Hito pulled his hood down as far as he could over his face as he kept his body hidden within his cloak. He moved relatively slowly, wading through the large crowd of people that pushed past him hurridly as they rushed onto another day in Suna.

Hito was concentrating on the target, but at the same time, he found himself slightly distracted by the efficiency of the citizens. They moved briskly through the streets, yet there was no chaos. People weren’t rude to others, there was no violence and Hito saw no thieves or disturbance. Admittedly, the villagers weren’t exactly ecstatic, but they weren’t depressed either. Each villager did what they had to do to survive, working hard. In turn, they ended up rotating the wheels that kept the village itself moving.

Each component fulfilling its role, each person doing their part to keep the village running. It was beautiful, and the lack of chaos was just more proof of how Suna was a superior village meant for greatness. Hito was certain, he’d see to it that these villagers were rewarded for fulfilling their roles. As reward for being so vital to the life of the village, Hito would make sure to make Suna as wonderful as he could for these citizens.

Hito shook his head slightly and stared ahead once more. He followed the blonde head of hair that moved calmly through the crowd. The hair was as false as the face. The handsome man that moved happily through the village was in fact a shrewd, ugly and dangerous old man. A rather dangerous missing nin who left Suna years ago.

Sources caught him transforming and sneaking into the village 3 times this month. He takes on the same appearance each time and disappears into the village, only to come out some 3 or 4 days later. Hito had been sent out to tail the man and find out what he was doing, then take him out if he was doing anything suspicious.

Although not a fan of killing, Hito’s blood boiled at the very idea of a suna missing nin. He loathed them insanely. He couldn’t understand why anyone would ever want to betray the village, it drove him insane with anger. Hito had carved the face of every suna Missing nin that he could find out about into his memory. He would make sure to kill any of them instantly on sight.

So you can imagine how dedicated Hito was to this mission. He was extremely careful as to not alert the missing nin in front of him. The nin was supposedly C-ranked, or so he was when he left, but higher ups believe he has gained knowledge and strength since his escape years ago. On the other hand, he also aged rather nicely, making him a little physically frail. Either way, Hito didn’t dare underestimate his opponent, he wouldn’t give this traitorous scum the chance to catch him by surprise.

Secretly, Hito sort of hoped the nin would do something now so Hito could take him out. The hatred Hito felt for this man was seriously deep.

Hito snapped back to reality and stared at the back of the mans head.

Or he tried to.

The man was no longer there, he had disappeared.

With a momentary look of panic, Hito leapt to the position in which he last saw the target standing in.

He looked frustrated, shocked and panicked as he looked around him, looking in every direction for the blond hair.

He nearly missed it. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the blonde splash of hair moving quickly. Nearly snapping his neck in the process, Hito quickly looked to where he saw the hair moving. As he looked at the empty doorway, he could see a shadow moving and then disappearing. The height was about right, it was the missing nin.

Hito sprinted quickly, no longer caring about his cover. This man was moving very fast. Not out of caution or habit, he wouldn’t move like this just for that. He knew Hito was there and he was attempting to throw Hito off.

He nearly did it too.

Quickly, Hito sprinted through the almost closed door, reaching for his kunai as he burst through it and ran suddenly into a large empty room. He nearly ran into his own death, but luckily stopped his charge short, just in time to keep his forehead a few millimeters away from the sharp kunai pointed dangerously at it.

The owner of the kunai smiled deviously as he held it. He held it rather professionally and dangerously. It was the blonde target. His facial features seemed a little distorted now, his eyes especially. His eyes gave off a murderous nature, something even a henge Jutsu couldn’t disguise.

Moving quickly, Hito kicked forward, pushing the man away while pushing Hito back at the same time. As Hito moved backwards, he performed some hand seals. The missing nin moved just as quickly, throwing his kunai rapidly towards Hito.

Hito had expected it however, that’s what the seals were for. The kunai was thrown by an expert, for it froze directly in front of Hito’s left eye. The left eye that was now glowing with a clock design inside of it, the glowing ticker moving according to the Jutsu Hito just used.

Quickly, Hito jumped back once more and pulled out a Kunai of his own and moved to throw it forward. Only, his arm didn’t listen. Instead, Hito felt the prick of a needle in his neck and felt it leave as fast as it had been inserted. Immediately, Hito lost all command over his limbs, hardly managing to stand up. A second later, he fell to the ground.

Slowly, he lost a little of his conscious and his concentration, causing his Jutsu to be broken. The roar of pain caused by the continued flight of the kunai into the unknown needle attacker’s shoulder was the last thing Hito heard. He couldn’t help but smile as his consciousness left him.

He’d been captured.

“Watch him. Don’t take your eyes off of him at all, he’s a Suna chuunin, they’re tricky, devoted bastards. Especially this one.”

The voice spoke with authority and…rage. Disgust, even. Most of all, however, the voice was soaked with malice. Certain people have appearences that immediately bring out the caution in people, an appearance that screams, “I’m a bad guy.” It’s not a racial thing, or a gender thing, or even a species thing. It’s not skin color or a facial feature that only a certain group of people has, but it’s a collection of aspects that just join together somehow to make the person look evil to the core. Somebody with this appearance can’t even stand still without causing those around them to shift uncomfortably.

This was just like that, except as a voice.
The voice was enough to strike fear into an average person. For hito, all it did was cause a higher amount of caution. The voice that replied to the dominant one caused the opposite reaction however.

“Yeahyeah, I know. You’ve told me a million times.”

This voice was lethargic, bored and defiant. The owner of this voice didn’t want to obe here, much less be bossed around and treated like a fool.

But he was treated as one for good reason, he was one. The dominant voice knew this and called it out instantly.

“Don’t talk. Ever. Don’t talk to him, don’t talk to me and don’t talk to yourself. A shinobi can figure things out just by your voice, especially a crappy, unguarded voice such as yours.”

Hito silently agreed. He kept his eyes closed, although it didn’t matter since his head was covered, and listened carefully. The dominant voice knew that the lethargic voice was a weak link, subject to trickery which could lead to Hito’s escape.

“Damn it, man. Fine.” The voice replied sorely.

Judging by the way he spoke, the dominant voice was a ninja and the lethargic one either wasn’t, or was a very stupid one. Maybe lethargic voice was a henchmen, or just a hired thug. Hired thug seemed likely.

The fact that such a careful missing ninja with a professionally guarded voice was using such a weak minded person to guard him, Hito guessed that there weren’t much forces around other than these two. He was completely wrong of course, but there was no way of him knowing that.

There were no more voices, the only sound that followed was the opening and closing of a door. Judging by the lack of creaking and the slamming of the door, Hito guessed that it wasn’t too old nor was it too weak.

They had ducktaped his mouth along with covering his head with some sort of cloth, but as he was listening, Hito slowly pushed against the corners of the ducktape on his mouth with his tongue, applying as much saliva to it as he could.

Slowly, the corners softened and started to lose their hold on Hito’s skin. Taking advantage of this, Hito quickly pushed the center of the tape with his tongue. At first, not much happened, but eventually, Hito could feel the duck tape pulling away from his skin.

Finally, Hito gave a final push with his tongue and even spit outwards a bit, sending the duck tape flying off.

Now came the moment Hito depended on.

If this grunt replied and didn’t follow the Ninja’s orders, Hito’s escape was certain.

“I see your boss is the balls of this operation. I’m guessing you’re the asshole? The guy who gets fucked over all the time but is too stupid to realize it.”

This vulgar language wasn’t like Hito, but he knew it was what got under peoples skin the most.

There was a moment of silence, only the shifting of the grunts feet could be heard. He had stood up quickly and was moving towards Hito. He knew what was coming next.

“FUCK YOU!”

The grunt screamed loudly before sending a punch to Hito’s stomach.

Hito smiled.

His escape would be easier than he hoped.

Hito smiled.

His relief was stronger than the pain in his stomach, caused by the punch. Even so, Hito grunted slightly and arched his torso forward, making it appear as if he was hurt.. In fact, the punch was weak, not to mention he had been expecting it.
Hito had never been so thankful for being punched. The fist that slammed into his stomach was also the one that lurched open the door to Hito’s escape. The punch confirmed two things that Hito needed to know if he was to escape. One, it confirmed Hito’s assumption that this man was not a ninja. The punch was light, inaccurate and weak. Even a genin doesn’t hit like this. The second confirmation was that this grunt was easily manipulated.
As the grunt pulled his arm back, he laughed and yelled loudly towards Hito.
“Talk shit now, bastard.” He was rather proud of himself, so one can imagine how disappointed he was when Hito laughed back and did as the grunt asked.

“You punch like a girl.”

All this provocative swearing wasn’t Hito’s style, but he had to, it was the best way to manipulate the grunt.
Immediately, Hito received another punch to the stomach, followed by an equally weak punch to the face. “I fought a 3 year old stronger than yo-” A kick to the chest interrupted his taunting.
The kick also sent the chair he was tied to flying backwards. The chair landed hard against the ground, releasing a loud cracking noise as it did so. The noise of wood breaking. Hito heard the noise and immediately screamed out loudly, releasing sounds of fake pain in an attempt to distract the grunt from the wood cracking noise.

“Let me see your face as you squirm.”

The grunt was obviously proud of making Hito cry out with pain. With satisfaction, the grunt pulled the cloth from Hito’s face. Hito blinked rapidly, his eyes quickly adjusting to the light as he looked up pat the grunts face. It was a fmiliar sight, Hito knew this man.
This grunt was a small time criminal from suna. Did small robberies throughout the village and left after seriously injuring an old lady after she caught him breaking into her home. The old women was fine after months of medical attention, but she had been pretty beaten up after this grunt was through with her. Although it was a terrible crime, the village didn’t see him as important enough to chase. Hito, being the criminal loving person that he is, carved the face into his memory.
“Hello, Jeremy. I saw your mother the other day, she looks so much happier now that you’ve left.”

It was immediately apparent that Hito had struck a nerve. Jeremy’s face went blood red with anger as his facial features contorted to form a painful look. With a yell, Jeremy suddenly stomped downwards on Hitos chest. This time, it actually hurt.

“MY NAME. IS, MASTER J!” As he yelled, Jeremy pushed harder into Hito’s chest, limiting ow much he could breathe.
“Master… of…. What? Beating… old… defenseless… women?”
Hito was forced to speak between pauses, his speech limited by his short breath caused by the foot pressing into his chest. His taunt was successful, judging by the Jeremys angry yell followed by another painful stomp, harder this time. The stomp knocked all the wind out of him, leaving Hito gasping for air momentarily. It also caused a slight cracking noise in the chair beneath him, but only Hito heard that.

Defiantly, Hito smiled up at Jeremy once he caught his breath, speaking normally this time, Jeremys pushing against his chest had lightened up.

“What’s wrong, Jeremy? Not easy overpowering people that aren’t 80 years old” Another look of pain shot through Jeremy’s face as he angrily brought his foot up again and moved to stomp downwards on Hito.
Before the kick could alnd, Hito threw all his body weight to one side. The movement caused him and the chair to roll slightly, making it so they were laying on the side. Hito had to bite his lip in pain as the weight of his body and the chair pushed down on his arm that had been tied to the side.

The movement had been too fast and Jeremy didn’t have time to stop his stomp, or to even realize what had happened. The stomp connected perfectly with the wooden chair, barely missing Hito’s elbow. The stomp sent the final blow to the chair, creating a large hole through half of the chair. Before Jeremy could pull away, Hito pulled forward with both his arms, causing the back of the chair snap off cleanly, freeing the ropes that kept Hito’s arms tied to the chair.

Quickly, Hito grabbed Jeremys foot and pushed upwards, sending Jeremy falling backwards. As he did so, Hito keenly noticed the pocket knife hooked onto Jeremys pant pocket. When he landed on the ground, the knife fell outwards and scattered to the floor.

Hito moved rapidly, crawling to the knife before Jeremy could overcome his shock and realize what was happening. The moment Hito grabbed the knife was when Jeremy registered what was going on and started to move. It was too late however. The moment Jeremy started to sit up, Hito threw the knife at Jeremys chest. The blade punctured the heart perfectly, giving Jeremy only a few second of self reflection before he fell to the ground, face first, sending the knife even deeper into his body. He was dead.

Hito felt no sympathy as he rolled Jeremy over and pulled the bloody knife out of his chest. Efficiently, Hito cut the ropes holding him to the remains of the chair and then cut the ones tied to his arms.

Now came the actual escape.
