Training for this Jutsu:

Tomeru • Chuukonki [Stop: Medium energy]
D-ranked ninjutsu
By concentrating on a visible energy as large as a average campfire, Hito can stop that energy. With this, Hito can stop fire, electricity, visible chakra and light. But he can only stop the amount described above.

Combined Ninjutsu and Stamina are equal to:
6-7: 50 ticks ahead
8-9: 40 ticks ahead
10-11: 30 ticks ahead
12-14: 15 ticks ahead
16-20: 7 ticks ahead
21-30: 3 ticks ahead
31-40: 1 ticks ahead

Hito woke at precisely 5:00 am. No alarm woke him, just habit and the knowledge that he had something important to do today.

After stretching and putting on his clothes, Hito opened the tent from the inside and stepped out into the desert. It took his breath each time. The sand, the dunes, the sky, it was all so beautiful. Hito could not understand how somebody saw this and thought it ugly or barren. Hito couldn’t even fathom looking at this desert with anything other than pride, longing and more pride.

This desert was a beautiful, majestic land. Nothing would ever stop that. The dangers? The hardships? Hito understood that desert life wasn’t exactly easy or safe, but that’s exactly what made it so amazing. If places like Konoha, with its trees and grasslands, is the garden of eden, then Suna is like the elite part of heaven. Not just anybody can live here, you must be qualified, adapted, evolved.

Unfortunatly, this is a fact that has been somehow ignored by most. Something Hito was sure to change in his lifetime. How, he was not sure yet. All he knew was that he needed to be the best he could be, and then some. For that reason, he was here.

It was time for him to learn one of the most important Jutsu in his arsenal, energy stop. His grandfather had agreed to help him learn the Jutsu, but Hito refused help for anything other than the first one. He would not waste his grandfathers time with something he could do on his own.

Speaking of…Hito turned his head to the right, his grandfather had beaten him once more. There was a small camp fire in front of both tents, his grandfather was beside it, pocking the fire with a small twig. Hito examined his grandfather’s eyes as they glared into the fire.
He was a mysterious man. An incredibly powerful one as well, some say he could have been kazekage if he tried. Hito agreed, but understood why he didn’t. His grandfather became important in the Ouji clan at a time where they were ignored and despised by most. He spent most of his life training and improving the Ouji reputation, and he did it beautifully. The Ouji were now not only well treated, but respected and looked upon. His grandfather was a great asset to the nation, an incredible ninja when he was in his prime. Even now, he could probably beat down most of the shinobi in the village.

Hito was thankful for that. He respected his grandfather for what he did, but he also sought to do what his grandfather couldn’t. His grandfather committed his entire life to the clan and the clan only, he took missions that would help the clan, not the village. He didn’t become kazekage to work on improving the clan, not the village.

Hito on the other hand, he’d become strong for both his clan and his village. Thanks to his grandfathers previous work, this was possible.

“Let’s start.”

They were both silent as Hito sat near the fire opposite of his grandfather, his eyes concentrating solely on the fire.

“Good, Identify your target, glare at it, know it, understand it, feel it. See the time, the space it consumes. Picture its entire structure, picture the time inside of it as a ball bouncing from one wall to a ceiling, to the floor, to the other wall. When you’ve pictured it, catch it.”

At this point, Hito watched his grandfathers hands, he was slowly forming the necessary hand seals. Although, his eyes weren’t activated so it did nothing. Without asking if he needed repetition, he performed the hand seals once more to let Hito memorize it.

“Ok, got it.”

Hito stared intently at the fire, watching the orange, yellow and hints of blue. He stared for a few seconds, trying to visualize every aspect of the fire. Suddenly, his eyes lit up as they were activated, the signature clock appearing inside of them as Hito performed the handseals.

The fire seemed to grow heavy under Hito's gaze. It became slower and its movement into the air become more visible, it looked like a wave moving in slow motion. The sparks crackling from the logs underneath looked like small pebbles as they slowly lobbed themselves into the grass.

"You're not concentrating enough."

Hito drowned out the voice, drowned out the sounds around him, held his breath, blocked out everything from his mind and his vision other than the fire. He could feel the heat on his skin, he could see the light it was emitting. Past tense, was.

The heat, the lights, the flickering, it stopped. The campfire froze beautifully. It was incredible, like somebody put pause on the world. Frozen fire, it was incredibly beautiful.

“Good job, grandson.”
“Thank you, grandfather.”

His eyes dimmed as the heat from the fire returned.

Jutsu acquired.
