A Doctor in the House?

Post by Arion » Sun Feb 16, 2014 1:00 pm

It was a perfect opportunity for young Hiroto. He had been yearning to work on his Ninjutsu some more so when his brother and father both came in banged and bruised from their mission it was the chance he was looking for. For a moment he wondered why they had come home, but he brushed that thought aside quickly and thought about how he needed to hurry and aid them. He would use his Iijutsu, which was a form of Ninjutsu, to get them as close to perfect as he could as his skill was still beginner level.

The first one sent to him was his brother, the father he refused to be attended first. As his mother helped bring him in, Hiroto had already started on hand signs. He would be weaving hand seals left and right before the day was over. When he completed the set, chakra was focused first to his hands and then throughout his upper body. A sterilization technique he used often at the start of a procedure to avoid spreading more bacteria. Once that was done, he would take on the patient.

His brother only had one wound on his left forearm and yet appeared to be in great distress. Hiroto went to work on another pair of hand signs. He needed to figure out what was wrong and while he had an idea, he needed to be certain. When the seals were complete he gathered chakra to his hands once more and questioned how his brother had gotten the wound. He was told that it had been an arrow and with that knowledge he set his hands over his brother’s sternum and began to work. He stood still, hovering over the young man who resembled him and his mother both. He would wiggle his fingers gently, as if tugging at invisible strings and then he stopped and gave a nod.

Hiroto swiftly asked for a knife and jar to be brought in as he gathered chakra into his hand. When they were both brought, he took the knife in his hand and made a cut below the current wound. Then he began to channel his chakra into the cut in order to extract the poison. The young man had to be held down as Hiroto continued without pause. He knew that something like this was a race against time and he finally found it. He began to extract it unto his palm and when he felt he had enough of it, brought his hand over the empty jar. The liquid result of the poison and Hiroto’s chakra poured into the jar and when it was complete he gave his next set of orders. They would wait a small amount of time for the antidote to be ready and then have his brother take it. If it did not work, then it was a stronger poison and needed to be taken to the medic-nin immediately. His mother nodded and was off with the brother and jar.

Next stepped came in his father. He did not appear to be suffering from any poison, which was a relief to Hiroto. The man’s wounds were rather plain to see. A senbon was stuck in the right thigh and a burn on his right arm. He was glad he had the technique to deal with senbon but the burn he only knew he to alleviate it. He went to work on a set of hand signs, opting to ease the burn first. Once the signs were complete and chakra gathered to his hands, he hovered them over the burn. His chakra began channel into and around the area and the effect was visible when the man grinned and nodded. It took some time before Hiroto was completed with that as the burned area extended from the elbow to the shoulder. Once done, he moved on to the next task.

Once more he began to seal hand signs and focus chakra to his hands. He was glad this was the last hurdle for he was beginning to exhaust himself from using so much chakra. Next time he would work on that instead but for the moment he had a senbon to extract. With the seals done, he was ready to begin as he hovered both of his hands close to the wound and lodged senbon. A thought ran past his mind, a question he would pose once he was done. That thought though distracted him and he had to focus again as the slight mishap had hurt his father’s shoulder. He quickly set his mind straight again and focused on the task at hand, working on having the tissue move the senbon up and out. When it was close enough, he simply yanked it out, but his father did not complain that time. With chakra on his hands still, he hovered it over the wound and began to work on clotting the blood in it to prevent bleeding out. When that task was done he sighed out and stepped aside to check on his brother and the antidote.

He was surprised to see that it had worked. His brother was beginning to feel better and even his father came into the room feeling relieved and well. Once they were all in the same room, Hiroto posed his burning question. Why hadn’t they gone to the medic-nin? People whom were far better trained and skilled than he was. Their answer was simple. They had overheard him saying something about wanting to work on ninjutsu, so they decided to help him out. The mission his brother and father had gone on was nothing more than them having a sparring match with the neighbors, whom were also in on the assignment. They had kept injuries minimal and his mother had gotten all the needed materials. It was a set up, to help Hiroto train and he could not help but smile at them. Of course his smile faded once they told him that the neighbors were in need of medical attention as well.
