[Graded]That Training Tho

He was late. Zekka wasn't, of course. Zekka was never late, and he always arrived incredibly early to ensure this. Rather, the person he was supposed to be meeting was late, the same person he was supposed to be supervised by for training, something that was quite rude, really, considering that the man he was meeting was supposed to be his senior. Normally Zekka would have waited more patiently, however today was not a day for patience, it was a day for learning new things, something the young boy had always been slightly impatient for, even going so far as to work harder to graduate the academy early.

He sighed heavily and reached up under one of his brightly colored sleeves, releasing a scroll from its holster, before unfurling it and using it to unseal another scroll with a bright flash of light. Putting the original back in its place, he unfurled the new one, giving it a glance. It was a new set of jutsu he'd been tasked with learning, medical techniques, from the most basic to the most advanced, and he intended to conquer all of them as quickly as possible. The room they were in was a currently unused classroom in the Sunagakure ninja academy, all of the desks and chairs pushed to the wall to make room for training events such as these, and so he set the open scroll against the chalkboard, resting open, draping along to the floor. The first ones were easy, they were obviously meant to be, but it was obvious why they were important for even the most basic of medical procedures. There wasn't always a sink and proper soap to sterilize yourself with.

The boy closed his eyes for a moment of concentration, focusing on his breathing as some of his teachers had taught him, before bringing his hands together and holding them as such for a single hand seal, chakra pouring from his core and into his hands being molded by force of will, along with the handseals themselves. The feeling was unusual, as he had never projected his chakra in this manner before, as the energy flowed from his fingertips and up along his body, trailing up along his chin and lips, before resting below his eyes in a thin, light blue blanket, helping to prevent foreign material from entering unwelcomed. A mirror and a sink in the back of the room confirmed that the technique was a success, as Zekka ran a finger along the sheet of chakra, smiling at himself satisfactorily.

Not unlike the *[Iijutsu • Chakra Gloves] technique, *[Iijutsu • Chakra Mask] shines when the real deal is not on hand. After forming a single handseal, the user will focus chakra into the area around his/her mouth and nose to form a thin layer of chakra around them. This chakra will help to keep the user from breathing bacteria onto a patient during procedures. This technique can be held as long as the user has chakra.

The techniques were even easier than Zekka had expected. He wasn't particularly good at ninjutsu, but these were almost literally, childs play, techniques as easy as some of the ones learned in the academy, and now that he thought about it, rather similar to the water walking techniques, at least in theory. Glancing over at the door to the room, the young Shuudoushi boy raised a brow, looked up at the clock in the corner of the room, and rolled his eyes, releasing the chakra mask from his face, and walking back over to the scroll propped up against the chalkboard. Crouching down a bit to read it better, he squinted at the words and pictures on the paper, before straightening his back, and repeating his process.

Eyes closed, breathing focused, chakra working... Except this time it stayed in his hands. A different hand seal was used this time, and as Zekka willed his chakra to work its way from his center, through his arms, and out his fingertips once more. This one was incredibly similar to the mask, though as the chakra thinned out around his hands, forming a gentle coating over his fingers... but it began to spread too much. It went up his arms after it finished with his palms, uncontrollably covering more and more of his body. While the idea might have been useful, it wasn't the point of the technique, and so he focused harder, shaking his head and letting out another deep breath of concentration. The chakra began to recede a bit, floating off his body in small tendrils as the wasted energy was left alone leaving only what was left on his hands, that thin coating meant to keep normal bacteria and the like out of patients wounds.

He looked down at his own hands, before raising them up to eye-level, turning them over as he investigated the results of his jutsu, rubbing and touching his fingers together to feel the results of the chakra, even rubbing it against the bare skin on his arm to see how differently it felt to just bare skin. He slowly released the chakra flow to the gloves before walking back over to the chalkboard, glancing between his Iijutsu scroll, the door, and the clock, sighing once more as he realized his 'supervisor' was getting later and later by the second. Finally, when the door would eventually open, Zekka would smile as brightly as he could, despite his irritation, saying out loud. "Pleasure to finally meet you!"

Kamizuru had been sending out invitations to genin and chunin of Sunagakure no Sato all week. He had enlisted nearly a dozen young shinobi under the guise of a gathering for knowledge and training. It was mostly to direct the attention of the village away from his endeavors, at least for now. In truth he was doing this for all selfish reasons and he had a master plan in the works. In fact he had a plan that would span and unfurl for quite some time, all for the sake of his intensions. For now though, he needed a group of people to act as his stepping stones. He needed a good way to gather power for the jutsu that he craved so much that he would be willing to go through these mundane measures for.

His first stepping stone was gathering this group. He needed a few shinobi that would act as a thinking tank. The reason why humans flocked together in highly concentrated groups was simply to transfer knowledge and experience between them in an easy fashion. It was a good way to amplify your skills if you could surround yourself with other people with the same goals as you. Kamizuru was at least a god who believed in the power of mortals. He made it to the academy quite late; it was his kingly edict to never wait on mere mortals. He walked into the room and found a single shinobi. From his age alone Kamizuru could assume he was a genin. From the third eye on his forehead the godking could tell he was a Shuudoushi. Kamizuru’s golden features came alive with interest. He had sent an invitation to only one Shuudoushi.

Zekka, I am pleased to meet you as well. I do apologize for the wait. I hadn’t known you would already be here. I am glad that you have not wasted your time though. You may call me Kamizuru.” The golden chunin spoke in his usual flamboyant and exaggerating manner. He never held back, and anyone who even glanced at him could tell he was an ego maniac with an aura of self-importance. It was a feature he refused to hide.

He glanced at the scroll propped against the board and began to read it. Simple enough.

Interesting jutsu you started with, however I believe this one might be a little more effective.

He began by making the handseals. He charged his skin with chakra. Kamizuru never had a problem with chakra control; in fact he had spent months refining his precision for him to learn Kuuton. His skill was easily known by his effortless learning of this particular Iijutsu he only glanced at once. His upper body and hands began to burn slightly as his skin was sanitized. Only a faint layer of green chakra could be seen to prove he had completed the jutsu.

No then, why don’t we get started?” He smiled.

As sanitation cannot always be guaranteed in field operations, this technique provides a quick substitute to traditional sterilization methods. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will channel the chakra throughout his/her upper body (torso, arms, hands, face). This chakra will chew away at harmful bacteria and other foreign bodies on the skin, cleansing it until it is thoroughly sterile. Of course, this takes both concentration and time, and in order to sterilize the entire upper body, it will take a duration of one (1) post. Users of this technique can also choose to sterilize certain parts of their upper body or the wounds of another person instead for a lesser concentration period. Once they are sanitized, they remain this way until coming in contact with more bacteria.

The man was strange, that much was obvious from the beginning, from the way he walked to the way he talked, everything about the man was... flamboyant. Zekka was trying to get a read on him, though it was hard to tell how much of this was him being a ponce, and how much was being a good, unpredictable ninja. He decided he'd give the man the benefit of the doubt, respectfully bowing at his entrance, and hiding his irritation masterfully, and speaking up as he watched his senior perform the jutsu with ease. He must have been at least a somewhat practiced medical ninja, which surprised the young boy somewhat, most of his teachers had been applicable only to teach him things he didn't care much for, but if this man could help him with his Iijutsu...

"Kamizuru-san, I appreciate you coming to supervise training. Have you practiced with many medical techniques before?" The question was more one of politeness than anything, as it appeared the man had great mastery over his own chakra if his show of the sterilization jutsu was anything to go off of. The man seemed eager to show off his techniques as well, which was a boon for Zekka more than anything, as he tended to learn best by watching and doing, rather than being walked through every step of the way. His hands came together, slowly working their way through the handseals the man had just shown him as he spoke up. "Of course, no time to waste!" He agreed with the man, eager to be started.

He went through the handseals a few times without applying chakra to them, looking to his teacher, and back to the scroll against the blackboard to ensure he was doing the seals correctly. He took a deep breath, flashing through the hand movements much more quickly this time, chakra oozing from his body and up into his hands, molding the chakra before beginning to wash it back over his body, turning from the light blue color of natural chakra, to the light green so common to Iijutsu techniques. The chakra seemed to slam into his stomach brutishly, washing its way over his body, and flowing its way down to his waist, around his back and chest, working its way smoothly along his neck and face, before oozing down his arms slowly. The feeling of the chakra washing over his skin was familiar by now, however what wasn't familiar was feeling it eat away at bacteria across his skin. It tingled and even burned a bit as it seemed to chew away at the top layer of his skin, killing off the nasty bits it touched, actually making him feel shockingly clean, like a bath in a jutsu.

As the jutsu continued to eat away at the bacteria, the young Shuudoushi turned to his teacher with a soft smile on his lips, accented by the green chakra cloak that was slowly dissipating around him. "That's... a strange technique. If the scroll is correct, it's primarily used before surgery, yes?" The scroll itself was woefully unspecific on many things, obviously meant as a teaching aide rather than a full teacher in and of itself. It showed handseals, a visualization of chakra, and a basic description of what the technique did, but rarely anything more than that. It was good to have such medical tools on hand, though the continued use of them in popular medicine seemed odd, when looking towards the bottom of the scroll, things like the famous healing hands technique were available.

Zekka was certain everything had its uses, even if he couldn't immediately see them. Walking over to the blackboard once more, and picking up the scroll to give it a quick glance, though not for too long as it would likely be considered rude to his new companion. "Well, Kamizuru-San, what would you like to move onto next?"

Kamizuru listened to the Shuudoushi while he prowled dominantly about the room. He was much like a wandering lion who was establishing their territory. He walked with his arms at his back. Taking large yet silent steps around the room which showed his dexterity of a ninja. After circling the room twice he stationed himself to the back and sat atop one of the desks. He folded one leg over the other and locked his fingers. He didn’t respond to Zekka right away. He was still examining the genin, taking in every aspect of him for an appraisal of his worth. The first objective for today was obviously training, of course the second was adding to his possessions.

He smirked finally and let out a slow response. “No, I have not yet trained in medical ninjutsu before most recently. In fact I believe we are on the same level in this respect. However we both may have separate reasoning for our investment in Iijustu but for now we are equals. I am not your supervisor but your partner in these endeavors.” He spoke of equality but obviously that was as impossible a thought to the king of all gods as the desert freezing over.

He leaned backward slightly. “Preparation for surgery. Hmph. It is but a basic foundation for the more intriguing techniques. A necessary foundation but a dull one none the less. Tell me, Zekka, what use is any of these jutsu without practice? How would anyone learn without a quality of pressure?” Perhaps Zekka would find this golden colored shinobi rambling but Kamizuru did have a point to make, it was only a matter of keeping up with the aura exhumed by one such as him.

While Kamizuru spoke the rest of the pieces were falling into place behind the scenes. A person walked into the room, as if on cue, with something bundled within his harms. The character didn’t offer a greeting or even anything which would offer Zekka an idea of his identity. No name or face. He was merely hired help by the god king. The unnamed person unraveled the cloth and exposed a bird – a small falcon. Its right wing jerked violently. Its beak hung open and a wet gurgling noise resonated within it. Patches of its feathers were gone. Overall the bird was a wounded mess. The person who brought in this injured animal bowed before Kamizuru before making his exit. A question would have to linger in the air: had Kamizuru ordered for this animal to be injured? The chunin had no interest in answering that though.

Kamizuru climbed down off of his perch on the desk and stalked toward the bird left on the floor in the middle of the room. He stopped in front of the animal and took a knee. Slowly he reached out his hand and rested it gently onto the falcon. Now was the interesting part. He poured his chakra into the creature. He had charged objects with chakra before. He had tried to make things explode or simply strengthened them. However this channeling was for a much more passive reason. He used his chakra to extend his sense of touch beyond feeling the surface of this creature’s battered body. He used his chakra to feel the inside of it as well. The chakra resonated over the bird’s body in ripples of sensory information. It explored the bird, detecting any abnormality in the creature’s physiology and then feeding it back to Kamizuru. The chunin concentrated. His eyes showed strain as this jutsu took quite a bit more effort than the last. It made sense. This wasn’t an ordinary technique he was using. This was an ace amongst medical jutsu. It granted the user a complete diagnosis of the patient’s body.

A cool expression came pver kamizuru’s face once more as he offered a confident smile to his associate. He lifted his hand from over the still entirely injured animal. If there was a precursor for Iijutsu, this would be the best one. He stood and turned to Zekka.

It doesn’t have long if not attended to immediately. I would have to say that it is suffering from internal bleeding, a broken right wing, a ruptured lung, as well as several other minor injuries and fractures.” Kamizuru spoke as if he had a handle of the problem but the fact remained that even with his overwhelming chakra control and a full analysis of the bird’s body he didn’t have any real precision. Kamizuru wasn’t interested in being a doctor and his physiological knowledge was greatly limited by his lack of interest in general biology. Kamiizuru had his eyes on a certain jutsu so anything that didn’t inherently lead to that end was only a pointless detour. The king of gods wasn’t about to be distracted by detours.

That medical diagnosis is what I can offer to you. The honor of making an objective and educated decision lies upon you. I imagine in the world of realistic medical work is not too far off from this scenario. Please feel free to approach this creature in any way that you would like, Zekka

Watching the strange golden man walk around the room, Zekka was unsure of what to say for the longest time, before the man finally spoke up, causing a bit of bated breath he had been holding to finally be let out, audibly so. The young Shuudoushi boy inclined his head as a sign that he was listening, nodding to show humility and respect to the more senior member of the Sunagakure ninja corps. The elder was staring at him, and while Zekka was usually quite calm, the strange way the man was looking at him made a bit of sweat trickle down the back of his neck, and a lump that he found hard to swallow get stuck in his throat. It was hunger, like a lion eyeing a gazelle before the feast, or a fat merchant taking his pick of a freshly slaughtered goat. The man before him however neither lacked human intelligence like a lion, nor was he slow like a fat merchant; A fact that scared the young boy internally more than anything. It didn't take long for Zekka to realize that the man had stopped talking, however, and that a slightly awkward silence was following because of it.

"Of course, Kamizuru-sama. It's not quite the kind of training I'm used to, I must admit..." He trailed off, remembering that even his first Henrin instructor, who had been there to help hone his body more, had generally eased him into things, even if the end result was him having rocks thrown at him. "I'm sure the change of pace will help both of us learn better... from each other." He finished with a small smile on his face, and a bow in the direction of the golden man who was to be his teacher. The young Shuudoushi's back straightened suddenly as the door opened, an unexpected guest for the brightly dressed boy, though his supervising teacher was obviously expecting them, as his facial expression didn't change at all to indicate surprise. Something was in his arms, swaddled in cloth like a baby needing to be protected from the heat of Suna, however what was inside turned out to be far more gruesome. The boys eyes widened as the cloth was parted to reveal a bird, whatever specific species it was was not Zekka's specialty, but it was clear even from a casual glance; The bird was heftily injured from unknown causes.

The innocently optimistic boy suspected nothing of malcontent from the golden man who was supervising his training today, and immediately rushed over to the poor bird on the table, listening eagerly to the golden man who had just diagnosed the bird. The boys surprised expression turned into a shocked frown as the man, instead of healing the bird, simply told Zekka what was wrong, and asked him to fix it. So this was the kind of training the man meant, being thrown head first into the water when one didn't even know how to tread water yet. Shocked and unsure how to react for a moment, the boy bowed to the golden man, excusing himself with "J-just one moment, please!" Before running off to the blackboard to grab the scroll he had left there. Nearly dropping it as he picked it up, he unfurled it nervously as he walked, awkwardly tripping over his own feet, palms sweating as he tried to figure out what to do.

Some of the injuries Zekka had no chance of healing -- Broken bones for instance were significantly out of his league, but he took a deep breath, and promised himself he would do whatever he could to at least keep the thing alive, and hopefully keep it healthy. Forming the two handseals necessary for the chakra gloves and chakra mask, the young boy quickly went to work, poking and prodding, trying to find out where exactly the beasts collapsed lung was before he could fix it, as well as making note of any points where the flesh was torn, aiming to take care of both of those parts first, before he could even hope to moving onto the others. He listened to the birds reactions, frowning to himself at the noises it made, a deep pit of despair building in Zekka as he struggled to keep himself composed.

Kamizuru already gave his opinion on this particular matter. He had given Zekka a diagnosis of the patient and believed that would be enough. With some common sense and a calm mind it wouldn’t be too difficult to issue a decision as to what to do with this particular case. Kamizuru was overall a serious young man. He acted with flamboyance and a more than overwhelming extraverted personality that might seem less than thoughtful. However Kamizuru was entirely severe when it came to training. His style of helping might be considered as hurting to some. He wished to put a fire under the young Shuudoushi and see just how he would handle the situation. The way the boy chose to act would determine just how much he was worth or just how much potential this one had.

Judging from his jutsu and his demeanor, Kamizuru couldn’t give the boy a failing grade. His overwhelmed performance and hesitation was expected but did chip away at his appraisal. Kamizuru’s golden amber eyes observed for a few more seconds before he made a follow up decision. It seemed that he had asked too much. What Kamizuru had chosen to withhold was that this bird wouldn’t last long. The fact was if Zekka didn’t double in speed, the bird would surely die. It wasn’t that the godking found this animal’s life precious enough to save, but he thought there was more moral to benefit from if it should live. For that reason alone he was willing to help.

He got closer and observed the chakra. He examined the jutsu that Zekka had chosen. Skin regeneration. He determined this from the wounds that were being repaired with the medical chakra. However the subject was still bleeding heavily. He hadn’t any idea of how much blood a hawk had but he assumed regardless of the amount, it would prove unbeneficial for it to bleed out.

He lifted his hands and put them on the bird. Kamizuru had his own scroll and had been studying the parchment for a while before coming here. He looked into Zekka’s eyes and smiled briefly. During his studies he found a low ranked jutsu that could at least stop the bird’s external bleeding. The chakra transformation into a passive and stimulating energy was already mastered by the gold adorned chunin. He targeting the wounds and flooded them with chakra. He used the light green medical chakra to stimulating and manipulate the blood platelets. It caused the blood to slow and harden gradually to a congealing gel from a liquid. Slowly the blood came to fill up the wound and even more gradually the blood stopped but it wasn’t a moment too soon. Now Zekka could freely repair the damaged skin.

This highly useful field technique is applied to bleeding wounds to help encourage the coagulation of the blood. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them over the bleeding wound and begin to channel chakra through it. The chakra will began to thicken the blood, causing it to clot. Wounds must be dealt with one at a time, and the number of wounds that can be tended to within the three (3) posts that this technique lasts depends on their size. Small wounds take very little time to clot, while moderate wounds take one (1) post of concentration to clot, and large wounds take two (2) posts to clot. Although this technique stops the bleeding, the wound remains vulnerable and will require further care after this has been performed.

The young Shuudoushi's breath hitched a bit, the green glow of the Iijutsu chakra covering his hands and face seemed to be all that filled his vision as he closed his eyes, focusing on the pool of chakra deep within his body, welling up inside of him like a great spring ready to burst in a geyser. He opened his eyes after only a few seconds, to notice Kamizuru forming his own handseals, assisting in the healing of the bird, to which Zekka could only give a tiny smile and a nod, appreciative for the assistance, not wanting to see the poor bird die, if he could help it. Certainly, animals died in the wild all the time, but there was no reason for it if it wasn't part of the natural order of things, especially when the opportunity to save it was so near.

Taking two deep breaths, regulating his breathing once more, just as he had done in the training for his senbon launcher, keeping his hands steady as they flashed through the handseals he needed before thrusting his arms out, hands hovering mere centimeters over the birds feathers and torn flesh. The green chakra flooded from his arms and down his hands, eclipsing the thin layer from the chakra gloves, as it spread out over the eagles entire form, the skin visibly knitting itself back together as the muscle wove together. The feathers around the torn flesh would not be repaired from the jutsu, unfortunately, as large patches of angry pink skin shone through the hawks coat, before he sighed, and turned to Kamizuru. "I th-think that's all I can do, for now..." The young boy started, his breath heaving a bit, much of his chakra having to go into that technique. "I'd like to heal the broken wing, but... Well, the chakra scalpel technique is a little beyond my capabilities, if I may be honest..."

In the case that the skin sample is separate from the body, the cells can be multiplied more quickly than they could be otherwise. These types of samples are generally use for skin grafts. The *[Iijutsu • Skin Generation] technique can be held for four (4) posts.
"It's so sad!" the reader said to the writer with a frown. "The character in my book just died!" The author turned to her and burst out into tears, "I know!" he said, "So did mine!"

[Graded]That Training Tho

Post by C.J, » Sat Aug 08, 2015 6:55 am

“Hmm, I see. That is quite problematic to be honest…”

Kamizuru spoke mostly to himself while examining the bird at on the ground. The injured creature would prove a difficult test subject that would require many advanced methods. Sure it would only take a moment to learn and apply the techniques required but Kamizuru knew that he was asking a lot from Zekka across from him. Perhaps the young Shuudoushi wasn’t quite ready. Kamizuru remained in thought for a moment when another figure walked into the room.

It was another of Kamizuru’s associates, much like the one who delivered the bird. Like the last, this one walked straight into the room and offered no time for Zekka to even notice his face. He kneeled next to Kamizuru and whispered into his ear. The king of all gods grimaced for a moment. Perhaps he was given poor news. Regardless Kamizuru only nodded then looked across to Zekka.

“Unfortunately, I have a pressing matter to attend to, Shuudoushi Zekka. I would like to give you my apologies. Please continue your training, however I must leave. I hope we may meet again.” That was his final word of goodbye before he reached over to the bird’s head and snapped its neck with one smooth motion. The figure wrapped the animal back up and carried it out with him. Kamizuru only nodded to Zekka before getting up and walking off.
