Final preparations [Social Training]

Post by Trusted Grader » Tue Jan 17, 2023 6:16 pm

Chikara sighed, he wasn't really the one that liked to train but he knew that he had failed as a clan member a long time ago, he had put away the idea of training his shadow powers for far too long, had it not been for Chie and her insisting on him getting in touch with his roots then he's sure that he would probably have gone an entire lifetime without ever getting better at controlling his shadow, considering that he liked to use genjutsu and manipulate people into believing that they were trapped by the fake one while the real one slithered forward.

Another sigh escaped his breath as Yasu stepped forwards, they were standing in a meadow and were surrounded by none other than his companions, Enzaragi wasn't too far off but by the looks of it he needed some space to train with his new blade. "So, you want to train ninjutsu hu? I guess I can be your target, seeing as Enza is a bit busy training. Remember, If you harm me then I'll make sure you end up in a world of hurt." There Yasu went again with her threats, she always did that, it was almost as if she hated Chikara.

Nonetheless, the Nara cracked his neck and chuckled, he was going to train on a jutsu he remembered his father tried to teach him years ago, to utilise ones shadow to capture another by having the one he is standing on act as a counter measure, so instead of sending it out he would use it to capture any foe who dodged his attack, that way his shadow would not only protect him if anyone snuck up on him but also work as a great way to create an opening as not that many expect a shadow to pin them down, especially out of nowhere.

Chikara grinned and tried to recollect the set of and seals his father had pulled, he let it play in his minds eye before he would crouch down and take a deep breath, he soon began to form the set of seals slowly, then rose to a standing position, "Ready?" Yasu chuckled as she didn't fear Chikara, Good. Chikara rushed Yasu who was ready to dodge whatever he was about to toss at her but to her surprise it seemed as if he wanted to punch her, which she easily dodged, she smiled and prepared to counter him but quickly noticed that she wasn't able to move, which brought a smile to Chikara's face, because he had managed to capture her with his shadow jutsu. Succsess!

~Eiketsu • Shadow Boxing
D-rank Nintaijutsu Stance
this stance is used in conjunction with other taijutsu maneuvers. In this stance, the user will channel chakra into their shadow and allow it to replicate their physical movements. Targets who avoid their strikes may still connect with their targets shadow, if it makes the connection the target will be bound with [Control] strength for 3 posts.

Chie laughed and cheered as Chikara had managed to capture Yasu in his technique, Wakana was impressed but chose not to display any affection towards him, which he took as if she didn't care but it was furthest from the truth, nonetheless Yasu didn't take it well as she abhorred the idea that Chikara put her on a freeze. "Let me go right this second or I will make sure that you pay for it one way or another." Chikara sighed and released her from the bond, he took a couple of steps backwards and took another deep breath, he knew that training wasn't over as this was just the first of many jutsu he was going to train for.

That and Chie wouldn't let this just be a one off, she wanted him to be stronger because she had made his sister a promise that if she ever found him on the outside to make sure that he continued his shadow training, this was the real reason why she pushed this on to him, but she hadn't and wouldn't ever tell him as they had made a secret pact. Chikara shook his head and crouched down as he prepared for the next jutsu, this was another one of his fathers teachings, one which he had failed in the past, funny enough had he put a little effort into his training then he would've mastered the art of shadows a long time ago, but for whatever reason it never spoke to him.

"This time I'm going to-" Chikara was interrupted by Yasu. "Whatever, let's get it over with so I can start training."

Chikara looked up and remembered that his father tried to teach him how to create tendrils out of shadows that could grab on to things such as weapons or people, these weren't the best of examples but they could easily be upgraded in the future, which was the main point of training these techniques, that and the nightmare fuel he could create with them got him almost salivating, nevertheless he knew that all he had to do was focus on performing the right hand seals and flood his shadow with chakra, manipulate it correct and it should work the way he had planned. Now, what were the hand seals again?" Chikara had an excellent memory for a drunkard, which was pretty ironic, he slowly formed the needed hand seals and watched how Yasu rolled her eyes, she knew that it was best that they tried new jutsu on her because out of his companions only she could tank hits from Chikara without dying, though fortunately this jutsu wasn't going to harm her, only hold her in place.

He crouched down and formed the set of hand seals and flooded his shadow with chakra and watched how the tendrils shot out towards Yasu, who freaked out at the sight, she cursed as she was held in place, which got Chikara to chuckle before he released her. Another down.

~Eiketsu • Gathering Tendril
D-rank Ninjutsu
The user will perform a sequence of hand seals and will manipulate a shadow within range (following the passive scale) a tendril will appear 10m in length and will be able to grab anyone or anything and throw items at a speed and strength equal to the users control, this will last for 3 posts.

This time Chikara locked eyes with Wakana who did her best to hide her blush, it seems that she was rather impressed with the speed of which he learned how to perform jutsu, Chie was already super ecstatic and felt as if the world was almost theirs, she always knew that he was a master of the art but was just too lazy to take the time to learn his family jutsu, this helped her feel better because the idea that she left her village was still biting her.

Yasu on the other hand wasn't having any of this and just wanted Chikara to finish his training so she could proceed with hers, but according to Chie and Chikara there would be three jutsu training before they would switch up who was next. It would be Wakana which was why she felt some sort of hype when Chikara had managed to learn his jutsu in such a short span, this had given her confidence that she would be able to master her jutsu in no time, though she knew that hers would take a bit longer and require more from her. Chikara nodded at Yasu as he began to think of a new jutsu.

This time he wanted to use the sword he and Enzaragi had managed to find during the war, a sword that was forged by the shadow of a beast that seemed to have knowledge of Nara's secrets, it was a unique sword with a special property, though he had yet created a jutsu that could fully utilise it's ability, so he figured that he should create a jutsu similar to shadow boxing but with longer range, that way he could choose if he wanted to use another companion or the blade to trap someone from range.

So first he performed a set of hand seals similar to shadow boxing and shadow hold, he placed his shadow on Chie and tilted his head towards Yasu which she interpreted as she should walk up to her, so she did and gently touched Yasu who grunted at the idea of being frozen again and once she did Yasu did her best to move.

"Fine you got me, let me go!" Chie chuckled at Yasu and watched how Chikara released her, he tried the hand seals yet again but this time he would embed his sword with the shadow chakra and then peered at Wakana, he tilted his head towards Yasu.

"Stand behind her." Wakana complied and he then released sword and watched how it slithered at intense speed towards Wakana, once it crossed Yasu's shadow it would release the jutsu while the sword made it's way towards Wakana's hand. As she grabbed it she peered up and noticed that the shadow technique had managed to capture Yasu as well.

"Okay, ey, let me go for fuck sake." Yasu grunted, while Chikara nodded and complied, another jutsu down.

Post by Mre-face » Tue Jan 17, 2023 7:16 pm

After his battle with the Djinn Enzaragi had managed to pick up its chains blades which were surprising seeing as he thought the body was made out of chakra. Regardless, he now had a new weapon or two on his hands. The blade's special ability to ignite the chains and short swords was unique, but it made Enzaragi realize how it could be used. As the idea of a new fighting style crept into his mind, it resembled someone he now despised, which was Nehan. Her wired scythe both gave him inspiration and a horror-filled reluctance to even use these blades in the first place. After a bit of praying meditating and letting him think about the blade's use in battle, Enzaragi decided to give it a shot. If anything, it closed a hole in his game and could now be used for mostly good. The range and utility could give him the range he needs to either close in or keep enemies at bay. After brainstorming, a few ideas and recollecting and analyzing how his former master fought with the Scythe and used the wire to increase the range and unpredictability of her multipurpose weapon.

After drawing the blades, Enzaragi decided to simply spin them almost like a kid would if given a rope, this was easy enough but upon "throwing" the weapon he noticed everything seemed off. It was obvious for Enzaragi and just about anyone that the hardest part would be getting control of the chains themselves, they flailed unpredictably wrapped around objects, and bounced off in unpredictable ways. This made him realize how skilled Nehan truly was, his anger had wrapped his perception that she was only a brute filled with mindless bloodlust with the excuse that it was the way of Jashin. Although Enzaragi wouldn't admit it, this made him respect the technical skill that he had failed to spot. Regardless, with every attempt, there seemed to be a new problem with handling the weapons, every time presented a new issue no matter how he rotated or twisted or turned. He was too enthusiastic, he needed to be patient. So he went back to spinning it like a little kid, which is where he realized how he could condense the factors. He first began to spin the blades rapidly and slowly extended them forward, keeping track of how much wrist, shoulder, and arm movement were needed to keep them flowing at the exact same speed. He then intentionally allowed them to hit the ground to figure out exactly how much power he needed to offset the ground absorbing the blow and forcing it to stick in. After figuring that out, he intentionally let the blades absorb the impact and hit the ground to see how they would react to stopping and bouncing back. After continuous experimentation, Enzaragi had managed to find the sweet spot on how they bounced off the ground and managed to catch them in his hands consistently.

This was when the true jutsu experimentation for his jutsu. Enzaragi had experimented and as a result learned to grab objects from a distance by pulling, using his blade to pierce objects and pull them back towards him, even wrapping around to achieve the same effect. Spins by rotating them quickly and slamming them caused explosions, and a previous combo that also had a slam that caused the same explosive and quaking effect gave Enzaragi a fair bit of ideas. The idea was to slam cause these miniature quakes against a fairly close opponent and while stunned finish the combo off with a larger, stronger move. Enzaragi had already learned a few jutsu threw his continuous experimentation, and that was also when he realized he can utilize the weapon's ability to create explosions and quake the ground beneath him. Enzaragi ignited the blades reeled back over his left shoulder and extended the blades in front of him slamming them into the ground and causing a miniature explosion that quaked the ground before utilizing the momentum of the slam to reel back on the opposite side before then using the momentum again timing it by jumping over them as they flew backward flipping forwards for a final larger slam that caused a larger explosion.

Enzaragi reels back, slamming both his blades into the ground in front of him, causing the ground to quake and those within 10 m will not be able to retain their footing unless they have a Strength equal to or greater than the users. Before using the momentum of the explosion and slam to bring it down from either his left or right side twice again causing the same effect before ending the combo with a front somersault slamming the blades for the fourth time causing a [Strength] explosion and the ground to shake from the impact causing the fore mentioned effect within a 40-meter distance

Final preparations [Social Training]

Yasu shook her head and chose to look over at Enzaragi who seemed to be training with Brawl, she thought to herself that she didn't need to be used as a test dummy for someone as scummy as Chikara, she grit her teeth and turned her back towards her leader and began to walk towards her comrade for at least she liked him out of the two guys. Wakana couldn't help to feel neglected because she wanted her friend to watch her new technique she had been working on for the last couple of weeks, Chie was one of the only ones that had seen her train the new jutsu because the other ones were busy doing various types of missions.

Chikara who had missed most of her training noticed that she was a bit devastated so he walked up to her and patted her gently on her shoulder. "Are you okay? You seem to be feeling a bit down, why? Aren't you going to show us this cool new jutsu you have been working on? Shouldn't you be proud?" Chikara smiled and nodded as he peered deeply into her eyes, the same ones as his, which they once weren't.

Wakana turned her frown upside down and nodded in approval, Chie liked what she saw, even though she had grown somewhat uncomfortable with how close Wakana and Chikara had become since the war had started. It didn't matter though because there was nothing he could hide from the master of mind reading and she knew that, that and Chikara would never even attempt to lie to her as it wasn't in his nature to lie, to Chie at least.

Come on Wakana, you got this, remember your training...

Wakana was seated by the edge of a cliffside, Chie had promised that she would go with her to train while Yasu, Ayuma, Shiryoku and Chikara went off on a mission with Enzaragi. She had been neglecting her training ever since she had left Sunagakure and wanted to feel a bit connected with the home she was once from, and the only way she could feel prepared for her countrymen one day hunting her was by training so she could be of use to Setzusoku, to Chikara. Chie could almost read her mind and see that she was upset about not being "strong" which she laughed at.

"Look sister, you don't have to worry about being of use to anyone but to the fact that you are free. You are who you are and with time you will be able to do some extraordinary things, so because he didn't choose to bring you on a dangerous mission doesn't mean that you are useless... In fact it's reverse, he doesn't want you to be harmed and that's why he protects you... Protects us." Chie smiled and hoped that Wakana would understand.

Instead she was met with a sigh, the redhead focused forwards and began to form a set of hand seals before she pushed her hand forwards and sent a large gravity wall outwards, causing a loud boom which caused Chie to sit straight. "I am not weak, I just lack focus... I need to find my purpose and then I can prove to.. Myself that I am useful." Wakana grit her teeth as Chie scratched the back of her head, she was confused because she had never met anyone as good as Wakana at ninjutsu, it was just that it wasn't enough for Wakana, she needed to be better, she needed to be on par with Chikara and the rest of them because she wanted to be a messenger of the world, that was her life goal.

Wakana closed her hand together in frustration and began to channel chakra into her hands, slowly but surely she would fill the space between her hands with chakra, something she had seen her late father do, he had managed to create a massive floating rock that pulled in massive chunks of rocks that could crush anyone weak enough to be close to it, that was the jutsu she knew would be able to help her friends. A jutsu that would send a clear message, don't mess with us.

Wakana continued to focus on pouring chakra into the space between her hands as sweat began to pour down her forehead, Chie who was seated next to her began to rise up from the edge and took a step back, she could feel how gravity was starting to be pulled towards Wakana's hands and didn't want to be close to something so dangerous as she wasn't really a fighter nor did she have any true strength that could save her from gravitational attacks. She had always secretly feared Wakana more than Yasu because with Yasu you knew that she was dangerous while Wakana was a mystery.

Even the fact that she used gravity was a mystery as she had only ever heard rumours of people being able to control gravity, most of fight they had been they could almost mistake her gravity jutsu for special wind techs that were almost invisible to the naked eye but this small black spot that was beginning to form between her hands was showed Chie clear as day that she was working on something she could only ever dream of. Wakana continued to pour chakra into the small ball as her back started to show visible lines of sweat, she was starting to feel how her chakra was draining as she had never pulled something like this before, she had never focused on a single point for so long and honestly she was kind of getting a bit scared herself because what if she couldn't contain the jutsu? Would she herself be sucked into it? Who would explain to Chikara that both her and Chie died in some freak accident created by her? No, that wasn't going to work, she wasn't going to let him down, Setzusoku down, she wasn't going to fail herself.

They had come too far to stop now, Wakana grit her teeth and continued to focus but to her shock the ball puffed and ate itself. A sigh escaped her breath, her head slouched down as she fought the urge to shed a tear, which Chie picked up. She gently touched her shoulder. "Hey, no sour face, you just tried it for the first time, this will be an amazing jutsu once you manage to pull it off. Now, let's go eat and rest and try this again tomorrow because I don't think you should rush yourself in trying to do some crazy gravitational jutsu with untold consequences just like that. Think this through and try again, tomorrow okay. I'll be there with you, all the way, no worries." Chie smiled and helped Wakana up on her feet, she made a joking remark about how Wakana was sweaty and they both laughed.

Wakana and Chie had come to the cliff edge to train everyday, each day Wakana seemed to get closer and closer to completing the jutsu until she appeared to stagnate, it was almost as if she had hit some sort of plateau, as if she wasn't strong enough which kind of pissed her off because rather she couldn't perform it at all then she almost being able to pull it off but failing the last moment. It pushed her to try even harder, though luckily Chie was always with her to make sure she didn't push herself too hard as to not run out of chakra or create an abomination that killed her.

Today, was going to be the day she could release it without the gravity ball puffing into thin air, today was going to be the day she at least managed to make it suck in debris and not just the air around her hands. So with that determined she would sit down by the edge and begin to focus on sending chakra to the space between her hands, her eyes were closed but due to their doujutsu she was still able to see, which was kind of freaky because she saw herself from a third perspective, Chie was standing behind her with her hands on her shoulder, edging her on to complete the jutsu and sharing some of the chakra so the woman could train a little bit longer than usual.

Come on Wakana, just focus on making sure that the ball doesn't escape your minds eye once it's out of your hands.... Man.... Seeing myself like this is... Weird.... I look rather puffy. Wakana sighed and continued to focus chakra between her hands. No you don't, you are beautiful young woman with loads of potentials, continue babe. Wakana had forgotten that ever since their doujutsu had woken up their minds had been linked, so she could hear her thoughts if she wanted to, which gain was rather freaky because they severally lacked privacy from time to time, unless they deactivated their doujutsu, which was something she knew she couldn't do right now, she just needed to focus on the jutsu at hand and prepare for what would come after.

She wasn't one to be easily distracted but the idea of not succeeding was one thing that always got the best of her. Wakana opened her eyes and saw the gravity ball had grown to the size of a small pebble, Just a little more should do it. Wakana focused on making it grow bigger until she felt like she was satisfied with it's size for she didn't need to fully complete the jutsu today, she just needed it to be able to survive outside of her hands. Once she was satisfied with its size she would release it, to her surprise the gravity ball survived, which quickly turned from fascination into fear rather quickly. "I have no control over it Chie, so maybe we should...." She rose to a standing position and began to back away, Chie followed suit, both took it rather calm at first until they started noticing how small patches of grass began to float towards the gravity ball, then rocks before it finally died out.

"That could've gone worse..." Chie chuckled as she looked over to a smiling Wakana.

"I mean... I did it.... I totally did it!!" Wakana chuckled, she leaped up and down and celebrated that she had managed to make the gravity ball survive out of her hands as it meant that with little more training she could make it far stronger.

Today.

Wakana channelled chakra to the space between her hands, together they watched how the gravity ball was formed in-between before she released it into the air. Chie already knowing where this was heading took a step back and made sure that Chikara did as well, Wakana smiled and watched how the gravity ball slowly grew larger and larger as it began to pick up grass, then pebbles, then rocks, then started to pick up dirt then finally trees and large boulders. She looked back at Chikara who was staring at the miniature moon in awe, he was shocked and had no words which made Wakana smile, together with Chie she would poke out her tongue and perform the peace sign, she had done it, she had impressed Chikara.

*Kuuton • Planetary Devastation
S-Ranked Kuuton Jutsu
After performing the correct hand seals, the user will concentrate kuuton chakra into a space between their two hands which will appear as a black sphere about the size of a baseball. The user will then raise the gravity until the sphere is in the air, up to 80 metres away from the user. From there, anything within a 60 metre radius of area beneath that sphere will be lifted toward it with [Control] strength. This causes the earth to crack and splinter into several pieces before rising, potentially crushing any humans that are caught in its radius. This occurs over the course of 4 posts, at the end of which will be produced an orb of earth approximately 75 metres in diameter.

Final preparations [Social Training]

Post by Mre-face » Mon Mar 20, 2023 10:29 pm

Enzaragi's speed has always been a staple, but it wasn't fast enough. His speed was integral to his fighting style, a rushdown close range swarming type of fighter. Realizing, Enzaragi was already pretty warmed up from his previous training. Speed wasn't only power and strength overtime. Being stronger and more powerful doesn't always necessarily increase speed. Intent and explosiveness was the answer. Knowing this, Enzaragi brainstormed ideas on how to move quicker. Running and fighting was equally important, but Enzaragi was a fighter first, his running speed would come later.

But simply moving quicker wasn't enough, keeping up his technique was just as important. Speed didn't matter if none of his technique was there with him. Knowing this, Enzaragi drilled a few punches, kick and slashes Enzaragi's shadow-boxing started off slow but slowly accelerating keeping up his technique while still moving with fast intent. This was rather frustrating as moving quickly was difficult since it was difficult to measure with one's own body. While it felt like he moved quickly, Enzaragi was oddly tensed up instead of letting his speed flow through a relaxed body instead he hyperfocused on fast intent which made him stiffen up sure he moved quickly, but it wasn't quick and relaxed enough his technique was off. After doing a quick rhythm step, hopping back and forth on the balls of his, letting his arms and shoulders fall to his side, almost going completely slack to his sides.

Breathing out to fully relax trying again, his shadow-boxing felt a lot more natural, his fists, legs and body flew and flowed through the air. His shadow-boxing made the air whistle and sing at the sheer speed of Enzaragi's arms, feet and body. The blades cut the surrounding air around him, it was working, however it lacked power. While contradictory, it made complete sense, in a sense Enzaragi was far "too relaxed" He lost the final stiffness, the rigidity needed to transfer force through his body. It didn't matter how quickly he moved if he didn't have the power to boot, he had the power and explosiveness to generate speed but not the power and explosiveness to deal damage. Again Enzaragi reset relaxing yet focusing, thinking of dealing damage yet moving quickly with intent.

Rythmstepping again Enzaragi started his shadow-boxing again and as he accelerated slowly keeping his technique and relaxed body keeping up the flow but at the very end of his punches, kicks, knees and short sword slashes he stiffed up at the very end tensing up to ensure as much power as transferred in the air he didn't need to strike something to know that he had trained all his life he knew when something had power and when it didn't. Keeping up this flow as he trained his speed. Move with relaxed powerful and fast intent he thought now he knew what he had to do in order to move with speed true to his name. He was living up to his name, not noticing yet, but he was getting faster.

Final preparations [Social Training]

Post by Trusted Grader » Tue Mar 21, 2023 5:30 am

Chikara watched how Enzaragi was shadow boxing, moving like crazy in order to maximize his speed. He studied his stance, the way he jabbed, jerked and bobbed, picking up speed as he continued to perform, there had always been something intriguing with the way his partner fought, both used close quarter combat as their main dish but with Chikara's ability to use genjutsu he didn't have to rely on it as heavily as Enzaragi, though he was, for all intents and purposes immortal in Chikara's eyes.

"I can't let you get a head of me, I have to push through my fears of not becoming your equal in force. Not for my ego, but for Setsuzoku."

There hadn't been a situation as of yet where he hadn't seen the man before him return from battle without any scars, which was interesting because no matter how tattered his clothes was, his skin was always flawless, scarless, speaking of, Chikara was picking up small bits of scars left and right which made him wonder if he should teach any of his companions how to heal, for the idea that the man behind the eyes would be stationed somewhere to heal his comrades was a bit laughable.

"I truly believe he is lying, it's definately his ego." Yasu grunted.

"Have some faith in him Yasu, he may be a bit different but he is a good person." Chie gently nudged Yasu before she walked away to train her sword skills.

"Good is questionable." Chikara chuckled.

Wakana, that's where his landed on, she could work as the team's healer, and it sort of made sense. With her ability to bend gravity she would be able to call back any member from various range and pull them to safety on top of the eagle and heal them there. Genius, he thought, watching carefully the man with the Shōgō-zumi studied the world with his new eye, his other eye the Bijon no Kanshi was always activated in the background, luckily the way his blood worked thanks to his natural gifted doujutsu his second implanted eye appeared like it, until it activated, slightly altering the color from magenta to purple.

The Shōgō-zumi worked differently from the dream eye, this doujutsu who he and Enzaragi had managed to steal from a missing nin they hunted down and had operated in by a doctor named Chiaki would be the path towards a future unseen by them, in fact, it was a risk on its own to hunt this eye. There was a risk in how things would work out with their new allies in Rock Country and a risk for other hunters to come after Chikara for both of their eyes, which prompted him to focus on training more. So, he continued to watch Enzaragi train, move and dance, studying every moment for moment, he felt how his brain was sort of activated with the eye, as if it was able to record more events that happened before his eyes and allowed him to almost react to the speed presented to him, even though Enzaragi without a doubt was faster than him.

'I see, with this eye I can almost see what's happening before it does, it's almost like I am able to predict by the movements of their muscles, a feat possible without the eye but it comes automatic with it.'

He found all of this pretty fascinating, he knew that deep down he would never catch up to Enzaragi when it came to close quarter combat, maybe touch his peaks with the pauldron but to ever stay close to his comrade in that expertise was a pipedream. In fact, the first day they encountered each other was the day he knew that he had met his match in close quarter combat and with time they met even more people that inspired him to do better. He was a slacker, but Enzaragi forced him to always stay on the move.

So, his eye recorded, it danced between Yasu who was fighting one of their mercenaries as she trained to become stronger herself, watching how she bobbed and weaved out of sword slashes, his eye then landed upon Wakana who dodged arrows and used her gravity to push them out of the way while Chie sat down and appeared to be closing her eyes. The wind picked up and he soon realized that she was using it to sense the battlefield.

'I can't believe how much I could've missed if I didn't capture this eye, how much weaker I was not knowing that the world had more to offer, the deal with Iwagakure will surely help our nation grow, and the allowance of this eye will drive me to keep you guys safe. I know I am not the best but I try to be, I try to work through my issues so you guys don't have to.'

'You don't have to, it's not your job to keep us safe, your job is to make sure that there is food on the table, otherwise you will have deserters, even Enzaragi, who is fiercely loyal has a breaking point, just, try not to reach it. ' Chie responded within their mind.

'Shit, if we didn't share a hive mind I would've left you a long time ago, so you better start working on proving who you are instead of drinking away your future.' Yasu blocked a sword, her eyes were focused forward but her mind was still sharp enough to keep the conversation flowing.

This was good, the power of the organization was growing, slowly but steady they were all finding their grooves, although with the way things were going Chikara knew that he would have to take steps to ensure that he was the man he claimed to be and not someone who actively put his comrades in danger, meaning he would have to reach his peak before he could put focus on his companions for they would never reach his potentials, especially if Chikaras bounty kept shooting up. A sigh escaped his breath, he sat down and continued to inspect the battlefield around him, for now the eye couldn't really copy any jutsu, it just allowed him to see more than he usually could, crazy enough the way he saw in his mind's eye was that the left eye caught more color while the right more environmental details, he wasn't sure how his companions saw his shared vision, not that it mattered at this point, he knew that the exchange for two eyes with hive mind capabilities would never beat the ability to return jutsu to the caster.

Now the biggest issue was that Chikara wasn't a ninjutsu specialist, but who was to say that he couldn't master and cast back genjutsu? All of this got him thinking, was there a way he could transfer from one to another? Maybe that was a thought for another time for now he still needed to get to the point where he could work with this eye properly. Chikara chuckled at the thought of what he had implanted in his head, and how much stronger he was getting, slowly but surely. Enzaragi continued to swing away at the air, moving faster and faster while Yasu still deflected against the blows aimed at her. Wakana seemed to slow down as her training was more chakra intense and seeing as she was already able to create a makeshift moon, he knew better than to question her ability to find time to work to become stronger.

He pushed himself to stand up once again and began to channel chakra to his left eyes, hoping that maybe he could find some way to infuse a bit more chakra to it as to allow him to unlock abilities faster. but from what he could tell, that wasn't exactly how it worked. Another sigh escaped his breath as he figured it would be better to just continue training on becoming stronger.

So he took step by step, to learn how to master the prowess that laid before him, his eyes then turned to face Ayuma, who he figured would be a great first step to learn how to copy jutsu from, seeing as the owl was a genjutsu caster and the hand seals would be sealed by any master, so his eyes wandered back to Wakana who nodded as she had followed his vision since she had stopped training to deflect the incoming arrows.

Wakana turned around to face Chikara and slowly formed the set of seals in front of her that would allow Ayuma to cast a D-Rank genjutsu, his body moved on its own, not knowing which jutsu Wakana was going to cast as she had disconnected from the Hive in order to keep her thoughts private for the time being. Even though he already knew all the jutsu, he couldn't keep up, something stopped him from fully automatically forming the hand seals, meaning he still hadn't reached the level he needed in order to copy jutsu.

Chikara cracked his neck before he reached his hand upwards, then twirled his finger as to signal Wakana that they needed to redo the exercise for he had failed.

Final preparations [Social Training]

Post by Mre-face » Tue Mar 21, 2023 9:51 pm

His shadow-boxing had made him feel loose quick and powerful while Chikara observed and talked among his peers "HE'S ONE HUNDRED PERCENT DOING IT FOR HIS EGO" Enzaragi responded from a far jokingly to Yasu and Chie's comment as he continued with a training as they talked among themselves Enzaragi interjected again "HIM BEING GOOD IS OUT OF THE QUESTION!" Enzaragi laughed before continuing on with his training. Enzaragi recalled a training he and his brother did under this father's supervision.

"The goal is to catch as every leaf that falling thought the air after you or I strike this tree to free them loose from their branches! You got that!?" both Enzaragi and his brother Saharai responded in unison with an enthusiastic "Yes sir!"

With that, the patriarch Miyamoto struck both trees with speed they couldn't comprehend at the time, causing the leaves to fall both Saharai and Enzaragi desire to beat the other made them improve at a rapid rate. Enzaragi rushed in snatching as many leaves out of the air as possible, gathering about three before the rest fell to the ground, while Saharai gather three as well. Both were visibly annoyed, which struck Miyamoto with a desire to give advice as too how

"You are too focused on moving quickly but forget that you are samurai! Again, but this time in your fighting stance you lose precious time and energy running after every leaf, instead in your stances gather where your feet are and pivot to catch each leaf. Again!" With that, Enzaragi's dad struck the trees again, causing the leaves to shake free almost without warning.

Reacting quickly, Enzaragi rushed in this time in a fighting stance, able to quickly redirect on the balls of his feet and catch more leaves with "punch" like movements with his hands. This time catching over double the amount, seven to be exact but still not enough which was about twelve this time Enzaragi caught more the Saharai who caught six. Enzaragi gave a sly smile as they got back to their positions. Again they rushed in again to catching more than last time but still not enough This time Saharai being the faster one that Enzaragi.

As the hour went by they improved and improved even if they got more exhausted, taking short breaks and snacking was enough to restore the young samurai brothers and rivals. Despite their exhaustion, they learned to move more efficiently, which allowed them to finally catch all the leaves. "Well done my sons, one day you will make fine samurai or shinobi hybrids I suppose." Miyamoto smirked. "The Jinsoku family has always been renowned for our speed and technique. I can already see it in the way you move. Dismissed!" Miyamoto's militaristic facade turned a little bit softer as his drill sergeant persona dropped. While still stern but softer and homely father type, "Now let's go home and maybe take a look around the town?"

Enzaragi had lost himself in nostalgia, but it also made him realize something, He could use the same teachings from his father all those years back.

What good is combat speed if my running speed isn't up to par. Gotta fight as fast as I move! Enzaragi thought it wasn't enough to punch, kick and slice fast. Fighting quickly and relentlessly is his fighting style, but sometimes hit-and-run was useful as running away when a fight was lost, similar to their battle with the djinn and the battle for rune.

Enzaragi looked towards the trees around him and had a brilliant idea. He walked towards the closest tree and struck it, freeing some of the leaves and catching every single leaf out of the air with ease. It was obvious if he could do it as a mere brat to imagine a grown-up brat his speed was nothing short of legendary catching a few leaves out of a tree was nothing he could even give a grand head start and still would catch it with ease. Knowing this, Enzaragi took a look around and saw the massive tree lines he was going to up the challenge greatly, instead of catching leaves out of one tree or two he would try to catch the entire treeline.

Enzaragi focused up, relaxed his muscles, and locked in on the tree lines, striking each one before finally turning around and catching every leaf one tree at a time made him lose time by the time he had cleared three the rest of the leaves had already fallen meaning he had to move even quicker or at the very least catch every single one while on the move. It seemed like had created an even larger obstacle one that would be difficult to complete, but that didn't matter all he had to do was improve, and there was no room for excuses.

Again Enzaragi prepared himself rushing to strike each tree catching the leaves as he ran, instead this time focusing on moving made it difficult for him to catch every single one, while he did reach each tree he missed multiple leaves along the way. He wasn't moving quickly and efficiently, he needed to marry the two somehow. Moving, while still catching every single leaf from every individual tree, felt impossible. Enzaragi got into position again, this time focusing on rushing and "fighting" at the same time after striking each tree he made himself more than ready to explode off each leg as soon as he caught the last leaf he would explode off his loaded up yet loose limbs to move on towards the next, he entered a state of hyperfocus "flow" as it is called sometimes everything felt slowed down he was locked to his movement was seem less able to run and attack at the same time even using the trees themselves to sometimes jump off from maintaining his momentum gloriously he had married the two his movement was more efficient than ever he was honoring his father's spirit by not only doing the same training but improving it to his own level. He was sure his own father was proud of him.

Enzaragi reflected once again it appeared his father's wisdom was far more relevant than he could ever imagine even in death and this however many years later Enzaragi could still use the Jinsoku training philosophies in many ways even to this day. Using the same methods but modifying, tweaking, and improving where ever it needed to suit Enzaragi's own goals and level of ability. This made him wonder what more training methods he could use even to this day.

"Today we will be learning a concept known as weighted training, the point is to not only increase strength but your speed will improve do not overestimate your strength do not use heavy weights as it will shift more into strength and endurance training, as it will hamper speed and explosiveness." It was an evening training session as opposed to the usual morning training. Enzaragi and Saharai stretched out their arms where Miyamoto strapped on weighted cuffs on their arms and legs, they were a little bit heavy but not so heavy it hampered their speed to the point of detriment.

At first, the weight threw Enzaragi's technique off it felt wrong and sluggish, but he trusted his father's words. After a while of sluggishly slashing away. The weighted cuffs were removed and now his arms and legs felt like air, this concept is known as "post-activation potentiation" to more scholarly shinobi and samurai. However, this concept wasn't difficult to grasp to do something heavy and everything else feels lighter, it was almost caveman-like. Regardless the speed difference was undeniable, he moved faster his arms were lighter his slashes faster, and more powerful it worked. Undeniable, he moved faster he didn't even need to "force" speed it just came on its own, every movement was as if his whole body had gotten lighter.

After a while of slashing and attacking, working on technique, it was time for him to put on the weights again. This time feeling far less sluggish than he did earlier technique remaining sure he was slower, but it was far more efficient so going back to non-weighted again proved even more effective, the young samurai has gotten more efficient weighted or otherwise. These drills drastically improved his speed years ago-

After reflecting on his past training realizing it merits and how he could adapt it towards his own way and for his level of power, Enzaragi realized had no real way of replicating this, save for Yasu's massive sword. "Oi Yasu can I borrow your sword for a second?" asking for permission to wield her prized blade so that he could train his speed even more. His regeneration went, he had a quick recovery from strenuous activity, and it wasn't as if his gas tank could be depleted this quickly from running around and doing some shadow-boxing.

Chikara knew his crew got jokes, he also knew that he usually was the butt of the jokes but what he figured was that this was their way of showing affection, that and he didn't bother to be offended, that would come later, when he drank... Speaking of drinking, it had been a while, his mind wanted to wander to the nearest bar but his crew wouldn't allow him. He peered back at Enzaragi who seemed to be full focused on maximizing his speed, which frankly freaked him out a little, as he was already fast enough to start becoming a blur to Chikara.

Which reminded him that he would have to train his speed as well, but that would have to come later because right now he had to unlock the abilities of this eye for the benefit was far greater, that was at least what he banked on, the ability to defend oneself and attack at the same time was fascinating. As a genjutsu master he had been waiting to find a way to incorporate more ways of distracting his enemies, control and manipulate the battlefield. A sigh escaped his breath as he closed his right eye, shutting out the monitoring from the hive while the left eye began to watch Yasu carefully as she deflected another foe, her weighted sword pushed his puny katana out of the way before she headbutted him.

Chikara could almost read every muscle movement, it was almost as if Yasu was moving at a slower pace than she actually was, this was due to him having higher speed, because Enzaragi was starting to blur out of his reality, which meant that he would have to work on catching up to him before the eye could be worked against him. It was all fascinating, he still figured that he would work on his speed but would most likely never reach the stage of his speed. In fact, he didn't need to, because the pauldron would always be there to assist him when needed, which ironically got him thinking. He strapped the pauldron on and began to feel how his speed got bolstered as the control of his chakra began to lower.

He slowly but steadily began to catch up to Enzaragi's speed as he watched him punch the trees, each leaf fell in what felt like slow motion. Each individual one with their own distinct markings were picked off one by one, Chikara amazed at Enzaragi's speed looked over at Yasu who seemed to be moving even slower, to the point of almost looking like she was purposely slowing herself down.

Turning his gaze back to Enza revealed that the man was running around guerilla style picking the leaflets out of the air, one by one, missing some here and there but always making sure to come back and catch them before they hit the ground. He watched this action be repeated over and over again until he finally managed to catch all of them. It was an impressive feat, not that this would ever be repeated in a combat scenario but the gist of it was most likely that Enzaragi could run and attack with precision, become master of guerilla tactics.

War, he disliked it, but money was still a factor, peace was hidden behind the veil of prosperity and the ever-changing landscape forced players to make a choice if they wanted to stay afloat. Their little slice of heaven was constantly threatened so no matter how safe they currently felt, they knew that it was a matter of time before the hunters came for their heads. A sigh rolled off his breath as he pondered if they made the right decision, was Sovereignty of Freedom a good idea? Or was it a slow ticking death noose they had placed around their own necks?

What was life anyway? One day you are here making decisions and the next you are dead, done, gone. Which meant only your legacy remained, would theirs? Would any of this make it to the history books or would they be dwarfed by the larger players that engaged in warfare around the world? Another sigh rolled out as Chikara peered over at Yasu, a woman he had picked up during the previous war and learned how to become a better person thanks to her contributions, certainly the Shōgō-zumi took a liking to her as it began to outline her movements, almost pushing his body to copy her.

I can't believe it, everything is becoming so clear, her strength actions and almost... Well... I do hear her thoughts, but I can almost with the eye alone figure out what's going on. The more I train with it the easier it becomes to read. Chikara looked at her sword as it clashed with the katana, how it moved and pushed the sword to the side, causing the samurai to lose his footing, he followed how she twisted her body then reached out to grab the samurai and then proceeded to slam his body to the ground.

"Next!" Yasu didn't stop, she continued to fight multiple samurai. Using her sword to both strike and defend, she moved in such a manner that the samurai were forced to stay vigilant because one wrong step and the burly vagabond would grab and slam them hard to the ground.

All of this was recorded by Chikara who seemed to be moving like Yasu without his mind noticing, Chie who was sensing everything could pick up on every miniscule movement Chikara and Yasu was doing and noticed the similarities between them, which got her to chuckle. She could tell that he was copying her jutsu, something Yasu did not like, but due to her being tied down to fight the samurai she couldn't do much to stop him.

"First stage has been reached; my body is automatically copying jutsu my body can replicate. Unfortunately, I won't be able to copy most ninjutsu because I myself lack that ability, a handful of taijutsu will be replicated while nearly all of Genjutsu out there will be mine." Chikara chuckled and was joined in by Wakana who turned the laughter from joy into an evil laugh, before returning back to snickering and chuckles.

What came next surprised everyone, but what followed was even more shocking, it was a display of both respect and intimidation. Enzaragi asked Yasu if he could borrow her priced weapon; Lion's Bane, a sword that was not only special to Yasu but a weapon not even Chikara was allowed to touch, only Wakana and Chie had ever been allowed to attempt to carry it, which they both had failed to do, Yasu had stood close by inspecting as to not allow the weapon to drop to the ground, catching it right before.

So, when Enzaragi asked and Yasu looked up, raised her eyebrow then tossed it towards him with one hand, Chikara knew that it was a special moment. A slight sensation of jealousy grew within the mercenary, but he then realized that there was no reason to feel this way as it was an honor that his friend had gotten through to Yasu, she was the hardest to incorporate into the organization and the one always ready to leave as she seemed rather disappointed that the organization lacked true leadership which she had taken upon herself to take charge of. Chikara, not being the one to argue against her would allow her to and in turn she would lose more respect for him.

But for some reason she always seemed to accept Enzaragi, maybe it was because he too was a taijutsu specialist or maybe it was something else, either way it wouldn't matter. You better not put any scratch on it, or I will shorten your lifespan exponentially." It was a vailed threat but a true one nonetheless, Chikara continued to watch their interactions, Yasu returned to combat the samurai, this time using only a kunai and her bare fists, her speed had picked, surprising even Chikara because he could see a clear difference in her speed level, she almost ran through the samurai who was expecting her to retain the previous speed.

He recorded and watched each movement as he copied it, fighting ghost versions of the samurai, before true mercenaries started engaging with Chikara. It seems that Wakana had nodded at them, which they had taken as an order to engage in combat with Chikara. He was first taken by surprise before he began to engage with them, using the jutsu he had copied from Yasu he would quickly dispatch them as he was far stronger and faster than Yasu due to the pauldron mimicking Enzaragi's speed and strength.

This is going far better than I could ever expect, this eye makes perfect sense with the pauldron, to be able to not only copy their jutsu but mimic their speed and strength, especially theirs trumps mine then it's a wrap." Chikara chuckled, he could feel his speed boosted per minute that went by as Enzaragi was growing stronger. This was a merry-go-round that was getting more intense. As long as I keep training and working with my crew then I should be able to overcome any obstacles. Nothing shall stand in our way, even if we currently are nowhere near the level of untouchables.

Enzaragi knew the answer to his question, he expected Yasu to allow him to wield her sword. At first, she was annoyed by Enzaragi's upbeat personality and zealotism but as they shared more missions and the battlefield together they had grown closer so him halfway knowing that he could wield her blade made him honored. "I will make sure to ruin it as much as possible." Enzaragi jokingly giggly turned around as he inspected her sword, it was beautiful and intricately designed. Every carved detail was a testament to its craftsmanship, no wonder she was so attached to her father's sword.

"This sword is beautifully designed, but damn is it heavy." Swinging around the blade, Enzaragi noticed that the balance was surprisingly well managed so even if its weight can be a burden, which was a testament to Yasu's endurance to be able to carry such a hefty blade for long travels. As he drilled different attacks the way it flowed, was smoother than he had expected while a bit clunky its sheer mass added to its destructive power, so it was a trade-off that was worth it in both Yasu and Enzaragi's eyes, but that wasn't why Enzaragi was wielding it right now he wanted to use it for training as he slashed and cut spinning and using its momentum his whole body being used to generate big sweeping attacks even using his natural acrobatics and incorporating other tai and kenjutsu moves as he drilled with the sword He was a talented taijutsu and kenjutsu specialist, but he didn't have as refined a technique as Yasu's, but it was passable.

Yasu was perfect in this situation, just as he thought of weighted training her sword was there to assist seeing as he had grown far stronger than he was back then. After a little while of swinging it around, it was time to pass over the blade to its rightful owner.

After giving the blade back, Enzaragi noticed immediately that when grabbing his short swords, he became a lot faster it couldn't even be described as air it was even lighter than that closer to that of helium or another element it was unreal almost indescribable.

His slashes pierced the winds with such speed you could hear it whistle if one was within range, jumping around with the blade using his acrobatics was far more cumbersome but as soon as he jumped around and performed acrobatic moves without the blade it felt as though he would jump up into the clouds beyond orbit it was truly remarkable.

Stopping his training temporarily, he looked towards Yasu with a thankful nod, and Chikara and the rest of the gang were as observant as ever. Chikara was getting used to his eye, Enzaragi didn't quite grasp the extent of its power, but it would no doubt prove useful. Their power and importance on the world stage didn't quite match, and that was why they were here. The more they trained, the closer they got to match that level.

"Thanks Yasu" Enzaragi said before continuing on with his training. Looking towards the samurai, and realized he could use their help for a task. Reflecting again he remembered sled training, the idea was to have a sled tied to one's hips with a certain amount of weight, but it never exceeded one's own body weight. That made sense for a young Enza, but he had grown far stronger than that, realizing this, he needed to figure out a way to replicate that.

The first was to just have all the samurai pull as he did his sprints, but that would interfere with everyone's training and mostly Yasu's training, and seeing as she could defeat them with ease it seemed a bit futile. That's when he realized that Wakana wasn't doing much and could be of great help "Ey Wakana I need your help my training today has been really productive and I sorta need your help to continue with this part of my training all I need you to do is use your gravity pull move or whatever. Banshō Ten'in? I believe. Use that right before I run, it should slow me down just enough so that it can make me faster as I adapt to it. Can you do that?"

Enzaragi gave a large smile since he knew that Wakana would respond by being very polite and nice. And it helped that she was always down to earth, so it just came naturally.

"It would be great if anyone could act as a signal!"

Hopefully, she would agree regardless, he would try to perform a few sprints as warm-ups back and forth across the training area. Before placing himself ready for Wakana to perform her jutsu. After drawing a line with his blades, he placed himself on the starting line ready for the signal, utilizing his Iaido training to generate as much torque and tension in his legs and tendons, so he could explode at a moment's notice.

As the signal went, Enzaragi would feel the pull of Wakana's jutsu hampering his explosiveness and speed, luckily he was strong enough to resist the effects, but the pull of gravity was powerful, and it was just what he needed for this to work. He resisted the pull of gravity and rushed forward, eventually reaching the finish line. Finishing the jutsu would end, giving Wakana the time to recover if needed, for them to reset for a couple of more reps. One more time, and he would advance this training even further, so long as Wakana was willing otherwise he would have to adapt yet again, but this was plenty of help. Chikara was as focused as ever, Enzaragi had no gauge as to how Chikara was advancing, but he trusted him.

As he got into position again he waited for the signal and exploded, this time he was prepared for the pull, thus running faster than he did before again reaching the finish line. The difference between the first and second time now only advances it even further.
511/500 +1 speed

11/500 towards next training
Enzaragi was taking deep breaths, letting Wakana take her time in recovering seeing as he wanted her to help yet again but seeing as she wasn't really doing anything he would hope that it wouldn't burden her too much. Her contribution helped greatly, and he only needed her a few times more before letting her go back to relaxing and bantering with Chikara.

Enzaragi had the same idea more or less but with a different execution, this time increasing the distance so that when Wakana's jutsu was out of range the gravitational pull would allow Enzaragi to accelerate exponentially mid-run since he doesn't need to fight the gravitational force jutsu pulling him backward essentially supercharging his speed at the end of the jutsu making him cross the finish line even faster at the end of the sprint this would be a weapon to break any potential hidden plateaus. It worked gloriously last time, why wouldn't it work this time?

This wasn't time for questions, it was time for them to start the final phase of his "gravity" training before starting Enzaragi did a practice sprint marking both the start and the finish line, increasing the distance to double the space needed to finish. Meaning that it would guarantee the effect he desired. Now only to execute, he knew that doubling the distance would make it in a sense twice as difficult as the previous drill.

Enzaragi would perform this a total of three times. As he generated the necessary torque and tension in his ankles and legs. The power was stocked up in his tendons and muscles, ready to explode. As he got the signal, he had a strong start exploding quickly being used to the pull of gravity in his previous training allowing him to run at a good pace before but as he got out of reach the sudden acceleration made it jarring causing him to lose a lot of the momentum and energy built up. He finished, but overall it was a fine attempt.

The second attempt wasn't as smooth as he lost focus on trying to focus on too much of his technique "moving with fast intent" Focusing too hard on what one was doing was a detriment, finding that hyperfocus in between was where one shined. Regardless, was slower this time. After crossing the finishing line. Enzaragi sat down and rested for a little while, analyzing his technique until he felt ready again.

On his third attempt, everything felt perfect the start was fantastic anticipating the pull allowing him to move quickly, and as soon as the pull in his back ceased, it felt as if he was flying running on the very air beneath him which was something he could do literally do when needed but having that sensation while still on the ground was gratifying. As he rapidly accelerated, he crossed the finishing line with blinding haste.

The realization that his ideas worked was giving him a sense of pride he hadn't felt in a long time. The sky was the limit, it seemed.

Final preparations [Social Training]

"You make jokes but you know that I am not, I enjoy your company, make sure I still do after you have finished training with the sword." Yasu grunted before she continued to attack the nearby soldier.

Chikara was rather confused, he couldn't believe what he was seeing, his eye had already unlocked its first form and was already heading towards second form, he was happy that he had managed to find the opportunity to work with it, he watched how the samurai reached for their swords and began to slash towards him, prompting his body to respond in a way that it wouldn't do naturally, he copied his opponent and responded with a heavy clash before he continued to do so on to the other opponent. Slowly but surely, he found himself copying techniques left and right. His body seemed to be mastering artful combinative skills by merely looking at them, although there was a slight delay, forcing him to move in a way that looked rather unnatural.

Yasu's techniques were already implemented in his skull so after he clashed with the samurai, he would body slam them, due to him lacking enough strength the samurai wasn't knocked out, but it was fine as it gave him more time to train with them. He sighed and watched how they returned to a standing position, forcing him to take a deep breath and crack his neck. He dodged under the first incoming swipe from the returned soldiers before he placed himself next to the soldier and slammed him to the ground as a counterattack.

Heavy breath escaped his lips as he struggled to keep up with his newfound strength, it was burning through his endurance faster than he was used to, especially since Enzaragi was getting faster and faster, forcing his muscles to expand and grow, soon he would find himself stronger than even Yasu, which the soldiers noticed rather quickly as their body began to ache from all the slamming. Chikara clashed with a soldier and almost found himself cutting right through the weapon, Holy smokes, how strong is Enzaragi? Chikara wasn't used to this level of strength, in fact he knew that the zealot was strong but not this strong.

The shock turned into a frown as he realized that he needed to train his body as well, although today he really needed to master as much as he could from this eye because bringing it to a battlefield would be detrimental, considering that he had removed one of his Bijon no Kanshi, which was rather annoying now that he thought about it, he had hoped that he would have the skill Sho had when he removed it from his socket but instead he was thrown back to the beginning, though he was learning faster than most none clan members.

"The way things are going we are making insane progress, with this eye and Enzaragi's continues speed training we should be able to conquer anything that comes in our way, well.... Should. we could always just bail..." Chikara chuckled, he wasn't sure if he believed his own words but at the same time, he knew that there was some truth to it. Once they reached climax then they would be rather unstoppable.

The only issue was that he wanted to train his body but until he reached the halfway point it would be rather useless for him to focus on anything else. So once the soldiers regained their composer, he would place himself next to them, he removed his weapons from their straps before he looked over at Yasu.

"I want you guys to do your best at using your lowest ranked taijutsu. I know that I can't really expect you guys to perform genjutsu I can copy so we have to do with hand to hand or Kenjutsu at most." With that said he continued to inspect his men work through their jutsu, his Shōgō-zumi inspected each soldier as they took their stance and slashed the dead air. Yasu did the same although she wasn't entusiastic about it.

The meadow that had been permanently altered was starting to show signs of distress, the ground and trees had been uprooted, the grass had been slammed and trampled and appeared almost like someone had destroyed what once was a beautiful field. Chikara not really caring about this enviroment was starting to feel rather disilussioned. In fact, had it not been for the rising sun then he'd probably wouldn't have cared. The light shone brightly through the treetops and revealed the tired faces of Setsuzoku, the samurai's armor was dirtied and so was their robes.

Chikara looked over at Wakana who was pushing herself to the limit performing heavenly pull over and over, it was almost like Enzaragi had no idea how taxing all these Kuuton techniques truly was, so he watched her struggle to stay afloat before Yasu walked up to her and placed her over her shoulder. "That's enough practice for you today."

"No wait, hold on, let me train a little more-" Wakana didn't manage to finish her sentence before she was tossed into the air, she wanted to scream but was grasped by Shiryoku who flew her out of the field. "You will pay for this Yasu!!!" Prompting the vagabond to chuckle.

"At least she has a strong spirit... Now, we should try to finish this training because we are all running out of steam here." Yasu wiped the sweat off her forehead before her eyes met Chikara's.

He shrugged and copied the samurai's movement, he never liked how she looked at him with disappointment and always felt like he had to prove himself, this time being no different. Chie opened her eyes and let a sigh escape her breath.

"Yasu is right, most of our men are exhausted, Enzaragi on the otherhand seems to be drawing near infinite endurance but I am pretty certain he is running out of steam. You though... You seem like you haven't really been training but it's easy to tell that the eye has drained some chakra out of your reserve." Chie chuckled as she pushed herself off the ground, sensoring so many people at once was getting the best of her for there was so much she could do with the information that had been stored in her head, that and the fact that she had been training for hours.

Chikara, copying the soldiers moves looked over at the moon that started to collapse on its own weight, shocked that it had been in the air for so long without it falling. Man, that's insane, to think that she can uproot so much of the ground and then also keep it afloat for so long can be a dangerous weapon... He knew deep down that once his companions had reached the level of S-Rank then he knows that they will become formidable agents of chaos, or peace if he was honest. Currently they acted more as a nuisance but with Enzaragi and Chikara pushing as the main force he was sure that they would be a dangerous combo.

Taking stance and swinging his weapon got Chikara wondering if he was doing this the right way, maybe the eye would work better during action situations instead of just pushing through a forced combat training, but at the same time he knew that it was better for him to reach the level where he could at least copy higher level techniques before he utilized it instead of going in guns blazing without ever having used the eye before.

Yasu grinned as she looked at Chikara, at first, he wondered why until he looked through his hive mind and saw that the eye had evolved while he was busy focusing on replicating the moves that had been presented to him. "At least you are evolving, I'm almost proud of you squirt." The last part got to Chikara who wasn't ready for a new nickname.

"Thanks... I guess..." Chikara sighed.

"Aw, come on Chikara, there is no need to take offense, at least she is teasing you, that's progress, no?" Chie chuckled and turned to face the falling moon.

"Right..." Chikara scratched the back of his head.

He looked over at Enzaragi who was about to finish his training as well and wondered if he was up for a new mission, at least there they could use their newfound strength to train in a real combat scenario, that was the best place to train certain endeavors such as an eye that copies jutsu and one's endurance or strength.

"Ey Enza, how about we go on a mission and finish the remainder of our training there. Because I think I am reaching my limit here." Chikara felt his chakra getting a bit strained but truth was that he knew that they had two options, either continue to grind against ghosts and people who complied or do their best to learn when they were in a true combat scenario, at least Chikara could learn new jutsu from the real world while Enza could maybe take damage to force regeneration or something, the answer was out there, he just didn't know if his partner in crime was down for it.

Final preparations [Social Training]

Post by Mre-face » Thu Mar 23, 2023 12:44 pm

As Enzaragi turned around from his sprint, he noticed that everyone else was tired and Enzaragi was too focused to notice, maybe due to this regeneration and only performing Taijutsu feats but breaking plateaus was wearing on him as soon as he thought how his body and mind and spirit actually felt. His sprinting training was actually done now, it was wearing down Wakana that Kuuton jutsu was exhausting, maybe it was time for them to start wrapping this up, but something told Enzaragi that he could push just a bit further, so he could truly push himself and surpass his limits.

Yasu and Wakana were arguing, and from Enzaragi's observation, Yasu was in the right they had pushed themselves. "No, Yasu's right that is enough training for you today, I think we made plenty of progress. I only needed you for these sprints. I appreciate the help. I got a bit more in my tank, however." Enzaragi knew he could push himself to the absolute limit because of how his body recovered quickly, essentially allowing him to train harder since he repaired much faster, but it also dropped his chakra pool significantly.

But listening to everyone else was making him also realize that they were all exhausted, which made him also realize that resting adequately was necessary for progress, one becomes faster and stronger when resting when recovering and healing primarily sleeping, But it wasn't time to sleep yet so instead Enzaragi would spend his recovery time on observing Chikara's training reacting was also an integral part of fighting and speed.

What good is fast movement if you can't even react fast enough? Not that Enzaragi wasn't training his reaction time in the leaf drill, he also trained his reaction speed. That wasn't the main goal but snatching every single leaf out of the air fast enough required a great deal of hand-eye coordination as well as seeing every leaf, figuring out their trajectory before grabbing them and moving on to the next leaf. This rang true for every single leaf as well. But this would be more a more deliberate effort from Enzaragi.

Observing their training, Enzaragi thought of different ways of attack and how many weak points he could exploit during their sparring matches. A jab there, a kick there a hook into a slip left hook though it was interesting to see how that eye worked able to copy different techniques it was scary it would surely turn Chikara's Genjutsu and Taijutsu fusion style even deadlier than before.

Keeping track of Yasu and Chikara's training was difficult at the same time, but it promoted him to process different things faster, which is just what Enzaragi needed. Chikara was now the observer while Enzaragi was the observer, their roles had reversed, and it was no surprise that Chikara got more used to how his eyes worked. Watching and perceiving this was underrated, it seems so simple, but its benefits were highly important for combat. A split second could be life or death.

If they keep improving at this rate and gaining new abilities along the way like Chikara's eyes and Enzaragi's metallic skeleton which was also weighing him down, this entire time which was madness in his own eyes able to become even faster while still weighing more and being used to the sensation of his endoskeleton. Reflected on how his feet dug into the ground, the reverberation and shock that traveled through his kouton bones. Forced himself to sprint and run and fight faster than ever before from his body weighing him down more than usual, it wasn't much, but the compounding effect was real.

One step is nothing, but as more and more steps compound on top of each other, an entire journey that could span countries would compound eventually. Same with his metallic bones and training and the kuuton jutsu all had weighted him down, yet he persevered and improved. This lesson was deeper than just "becoming faster" or "more proficient in using their eyes" it was a lesson in perseverance and breaking through obstacles that may block progress, those being Chikara's getting used to his new eye and Enzaragi getting used to being overall heavier yet finding a way to become even faster.

Chiaki and Ichiro had performed a miracle, and Enzaragi thanked Jashin for their understanding of medicine and chakra. His own structure didn't feel that different aside from the obvious heaviness and density that came with kouton bones that, and that the cold bit into his metallic structure, but Enzaragi grew up on the border of Iron, and Rock cold was nothing new to him. Regardless, it was rather remarkable.

Regardless, of these new abilities, Setsuzoku as a whole, and a whole country at their back if they played the right moves could truly create something great however they needed to reach the power equivalent to S-rank otherwise they would be smothered by the weight of their power and others would not hesitate in destroying them that's why they needed to train and surpass their own limitations and reach the necessary level of power to hold on to their country and everything they had built for.

The clouds had begun to form around them as the hours went by. The hours were disguised by their training and the massive move that Wakana had created still intact after all this time. It wasn't straight training they did take their breaks and eat when needed to get back into it but as the clouds from heavy rain would come soon enough even the weather agreed that it was time for them to wrap this up but Enzaragi wasn't finished not, yet he wanted more, one final test to his speed and agility before leaving it was time for him to do an ultimate display of his speed and reaction time this test was what all of his speed had compounded to.

As the rain slowly began to form, Enzaragi waited patiently, watching every raindrop fall down the manufactured moon created a safe place from the pour, but the zealot didn't believe anyone else would take cover from the rain under a mini-moon that could potentially collapse in any minute.

Enzaragi placed himself in the center, watching the rain pour around, every single raindrop falling around him Enzaragi probably looked foolish as his clothing got more and more soaked. Zipping down his coat, exposing his body to the elements, stretching out his arms. Observing every single drop carefully. The speedster slowly gripped his blades before going deep into his stance utilizing Iaido's "Shinigami’s Gaze" technique to become even more vigilant of the area around him performing his dual ghost draw and slashing as many drops around him as possible, He utilized every technique in the book from his own Sasu style, Enzaragi would be a blur and afterimages from around him as the shear speed within his own little area, never exiting his striking range.

Each Iaido drawing technique including using 360° slashes from all his styles, rapidly spinning, and rotating attacks would perform with maximal speed, with no energy wasted in the drops feel regardless, which caused Enzaragi to accelerate with even more slashes and combos and slices all around him in a perfect circle of three hundred sixty degrees all around him. If he wanted to perform this feat, he needed to reach a godlike status of speed. Fighting faster than the raindrops could fall, It felt futile watching him miss and see how more drops would reach the ground yet Enzaragi grit his teeth and pressed forwards.

Then he entered a "flow state" his instincts were now ultra focused seeing every raindrop fall slowly around him, he moved now not with speed but with haste it was precise and deliberate every drop in his little area was cleaved in two the raindrops had stopped touching the ground and his skin. As soon as he felt this odd sensation of no more rain around his area, he sheathed his short swords. Revealing a bubble that had formed around him, completely stopping the rain from touching the ground or him within the area. And as his blur and afterimages ceased, so did the bubble, finally pouring down and touching his body and the ground beneath him.

All the training hit him at once, he was exhausted beyond belief his body was sore and tired and his lungs grasped for any molecule of air.

"Yeah, that sounds like a solid plan. Chikara, I'm spent. Hopefully, we can fully recover along the way because shit am I tired." Agreeing to Chikara's request as the regeneration would help ensure that while he recovered he could use his training to its full use in a real mission. It was time to put their body and Chikara's eyes to use in the real world.

Justus used during his final feat of speedShow
*[Iaido • Shinigami’s Gaze]
A-Rank Taijutsu Stance.
Prerequisite(s): 30 Speed, *[Iaido • Ancestral Visage].
Taking a deep breath and regulating their breathing, the practitioner assumes a crouched stance, leaning forward slightly as their sword hand hovers over the hilt of their blade, the scabbard's edge firmly gripped with their opposing hand. Forcing external distractions out of the mind such as pain, fatigue, and non-critical environmental distractions, the practitioner directs all of their focus onto a single opponent, dropping themselves into a trance called the Theta state. The Theta state allows the practitioner to react almost instinctively to each action of the opponent. These reactions happen so quickly that a proficient user of this stance can commonly interrupt or counter an opponent's actions with a movement or slash before they even finish it. This stance will constantly drain the practitioner while in use, and it is both ineffective and dangerous to use when fighting multiple opponents. If the opponent's Speed is higher than the practitioner's Speed, this technique is rendered useless.

[hr*][Iaido • One with the Spirit]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Iaido • One with the Sheath], *[Iaido • One with the Sword].
Through incredible amounts of practice, the practitioner of Iaido has learned his weapon and its housing inside and out. The user of this weapon can now reflexively sheath their sword in its scabbard almost instantaneously by instinct with either one hand or both hands without even looking. This facilitates further use of other Iaido techniques.

*[Iaido • Spectral Flight]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength, 25 Speed, *[Iaido • Ancestral Visage].
In order for Iaido to stand toe to toe with a variety of high-level opponents, refining fundamentals to a new height is necessary. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to more quickly accelerate to max movement speed and decelerate to a full stop at a moment's notice. This does not offer protection against attacks that the practitioner does not know is coming.

Eishin • Dual Ghost Draw
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: *Eishin • Ghost Draw
A using the basic ghost draw technique as a base the user draws their swords the same but instead of shooting out one of the blades they shoot out two and catch the blades with the parallel hand mid-air.

*[Iaido • Shinigami’s Wrath]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed.
A technique refining the concept of targeting multiple opponents with a single draw, the practitioner uses their sheath hand to reverse grip the hilt. Using the one hand, the practitioner quickly torques their body and cuts with a reverse hand slash a full 360 degrees before immediately sheathing the blade. This technique can strike multiple opponents at once, and the reverse grip of the sword allows the practitioner to more easily defend against counterattacks immediately after.

Iaido • Twin X slash
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: Two katana or other blades.
In this technique, Enzaragi draws two swords at the same time slashing in the same direction at the same time in a diagonal X motion. Then when reaching the end of the slash he does the same thing in reverse.

Sasu • Unforeseeable demise
B-rank Taijutsu stance
Prerequisite: Iaido • Breakneck Sheath
An attack designed to confuse and enhance his fighting styles unpredictability. By rapidly switching between all of his blades he can make his arms appear like a blur to anyone. He always makes sure to have one blade ready at all times when he switches between his blades so he can block at a moment's notice.

*[Iaido • Phantom Step Mastery]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline.
Prerequisite(s): 20 Strength, 30 Speed, *[Iaido • Spectral Flight].
Continuing to push the movements of Iaido past normal human understanding, the practitioner has learned how to quickly decelerate and accelerate their movements so quickly and so fluidly that they are able to create momentary afterimages of themselves with movement. These afterimages fade quickly, but properly reading the practitioner's movements requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. This can be used in a variety of ways to enhance their attacks. Only one afterimage can be created per post using this Discipline.

*[Iaido • Sword Spirit Draw]
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Overwhelming the opponent with a literal shower of high-speed slashes, the practitioner torques the muscles in their arm to draw their sword and continue to assault the opponent's defenses with a seemingly unending wave of slashes. By torquing the muscles in the arm and twisting the wrist when changing the direction of the slash, each strike of the sword is as fast as if it had been drawn from its scabbard. This technique can be used while moving, and the practitioner can feint strikes within the flurry to throw the opponent off-guard. This technique can be used for up to three posts.

*[Iaido • Afterlife Draw]
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Iaido • Phantom Step Mastery].
By momentarily torquing the muscles in their body, the practitioner launches a series of six blindingly fast slashes, targeting vital areas such as the gut, pelvis, neck and throat, large arteries and veins in limbs, etc., upon which a solid blow would prove fatal. The movement of this technique is so fast that it creates an afterimage of the practitioner as they begin to move, and the afterimage fades after the practitioner has finished executing the move. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Otherwise, the opponent will not be able to anticipate this technique and fully avoid even one strike, let alone all six.

Sasu • Consecutive Cutting (used multiple times thorugh the whole feat)
C-rank taijutsu maneuver
Taking inspiration from his Floater style. He has learned to effectively weave different attacks in very quick secession. While these are mostly 3-5 hits. This can be used to deal tons of damage, confusion, fool, and pressure and make them open up for attacks.

Iaido • Dual Amputation Combination
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 30 Speed, 25 Strength
Sheathing and unsheathing His swords with incredible speed and accuracy, the user aims a large number of slashes at the limbs of their opponent. These slashes are made with blinding speed and can be feinted to draw an enemy's guard to a specific area to open up other areas, but they are primarily aimed at the target's limbs in an attempt to cleanly detach the limb from the body. Continuing this onslaught for prolonged periods of time is very taxing and will drain much of the user's physical stamina if used too much. The use of two swords makes it faster than the normal amputation combination.

Iaido • Dual Execution Draw
A-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 30 speed, 30 Taijutsu Iaido • Twin X slash
His own spin on the execution draw. In a single moment, the user of this technique delivers a series of six blindingly fast slashes, all aimed at specific vital locations. First Enzaragi unsheaths his swords at the same time in Diagonal motion forming an X aimed to bisect their chest, then using the same momentum for the next five slashes, Switching between his shortswords to bring the blades across the stomach, throat, thighs, and chest before finishing the assault with a twin slashes aimed to bisect the pelvic cradle before immediately resheathing the blades in the same motion as the final slash. By switching between his blades and maintaining momentum throughout the combination attack, each slash is made as if the blades had just been unsheathed, and the entire attack occurs in less than a second. If even one of these slashes land solidly it could easily prove to be fatal.

Sasu • Omnislash
B-rank Taijutsu maneuver
prerequisite: 2 swords, 35 Speed, Heavenly body control
Considered to be Enzaragi's beginning of one of his most devastating final attacks. First Enzaragi slides backward in a crouching position gathering tension through his legs ready to explode at a moment's notice. He then grabs 2 swords leaving 8 for back-up. After grabbing the 2 blades then fires them off in different positions directly facing each other from each side. These blades are his strength in meters apart from each other. He then jumps between the two blades and goes in for four strikes with extreme speed. Gathering the blades on the way back. Enzaragi's speed is so great when he does this he appears as a blur making it difficult to keep up with him. This can also be performed in the air allowing him to fly temporarily at equal speed to his own speed.
