Captain Ryoshi's ship, the Owashi, glided majestically into the bustling port town, its tattered canvas sails billowing in the wind. The crew, weary from their latest adventure, prepared to enjoy a well-deserved break on solid ground. Kaisui himself, a towering figure with a thick mane of dark dreads, descended to the main deck with a flourish. "Alright lads! Head on over to Quartermaster Crabs. Ye earned yer wages. If ye sailin wit us again I expect ye back no later than midday tomorra! Now be gone ye scallywags. Capt'n gotta a hunger he need satin hahaha!"
The giant leaped off the ship landing with a thud on the docks. He started walking towards town when the harbormaster cut him off claiming he needed a name and his purpose there in port. Kaisui squatted down bringing himself eye to eye with a portly slob who appeared well fed. "Well met good sir, haha, well met indeed. Now I'm sure you know who I am, aye? So les say we forget the name and business, and this little purse o' coin be yers. Or, if you insist, I could I tell the boys on ship the 'arbormaster decided we weren't fit company to receive your warm welcome and see what they make of it eh?" Kaisui simply dropped the purse into the man's shaking hand and walked off. Clearly he knew not to come between a sea weary crew and a bed warmed by fair beauty.
As Kaisui strode into the town, his presence alone seemed to cause a small commotion. Whispers and gasps filled the air as people recognized the infamous pirate captain. Some hurriedly scurried away, whilst others couldn't help but be drawn to the allure of adventure and danger that surrounded the massive man. Making his way through the narrow streets, the giant soon found himself at the underground heart of the lively port town. The sounds of laughter, music, and clinking glasses emanated from a raucous tavern known as "The Siren's Heart." The captain's singular eye gleamed with anticipation as he pushed open the creaking door, revealing a room filled with rowdy patrons and a haze of pipe smoke.
The moment Captain Ryoshi stepped inside, the room fell momentarily silent, as if the air itself held its breath. Then, a wave of recognition and excitement washed over the patrons. The pirate captain's reputation preceded him, and his arrival in the tavern signaled an evening of grand revelry. With a confident smile, Kaisui strode toward the bar, where a grizzled bartender wiped down the counter with a rag. Kaisui would drop a coin on the bar and hold his hand out. "Bottle o' Kraken's Ink if you would good sir."
Bottle in hand Kaisui would shout out to the patrons, hoisting his drink into the air. "To the freedom 'o the sea and endless adventure!" His deep voice echoed across the room. The patrons erupted in cheers, raising their own drinks in response. Kaisui would in turn tale a swig of his rum before glancing around the room. Unbeknownst to his crew Kaisui didn't return to port to relax or for supplies. He'd initially planned to stay out at sea much longer. No he was here on business, the only thing that gave him a pause was he had a different contact than normal.
Taking another swig from his bottle to give himself more time he allowed his eyes to linger over the ladies in the room. Many of the lassies were rambunctious and flirty, like women of the night seeking to ease the men of their money. A few were even Kaisui's type but none stood out as his contact. Then he spotted her. One of the ladies dressed to draw the male gaze, but was ignoring the attention she garnered.
"Well now lassie whats a fine thing like you doing in a wretch like this? You look like yer waitin on bet'her company than this sorry lot. Unfortunately, I've a mercy to inform ye I'm likely the best you'll find in a place like this." Kaisui would say with a smile as he approached. In his mind she was either a noble born who needed wet work done or she was his new contact unfamiliar with the usual charade he and Hotaru would play.
