Many things happened by the time Rika spoke her first words to the former Kazekage's construct. Before the door was even fully open and Hito's vision captured the distinctive red hair and skin, he was certain he'd found her. By the time the door was fully swung open, he'd already turned his head to observe the surroundings once more with the added context that she's here. Simultaneously, he attempted to reactivate the connection between him and the rest of the spirit network that possessed him into this construct in the first place. But nothing happened.
When he was first placed into this body, it was a blip in his memory. There was no sensation of transference or a gradient, just one moment he was Hito and the other moment he was Hito in a construct. When he received the first signal through the message to begin searching for the SoS leader, however, there had been a distinctive connection. A sensation of being a pebble in an ocean, as opposed to a pebble in space like he felt now.
Rika's words finished and Hito had to pry his mental functions back to pay attention, having sufficiently subjugated the creeping sensation of annoyance and even potential panic. There was something fundamentally wrong with his connection to the rest of his spirit network, which was not at all planned for or predicted, which meant everything about him was temporarily incompetent and unreliable. Was he even still really Hito if he couldn't connect to sync up to the network anymore?
It took some control to not physically shake his head as he exerted further control on re-anchoring himself to the present. Subprograms in his mind would slowly work on the rest and prepare it for when he had time to delve further, for now he sitll had his original parameters and a target that had been located. But clearly, from her speech, she was not herself either.
Adding to his growing list of concerns, he quickly realized she had some sort of memory issue. Her eyes, the way she held her body, the strength or lackthereof in her voice and the complete lack of familiarity with is famous visage. This was going to be more complicated than anticipated.
[color=#C9B037"Hi! I'm sorry to bother you,"[/color] He started with the goal of disarming, her body language reeked of panic and confusion. Last thing he needed was her feeling more of that. He had to understand the scope of her issue and her situation and then pivot to bringing her home for proper healing. Until those first two points were met, however, he had to tread lightly for everyone's sake. "My name is Hito and I've gotten a bit lost in the area looking for a friend." He made no attempt to disguise his Suna ninja garb and dropped only his first name in hopes it'd help her tie the image to a memory. "I've been roaming out here for the last two days, is there any chance you could spare me some water?" His voice seemed genuine and his ragged appearance would surely come in his favor now.
A very likely and most ideal of these non-ideal scenarios was that she had just been picked up by a good-natured family. If that were the case, this would be the easiest way to get himself in and into a position of fulfilling all his goals with minimum damage to anyone's life while achieving maximum speed for the sake of his other plans. The very thought of the timeline gave the briefest urge to grab the Hizashi by the collar and see if he could still perform space-time jutsu in this disconnected state.
If he were allowed in, Hito would follow Rika's lead very courteously and ask about the other inhabitants of the dwelling.
