Flow] D-Rank Ninjutsu Simple in its form yet highly effective in practice, the *[Iijutsu • Oxygen Flow] technique allows its users to clear obstructed airways, to perform less extensive CPR, and to give cells the oxygen they crave. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place both over the target's chest (through the back works as well). By allowing the chakra to be channeled throughout the lungs and up through the air ways, any unseen, solid or liquid obstructions will be cleared from these passages and ejected through the mouth, allowing the patient to breathe more easily. Additionally, the hands can be placed over the heart to help oxygenate the body's cells. In this instance, users must be much more careful, as over-oxygenating cells can cause more harm than good. This technique takes the entirety of one post to perform. *[Iijutsu • Blood Clot Technique] D-Rank Ninjutsu This highly useful field technique is applied to bleeding wounds to help encourage the coagulation of the blood. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them over the bleeding wound and begin to channel chakra through it. The chakra will began to thicken the blood, causing it to clot. Wounds must be dealt with one at a time, and the number of wounds that can be tended to within the three (3) posts that this technique lasts depends on their size. Small wounds take very little time to clot, while moderate wounds take one (1) post of concentration to clot, and large wounds take two (2) posts to clot. Although this technique stops the bleeding, the wound remains vulnerable and will require further care after this has been performed. *[Iijutsu • Burn Ointment Technique] D-Rank Ninjutsu A relatively simple and handy technique to have at hand, *[Iijutsu • Burn Ointment Technique] is used to alleviate pain caused by burn wounds. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them above the burn wound. As the chakra is channeled into and around the burn, it cools the area and works to prevent harmful, scar-producing blistering in the affected area. To provide this soothing relief to small areas of first degree burns, it's fairly quick to do. For small areas of second degree burns, it takes one (1) post of concentration to achieve the same effects. This technique is ineffective when applied to larger areas or burns worse than second degree. *[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] D-Rank Ninjutsu When traditional stitching supplies aren't available, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] truly shines. After performing a short set of handseals, the user will gently place his/her index finger at the base of the patient's wound. Once this is done, the user will lift his/her finger and touch it to the other side of the wound, causing a visible 'stitch' of chakra to appear. This is repeated until the wound has been pulled together. Although precision is key, this technique can still be performed relatively quickly. Small to moderate wounds take very little time to stitch, while large wounds will take one (1) post of work to mend. This technique drains a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attached to in order to keep the stitches going, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single handseal. Any intensive or strenuous movements will cause the stitches to break. *[Iijutsu • Bandage Technique] D-Rank Ninjutsu Prerequisite: *[Iijutsu • Sterilization Technique] A simple yet vital medical technique, the *[Iijutsu • Bandage Technique] provides its users with the ability to create makeshift bandages out of any suitable material they desire. After channeling chakra into an object (such as a leaf, piece of cloth, etc.), the user is able to apply it to the wound of a patient. Once applied, the selected object will adhere to the flesh around the wound, protecting it from bacteria and other harmful foreign bodies. Objects used for the bandage technique are automatically sterilized in the process. These bandages drain a minuscule amount of chakra from the person it is attatched to in order to keep them stuck on, theoretically, ad-infinitum, and can be cancelled at any time by the user with a single handseal. While not as effective at stopping bleeding as the [Iijutsu • Chakra Stitching] technique, they hold on much better in the case that strenuous movement is necessary. C-Rank: 10 *[Iijutsu • False Death] C-Rank Ninjutsu Prerequisite: 5 Iijutsu This simple ninjutsu is comprised of the user's knowledge of the human body and the ability to mask all vital signs. By focusing chakra throughout the body to preserve its function while in this state, the user can appear to be dead as long as they have chakra to spare. This act can seem very realistic to the untrained opponent, but is foiled by sensor techniques, certain doujutsu and jutsu, and the *[Iijutsu • Medical Diagnosis Technique] technique. *[Iijutsu • Numbing] C-Rank Ninjutsu This field-oriented technique is used in place of typical anesthetics when they're not at hand. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place them over a group of muscles. As the chakra is channeled through the chosen area, numbness will begin to creep throughout it, beginning with the flesh before seeping into the muscle below. Small areas of numbness require very little time, while medium-sized areas (equivalent to half a limb) require one (1) post to numb, and anything larger than an entire limb requires two (2) posts of concentration to numb. This numbing begins where the user has placed his/her hands and spreads outward until the hands are removed. The numbness can only cause pain equivalent to being stabbed with a kunai to be nullified. Once numbed, the effects last for four (4) posts before fading. *[Iijutsu • Medical Diagnosis Technique] C-Rank Ninjutsu Prerequisite: 5 Iijutsu Perhaps one of the most important Iijutsu techniques to date, the *[Iijutsu • Medical Diagnosis Technique] allows its users to probe another's body in search for medical answers. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. Using this chakra as an internal extension of his/her hand to feel for abnormalities and other issues, the user is often able to determine the problem after some time and concentration. In order for a thorough examination to provide sufficient answers, the user will focus for up to one (1) post, seeking signs of internal and external damage, organ malfunction and disease among other ailments. Although skilled medical-nin have the possibility to work faster, skill cannot be substituted in for thoroughness. *[Iijutsu • Skin Generation] C-Rank Ninjutsu Often utilized by medical-nin to heal small, superficial wounds or for producing excess skin to use in skin grafts, the *[Iijutsu • Skin Generation] technique has its number of uses. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel it into a small area of skin cells on the patient's body. This chakra will force the skin cells to multiply at an ample rate by confusing this area of the body into its reconstruction stage that is achieved during slumber. As this is a type of regeneration, users must keep in mind that each cell draws from nutrients in the patient's body, and as such, too much can cause serious harm. In order to regenerate medium-sized areas of superficial wounds, it takes one (1) post of concentration. Areas smaller than this take considerably less time. In the case that the skin sample is separate from the body, the cells can be multiplied more quickly than they could be otherwise. These types of samples are generally use for skin grafts. The *[Iijutsu • Skin Generation] technique can be held for four (4) posts. *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique] C-Rank Ninjutsu A useful, but particularly taxing technique, the *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique] is performed on poisoned patients. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will make a small incision (with a knife, scalpel, etc.) on the patient and then place his/her hands over the new wound. As this chakra is channeled into the body, it extracts the poison out of it and into the user's palm. After one (1) post of the extraction process, the user will remove his/her hand, and place it over a container of some sort (anything that can bear liquid). From here, the liquid poison will be ejected from the hand along with the remaining chakra that was used to extract it. As this chakra interacts with the poison over the course of a second post, its molecules will be rearranged to form the antidote for the poison in question. This works only on C-Rank or lower poisons. The antidote takes a total of three (3) posts to fully rid the body of the poison. *[Iijutsu • Imperfect Cure] C-Rank Ninjutsu Prerequisite: *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique] Formulated to work in conjunction with the *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique], *[Iijutsu • Imperfect Cure] extends upon the antidote created in the aforementioned technique. Once the antidote has been concocted following the description of the *[Iijutsu • Basic Antidote Technique], the user will begin to channel additional chakra throughout the antidote to make it especially potent. This increased potency not only rids the body of the C-Rank or lower liquid poison that was in the body over the (3) posts it takes to work, but also induces an immunity in the patient which lasts for seven (7) posts. *[Iijutsu • Removal Technique] C-Rank Ninjutsu Prerequisite: *[Iijutsu • Blood Clot Technique] In the event that a foreign object gets lodged into a patient's body, such as the point of shuriken or a senbon, the *[Iijutsu • Removal Technique] can be utilized to retrieve it. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will place them on either side of the wound in question. From here, the medical-nin will carefully manipulate the surrounding tissues by channeling chakra into them, coaxing the foreign object to the surface of the wound in order to extract it. Users of this technique are advised to analyze the severity of the wound beforehand, as more complex wounds will take longer than the one (1) post of concentration needed to extract most objects from superficial to moderate wounds. This technique should be used in conjunction with a tissue regeneration technique or the *[Iijutsu • Blood Clot Technique]. The *[Iijutsu • Removal Technique] can be held for a maximum of four (4) posts. *[Iijutsu • Cleanse Technique] C-Rank Ninjutsu In the event that creating an antidote is not possible, users of this technique can still help their patient fight off toxins, infections and other foreign bodies. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into the patient's body. As this chakra flows into the body, the leukocytes will react to its presence and begin to multiply rapidly. This influx of white blood cells takes one (1) post of concentration to create. Over the course of five (5) posts, the new and old leukocytes are able to fight off poisons that are C-Rank and below that have entered the body. During these final five posts, the medical-nin does not need to continuously focus chakra into the patient. It will take care of itself at this point. *[Iijutsu • Burn Treatment] C-Rank Ninjutsu Prerequisite: *[Iijutsu • Burn Ointment Technique] A step up in the ability to treat burns, *[Iijutsu • Burn Treatment] is used to alleviate pain caused by burn wounds. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them above the burn wound. As the chakra is channeled into and around the burn, it cools the area and works to prevent harmful, scar-producing blistering in the affected area. To prepare for this procedure, the user must make a small incision into the patient's body and follow by opening a vein. Once the vein has been open, the user will begin to channel chakra into it. Over the course of one (1) post, the patient's blood will gain density and stabilize itself. Users of this technique must be aware that their own blood will dilute over the duration of this technique, as it is essentially transferring blood from their bodies to the patient's. No more than 1 liter (2 pints) of blood can be transferred using this technique without severe repercussions for the user. B-Rank: 3 *[Iijutsu • Bone Regeneration Technique] B-Rank Ninjutsu Although simple to explain, the *[Iijutsu • Bone Regeneration Technique] requires both skill and patience in order to mend the fractured or broken bones of patients. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will begin to channel it through the area of the break or fracture. As this chakra makes contact with the bone, it will stimulate the calcium production of the body and begin to mend the bone. To mend small-to-medium breaks, it takes one (1) post of concentration, while fractures are usually very quick to mend. Multiple breaks can be mended during the use of this technique as it lasts for a total of five (5) posts or until canceled. Users should beware that, like other regenerations of this kind, the nutrient stores of the patient's body are being depleted during its use, and too many uses of this technique in a short span of time can cause serious damage. [Iijutsu • Cryostasis] B-Rank Ninjutsu Prerequisites: Hyouton; 20 Iijutsu Combining an intimate knowledge of Iijutsu with the intense cooling power of Hyouton, the user can carefully channel large amounts of supercooled chakra directly into a willing or incapacitated person's body in order to rapidly cool it for the purposes of emergency preservation. Doing so can put a body into a forced medical stasis, preventing damage or decay to cells, organs, and tissue until thawed. While primarily aimed at preserving fresh corpses for transportation and study, the technique can, at great risk, be used on live patients in order to prevent fatal deterioration of a mortal wound, so long as it is used within 2 posts of the wound being taken. Doing so can stave off death for up to 4 posts. This technique must be repeated twice a day to properly preserve a body. Because of this, the user dedicates one point of their [chakra pool] to this technique until choosing to end it. A live patient that thaws following this technique will surely die unless immediately treated with A-rank or higher iijutsu techniques to heal both the initial wound and residual damage from the cooling. [Iijutsu • Lesser Mystical Palm] B-Rank Ninjutsu Prerequisite: 10 Iijutsu A lesser version of one of the almighty and most highly coveted abilities of medical-nin, the *[Iijutsu • Mystical Palm]. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will place them over the wound in question and begin to channel chakra through it. As the chakra interacts with the cells and tissues in the area, the wound will begin to regenerate and heal over until there's no remnant of it ever being there. The aura extends in a 5m radius from the user and is drawn to any living persons in that area, collecting over any injuries that they may have. As the chakra interacts with the cells and tissues in the area, the wounds will begin to regenerate and heal over until there's no remnant of it ever being there. To heal small-to-moderate wounds, it takes some time (3 posts), while large wounds take four (4) post of concentration to mend, and mortal wounds take a total of six (6) posts to fully mend. This technique lasts for seven (7) posts. Jikukan NinjutsuShow C-Rank: 4 Close Space: Seal Rift C-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu The user will focus chakra into their hands and reach out towards an existing Open Space technique, portal, or equivalent entity within 10 metres of them, pouring chakra out into the void and knitting the fabric of reality back into place, permanently closing and erasing the portal so long as the user’s [control] is equal or higher than used to create the portal. The portal closes at [control] speed as the universe readily self-corrects back to an inert state in the area. *Recycle Space: Projectile C-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu After throwing a projectile the user will do a short series of hand seals, ending with a single finger pointing at the small projectile(kunai, shuriken, etc.). Spontaneously a second projectile will form anywhere within 1m of the projectile in motion, moving at the same speed and strength as the original. After 3 posts the weapon will disappear as the universe self corrects. Open Space: Shift C-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu The user will focus chakra into their hands and sink them into the air before them, physically pulling open a small portal up to 2x2m in size. This portal can connect to a familiar location etched in Naohiro’s memory, to a point he can see within [control] metres of his current position, or into his personal realm as he so chooses, where an equivalent portal also appears. The tear in space opens at [control] speed, but is unstable and closes immediately after his passage, or after one post if not traversed. Expand Space: Penumbral Void C-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu The user extends their hands and pours Jikiton chakra out into a glowing stream ahead of them, which travels up to 15 metres away before spreading out and forming into a three-dimensional barrier extending up to 10 x 10 x 10 metres in size. This barrier is transparent, but distorts and bends all light travelling through it, making it appear like looking through a lens into shifting water. Within this barrier, space itself is expanded and warped into an extreme curvature, causing any physical or chakra-based entity that passes into or through the barrier to dramatically change its course—even though, from the point of view of an observer within the area, that course is still “straight”. For example, a kunai thrown into one side of the barrier on a straight trajectory would not leave the opposing side, but would instead emerge on one of the perpendicular sides of the area before continuing to fly straight. Anything that passes through the barrier on a straight course will be redirected onto a new trajectory 90 degrees away from its original path. This barrier forms at [control] speed and remains in place for up to [control]/5 posts. B-Rank: 3 *Tighten Time: Deteriorate B-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu The user will do a series of hand seals, then focus on a ninjutsu within 40m of their person. Any posts counts on that ninjutsu will be sped up by 4 posts. Should this go beyond the limit for that ninjutsu, it will end as it would had it reached completion. *Expand Time: Coagulation B-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu Focusing on a bleeding wound on themselves or someone else, the user will do a series of hand seals, then place their hand on the wound. Time around the wound will expand for 4 posts, halving the rate in which time flows for those 4 posts. This may give someone infected by a poison, or suffering from a major wound a longer chance to respond or seek treatment. Expand Space: Umbral Shroud B-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu Pre-requisite: Expand Space: Penumbral Void The user collects a large quantity of Jikiton chakra and creates an area of Penumbral Void expanded space, but tightly contains the area of the barrier technique into a thin shell that surrounds their own body, moulding to, and hovering an inch away from, their person. This mostly-transparent shell appears to be only a few inches thick from the outside, but physical space within the barrier is expanded by 10 metres and distorted to a staggering degree, causing any incoming physical or chakra-based entity to “flip” and return back directly towards the direction from which it originally entered the barrier, continuing on its remaining path without ever having come into contact with the user. This barrier forms at [control] speed and remains in place for up to [control]/3 posts. A-Rank: 2 *Open Space: Seeking Truth A-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu The user will do a series of hand seals, then reach out into the air in front of them and physically grab “space” pulling apart their two hands to tear apart Space right in front of them up to 3x3 meters. This tear is new, and will cause the universe to self correct and make a personal realm for the user. This technique is required for the user to have any techniques that involve the use of a personal realm. This technique can only be used once to create a personal realm, but can be used repeatedly in order to enter that realm. An Architect using this technique within their realm will merit no reaction, while using it within someone else’s realm will allow the user to enter their own. Specifics on the Realm can be found within the Jikukan spoiler. *Recycle & Open Space: True Link A-Rank Jikukan Ninjutsu The user will do a series of hand seals then place one hand on an any object small enough to fit in their grasp. Upon doing so, they will Recycle Space, creating an exact duplicate of that object. The duplicate of said object will act as an Anchor, turning both objects into links to each other. Should any party aside from the Architect come in contact with either anchor, they’ll be instantly transported to the other Anchor either a) they elect to or b) their control is less than the control of the Architect. ~ S U I T O N ~ Water Release D-Rank: 6 Water Whip D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu The user performs the needed seals and concentrates chakra into a hand, forming it into a sphere of water from which the shape of a long whip extends. The whip is 2.5cm in diameter, can reach up to 10 metres, and functions like a regular whip. It is able to impact with [control] strength and envelop. Being made of suiton, the whip can only be cut by attacks with a strength greater than the user's [control]. The whip lasts for 5 posts unless dismissed earlier. *Suiton • Defensive Barrier D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user will spray water created from the inside of their chest through their mouth. Once the water is expelled, it will form an umbrella shape that is concave to the user and about two meters in diameter. This defense is somewhat solid and can be formed in any direction the user can spit, up to 10 meters away. The defense is shot at [Control] Speed and has [Control] Strength and unless completely destroyed it lasts for three posts before falling lifelessly to the ground. *Suiton • Water Orb Technique D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a dense ball of water approximately 6 centimeters in diameter in their hands. Upon lurching forward, they will release the ball towards an opponent up to 10 meters away at [Control] Speed and Strength. *Suiton • Propel Leap D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After channeling chakra into their hands the user will fire two jets of water from their hand, essentially hurling and propelling themselves in the opposite direction of their jets as if thrown by [Control] Strength. *Suiton • Wet Spot D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user will expel a 3 meter diameter sphere of water from their mouth at [Control] Speed up to 10 meters away. Upon impact it will burst spilling all over the immediate area making it extremely slippery. Those without 5 Strength or higher will not be able to hold their footing on this wet spot and will slip around. Suiton • Mirrorpool D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After a short series of hand seals, the user sends Suiton chakra out into the ground beneath their feet and causes up to six 1m-diameter puddles to form on the ground around them, appearing randomly within a 10m range. These puddles have a flat, reflective surface, creating a mirror-like effect to any who look into them. The user's chakra within each puddle acts to counteract disturbances in the water, meaning splashes and waves do not disturb the mirror-like effect, instead only temporarily distorting it until the water rapidly settles back to smoothness. C-Rank: 5 *Suiton • Crashing Wave C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user expels a massive tidal wave of water 10 meters wide and nearly 5 meters tall. This wave travels forward at a [Control] Speed and Strength for up to 25 meters before losing it's steam and failing. *Suiton • Clone C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user creates a clone of themselves comprised completely of suiton chakra. This clone has the users stats. It lasts for [Control/5] posts. *Suiton • Pacifistic Domination C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu Created to safely incapacitate opponents, after performing the correct hand seals, if the opponent is within 25 meters and is standing a top a body of water with the user's chakra in it, the user will begin to churn their chakra causing the water to turn into a vortex and engulf the opponent, trapping them in a vortex about two meters in diameter. Once the target is inside, the user must hold the last seal and cannot use any other techniques, capable of holding this for up to five posts. In order to escape, the target must have at least [Control] strength to physically make their way out, or the user must be disrupted. Most shinobi would pass out after two posts due to a lack of oxygen. However, if a target possesses an Endurance stat higher than 10, it would require three posts for them to pass out. Should the target possess an Endurance stat above 20, it would require five posts for them to pass out, but anything higher than 30 would allow them to resist passing out altogether. *Suiton • Great Stream C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user expels a massive conical water torrent that drenches an area thoroughly, capable of soaking a meter down nearly instantly for soil and like materials. The cone has a base width of 15 meters and a range of 25 meters and travels at [Control] Speed, pushing things back with [Control] Strength. Suiton • Guardian Fountain C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu The user performs a series of hand seals before stamping a foot down onto the ground. At the point of impact, a gushing geyser will erupt with a speed of [control] and push the user upwards on its crest. The rising column of water has a strength of [control]. The geyser will grow to six metres in height and will then mushroom out in all directions horizontally with a radius of two metres, with the user standing atop it if they wish. This creates a great 25x25x25m quantity of water that gradually floods the area. B-Rank: 4 *Suiton • Water Dragon Projectile B-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user creates a dragon head of water. Once it has been created, the user can launch the three-meter diameter projectile towards a target at [Control] Speed and Strength for up to 40 meters. Following the head is a long body and tail, stretching nearly six-meters. During the course of it's travel, the user may alter the course of the dragon three times, allowing it to complete a U-turn per alteration. *Suiton • Water Encampment Wall B-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user will expel a large amount of water from their body as a sweeping defense against hostile techniques. The water from the technique forms a cylinder around the user at [Control] Speed, and flows around the user. It is approximately 7 meters around and 2 meters thick, leaving only the top unprotected. The wall has the ability to deflect things with [Control] Strength, but even if something break through, the walls thick nature makes traversing through the water fully troublesome. The wall lasts up to three posts unless dispelled earlier by the user or destroyed. Suiton • Mirrormere B-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the required hand seals, the user dumps a large quantity of Suiton chakra into the ground beneath their feet. Moments later, water will surge upwards out of the ground to form a large, circular lake centred around the user. The lake is only 5cm deep, but stretches out with a radius of 20m in all directions. The water features a smooth, reflective surface that behaves like a flawless mirror, and the presence of the user's chakra within the water counteracts any disturbances to the surface; splashes and waves do not disturb the mirror-like effect, instead only temporarily distorting it until the water settles again, which it does so with an unnatural speed at thrice as fast as regular water. *Suiton • Water Prison B-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the correct hand seals the user is able to spew a large ball of water that stands at three meters in diameter. This ball rolls forward at the desired target up to 40 meters away and at [Control] Speed. Should this strike the target, they will become engulfed within the sphere. However, if this manages to strike multiple targets, it will envelop them as well, up to a total of 3 prisoners. One can resist being pulled into the ball if they have a strength higher than [Control]. The trapped targets will spin with the sphere and may become nauseated and dizzy from the disorientation. The technique lasts for a total of 4 posts before bursting. A-Rank: 2 Suiton • Rising Cascade A-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu The user performs a series of hand seals and concentrates chakra into their mouth and lungs before spewing forth a torrential cascade of water ahead of them. The torrent erupts from the user in a cone at a speed and strength of [control], surging up to 65 metres away, 65 metres wide at its widest point and up to 15 metres deep. The water appears to move slowly, but with such momentum that it can tear down all but the strongest defences, persons, and structures in its path, pulling them down into its depths and binding them underwater with the strength of [control] for 6 posts. Each post that a target remains trapped in the water will sap them by -5 endurance, for up to a maximum of 4 posts. Suiton • The Drowned A-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu The user creates an exact clone replica of themselves comprised of suiton chakra. This clone shares the users stats and upon death will envelop a 2m diameter around it with suiton chakra at [caster stat total/5] strength and speed. Being made of liquid, the clone is resistant to physical attacks, its body flowing and reshaping following impacts insufficient to destroy it. It lasts for [Control/5] posts. S-Rank: 1 Suiton • Suijin's Grasp S-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing a series of hand seals the user slams a palm down to the ground at their feet. A shallow 30cm deep torrent of water will erupt, leaving a 1m ring dry around the user, and cascade radially ourwards to flood everything in a 80m range at a speed of [control]. Wherever the wave hits a target, thick watery tendrils will rise from the liquid and wrap around them, pinning them in place with a strength of [control]. A bound target will be fully entwined by the tendrils, unable to move their heads, arms, hands, or legs. The wave washes away after one post, but any bound targets will remain held and unable to move for seven posts. The user's chakra, infused throughout the water, will leech into the target's body and flood their tenketsu. For every post they are bound this will sap the target of their chakra, reducing their Chakra Pool by -8, to a maximum of -40 after five posts of contact or until the target falls unconsicous at 0. ~ F Ū T O N ~ Wind Release D-Rank: 5 *Fuuton • Vortex Screw D-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After doing the needed hand seals, the user creates a small vortex of Fuuton chakra around a projectile in their hand that spins with [Control] Strength. This causes the projectile to corkscrew through the air, allowing it to travel an extra 10m and applying the Fuuton passive when thrown. This doesn't make the projectile any faster, only increases its range and ability to cut. *Fuuton • Enhanced Launch D-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After doing the needed hand seals, the user gathers wind around their feet. Then, the user will use the wind to blast them from the ground, enabling them to leap into the air an extra 10 meters at [Control] speed. The Fuuton passive is not applied in this technique. *Fuuton • Wind Skating D-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After performing the needed hand seals, the user is able to glide on air as if they were skating on ice. This allows them to move faster (+3 speed) but lowers their ability to translate force (-3 Strength). This doesn't allow them to fly, but rather to travel over things like land, water, and ice with greater ease. The user is only held several inches off of the ground. This Jutsu does not expire until the user’s chakra supply runs out or the user shuts it off. The fuuton passive is not applied in this technique. *Fuuton • Redirection D-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After performing the needed hand seals, the user covers a projectile they are holding in fuuton empowered wind. Then, when the weapon has been thrown as normal, the user is able to change it's direction by up to 90 degrees once with no drop in momentum on the projectiles part. This technique only lasts one post. Fuuton • Airsling D-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After performing the required hand seals, the user creates three 2cm orbs of swirling fuuton, forming on the fingertips of a chosen hand. At any point during the next three posts the user can fire the orbs, simultaneously or individually, at a target up to 10m away at [control] speed and strength. Upon impact, in addition to striking with [strength] and cutting, each orb will produce a vortex acting to push the target back with a strength of 1/2 [control]. C-Rank: 4 *Fuuton • Great Breakthrough C-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu By performing the needed hand seals and bringing their hands to their mouth, the user can release a wide blast of air. This wave of air moves outward in a cone shape with a 25m width at the end of the cone and moves with [Control] Speed. Once it makes contact with a substance, the wind both cuts at it and pushes it away with [Control] strength. This blast goes out for a maximum of 25m if it doesn't hit anything, where it will dissipate into the surrounding air. *Fuuton • Flying Swallow C-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After forming the necessary hand seals, the user coats their weapon in a vortex of wind. This extends the weapon's range by 1m while not adding anything to its weight for 5 posts. It also causes the weapon to gain an edge as sharp as your average sword. This also applies the fuuton passive with [Control] Strength on contact with an opponent. *Fuuton • Wind Clone C-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will create a clone out of their fuuton chakra. Fuuton • Aircannon C-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After performing the required hand seals, the user creates five 2cm orbs of compressed fuuton, one on each finger of a chosen hand. At any point during the next four posts the user can fire the orbs, simultaneously or individually, at a target up to 25m away at [control] speed and strength. Upon impact, in addition to striking with [strength] and cutting, each orb will produce a vortex acting to push the target back with a strength of 2/3rds [control]. B-Rank: 2 *Fuuton • Vortex Pillar B-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After performing the required hand seals, the user stirs a great amount of wind around their person. A tornado with a 20m radius will form around them at [Control] Speed, extending up to 40m in the air. This wall of wind is perfect for defense or trapping an opponent in an enclosed area. Anything that tries to pass through the winds will be sliced viciously with [Control] Strength blades of wind as sharp as katana blades. This technique lasts for 4 posts, unless released earlier. Fuuton • Stormstance B-Rank Fuuton Nintaijutsu After performing the required seals the user channels chakra across all areas of their body, wrapping themselves in an aura of swirling fuuton at [control] speed that hovers above their skin, apparel, and any held equipment. The aura will bite and slash at anything that contacts the user with [control] strength. Should the user strike a target, the swirling fuuton lends an additional slash at [control] strength following the impact. The aura fades after 8 posts unless released earlier. A-Rank: 1 *Fuuton • Dragon's Tempest A-Rank Fuuton Ninjutsu After forming the needed hand seals, a fierce whirlwind will radiate out from the user at [Control] Speed, surrounding the user with winds that will cut any opponent or object within range to pieces. There is a 2m radius around the user that would be the “eye of the storm.” If struck by this Jutsu the victims will face blades of wind that strike with [Control] Strength and can leave wounds and deep cuts. The air in front of their hand will rapidly drop in temperature, freezing any air in that area into 5 senbon that fly forward at [control] speed and strike with [control] strength. Hyōton ◊ Frost Burst D-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu After taking hold of a small weapon such as a kunai or shuriken, the user channels briefly to imbue it with Hyouton chakra, rapidly dropping the temperature of the object until it explodes with the force of a single exploding tag, launching icy shrapnel around the immediate area in the process. The object will explode by itself after three posts, and can be detonated sooner by use of kai. Hyōton ◊ Morning Chill D-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user will take a deep breath in while channelling chakra around their lungs, then slowly exhale. As this happens, the area within a 15 meter radius of their body will rapidly drop in temperature in the area to about -20 degrees Celsius. While this isn't enough to freeze large bodies of water, this technique will freeze a great quantity of moisture in the air, creating a veil of ice that distorts vision. Hyōton ◊ Frozen Barrier D-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user will briefly channel chakra into their hands, then form a square in the air with arm movements and place one hand in the centre of the shape. This will cause all the air within the area between their hands to rapidly freeze, forming a wall of ice at a speed of [control]. The wall is approximately 12 centimeters thick and is the size the user makes it based on their arms movement, but cannot exceed 2 meters in width or height. The wall has [control] strength and it will remain in the air until broken. Hyōton ◊ Cryosynthesis D-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu After focusing channelled chakra into one hand, the user draws moisture from the air and rapidly freezes it into an object, tool, or weapon no larger than 30x30 cm. The object forms at a speed of [control] and has a strength of [control], and remains for four posts before losing its strength. Outside of combat the technique can be used with increased focus to create objects of intricate or delicate detail. Objects may remain as regular ice if kept in sub-zero conditions. This offers no protection against other forms of cold, be it natural or caused by another Hyouton source not belonging to the user. Hyōton ◊ Mirrorpalm D-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user performs a simple set of hand seals before concentrating Hyouton chakra to gather and rapidly freeze moisture in the air. This allows them to create a single perfectly flat 10x5cm mirror at a location of their choosing within 10m of or upon their person. The mirror has [control] strength and forms at a [control] speed, lasts for 4 posts, and its smooth front face can be used to reflect surroundings like a conventional mirror. C-Rank: 8 Hyōton ◊ Breath Away C-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user will channel hyouton chakra into their fist before attempting to land a strike on a target's chest, they will rapidly cool the air in the targets lungs. This sudden shift in temperature will shock the target's body, resulting in a -3 strength for 3 posts. ~Frost Fire C-rank Ninjutsu The user will do a series of hand seals, then make a circle with both hands in front of them. A pulse of hyouton chakra will shoot forward at [Control] speed, intercepting any katon jutsu of equal or lesser strength, rapidly decreasing their temperature to the point that they fizzle out. Hyōton ◊ Hibishi C-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu With a series of hand seals the user imbues the ground around them in a 25m diameter with a small quantity of Hyouton chakra. Moisture in the ground or surrounding air is drawn and frozen to form countless small angular spikes of ice reminiscent of makibishi. Each hibishi is approximately 5cm in diameter, forms at a speed of [control] and are as sharp as senbon, capable of piercing with [control] strength. However they are incredibly brittle and snap easily when disturbed, emitting a loud crack as they splinter. They remain for six posts before losing their strength and melting. Hyōton ◊ Frozen Buckler C-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu Following a short series of hand seals the user condenses and rapidly freezes water in the air to form a circular shield on the back of one forearm. It does not obstruct the use of the user's hands, and remains for a maximum of five posts before losing its strength and falling free from the user's arm. At any point during the next 5 posts the user can choose to launch the icicles, individually or all together, towards a target at a speed and strength of [control]. Hyōton ◊ Rimeshell C-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user briefly channels before emitting a wave of hyouton in all directions which draws and rapidly freezes moisture into a complete spherical shell of Hyouton. The shell takes on a transparent crystalline appearance, and forms as 50cm thick wall with a diameter up to 25 metres and a hollow inside. The shell forms at a speed and strength of [control] and remains for up to 4 posts unless dispelled by the user sooner. B-Rank: 8 ~Frozen Water: B Class B-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu After performing a B-rank Suiton jutsu, the user will do a series of hand seals, rapidly freezing that technique. While the technique may lose it’s ability to permeate and envelope, it will become solid in quality, gaining +[Control] strength in impact force. This technique is useful for trapping in the event the suiton technique has already enveloped something. Hyōton ◊ Bond of Ice B-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user channels Hyouton chakra to coat their forearms and hands in a layer of chakra that draws forth moisture from the air or their skin and freezes it to form a pair of solid, translucent ice gauntlets at a speed of [control]. These behave as armour with a strength of [control] and extend up to the elbows, but are a hindrance to performing hand seals which prevents the use of seal-based ninjutsu while they are worn. Unless manually removed they remain for a maximum of six posts before fracturing and falling free of the user's body. Hyōton ◊ Glacial Wall B-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user will channel a large amount of chakra into one arm before sweeping it through the air in an arc and expelling the Hyouton chakra in a large wave. This rapidly freezes into a wide, solid wall that remains stationary where it forms, up to 40m away from the user. The wall forms at a speed of [control], has a strength of [control] and is 10x10x4 m in size, curving gently concavely to the user. It is formed as opaque white ice resembling a glacier, preventing any line of sight through it. It will remain in place for a maximum of six posts before losing strength and melting or collapsing away. Hyōton ◊ Forest of Mirrors B-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user performs a set of hand seals before concentrating Hyouton chakra to gather and rapidly freeze moisture in the air. This allows them to create up to fifteen large panes of ice, each measuring up to 2x2m, at locations of their choosing within 40m of their person. The mirrors each have [control] strength and form at [control] speed, last for 5 posts, and feature perfectly smooth front and rear faces that can be used to reflect their surroundings like conventional mirrors. The effect of all the mirrors together creates a very disorientating and confusing environment, where objects and people within the Forest of Mirrors are difficult to locate by sight due to the high number of reflections within reflections. Hyōton ◊ Boreal Pillar B-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu After performing the required hand seals, the user holds the final seal and pushes a wave of Hyouton chakra into the ground beneath their feet. Upon releasing the final seal, a giant pillar of ice will burst forth from the ground and expand outwards, freezing moisture in the air instantly as it grows. The pillar rises 40 metres in height at a speed of [control], has a width of 10 metres , and has a strength of [control]. Anything within the diameter of the pillar upon its formation will be held encased within the ice for six posts, after which the pillar loses its strength and crumbles away. Those trapped inside suffer from the extreme cold and lack of oxygen, typically passing out after 2 posts unless they have Endurance greater than 20, or 4 posts with Endurance between 21 and 30. Over 31 Endurance they can resist passing out altogether. Hyōton ◊ Blizzard B-rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user channels Hyouton chakra and takes a deep breath before slowly exhaling. Over the course of the post, the temperature within a 40 meter radius of the user will rapidly drop to -30 degrees celsius, except for a small 1 metre radius around the user with whom the zone moves. Able to freeze medium sized bodies of water, and small bodies of water in motion including suiton techniques of equal [control] strength or lower, this technique can make opponents incredibly uncomfortable in combat. Those within range will find that their bodies will begin to cramp up and slow down, inflicting -3 speed per post for up to a maximum of 3 posts or until they leave the area. The technique lasts for six posts. Hyōton ◊ Freezing Corruption B-rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user channels and waves an arm, releasing a pulse of chilling Hyouton chakra in a concentrated wave around them. This wave creates a 20m radial zone around the user, excluding a half meter radius around the user, which moves with the user and rapidly drops in temperature to -30 Celcius. Any clone that enters the area that is chilled will burst almost immediately as the air around it rapidly condenses, permeating its artificial skin and freezing it from the inside until it shatters. The only clones resistant to this are those without a physical component, those with organic bodies, or clones that are made from an element which emits heat itself. Organic clones and human/animal targets within the chilled area will suffer -6 strength while within the zone due to the crippling effect of the cold on their organic bodies. Hyōton ◊ Shatter B-rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user channels Hyouton chakra into one of their hands or a held weapon before striking an opponent. Upon contact, the Hyouton chakra will leap forward and surge into the target, rapidly freezing from the point of contact to deal a crippling internal wound to a target as their organs cease to function. Due to the severe internal wound, the target suffers -6 strength for 5 posts following contact while their body tries to recover its internal temperature. When striking a non-living object with a strength equal to or less than [control], the freezing effect is so rapid that the struck object becomes brittle and shatters upon contact. If the object survivesand is actively reinforced with chakra, this technique will reduce the strength of the reinforcement by 6 for the next 5 posts. A-Rank: 7 Hyōton ◊ Ice Storm A-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user will channel Hyouton chakra and raise both hands in the air before quickly dropping them down to the ground. The air above them will suddenly freeze and condense, creating around 500 senbon 9 meters above the user. Through hand movements, the user is able to direct these ice senbon at any target within 65 meters of them, striking down at the ground at [control] speed and [control] strength. While performing this jutsu the user cannot perform any other jutsu, but is free to move around and continue combat. If all the senbon are not used within 4 posts, they'll strike down to the ground with a speed and strength of ½ [control]. Hyōton ◊ Hiemal Zephyr A-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user will channel a substantial amount of Hyouton chakra into a thin ice-crystal layer over their entire body. The crystalline structure of the layer acts to flawlessly reflect and refract light in such a manner as to make the user entirely invisible and impossible to detect by visual means for its duration. This layer forms at a speed of [control] and has a strength of [control]. The coating protects the user and is light and thin enough to not constrict movement or actions in any manner. The layer remains for up to 6 posts before fracturing and falling away. Hyōton ◊ Winter’s Grasp A-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user will channel a substantial amount of Hyouton chakra into a thin but incredibly hard ice-crystal layer over their entire body. The ice crystals are entirely transparent, leaving no visible trace of their presence on the user’s skin, and harden at a speed of [control] and with a strength of [control], and will rapidly chill anything it touches, able to quickly freeze water or B-rank or lower suiton techniques after one post of contact. The coating protects the user and is light and thin enough to not constrict movement or actions in any manner. Upon taking sufficient damage, the crystal layer will fracture and crack before shattering upon destruction. The layer endures for up to 6 posts before fracturing and falling away. Hyōton ◊ Frostbond A-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user slams a palm down into the ground and unleashes a wave of concentrated Hyouton chakra. The ground will rapidly freeze and become covered in frost from the point of impact, after which a jaguar formed entirely of semi-transparent ice will emerge from the frost. This jaguar functions as an elemental construct with an endurance, speed, and strength equal to [control]. Upon death it will crack and shatter, detonating into shrapnel that peppers a 5 metre diameter with [control] strength and speed shards of ice. The jaguar lasts for 6 posts and independently follows the simple command given to it by its creator upon creation. Hyōton ◊ Hibishi Expansion A-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user channels a large quantity of Hyouton chakra into any Hyoton techniques or their fragments that still actively contain their own Hyouton chakra, simultaneously infusing up to 15 targets at once. Upon releasing the final seal of the technique, the fresh chakra will erupt outwards in an expansive surge of energy within each fragment, causing the ice to splinter and detonate with a B-rank explosion per infused object. Hyōton ◊ Icelance A-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user channels Hyouton chakra into the air nearby, forming it into a solid spear of ice that hovers at their side, measuring 5 meters in length and half a meter in diameter. At any point, the user can fire this spear with tremendous force at a speed of [control] towards a target. The spear’s trajectory can be altered up to 3 times, each by as much as a U-turn, after launching, and impacts with a strength of [control] in an attempt to impale or obliterate a target. The spear will rapidly chill its target, reducing the temperature within a 5 meter diameter area to -50 Celsius for the next post. Hyōton ◊ Northwind A-Rank Hyouton Ninjutsu The user channels a large quantity of Hyouton chakra and releases it in a radial pulse that begins at the user and reaches up to 65 metres in every direction at a speed of [control]. Within this area the air will rapidly cool to severely low temperatures, excluding within a one-meter radius around the user, with whom the area moves. Any water or A-rank or lower Suiton techniques within this area will rapidly freeze, losing momentum and falling to shatter on the ground after one post. Any persons or creatures caught within the area will suffer -5 endurance per post, for up to a maximum of four posts or until they leave the area. The technique lasts for 7 posts. ~ T A I J U T S U ~ Shinobi Combat Techniques D-Rank: 5 [Sentry's Eye] D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline Prerequisite: [Perception] The user focuses their keen senses on to a specific target or point, allowing them to see through intricate distractions to maintain their focus on and follow a target's movements. This allows the user to see through common feints to percieve the real attack beneath, as well as keep track of a target moving at a speed equal to or lower than that of the user. [Ambidexterity] D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline After extensive practice and training, the user has gained equal strength and skill between their two hands. This allows them to perform any action with either hand at exactly the same skill level and strength. [Submission] D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre Prerequisite: [Close Quarters Combat] A rudimentary close-quarters grappling technique, this requires the user to gain a firm hold upon an opponent, usually around an arm, leg, neck, or chest. The user then firmly pulls to twist their opponent around and attempts to physically overpower them by locking the opponent's limbs against their bodies and preventing them from moving freely. This requires the user to have a strength greater than the opponent, and can be held to incapacitate an opponent for a maximum of two posts if successful. [Hook] D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre Prerequisite: [Close Quarters Combat] A straightforward angled arm strike, the user swings a vicious left- or right- hook towards an opponent with the intent to hurt, imbalance, or stun. Opponents with a strength less than the user's will be disorientated for one post when struck in the head, and are likely to drop a held item or weapon if struck in the lower arm. [Deflection] D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre Prerequisite: [Close Quarters Combat] The user has learnt to react defensively to incoming straight punches, kicks and stabbing motions by attempting to intercept the strike from a perpendicular direction. If the user's strength is equal to or greater than that of the assailant, they are capable of diverting the incoming attack to one side and away from themselves. In doing so, this manouevre can also result in exposing the opponent to a counter strike. C-Rank: 8 [Blackjack] C-Rank Taijutsu Manouevre Prerequisite: [Close Quarters Combat] The user aims a powerful blow towards the temple of an opponent, using a hard striking point such as the heel of the hand, an elbow, knee, or rigid fist. A clean hit against an opponent with five or more strength less than the user's will be knocked unconscious for two posts from the sudden cranial impact. Targets able to resist the knock-out will instead be dazed for one post, disorientated from the blow, unless their strength is greater than the user's. [Visual Acuity] C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline Prerequisite: [Perception] The user has trained their eyes and mind to be more receptive to their surroundings, to better remember locations and details within their memory, as well as the ability to recognise patterns and ciphers at a glance. This grants the user the mental capacity to memorise details and identify patterns or oddities around them, and increases their effectiveness at successfully understanding or mimicking them. This additionally increases the user's chance at spotting traps and ambushes before they are sprung. [Foresight] C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline Prerequisite: [Perception] If an incoming projectile is visible to the user, or its trajectory is known, the user is capable of predicting its timing and travel path accurately enough to increase their chances of a successful dodge, such as by sidestepping or twisting at the last moment. This allows the user to maintain their speed and direction of movement while still remaining capable of dodging incoming projectiles effectively. [Heaven and Earth] C-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre Prerequisite: [Close Quarters Combat], [Submission] After successfully grappling an opponent and limiting their movement, the user attempts to hoist them into the air by lifting over their head before twisting and uncoiling their body like a spring to launch the held opponent directly downwards to the floor infront of the user's feet, typically orientated so that the target will land on their back or head to maximise damage. Opponents with a strength less than the user's will be disorientated for one post due to the sudden jarring impact. [Arm Lock Counter] C-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre Prerequisite: [Close Quarters Combat] By successfully seizing hold of an opponent's hand, wrist, or arm, typically done as a counterstrike after dodging an incoming attack, the user has learnt how to twist and lock the opponent's limb to apply severe pressure to the arm and wrist joints. By carefully controlling the amount of pressure, the user can attempt to incapacitate a target for up to two posts with intense pain and the threat of breaking the joint. Opponents stronger than the user are unaffected. Should the user have five or more strength than the opponent, they can choose to snap the joint to render the opponent's hand useless for the remainder of the encounter. [Criticality] C-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre Prerequisite: [Close Quarters Combat], [Warder's Eye] With knowledge of an opening or weak spot on an opponent, such as the exposed area of a previous injury or insufficient guard, the user performs a fast, aggressive strike to that area with the intent to create lasting and painful injury. This increases the user's chance of causing fractures and internal bleeding, or being able to strike through a weak guard. [Disarm] C-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre Prerequisite: [Close Quarters Combat] A staple technique to fight against armed opponents, the user has learnt to strike at hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders in a manner that has a high chance to cause an opponent to release a held object or weapon. This is most effective when counterattacking after evading an incoming strike, or after gaining a firm hold of an opponent. This allows the mind to focus wholly upon a particular task or situation, free from the distracting influence of emotions such as anger, fear, and severe pain, as well as one's personal beliefs, morals, and opinions. [Featherstep] C-Rank Taijutsu Stance The user has learned to move in a particular way to lighten the tread of their feet and with carefully placed steps. This allows the user to move without leaving any visible trail to all but the most experienced of trackers, eliminating obvious environmental disturbances and signs such as footprints, scuffs, displaced dirt, and so on. The lightfooted nature of this stance imparts a +6 to Speed at the cost of -6 to Strength as the user primes their muscles for swift and gentle movement rather than power. [Precision Aim] A-Rank Taijutsu Disciplinen The user has studied anatomy to the extent that they can passively apply that knowledge to their strikes and aim in the heat of combat. This allows the user to identify and exploit opportunities for pinpoint attacks to cause severe internal damage to a target, such as breaking bones, rupturing organs, slicing muscles and tendons, and so forth. This technique aids the user in spotting weak points in the armour or guard of a target and deliving precision attacks in those areas to bypass physical defences and strike the body beneath. [Ghoststep] A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline Pre-requisite: [Featherstep] or *Fuuton • Wind Skating The user has learned to move with exceptional care and finesse, lightening the tread of their feet and stepping with extreme care or by marginally levitating their feet with a subconscious application of fuuton chakra. This allows the user to move without detriment while eliminating all traces of their passing, leaving no physical sign. Additionally, the user can move as normal without triggering physical traps such as pressure plates or tripwires. If moving via fuuton, the swirling chakra additionally scours away any scent left behind by the user. If moving via careful physical steps, the user leaves no residue of chakra use. [Instant Strike] A-Rank Nintaijutsu Manoeuvre The user prepares an attack or action before priming their muscles and surging forward in an instantaneous, chakra-assisted movement towards or away from a target within 50 metres, which consumes one of the user's two available teleport movements per thread. This allows the user to jump forward and deliver a lightning-fast series of strikes to a target without any perceivable precursor motion, or to attack a target already in range and then instaneously move away to a safe location by identifying an object within range that is at least 1/5th the user's size while preparing the technique. An object used in this manner must be solid and must not already be imbued with foreign chakra. The user can perform up to [Base Speed/10] strikes as part of this technique, performed at up to +12 Speed, but the focus on rapid motion leaves the user unprepared to guard and thus a corresponding Endurance debuff for the duration of the strike. The practitioner can subconsciouly pick up on signs such as disturbed foliage, footprints, and environmental disturbances, and can accurately determine their age, source, and direction of travel by their condition. [Quiescence] S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline The user has learned to move in total silence, and does not produce any sound when moving through any means. They cannot be heard unless a person listening for them has a specialized hearing technique of equal or higher rank. [Reaper] S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline The user has trained themselves to become perfectly attuned to all manner of sounds in a wide vicinity of their person, and can focus their hearing to up to 150 metres to identify and track targets. This passive technique allows the practitioner to accurately identify and differentiate people, animals, and all sources of noise within 50 metres of their person, even in the face of loud complicated distractions, noise, or interference. Over 50 metres, the accuracy of the technique suffers slightly and hearing at such an extent requires fewer distractions. Over 100 metres, the user requires silence in their immediate vicinity and can only gauge an approximate direction, distance, and quantity of noise sources, but can still identify the type of creature. Additionally, the user has learned to interpret vibrations through the ground as a rudimentary tremorsense, and is able to accurately track sources of movement through vibrations within 50 metres of their location. ~ G E N J U T S U ~ Illusionary Techniques E-Rank: 1 Eyes of Power E-Rank Illusion Genjutsu After performing this technique the user will stare towards a target, causing any who look at the user's head area to become caught in the illusion. Victims will immediately realise that the user's eyes are a bright and distinctive red, glowing with the light of a candle's flame to make them visible even from beneath a mask or hood. The technique lasts for three posts. D-Rank: 5 *[Genjutsu • Paranoid] D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user will do a series of hand seals, then point indiscriminately. Should the target see the pointing motion, they'll be captured in this genjutsu. For the following 4 posts, the target will see a shadow in the corner of their eyes, constantly shifting out of view when they attempt to look at it. Shiver D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user performs this technique before emitting a radiant flare of light reminiscent of channeling, causing any who notice it to become caught in the illusion. Victims will periodically experience a shocking chill passing down their spine or tingling along their arms as a powerful shiver passes through them. This distracting shiver will repeat whenever the target sees the user, as well as randomly once per post regardless, and is strong enough to throw off the victim's aim or break the concentration of victims with low willpower. The tingling will cease after the fourth post. Phantom Chill D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user performs this technique before emitting a radiant flare of light reminiscent of channeling, causing any who notice it to become caught in the illusion. Any targets afflicted will perceive the temperature around them rapidly dropping by 30°C. This false temperature-drop imparts no loss in performance or physical detriment to the target, instead only making them feel colder as if affected by a genuine Hyouton ninjutsu technique. Never Alone D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user will perform a short series of hand seals before whistling in a low, haunting tone. Any who hear the whistle will be caught in the illusion. Whenever an afflicted person approaches to within three metres of the user at any point over the next four posts, they will hear a sudden sound of movement from behind them; a twig snapping, stones crunching, ice cracking, etc. Effigy D-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user performs this technique before holding the final seal and making a sudden movement. Any who notice them sealing or moving will become caught in the genjutsu. To those afflicted, the user appears positioned stationary wherever they were last seen, still holding the final hand seal and focusing on the target(s), while the real user is removed from their sight. The technique lasts for one post, during which the user is free to move and act unseen by those affected. Any hostile or physical action against a target of the technique will break the illusion and immediately reveal the user. C-Rank: 6 Frozen World C-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user performs this technique before clicking their fingers or using the sound of snapping or cracking ice to initiate this genjutsu. Any who hear the sharp sound will be caught in the illusion, wherein the colours of the world around them will begin to drain and fade to white over course of the next post. After one post, the target will perceive the world around them as washed out and bland, as if everything were covered in a fine layer of white-grey frost for four further posts. Creeping Death C-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user performs this technique and releases a radiant flare of light reminiscent of channeling, causing all who notice it to become caught within the illusion. If the target touches any physical surface within the next 4 posts it will feel ice-cold to the touch, and they will see a pattern of frost form and begin to creep across their skin starting from the point of contact, slowly spreading in size while the skin beneath the frost pattern begins to turn black and frostbitten. An illusionary chill also spreads through the afflicted area, making the flesh feel ice-cold to the touch for the duration of the technique. The illusionary frost pattern and darkening skin will grow at a pace of 50cm per post until the targets body is entirely covered, before fading away at the end of the fourth post. Phantoms of Tomorrow C-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user performs this technique and passes chakra into any nearby mirror-like surface. Any who notice that surface within the next 5 posts will be snared in this illusion. Whenever the target sees their own reflection in a mirror-like surface, they will additionally see an image of the user moving in an aggressive, offensive manner behind their own reflection. The user of the technique will be perceived as lunging towards, throwing projectiles towards, or simply performing hand seals while staring at the target from behind. The illusions exist only within the mirrors, and the technique persists for up to five posts before fading. House of Mirrors C-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user performs this technique and passes chakra into any nearby mirror-like surface. Any who notice that surface within the next 5 posts will be snared in this illusion. Once triggered, the target will perceive illusory doubles of any static mirror-like surface around them, formed beside the real object in a random orientation. These illusory mirrors will reflect their surroundings as expected, however only exist visually and can be passed through with no effect. Sevenfold C-Rank Illusion Genjutsu The user performs a series of hand seals and pushes chakra into an object or tool no larger than 30x30x30cm in size. Whenever the target notices the imbued item or technique they will become caught in the genjutsu. The illusion causes the imbued item or technique to split into seven illusory copies of itself in similar positions or heading on similar trajectories, concealing the true item or technique behind many false copies. This illusion lasts for 4 posts. Afterimage C-Rank Illusion Genjutsu After performing this technique the user makes a sudden burst of movement, causing any who notice their motion to become snared within this technique. Thereafter, for the next 5 posts, those within the genjutsu will experience the user of the technique through a second of delay; if the user takes a step or makes a noise, those within the genjutsu will only be able to witness that taking place a full second after it really happened. This simple but insidious technique effectively gives the user a full second to move and act before their target can percieve it. This illusion lasts for up to 4 posts. B-Rank: 3 *[Genjutsu • Scatter and Run] B-Rank Illusion Genjutsu If the genjutsu user ever needs to run, this is the ideal technique to use. The target simply has to see them take their first step to run after the user has performed the hand seals. If the target saw the first step to run, the genjutsu caster will suddenly split into 90 "clones." This will allow the genjutsu caster to run away amidst the confusion, as the mass of clones run in every single direction at a speed of 20. Of course, touching one of these "clones" will cause them to disperse in a cloud of smoke, but they will do everything in their power to avoid making contact. If the clones aren't touched, the jutsu lasts for up to 6 posts. [Genjutsu • Fear] B-Rank Status Genjutsu The user will prepare this technique and begin to laugh, causing any who hear it to be caught in the genjutsu. For the next 5 posts, the target will experience a sense of extreme fear regarding the user and their actions. If the user takes a step forward, the target will be more inclined to take a step back, threats will have a higher efficacy, and the victim will be much more inclined to simply do what they can to escape and avoid having to fight the user. Shadow Mantle B-Rank Illusion Genjutsu After performing the required hand seals the user will clap their hands once, causing any who hear the sound to become subject to this technique. A small swirl of mist rises in a vortex from the user's feet, concealing them from view for a split second before fading, after which the user becomes wholly invisible to those within the genjutsu. During this time they cannot be detected visually through any means, including sight-based kekkai genkai abilities. This technique lasts for up to 6 posts. A-Rank: 2 [Genjutsu • Despair] A-Rank Status Genjutsu After performing the required hand seals the users' body will emit a flare of radiant light, causing all who see it to be captured within the genjutsu. Those affected become burdened with such intense sadness that they experience an almost overwhelming inclination to simply stop whatever they were doing, drop anything they are holding, and drop to all fours while searching for hopes which seem increasingly futile with each passing moment. This technique lasts for 5 posts. [Genjutsu • Kneel And Swear] A-Rank Status Genjutsu Any time after performing a series of hand seals, the user can say the word "kneel" to trigger a multiple-target genjutsu upon all who hear the word. Within this genjutsu, all targets will immediately feel the strength begin to drain out of them, leaving their legs shaky and unable to bear their weight while a great pressure pushes down on their back and shoulders. While being forced to the ground in submission, the genjutsu works to undermine any will to fight, making submission to the user more likely. This technique lasts for 4 posts. S-Rank: 1 [Genjutsu • Epiphany] S-Rank Status Genjutsu The user will speak the phrase "face it" any time after completing the required hand seals, causing anyone who hears to fall victim to this genjutsu. Upon initiation, the target will suffer an immediate crisis of conscience. They will begin to doubt their actions, intentions, and allegiences up to this point, and discover a profound respect for the caster of the technique. A Blessed Blade of the Aresaki style is a weapon crafted by the Hizashi clan imbued with the ability to be used with and alongside Kaenton or Katon ninjutsu. The blade allows the user to perform Aresaki style techniques by maintaining a one-handed seal with their other hand. The blade grows hotter, without any visual indicator, with each successive Aresaki technique performed in this manner, representing the growing heat and power of the desert. Yoshino's blade is a masterwork, and in addition to the standard features of a Blessed Blade has been imbued with techniques of her own design. Upon hit, the blade sends waves of extreme temperature pulsing through the body of the target, attacking nerves and causing organs and muscles to dehydrate and atrophy over time. Passive (Heating)Show Kaenton has to ability to heat anything, increasing its temperature, causing burns, and introducing people to heat strokes, dehydration, and even possibly death. While Hizashi are naturally resistant to increased temperature, even they can succumb to the excessive heat of their techniques. KatonShow Katon Affinity A character with this concentration is able to utilize Katon, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require the Katon affinity. Katon has a passive ignition effect. Passive (Ignition)Show Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own. Additionally, the strength of burns on organic material from katon jutsu is determined by the strength stat of the individual jutsu.
SandShow Sand Style A character with this concentration is able to utilize Sand, an extension composed of Fuuton and Doton, and can make and use any custom or archived jutsu that require Sand. Sand style has a grinding effect. You must be a current or former Sunagakure shinobi, and have both Fuuton and Doton to utilize this concentration. Passive (Grinding)Show Sand, however, is rough, and grinds in it's movement, eroding and tearing at anything it comes in contact with. This makes Sand an aggressive element that adds to it's strength when coming in contact with solid matter by breaking it down and adding it to it's mass. When Sand breaks through anything it is strong against, it adds 1/5th of the strength of that thing to it's own strength. A 30 strength Sand Wave breaking through a 10 strength Doton wall would add 2 strength to itself, having 32 strength. If the user moves faster than [Control] speed, the area will follow behind at the speed with which it was cast.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user places their hands outwards, with their palms out. As long as they keep their hands out in this way, they will channel Kaenton chakra outwards into a 5 meter radius around them, creating a Kaenton circulation system. Whenever ah flame or a Katon technique enters this area with strength less than the user's control, the user can deflect it. The flame/katon will always be dispersed along the edge of the radius until it reaches the opposite side of where it struck. This area lasts for up to 3 posts, or until it has deflected 3 attacks.

After performing the needed hand seals, the user touches an object with their hand. The object must be a material that doesn't have an abnormally high melting point, must be inorganic and can only be a maximum of 1x1x1 meter large. If the object meets these criteria, the user can flood it with Kaenton chakra for a full post and heat it up. The heating up is done to such a point that the object actually melts into a hot pool and remains in that state for at least 3 posts, after which it begins to cool down at a normal rate (thus the rate at which it returns to normal depends on the temperature of the environment). This pool is extremely hot and capable of causing even fourth degree burns, but the user cannot control or mold it in any way and they will be damaged by it just like anybody else.

After performing the proper hand seals, the user releases Kaenton into a 20 meter radius around them, causing heat to disperse in the air within that area. This heat will cause a minor increase of up to 5 degrees Celsius, but its real strength is in the way the hot air behaves. The behavior of the heated vs. cold hair causes a Mirage field where everything's appearance is slightly distorted, leaving them unable to properly gauge distances or the size of people and objects unless they have a perception technique of the appropriate rank, this technique lasting for the next seven posts.

After doing the needed hand seals, the user channels Kaenton chakra to their hands, then holds them out to either side, then quickly passes them in front of each other. As they do so, a wave of heat will grow from them over the course of the next 5 posts at [Control] speed. The wave is capable of causing second degree burns on whatever it touches. It is visible as a constantly shimmering wave, which is easily noticeable.

After performing the necessary handseals, the user holds out their hands and sends out a wave of compressed heat at a speed and strength equal to [Control], this wave being twenty meters wide/twenty meters tall and upon contact, not only inflicting second degree burns but also dispersing into a twenty meter area around the point of impact, causing anything with a low melting point (i;e plant life or sand) within that area to heat up to the point of causing first degree burns, but also to begin melting, in addition to causing any water not produced by jutsu to begin evaporating, the evaporation being 6 meters3 per post.

After performing the proper hand seals, the user holds the final hand seal while releasing Kaenton into the air in a 20 meter radius around him/her. After a full post of saturating the air with Kaenton, the 20 meter radius suddenly becomes hotter (by about 15 degrees celsius) and extremely dry. For the next 7 posts, all of the water in the air within that are has been further evaporated and pushed higher up to the atmosphere, making it much more inaccessible for suiton users. Whenever a suiton jutsu is performed, it now costs the user 2x as much chakra to perform that jutsu.

After performing a long string of handseals, the user slams their hands into the ground and pours Kaenton chakra into it. For the next post, the ground within a 20 meter radius of the user melts, becoming a hot liquid form; essentially lava. A 2 meter radius around the user is the only spot within the 20 meter radius that doesn't get converted to lava. This lava remains the same ridiculously hot temperature for up to 4 posts before the Kaenton chakra within it runs out, at which point it begins to cool and solidify at a pace dependent on its environment, with regular environments resulting in the lava cooling down and solidifying within one post. This lava is extremely dangerous and destructive and will cause fourth degree burns with sustained contact, with further exposure actually causing complete destruction of a body part. After the spire is formed it remain for 3 posts before turning back into sand.

The sand will then rise up to fully encase the target, holding the target in place for up to 3 posts unless they can break the sand with [Control] Strength or more. The entire time they're captured, the sand is grinding the target, causing extensive damage.

Forming the necessary handseals, the user channels a large amount of chakra into the ground beneath their feet, then slams their hands on the ground in front of them. In doing so, the user creates a 20 meter diameter sphere of sand that rockets into the air at a speed of 20, hovering 40 meters in the sky above for the rest of the post. Upon casting this jutsu, the user must select a specific target area for the sphere to land on, and this area cannot be changed. At the beginning of the sand user's next post, this sphere will descend on that target area at [Control], crashing into the ground with [Control] Strength, crushing anything in the immediate area before spreading out in a giant wave of sand in all directions. The wave impacts with [Control] strength, and spans 10 meters in all directions, starting from the edge of the initial impact area.

The Aresaki is one of the most prevalent Kenjutsu styles to originate from Wind Country. Practitioners are those who have wielded their blade to the tone of the desert, utilizing sudden and quick strikes, followed by their ability to use Katon jutsu to quickly burn out any foe they come across. While not all fights start in the sands of the desert, most places end up as a desert after a practitioner is done with it. While the style was invented by those with the Kaenton element, it has been filtered out and replaced by the Katon element.

The veil can be as thin as a few millimetres, or can coat and extend from the whole weapon changing it to two handed sword up to twice its original size, increasing its reach and range. The fire causes burns according to the katon burn table based on [control] and lasts for 4 posts unless dissipated by other means.

With a swift swing of their blade, the user causes the fire grasping the blade to fly off at a speed equal to the user's strength. The fire hits with a strength equal to the [control] used in the original Sword Saint jutsu and is able to burn those that it comes in contact with based on the same control burn table. This expends the Sword Saint jutsu.

With a quick swirl of their blade, the user creates a wall of fire (4 feet radius circle) to be used as a distraction. While the fire can cause second degree burns, the main purpose is to be used to obscure vision of the user, as they quickly dash around the wall to reposition themselves for a quick and sudden strike out as the fire fades. Most of the time, the fire is able to cause the opponent to be unable to see where the attack is actually coming from.

Starting with a circular movement, the user channels chakra into their blade as they spin around. The Blessed Blade then starts to ignite the air around the user, creating a spinning vortex of fire around them, consuming nearby vegetation and plant life, catching it on fire as the user continues moving around. If the fire comes in contact with another person, it can cause second degree burns. The user can continue this action for (Endurance/4, minimum 1, posts) before they must stop.

A devastating technique of the Aresaki style, the strike begins with a standard attack at any part of the opponent. While the goal is to pierce flesh with the strike, hitting armor can sometimes be just as effective. As soon as the sword makes contact with the target, the user unleashes a massive burst of Katon chakra, causing a mass of fire to explode outwards into and engulfing the target with at [control] speed and strength. As the user withdraws their blade and moves clear, the katon in and around the target detonates in a fiery follow-up explosion, tearing the target apart from the inside with [control] strength.

Placing their sword upon the ground, the user channels chakra into their blade and causes small sparks of fire to erupt on the ground. The user then runs at full speed, scoring the outline of a burning shape into the ground with their sword. Upon returning to the starting point or triggering the jutsu with a seal, the sparks will fully ignite at [control] speed resulting in a great mass of fire exploding out and inwardly, forming an inferno contained within the shape drawn, or on a designated side of it if the shape was not complete. This is able to cause third degree burns to any targets within ten metres of the flames, increasing in severity with every post and completely charring almost anything inside the burning area with [control] strength. However, if the user wishes, they can cause the entire shape of fire to implode with a further blast of [control] explosive force by releasing their hand seal.ToryuShowToryu Kenjutsu:Toryu, a style of Kenjutsu founded in the Land of Pebbles, melds traditional kenjutsu swordplay with subversive feints and sudden bursts of close-quarters combat, two unyielding hills crashing together to form a mountain. Toryu typically favors the use of the blade with one hand, utilizing the freedom of movement to use one's hands, joints, legs, head, and even the hilt and handle of the sword to make an already deadly style more unpredictable and more lethal. Ignorantly considered a very "unrefined" style by most practitioners of the sword, Toryu is actually one of the most difficult styles of Kenjutsu to learn and master. The very basic premise of the style revolves around the firm control and manipulation of one's own movements and body, some techniques requiring execution while using another attack as a feint or misdirection while not sacrificing strength. The style has no weapon requirements outside of a sword, but many users often prefer kodachi, wakizashi, ninjato, or even tanto, the reduced size and weight of the blades having fewer blind spots and making the user's weapon more mobile.

The signature Stance of Toryu, practitioners relax the muscles in their bodies, gaining additional flexibility in their movements in how they approach the enemy, how they retreat, how they evade attacks, and how they attack the opponent. This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It also allows the practitioner to rapidly and reflexively change the angle, position and grip of their weapon with minimal movement, allowing them multiple manners in which they can attack the opponent or defend against attacks.

A practitioner of Toryu is capable of attacking with every part of their body, even their heads. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity and experience with executing palm strikes, heel strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and headbutts/skull bashes just as effectively as regular punches, kicks, and sword strikes. This Discipline allows the practitioner to consistently execute these kinds of attacks while minimizing or eliminating openings in their defenses or shock/damage they would experience while using these kinds of strikes.

The practitioner moves in and initiates a feint in the form of a thrust. Partway through the thrust, however, the practitioner twists their arm to the side and drops low, rotating and lashing out with a spinning low kick, attempting to sweep the opponent's feet out from under them. Opponents with an Acrobatics technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist the tripping effect.

One of Toryu's many grappling techniques, the practitioner steps in close to the opponent, slamming their heel into the opponent's foot to lock the target in place. In the same movement, the practitioner grabs the opponent's arm and flips them over their back, slamming them to the ground unless the opponent has an Acrobatics technique of an equal or higher rank than this technique. The prone position this leaves the opponent in leaves them exposed to an attack of opportunity from the practitioner's weapon after executing this technique.

Designed as a counterattack but also a potent attack by itself, the practitioner will first wait to block or parry an opponent's attack with their weapon. Then, the practitioner will quickly counter with a swift knee strike to the opponent's stomach or diaphragm to stun them or cause them to stagger by winding them, followed by a quick slash or stab to their chest or stomach. The practitioner may choose to use this as an attack instead by immediately leading off with the knee strike if they so wish. Opponents with equal or higher Endurance than the practitioner's Strength can resist being winded.

C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A practitioner with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform attacks and techniques without the risk of failure due to fear responses.

C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A technique allowing the practitioner to partially customize their focus on defense or offense, the practitioner guards against attacks while immediately attacking subsequent openings with their free hand. The form this takes depends on which hand they prioritize for defense. Should they choose to guard with their sword hand, the practitioner deflects the attacks outwards, away from the opponent's center of mass where their guard is strongest, and responds by launching unarmed counter-attacks like a punch, elbow, or throw. If they choose to guard with their unarmed hand, the practitioner blocks the attack by intercepting the haft of the weapon or the opponent's wrists with the back of their fist or forearm and counter with more lethal slashes and stabs from their sword.

C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver

A brutal, raw technique, the practitioner quickly dashes into an opponent's range, often after avoiding an enemy attack, momentarily torquing the muscles in their legs before launching a powerful knee strike directly up into the target's diaphragm and sternum in an attempt to stagger the opponent. Aside from potentially fracturing or even breaking bones, the opponent can potentially be left winded. This sudden attack can potentially open up many vulnerable areas on the opponent's body for possible finishing moves.

B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 25 Strength.
After much training with grappling, clinching, blocking, deflecting, and parrying weapons, the practitioner gains skin as sturdy as rock, allowing them even more avenues for defense and attack. This Discipline represent's the practitioner's body conditioning for toughening their skin all over their bodies, especially on their hands. This makes the practitioner's skin harder to cut or penetrate, and it allows the practitioner to perform normally self-destructive feats, such as blade catches, without needlessly harming themselves.

B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Toryu • Granite Epitaph].
Varying in usefulness depending on the practitioner's position in relation to the opponent or the reach of the opponent's weapon, the practitioner places themselves slightly offset to one side in the path of an opponent's attack. The practitioner then attempts to catch the opponent's blade or weapon, latching on tightly at the weapon's dullest point before violently twisting and pulling the weapon away from the opponent. If the practitioner catches the opponent's weapon, and if the practitioner's Strength is higher than their opponent's average of their Strength and Endurance, rounded up, the practitioner can immediately yank the weapon from the opponent's grip, disarming them.

A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): Strength stat must be equal to or higher than Speed stat.
A full-committal technique, the practitioner will momentarily torque every muscle in their body as they evade an opponent's attack(s). As soon as an opportunity presents itself, the practitioner releases the tension and bursts forward instantly, immediately accelerating to their maximum Speed. In quick succession, the practitioner starts by slipping their foot between the opponent's legs and behind one of their knees to cut off escape and compromise the opponent's balance. Next, the practitioner hooks their arm around the opponent's elbow and puts pressure on the outside of the joint, forcing the arm to hyper-extend and expose their center of mass. Finally, in that short moment, the practitioner brings their sword to pierce any one of the opponent's vital organs or their aorta, though most practitioners aim for the heart. D-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
A neutral stance taken by even entry level practitioners. This stance involves turning your body to be perpendicular to your opponent. One foot is rested directly in front of the other with just the toes in contact with the ground. A hand is held back while the other is forward, pointing up. This stance provides ease of dodging incoming blows by using the least amount of motion possible while still being ready to launch into an attack.

In this technique, the user builds momentum and speed in order to bridge the gap between themselves and a distanced target. The user will tense the muscles in their lower body to a great degree. Doing so causes them to briefly become immobile but creates an enormous amount of pent up energy. By bringing their back leg forward in a straight kick they release all of this energy in a single explosive burst that will knock a kicked foe back a number of meters equal to the difference in their strength and the practitioner's.

A combination attack started by the user unleashing a powerful kick to the side of their opponent. They will then place themselves behind the target and unleash a quick flurry of punches before kicking another side and repeating the process. This process can keep going ad infinitum or until the practitioner disengages.

An attack that is slow to wind up but powerful in execution. The adept tenses every muscle in their shoulders and arms while twisting their core for a powerful strike. For the 1/4 post they spend winding up they're treated as having a -6 speed. However, when the strike is released it comes at a +6 strength.

A kick meant to disrupt the opponent that can be launched from nearly any position. This kick is delivered quickly with +6 Speed but with -6 Strength and is aimed at any possible opening and extremely difficult to defend against, quickening the tempo the practitioner is keeping.

An often difficult attack to accomplish but good for setting up a string of further attacks. The user will sweep low, attempting to kick their target's feet from beneath them. Before they fall, a second kick will attempt to launch them airborne a number of meters equal to the difference in the practitioner's strength from their target.

Requiring a full post of charge time the user tenses their entire body in preparation, becoming immobile. During this time they will look for their direct path and position themselves with their fist pointed forward. At the end of the post they will release all of this pent up energy with extreme force, leaping nearly instantaneously a number of meters equal to their strength. This counts as a teleportation and cannot be done more than twice per thread.

The user delivers an upward kick to their opponent, sending them high into the air. The user follows the opponent along their upward trajectory, taking tight hold of them so that they can't move or escape. Once they've reached the peak of the initial kick's arc, the user begins a spinning motion and propels them headfirst towards the ground. The user releases the opponent right before impact and retreats to safety, leaving the opponent to collide with the ground alone.

An attack meant to be used against multiple targets. By tensing every single muscle in the body the user can release a sweeping kick that disrupts the air around their leg. As the kick is unleashed it creates a wave of compressed air that moves outwards from them with Speed and Strength equal to 3/4 the user's Strength in a wide cone-like line. This line travels for 1/2 the user's strength in meters and grows just as wide at the end.

By priming their core and legs the user will crouch down and come up with an extremely powerful uppercut made tight and close. This uppercut causes a miniature vortex to form in the area, sucking anything within 2 meters to be sucked back towards the strike with Strength equal to 3/4 the user's Strength.

Prerequisite: 35 Strength or Speed
A defensive kick designed by true adepts to ward against ranged attacks. By raising their leg over their head and sweeping it downwards, the user creates a powerful wall of wind that deflects most incoming attacks as if it was deflected with 3/4 their strength. The “wall” is directly in front of them and only as tall as they are, leaving their sides and back still undefended.
As a student, her eager approach to training put her ahead of most other students in terms of physical fitness, which helped compensate her gallingly substandard ninjutsu use. Through her formative years and after graduating as a genin she thus focused on her strength and speed with taijutsu to win. As a chuunin, she finally found the knack for her clan's ninjutsu, and proved not so shabby after all once she incorporated it into her training regimen. Not long after, her mixed skillset caught the eye of an aged Aresaki swordsman who took her under her wing. She trained with him for several years, eventually achieving the rank of Special Jounin owing to her exceptional talent with a blade and mixed nintaijutsu approach to combat.
