A strange fusion

A portal opened up in the courtyard of a branch of the Naegi clan as from it stepped two men, one dressed in white with clothing that appeared to be a bit heavy even for the cool pre-sunrise temperature of the Sand village and a tall young man who was dressed in dark clothing of a similar heaviness. No one knew that the duo of Nori and Zao had just traversed such a grand distance in a few seconds arriving home from a snowy mountain top village. While their was a smile on his face inside the young white hair was still a bit exhausted from the battle with the spirit which lay within a jade green jar grasped carefully within the scholar's left hand. The tearing of space always created a strange sound which alerted nearby clansmen to the sudden appearance of the two young man, though a look of confusion was upon the face of the first to arrive as they have never witnessed the traveler to bring another with him. "This is Yashiro Nori, he is here to help. Is Funamji-sama awake?" Zao took note of their faces and gave a quick explanation before the couple of men looked at each other and then nodded to the other and brought their gazes back onto the two opposing men.

"It is still early, only five in the morning..." It was only then that the former shinobi hadn't even been thinking about the time as he looked over to Nori with a slightly embarrassed look as he had dragged the man along with him without even thinking that they probably should have taken the time to rest up properly. Exhaling slowly "Well Nori, this is the Naegi compound. Can you prepare a could rooms for us?" He wasn't sure if his traveling companion had ever been to the clan compound so he simply informed him where they had teleported into before turning towards the two younger men now asking if they could have a places to rest up. Zao hadn't gone into to much detail with Nori but he had explained that the spirit they had captured on the mountain would play a potentially large role in helping to increase the clan's strength and in doing so increase the relative strength of the village if they were able to succeed in this spirit experiment. "Let us rest and we'll meet back up here in the morning. I'm sure that they would not mind allowing for you to rest here or you are welcome to go home to do so my friend."

Plus their was no need to wake the family elder at this hour anyways, after the pair would finish exchanging words with Nori, Zao would allow for the two men to lead him off to a guest room and they would allow for Nori to either join them or help escort him to the compound's exit. With the former shinobi vouching for him it would be easy for the young shinobi to return in the morning after some rest and refit. Then the pair would meet with the clan elder and Nori would be able to understand a bit more why capturing the spirit was so important to not only Zao but the clan. A short while later the white haired man had barely put his head down against the small pillow on the rice mats before drifting off to unconsciousness from the adventures of the previous day. Knowing that another adventure awaited the next day...

As the duo stepped through the strange portal Nori felt happy to be back home but as he looked around he noticed they seemed to be in some kind of compound, the Naegi compound more exactly, though he could not be one hundred percent certain since he had not stepped in before, the young man did notice the features he always saw from outside and all the extra greenery found nowhere else in the village and so he could only deduce it as such.
"The Naegi compound?" he questioned with a concerned look upon his face.

Once they did come through it seemed Zao was very friendly with the clan and began asking for the elder only to be alerted to the time, which did make sense now that Nori thought about how long their fight had took and how short of a rest afterwards it had been for his friend. In either case it was still already much warmer than up in a snowy mountain, which quickly reminded the man of the extra clothing said friend pulled out for him and what should now be removed and as such that is what Nori did as the clansman and Zao talked for a brief moment.

"Thank you for your hospitality" the lanky male replied graciously as he followed on toward the guest room.
Once they where there he handed over the poncho-like cloak to his new comrade and nodded acceptingly before taking in the man's explanation for what was to happen next.
"I believe this belongs to you" he said quietly as he handed over the clothing.
Once given the explanation it all made perfect sense to the black clothed shinobi and he could see the advantages that taming such a spirit could offer, though he still filled with some concerned over how vile of a demon it seemed and yet he was certain Sunagakure would be able to handle it much better than some small village in the mountains.
As he contemplated all this he slowly began to drift to sleep and surely had some dreams about their victory over the beast, filling Nori with hope as he felt like he served the Sun and her Holy Light with great effort.

[Zao]

"Ah, yes." The white haired man replied as his comrade's words had just reminded him that he too as still wearing the extra warming layers only now realizing that he was beginning to get a bit warm from the sudden change in temperature going from the snowy mountain top back down to the deserts of Wind country in just a few moments worth of time. With a quick laugh at himself he nodded taking the clothing back now as the Naegi clansmen led the pair off to one of the guest rooms. While this was only one of the families within the clan itself, they were still striving to improve their power not only within the clan but also to prove themselves capable shinobi for the village outside of the standard duties that the clan had to the village and those within its protection.

After arriving within the nice room that could easily fit both of the weary travelers the guides bid them good night now leaving the two opposing dressed men to what ever their nightly routines might be. Zao removed a scroll and used it to seal away the extra clothing that Nori had returned to him and that which he was wearing, as well. Then he followed suit of his partner as he took up residence on one of the three mats left over laying his head back against the firm pillow and allowing his sky blue eyes to gaze up at the ceiling as they attempted to stay off the sleepy look that could be seen in them. The traveler was thinking about all the work that the clan and himself had put in up to this point and the preparations that would need to be completed tomorrow before they would be able to attempt the new sealing method that the two groups had managed to come up with between the records of the old technique within the clan's archives and Zao's personal spirit sealing knowledge as a Tenku user.

Letting out a slow exhale the young man could no longer hold back the feeling of drowsiness that quickly washed over him allowing for him to fall straight into a deep sleep without worry. Though it felt like morning had came early, as only six hours had passed before their was four gentle wrapping sounds against the thin door that separated the guest room from the hallway outside. This was enough to stir the white haired man into consciousness now allowed for him to slowly struggle to open his eyes lids before it taking a few more seconds to actually set up allowing the thin blanket to slide off him before he called out. "Please come in." The door slide completely open revealing a trio of men, two were young chuunin while the man in between the young shinobi was an older looking grey haired man who the scholar immediately recognized as the younger brother of this family's leader. "It's been a while my young friend, Shino had to attend some urgent matters within the clan with the heads of the other families this morning."

A gentle smile was on the former shinobi's face as he quickly gathered himself and stood rendering the older man a salute before speaking back in turn. "Juno-sama, you didn't have to come personally to greet us this morning." It was quite the show of respect for the older man to come in person to see them as him simply sending one of the other jounin of the clan or even a chuunin to check on them this morning would have easily sufficed. Though this silently showed how important this venture truly was for the Naegi to Zao now as he lowered his hands listening as the older man continued to speak. "It is no problem, breakfast is being made as we speak and the preliminary preparations are also being made. Please join us when you two are ready." He spoke about breakfast and the area being set up for their attempt at recreating the ancient pets from a time before the Naegi were part of the village and needed a strong source of protection from outsiders wishing to do harm against them. As he turned to leave the old man saw the sealed jade green jar which contained the spirit as a glimmer could briefly be seen in his eyes, this could be the key to increasing his family's strength and even the clan's. He hoped that everything would go according to plan today...

"We will be there shortly." Zao replied to the offer to join them for breakfast now before watching the trio turn to leave now before then shifting his bright gaze over to Nori who he had spoken with before about the plans he had with the Naegi and the sealed spirit. Of course their were certain worries due to the maliciousness of the spirit in question but the young man believed that the sealing process that was more of a fusion slash possession style technique would erase the personality and memories of the spirit once fused with the plant type that had been chosen for this venture. Shaking away any negative thoughts that man spoke to his friend, "Seems today will be a good day, Nori-san. Let us clean up and get some breakfast." A gentle smile upon the scholar's thin lips as he removed some clothing from a scroll that were actually identical to the ones he had been wearing before changing into the fresh clothing and washing his face and hands. With that accomplished he made sure that his partner was ready before the pair would head off to get some well deserved food in their stomachs.

Nori nodded towards his new friend as the pair settled down in the small guest room, quickly feeling the tiredness that seemed to rush through his body the more he prepared to go to sleep. Though it felt a little odd to sleep so closely with someone he only just started to know, that was something one might expect to occur in a mission situation even if they where technically in their home village.

However the smallness of the room and the lateness of the night made the lanky male feel like just quickly lying down and going to asleep, as such he hurriedly placed his equipment aside and simply laid down under the sheet he was given after taking off his top. It wasn't as nice as getting fully changed but then again the man usually only slept in bottoms anyway so being topless in bed was nothing new to him, though he couldn't say if perhaps it was a little awkward or not given a situation.
In any case it would be the first time that Zao would catch a glimpse of Nori's strange and religious seeming tattoo; a stylistic sun tattoo surrounded by the four cardinal directions on the left side of his chest. It seemed the tattoo's design featured both the beliefs of Yuumagure and Vrashni in its pattern.

Despite going to bed rather stern and straight upon his back just like his general demeanour overall, the sandy haired man appeared to shift in his sleep and by the time morning rolled around he was completely sprawled out across the floor, his legs and arms sticking out from many corners of his sheets as his whole body formed a very fascinating shape indeed.

Once morning did in fact roll around and the white haired male arose and called in the man waiting outside, the misshapen, disfigured being of a person instantly shifted in a blinding flash as the special jounin also woke up and straightened up in an almost, greatly embarrassed fashion though without truly showing such feelings on his face as he swiftly pulled a stern look over it instead.

With all the formalities out of the way Norio turned to his friend with a smile as he looked at his shining face with great eagerness.
"Indeed so Zao-san. It sounds like we must get ready already for the day ahead, whatever it may bring us" he replied in a kindhearted fashion, a hint of curiosity at the tip of his tongue as he found himself becoming curious on how all this spirit stuff will even work.
After he spoke he then gathered his things and cleaned himself up just as his comrade did, though it took extra effort for himself given he had to reapply all his makeup and his earrings but as for where clothes where concerned he felt his previous top would suffice for now given he had taken it off to sleep anyway and pants where more wearable over many days in his mind so they would work too.
Once dressed and ready the young male greeted his comrade once again ready to go with the others to have some lovely breakfast.

"It should be a good day, Nori-san." Zao was quite content as he finished smoothing out the wrinkles in his white robe before joining the dark counter part and advancing through the lavishly decorated home under the escort of a maid who guided them straight to a large table. There were a number of family members that were already seated quietly eating as a few of the older family member were bantering back and forth about a number of daily topics that alternated between things going on in the clan, to other things going on today in the village, to even the dry weather outside. The elder man from before waved his hand telling the pair to have a seat and eat up for today would be a new start for the clan if all went well. The white haired young man didn't decline the offer and took a seat were their were a series of four empty place mats and a maid began to offer him and Nori a variety of breakfast items.

Today's breakfast carried a joyful vibe as those seated at the table spoke and ate before almost fifteen minutes had passed in the blink of an eye now and breakfast was slowly coming to a close. With their fill of food the oldest man stood and gave a gentle wave of his hand toward the two outsiders now beckoning for them to follow him now before turning and slowly walking away causing his golden decorated kimono robe to shimmer from the rays of sunlight that shined in from outside on this lovely morning. Quietly getting up the man nodded to his comrade before the pair would then follow behind the elder for sometime as he led the two young men through the complex and into a courtyard that was within the very center of the large home. There their was a small building with a set of gardens that you wouldn't see anywhere else in the village outside of the set up green houses, a powerful and sweet smelling fragrance permeated that air of the courtyard. This beautiful flower beds surrounded a small building that looked like it was used as a type of storage shed but as they followed the man it led down into the ground via a winding set of stone stairs that appeared to have been carved with near perfect precision.

The underground area was lit via fuuinjutsu created light as the trio ventured down four or five stories into the earth before following a tunnel that led into a wide cavern possible the size of a football field now with a ceiling height around forty to fifty feet. In the center of the room was a fuuinjutsu circle with nine lines of fuuin jutsu swirling off the center formula into nine smaller circles. It truly was a thing of beauty to the eye of the scholar who had designed it along with another fuuin master from the clan after reviewing old script from the clan that took months to translate as the language used in it had been spoken in many years. But today was finally the day in which they would finally be able to test out all the theories and hypothesizes that both parties had thought up and they were even able to acquire a fairly strong spirit thanks to the two men dressed in light and dark clothing. Though they didn't truly know who Nori was they were still quietly thankful for any assistance that he had offered in the process of dealing with and sealing the creature away.

"It truly is a marvel of all our hard work, Juno-sama. How long until we are ready to start?" Zao couldn't wait to begin as all the preparing and waiting was at an end and the answers to his questions were finally within his reach now. His bright eyes shifted over to the old man who had a reserved smile despite the excitement that he two felt within himself at the moment but his bearing and discipline had to be at a much higher level, obviously, due to his experiences and his position within the clan itself. "They are in the process of bringing the first test plant over, a carnivorous thorny vine we finally were able to successfully grow. Out of the ten plants it was amongst the top four hardest to grow but out cultivators have more or less mastered the process now." The young man nodded and turned back to Nori now and started to point out the fuuin formula to him speaking to him about how the fuuin was a modified version of an ancient one left by the Naegi clan ancestors before they were part of the village. It's purpose was to serve to meld a spirit and plant together to create a type of hybrid pet to serve as a guardian or protector for clansmen after they bound it. After being bound the pet's would be loyal to a fault, even willing to die for their new masters.

"Oh course, this is just what the scripts told. We will have to find out how much was actually true." As Zao finished explaining things he added a little side note as no one was for sure that things were going to work out how they were hoping they would and this was indeed an experiment which was why things were being conducted in secret incase anything went wrong it could be contained here. It was only about ten minutes later that a pair of young clansmen came in carrying a large flower pot with a creeping golden vine with harsh looking thorns growing from its long vine, slowly it swayed back and forth as if waiting for the proper moment to strike at prey. Placing it in the large center circle now other shinobi came from both the clan and some were acquaintances of Zao himself who would help in the sealing/fusion process by keeping the spirit stable.

Now for the last piece the man's slender hand reached out in front of him opening a small hole in the fabric of space retrieving the spirit filled jade green jar and pulling it from his personal realm and its starry skies back into the mortal realm. "Let get the final preparations started..."The man slowly exhaled through his nose after speaking, beginning to prepare himself mentally for the upcoming task of attempting the spirit plant fusion, it was then that he looked over to the taller man beside him now and nodded confidently. "We may need your help after the fusion if the creature gets to rowdy, my friend. Thanks for coming along Nori."

Nori simply nodded toward his brightly dressed friend as he then followed on towards this breakfast gathering which seemed rather large and comforting, though also a bit boisterous and full of some more heavy discussion like that of the clan's politics and the like. It was certainly much more than what was typical for him at his own home since he lived a simpler life looking after his father whenever he was there, not that he particularly needed looking after but it just seemed polite and was cheaper to stay with him than having his own place.

Once the meal was done the duo of shinobi made their way underground as they followed a Naegi deep down some stairs, filling the lanky man with a strange feeling inside as it was quite odd going so far down as a tall person. However any insecurities quickly left the lanky man realised just how spacious it was and wondered just how they could even dig so far down and wide into the desert ground without it all collapsing inward.

As they arrived everything suddenly became that bit more intriguing as the Naegi explained what was happening and pointed out all the seals to Nori, though he didn't quite fully understand but he did give it his all in trying to learn as much as possible from what was said.
With all that out of the way a plant was finally brought in, apparently a very difficult to raise plant that no doubt became even more difficult in the desert, with which it seemed the sealing was about to begin.
"Very well then" Nori replied sternly to his friend as he was told to be prepared just in case and with that his instinct was to immediately lay his hand on the handle of his sword so that he may draw it at any given notice.

[Zao]

With his darker dressed friend on board the man, Zao slowly proceeded through the fuuin diagram that had been transcribed upon the ground and stone that lay throughout the area arranged in a very intricate manner. It was almost obvious that several Doton users had been needed to create such a space within the depths of Suna's sandy earth, no doubt the Kazekage had to be notified in some manner by the clan as such an operation would have surely triggered one of the formations that protect the village and in turn alerting him. Though Zao was not privy to such knowledge of interactions between the clan and the Kage, but he was not ignorant to the fact either. His sharp, bright blue gaze scanned every inch of the fuuin formula as he passed by it not missing a single squiggle of the ink upon the surface now as every step drew him closer and closer to the rare golden throne vine that was positioned at the center of the formation now. It took only a short amount of time for him to navigate the fuuin and end up near the plant where he went to place the jade green container down upon the ground within the same circle as the plant was.

"Hmm...can the plant sense the danger of the spirit?" As the white haired man was placing the vase down gently the plant moved back, almost like it was hunkering down now as though it could feel the sinister spirit that was trapped within the pot. Animals seemed to have a sense for danger and the man could only assume after seeing this that the plant that had some basic level of intelligence was able to do the same it seemed. Without thinking the man turned to the plant and took a step before the plant itself lashed out with its thorny vine causing the man to pull back his arm closest to the plant but despite how quick he was the man wasn't expecting it to actually attack him. Wither it had been out of fear or some other basic survival emotion the man couldn't be sure as his eyes dropped down onto his forearm where a series of deep gashes covering the area about the size of his hand could be seen. The man's normally smiling face winced with a bit of pain in its features as he turned and began to walk away moving his hands to form into a series of hand seals now as the blood began to drip from the wound down his arm staining the bright white sleeve of his kimono robe.

Sighing to himself at being so careless Jikukan chakra flowed into the right hand before that hand was placed over the wounded left forearm now, 'I need to be a bit more careful, luckily it was such a young one or its strength and speed would have been even greater.' Shaking his head lightly the hand that had been pressed onto the bloody arm was removed after a few moment as the wound itself was completely gone, even the blood that had been soaking into the white silk fabric had disappeared. Time had been erased, a very powerful effect that could be achieved through the mastery of Space-time but it was something that couldn't be used on a massive scale like the other types of Jikukan but its power was no less as great. Letting his arms fall back to their normal positions as he moved a few meters away from the plant and captured spirit to a pair of large open circles within the formation itself, these were meant for Zao and the elder Naegi to use. Zao was here because of the aid he had been able to provide the clan and to ensure that the spirit remained suppressed during the ritual while the elder would be able to use the clan's ancient technique that him and the white haired young man had extracted from old scripts to revive into its current form using both of their knowledge in the art of sealing.

With everything prepared he once more looked toward the dark dressed friend that he had brought, giving a firm nod of his head as a pair of Naegi moved to his position now asking the Jounin to step back a few meters as they were about to start. Seeing that his partner in this was ready to make a move at a moments notice helped for the young scholar to relax as the elder finally made his appearance as several of the clansmen immediately stopped what every they had been doing to pay their respects to the master of the household. Zao himself smiled and offered a salute of respect which after arriving at his circle beside Zao he simply nodded, he truly didn't care for such things at this moment with what they were about to do and simply wanted to get started. "It has all let to this my young friend, let us simply begin. I'm truly to old to be kept waiting." The long grey haired man rolled up the long sleeves of his robe and took a seat in a lotus style position as Zao mimicked him taking a seat within his own circle. The outer circles were also quickly filled now as they begin to form hand seals exerting their chakra into the seal itself causing the fuuin diagram to glow an eerie blue hue as the chakra then began to float up from the fuuin.

"Yes, I want to see if we succeed or fail this time." A determined look appeared on the young man's face as he turned slightly in his lotus position and formed a series of hand seals after which he separated his hands causing a maroon chain of chakra to spring forth from between the hands and race forward at jounin level speeds towards the jar. Forming a single hand seal with the left hand the man whispered quietly to himself, "Kai!" and with that single word the seals atop the jar illuminate and caused the lid to levitate up and off the jar as the maroon chain was like a snake striking down into the jar itself before becoming taut. One could physically see Zao grit his teeth before pulling the right hand back towards him causing the chain to retract now as the shadow beast was pulled from the depths of the sealing pot and back out into the open, despite its severely weakened state the create still fought back against the chain binding its as its sinister aura spread out through the cave like an invisible pressure that affected some of the younger shinobi that were present.

When the user or a comrade have been recently injured in which the wound is no larger than the size of their hand the user can perform a series of hand seals, then focus on the event placing their hand over the wound. So long as the injury occurred in the past 2 posts, the user can Erase time on that portion of the affected target’s body, removing the past 2 posts from ever happening, removing the wound.

Nori stood back cautiously as he watched his new friend check out all the fuuin and then the strange and monstrous looking plant, which actually appeared to hurt the poor man but the damage appeared to be undone with some space-time jutsu; it was quite a thing to see for the wound hand't just been simply healed but became completely vanished and undone by time itself along with all the blood it also had created.

Once everyone seemed pleased and ready to begin the Special Jounin jumped back as instructed, though his right hand remained resting atop Kamiokuri's handle as he looked on sternly only to be moved briefly when a highly renowned Naegi elder entered the room.
As the elder moved forward and greeted the room, the darkly dressed male copied his lightly clothed friend in greeting the man with a powerful bow but once he was done he hastily got back in his lightly defensive stance.

Nori continued to watch in awe and intrigue as the ritual began with all the usual maroon coloured chains that dragged the vile beast from its temporary home, which in turn filled him with a bit of dread over any possibilities that it may escape tightening his grip on his sword as his muscles twitched ready to pounce at any given notice.

Of all those present their were many who instinctively took a step back as the murderous rage that spread out from the beast's aura quickly filled the large, underground cavern now even causing a few chuunin to be over come and pass out. Though Zao was oblivious to what was going on around himself as the set of bright blue eyes remained completely focused upon the shackled creature that struggled against the maroon colored chakra that which currently bound it tightly. Seeing that the white haired youth had the ravenous spirit under control for the moment the elder wasted no more time and formed a hand seal now as entire fuuin formation lit up and tiny threads of chakra started to float up from various positions around the seal and with a second set of hand seals the thread shot off in two separate directions. Half attaching themselves to the golden thorn vine which actively fought back to resist but wasn't quite strong enough as the threads of chakra first bound the creature then seemed to imbed their ends into the creatures body. Meanwhile the other half actually did the same to the already bound shadow spirit which howled in anger and pain but their truly wasn't anything that the severely injured and exhausted creature could do other then struggle to fight back.

'The struggle is futile in this case, this is truly the end for you my dangerous friend. But your end will bring about a new beginning for the Naegi clan here. Be proud of that.' Through his tenku chain the man transmitted his words to the beast who had all but given up its struggles and resistance after less than a minutes worth of trying to free itself and slowly began to become numb. Next the elder commanded the surrounding shinobi within the fuuin to begin with the second step, "Begin the next step." Things were going much smoother than the previous attempt at this in which the spirit had actually been killed during the process and the time before that the plant wasn't strong enough to receive the spirit and exploded resulting in both entities ceasing to exist. But both men had learned much from the previous two failures and had much higher hopes for the end results of this fusion between plant and spirit. Zao now maneuvered the chained beast directly next to the golden plant that was beginning to radiate a brilliant light as chakra was being infused into its body which rapidly strengthen it which would allow for it to then absorb the spirit in its totality resulting in the birth of a new creature all together.

As the other shinobi formed hand seals the fuuin seemed to almost mutate on its own as now dark red chakra threads rose from the formation diagram and enveloped the spirit completely until it appeared as though the shadowy beast was encased in some type of cocoon. Next the same chakra threads did the same with the golden thorn vine before it two was enveloped now and the two cocoons began to merge into one larger crimson sphere. It was at this time that the sweating Zao pulled back his hand and the chakra chain shattered into hundreds of pieces before simply disappearing into thin air but he didn't take a break as both hands came back together in a dragon seal allowing him to help take control of half the formation. Between the elder and himself the formation was now operating at one hundred percent capacity as a pulsing sound that was similar to that of a heart beat could be heard emanating from the dark red sphere which had already started to shrink slowly. The sound began to grow fainter as the orb continued to decrease in size over the course of about five minutes as everyone continued to operate and sustain the large amount of chakra needed to power the fuuin formation.

Around the five minute mark was when the cocoon of chakra threads finally stopped shrinking as its size ended up being only about a meter across now, as it finally stopped changing size both the Elder and Zao then formed another hand seal at the same time with almost perfect unity between them causing the orb that was floating about two to three meters in the air to slowly decent back down to the ground. Like it had been a fragile egg, as soon as the sphere touched the ground numerous cracks began to form across its surface as pieces of the 'shell' started to fall off and disappear before hitting the ground. What was revealed appeared to be the same golden thorn vine as before as the technique had fused the spirit into the very being of the plant now changing it on a physical level. But the only difference was that it had grown to about five meters in length and only had its girth increased slightly from before. "Bind it!" Without a moments hesitation the elder immediately called out for the Naegi standing by outside the fuuin to sprang into actions as they had already planted some seeds in the ground before hand allowing for them to active a vine-like plant, of which four had been planted, these bright green vines grew rapidly to bind the golden plant. "I think we've finally done it." Zao and the elder were just standing up, preparing to walk over an examine the creature that they had created now as it seemed to be safely bound in the four thick green vines. He turned to Nori, motioning for him to come up to. "My friend, come see."

Just as he had his back turned to the creature and the elder was advancing without him with the guard of two other shinobi who moved to his sides, the creature seemed to sudden awaken from its currently condition and become aware of everything that was happening around it despite not having any visible sensory organs. With a power twisting motion of its body the plant began to spin ripping the four vines from the ground with ease before its powerful thorns shredded the remaining vines still attached to its body. One guard drew a sword seeking to strike out at the creature only to land a solid blow against its body that barely left a mark before the creature snapped its body like a whip striking the man in the chest landing a devastating blow that actually broke bone and sent the man flying several meters away. Up until this point no one knew just how much strong the plant would become once fused with the spirit but it rapidly becoming obviously that it was stronger then anyone had anticipated. They needed to rapidly bind it down before it had a chance to injure someone or escape! Those who had helped out with the fuuin quickly scattered leaving the elder and his other guard along with Zao and Nori. Other Naegi would soon be arriving and they just needed to tie the plant down for short time, at least that was what they though was the best course of action.

Nori stood back and watched everything unfold from afar, though only enough so that he was not in the way of the sealing ritual. He remained stern and ready throughout the entire thing as a small amount of anxiousness welled up within over what might occur, his eyes locked tight on the thrashing demon of a spirit so that he could see its movements clear as day.

As the sealing process furthered along the Special Jounin couldn't help but become full with awe as he witnessed all the threads and such pierce the plant and spirit before wrapping them in what could only be described as cocoons. It all looked so brilliant and fascinating to the tall, lanky man who started to wonder if he should really start to learn more about these types of things even if he didn't intend to wield such power himself.

Once the spirit and plant began to merge as one with Zao's chain completely gone by this point, that was when the anxiety within really started to rile Nori up, making him feel the most worry of all given there was no way to really see what was happening or tell what was happening but he fought through the intense pressure unlike certain nearby chuunin and stood to witness the birth of a new kind of being.

However that birth did not go as well as everyone hoped even though the young, white haired man invited his friend to look upon what was created with such glee; the strange new creature suddenly lashed out and broke free of all restraints, even knocking away one shinobi that did try and attack it with great force.
With a grimace spread across his face and an annoyed snarl, Norio's grip on his sword handle became completely tight shut and chakra began to clearly flow into the blade as he hastily pulled it out of its sheath.

The black clothed male was still willing to give this crazed beast a chance despite doubting if such a vile demon could be tamed in such a way all this time, as such he moved in to attack in such a manner that would hopefully keep it in tact and alive.
With a quick dash forward Nori leapt past his friend and the elder as he swung down on the raging vine with full force, aiming to slam it down into the ground and incapacitate it as a powerful pulse of of kuuton chakra rushed out of the blade as it swung down at the vile beast.

Zao had truly been caught off guard, believing that the creature would be strong he wasn't aware or had hypothesized that the creation would be at this level of strength to break free from a jounin level binding technique with such ease. Luckily for the white haired man as he leaped back his comrade was still on top of his game now as the black blur moved past him at the same time. With a swing of his sword Zao had already started to move his hands into a blur of hand seals that were the same series of hand seals that had been used earlier to restraint he injured spirit. 'Kuuton?' The scholar raised his left eyebrow in interest to his partner's techniques, a bit surprised to see that someone as young as Nori had already mastered Kuuton ninjutsu. A pleasant surprise that he might speak about with the black clad youth but that would have to wait as the pressure forced itself down upon the golden vine who took the attack head on without even flinching, the technique only seemed to slow its movements giving others a chance to retreat or surround the beast.

'Nice work! Grasp of Authority!' A powerful looking crimson/maroon chain of pure chakra shot out from the right palm that had extended in the direction creature who had been slowed down by the attack from the black clothed man. The chain rapidly moved like a snake circling the slender plants body before being pulled taught seeming to finally restrain the creature again much like the binds of earlier. But the look upon the white haired man's face was anything but calm or contempt with the creature as he felt the true strength of the plant creature now first hand. Flipping his palm upwards the slender finger quickly grasped hold of the chain and attempted to pull it towards himself but instead he was being pulled towards the creature itself now which had begun to spin and entangle itself more and more in the chain which dragged the chain's creature towards it now. This creature was to strong to be bound by this level of strength it seemed, though binding was not the man's strong suit either as he was forced to release the technique before he was pulled into striking range of the strange plant.

"Retreat and regroup Nori!" As the creature burst free from the chakra chain which it had wound itself up in momentarily Zao called out to his friend now, they needed to move out of striking range for its physical strength was enough to injure even an experienced taijutsu user. The best strategy in such a scenario would be to surround and bombard the target with ninjutsu from far to mid range in order to avoid unnecessary casualties. Though his call came to late for the other guard of the Elder who had moved between the elder using a polearm style weapon to fend off a series of two strikes that he was able to sustain but it was obvious that he wasn't a match for the creature's strength or speed. But these events served to help further Zao's knowledge of the beast's potential strength. Within a few seconds from breaking free the creature landed a solid blow that broke the man's left arm and knocked him back. The time created through Nori, Zao, and the two men's attack had been enough to allow for a quick response force of the Naegi to start arriving as they were flowing in through the entrance of the large room.

It was as if the creature could sense that it was starting to become out numbered or that some form of danger was growing around it as it rose up into the air in an almost straight line before slamming itself down into the hard earth with such force that the entire cavern shook and the hardened floor within a ten meter radius was completely shattered. With the hard layer disrupted the creature 'dove' into the earth beginning to dig into the softer earth as it rapidly disappeared beneath the dig. 'Shit!' The plant was able to travel underneath the earth, who would have thought that! Forming a single hand seal the white haired former shinobi instantly spread out his mind's eye to its maximum distance possible as he could tell the direction of travel of their golden body friend, quickly digging towards the east. At least it wasn't heading into the center of the village and instead was headed toward the outskirts of the hidden Sand. Blue eyes snapped to his left side in the direction of Nori, "Nori! We've got to hurry, its heading toward the east side of the village!" With a large amount of faith in his partner's strength and intelligence he called out to him before immediately turning towards the stairs now moving at full speed.

They needed to get out the underground area and back topside and attempt to locate the creature before it was able to cause any additional injuries to any of the villagers or damage to the village itself. Shaking his head as he moved through the group of people who had just arrived creating a path for him and Nori to exit the elder would give the order for the remaining Naegi to also follow the duo of white and black clothed shinobi as they raced up the stairs. Only a few moments later the pair would burst out the last door finding themselves bathed in the blinding bright sunlight that awaited them outside causing for even Zao to briefly stop to reorient himself to the direction of east. The right arm coming up over his eyes to shade them now as he breathed rapidly...their truly wasn't any time to waste!

After performing a set of hand seals, the user focuses chakra towards their hand. A chain made of Maroon chakra will shoot from their palm towards the target at 25 speed, up to 30 meters away. If it hits a spirit, a jinchuuriki, Tsukimogami, or other such being, the chain will wrap around them, placing their arms, if they have any, to their side, stopping them from performing hand seals. These chains cling to the chakra of the Spirit itself, and are unable to be broken through physical means. If the target has a related Mastery stat or a Spirit has a strength stat higher than 25, they are able to break the binding. If the chains are able to stay on their target for a full 5 posts, they will drain away, this will cause a drop in available forms by 3 for up to 5 posts.

B-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: *[Sensory Style • Beyond Senses], Ninjutsu/Control/Instinct stats of 20
This jutsu is an extension of [Beyond Senses]. With this jutsu initiated, a sensor can focus on individual chakra signatures to get a precise idea of where their opponents are at up to 25 meters. A general sense of the direction and number of chakra sources can be determined at about 50 meters. It should be noted that this jutsu requires intense concentration, often making the user shut their eyes so they can focus on the jutsu solely. Even with high levels of Chakra Control and Instinct, this jutsu can be mentally taxing as it requires the user to sort through the individual chakra sources in the sensor’s range.

Nori struck down upon the strange creature but it barely even budged under the weight from the pressure of kuuton that pushed down upon it never mind buckling, as such the man's stern face turned a little grim and full of dismay as he backed off a little from the plant.
As the black clothed man backed off he noticed the familiar maroon chains come forth and from his white clothed companion in attempt to bind the beast once more, though the vile thing only seemed to struggle beyond the chain's capabilities and even began to drag said friend towards it as the chains tangled up.

Seeing this mess the Special Jounin shifted around the crazed beast a bit before dashing in for another strike; slamming into the thorny plant just like before as a pulse of kuuton burst into it.
However it was ineffective and Zao's chain shattered as the man called for reatreat and so Nori did as suggested but with a disgruntled look upon his face.
"Tch" the lanky man tutted with disdain as backed away from the strange, raging plant.

Mere moments after backing off the demonic being blasted back yet another Naegi guard before slamming into the ground, causing a major earthquake sensation to reverberate throughout the cavern which really began to feel like it would collapse like the sandy haired man had originally feared.
Luckily only the ground shattered for now but equally unlucky for them was that it meant the strange plant could escape and thus it began to burrow into the sands below and plough its way east.

Nori's eyes began to glow aflame with rage as everyone let the vile, heretic, demonic beast escape and widen its scope to the village but alas he closed his eyes for a moment as he took in Zao's hastily said words; the rage calmed and became more of a burning will within, his face turning solemn but stern as he dispersed the Kuuton chakra around his blade and re-sheathed it.
"I will not hesitate to do my utmost to destroy this thing from this point forward" the man then spoke in a low and harsh tone before following up the steps and toward where the beast was headed.
