Kage test: Round Final!

The council, led by Abe, would make their way through the streets of Sunagakure, attracting much notice as they did so. It wasn't often that the people of Suna got to see the council in the streets, let alone all at once. To see them leading a shinobi was a sight to behold, and before long a crowd was following them. However, another shinobi that was accompanying the group at the behest of Abe forced everyone to keep their distance, and when they arrived at the coliseum-style building that would serve as the testing ground for this final test, the shinobi would stay at the entrance to the place to prevent any entry.

This was a private affair, and would remain that way.

Once they were within the confines of the arena, They would find that the inner arena itself was about 60 meters in diameter, with the seats extending out an additional 15 meters to encompass the full size of the building's 75 meter diameter. The councilmembers split off from Abe and Sueatsu as they entered the building, moving up through the underside of the arena to take their seats in the stands. Abe on the other hand would enter through the same door as Sueatsu before moving to the opposite side of the arena, hopping up on the side of the wall and removing a scroll from his hip.

"Alright Sueatsu, here's how we're going to do this. I have four puppets. Each were built when I was a genin and have been improved upon over the last 20 years. They're nothing to trifle with... And you're going to fight each of them, one at a time. If you manage to destroy all four of them, or render them unusable at least, You will pass my test. If you find that you are unable to continue after defeating one of them, or if you are bested by one of them, we're done here. Do not hold back against them, fight as if your life depends on it... otherwise it very well might."

He then took the scroll and whipped it out, unraveling the entirety of it to reveal that it was incredibly long, about 6-7 meters to be precise. The inside was one large storage fuuin, and by placing his hand on one end, the entire fuuin lit up before emitting a poof of smoke. As the smoke cleared, an odd looking puppet stood before Sueatsu, on the other end of the 50 meters of space between them.

The puppet had one head, but that head had what appeared to be three different faces; a front face and a face where either side of it's head should be. One side face appeared happy, the other angry, and the middle face neutral. Where normally two arms would be, six arms existed instead, going down it's humanoid body as far down as the lower ribcage. It was constructed entirely of wood from the looks of it, but who knew what secrets this puppet contained?

Abe rolled the scroll back up and slipped it away before allowing chakra to flow through his body and out through his fingertips, forming the infamous Kugutsu threads. They slithered down to make a connection with his puppet, which suddenly sprang to life, waving its arms around in an almost mystical fashion and rotating it's head 360 degrees multiple times. As it stood straight up, it was clearly at least 9 feet tall, maybe more. "I call it 'Bishamon'. I'll give you a moment to prepare, but don't dally..."

Sueatsu had seen puppets before but nothing like this one. It gave an aura about it that was unsettling. However, if Sueatsu was going to give time to plan, he was going to make the most of it. With a deep breath inwards, he exhaled outwards what almost seemed like steam with how visible it was. The very air he would breath out would solidify and embrace his body. He would stretch his body out somewhat as he was taking in the parts that he could see of it. He wasn't sure what it was capable of on the inside... but he had a feeling it was an upfront fighter.

With a burst of ferocity, Sueatsu would launch straight towards the towering behemoth of a puppet. If there was no holding back, it was obvious from the start that Sueatsu didn't know how to even do such a thing against something that wasn't a human. Within a matter of moments, he'd be right up to the puppet's body and he aimed a kick towards the leg attempting to shatter its joint in the leg. Whether or not it hit, Sueatsu would quickly crouch down and the air around him would shift and shimmer.

His muscle would bunch up as he launched a ferocious uppercut into the air, attempting to strike the puppet's lower body with it. What would follow up soon after was a swirling torrent of air that leaped forth from where he had struck. It would fly forwards, swirling, shifting air that was gathering sand as it moved forward. If it would strike the puppet, several deep gouges would likely begin to appear on the wooden exterior of the puppet. Whether or not these would all hit, Sueatsu would back up and immediately get into a defensive stance, waiting for something to strike out towards him.

Protective Embrace of the Goddess Shizuru
S-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 45 Taijutsu, 40 Strength
A technique that Sueatsu has developed himself, he has learned a way to turn the very air he breathes into a means of defense. Drawing in a deep breath, he will begin to exhale outwards a visible air. What he breathes out will begin to coalesce and circle around him in a transparent set of amrour. The design is very simple except for what appears to be two arms embracing him over his shoulders, but the function of the armour is truly what makes it marvelous. This armour can withstand hits up to 4/5th of the user's strength before it breaks and it allows free range of motion. This allows Sueatsu to have an emergency set of armour, just in case the opponent he is up against is too much for whatever material he decides to bring originally.

Snap Kick
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will lunge forward and deliver a brutal kick to the knee of the opponent. Should the kick connect the opponent will receive a -3 to their speed. If the user has more than 5 strength than the opponent, this kick can result in a completely shattered knee.

Tornado Uppercut
A-Rank Taijutsu
Prerequisite: Heavenly Body Control, 35 Strength
A highly vicious technique, the user has become capable of harnassing their strength for a feat that is truly marvelous. Ducking down quickly, the user with perform an uppercut. This uppercut is performed at such a level of strength that the air around it will begin to swirl before flying forward. It will travel about 40 meters before it will disperse. Whatever it comes in contact will be shredded by the razor sharp winds for 3/4th the user's strength.

Sueatsu would find that, just as he gave no quarter to the puppet, Abe would give no quarter to Sueatsu. He was a renowned bannin, and while Abe was only a jounin, his skills in puppetry were among the greatest in the village. And this particular puppet, Bishamon, was one of his favorites. As Sueatsu charged in towards the puppet, The puppet did not move from where it stood at first, though it's head did rotate to the Angry face. Sueatsu would find that his kick rang home, and the puppets leg was indeed shattered in an instant. However, before he had the chance to launch any other form of attack, the angry face would spew forth a large blast of concussive wind strong enough to give even a bannin pause. At the very least, it would buy the puppet enough time to move out of the way of the ensuing uppercut.

After this wind blast, Abe would command the puppet to dash across the arena towards the other side, it's top hands forming a series of hand seals as it did so. Once it stopped, it would place it's palms towards the ground, and release a large burst of electric chakra into the earth at it's feet. This chakra would spread out to a 30 meter area with impressive speed, causing the earth to crackle with energy to indicate that the area was, in fact, very dangerous. To step in that zone would no doubt cause Sueatsu pain.

Finally, the puppet's two bottom arms would then click for a moment before detaching from the puppet entirely, breaking off to reveal two blades that extended off from the 'stump' of each floating limb. With a wiggle of his fingers, Abe would send these two semi autonomous flying towards Sueatsu from opposite sides, one from his right and one from his left, and each with incredible speed. Their purpose was merely to keep Sueatsu on his toes and keep his attention focused on something other than the puppet, while the puppet prepared to capture Sueatsu.

Sueatsu would let out a grunt as he was forced back, skidding a bit across the ground but remaining on his feet as he brought his eyes up to meet the puppets. There was this true ferocity in them, like something Abe might never have seen before. With a quick leap backwards, Sueatsu would do his best to avoid the crackling energy the was escaping from the puppet's body and he would land roughly 35 meters from the puppet... but he would seem almost unfazed by the attack that hit him... even though it did not feel good to be hit at all.

He watched as those blades would come towards him and he would patiently start going through some hand seals. Whether or not Abe knew it, Sueatsu was done playing around... and if this puppet wanted to capture him, he was going to have a highly difficult time. As the blades were nearing him, he would finish his hand seals and another one of himself would appear right next to him. Both would reach out and grasp the limbs that were flying towards them before throwing them back with a grunt through gritted teeth. Both were aimed at the puppet and with that, both Sueatsu's would disperse from each other as one would be coming in from below while the other had leaped up high.

The one that remained on the ground was going to leap up at the last moment before it reached the area of chakra and would dive at the puppet. Without even skipping a beat, the Sueatsu from above would attempt to launch a devastating knee at the head of the puppet to force it back while one from below was seemingly attempting to do the same but with a sort of tackle. Whether the succeeded or not, they would both leap from the puppet and put themselves between Abe and the puppet, awaiting the next movement with a very neutral but guarded stance.

*[Ninjutsu • Advanced Shadow Clone Technique]
A-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user proceeds to create a number of clones of themselves (maximum is equal to 1/3rd the user's stamina). Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies of the user in both appearance and substance. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. Given that the clones are an exact replica of the user, they share the same stats except for stamina, which is determined by the number of clones presently in effect. The advantage of this form of the technique is that once dispersed, the chakra distributed to the clones returns to the user, allowing any un-used chakra to be regained, slowing the draining usage of this technique. The chakra returns to the user at a different rate depending on the user's control.

A essential technique, the user starts with their feet squared apart and their arms up in a guarding position. When the opponent strikes, whether high or low, the user will use the same side arm as the opponents incoming limb to parry the attack mid-limb. Then, by twisting off the ball of their foot in a counter-clockwise motion, the user can create considerable force and knock back the opponents limb, creating a window for the user to execute a strike or flip.

Abe grinned as he noticed the Bannin launched the blades back towards him. The puppet gave a whirl as it's wooden frame cackled before catching its arms back in the sockets. At this time Sueatsu had already given a mighty sprint towards the puppet. In a flash the Bannin and his clone were upon the puppet. As to which Abe already knew which one was the clone because Sueatsu would've had to been a damn fool to tackle the puppet directly. The puppet's ribcage opened up with such speed as to allow the tackling Bannin's inertia to cause him to fall right in. The puppet's cage closed quickly just before the Bannin's kick connected. The ferocity of the kick was alone enough to crack the puppet's neutral face.

The puppet's head performed a 360 spin once again as it began to compress it's ribcage with a strength comparable to the Bannin's own. Abe was pretty affirm in his own accord that it was the clone, but had his finger quick ready to pull away if it turned out to be the actual Bannin. As the puppet skidded to a halt its head began to spin ferociously spewing shuriken and senbon out towards Sueatsu at neck breaking speeds. It covered a large field about 20² meters across at the end of the cone being spewed with a range of 80 meters.

Sueatsu was struggling inside of the puppet as the one outside was dashing around the puppet, following the way it was spinning its head. Within, Abe would start to hear something. Audible thuds. Like flesh slamming into wood at a speed that began to sound like a drum being beaten rapidly. Within the body, Sueatsu had taken a stance and was just laying into the inner makings of the puppet around him. The punches were random in their location but they were all at his full strength. There was this disciplined fury in Sueatsu's eyes both inside the puppet and outside of it.

It seemed maybe Abe had underestimated the Bannin a small bit since he was dodging quite a lot of the senbon and shuriken that were being shot at him. Whether it was the clone or not was hard to tell but he was pretty adept at each single movement he was making. While he was rushing along, he would grab several Kunai from his pouch and fling them at Abe. He wasn't above trying to disable the puppet master and this would hopefully provide a distraction. When he would do that, he'd rush in with his arms raised up and attempt to launch himself forward with knee outstretched.

Attempting to slam his knee into the puppet to stun it for a moment, he would attempt to the land the first of a series of uppercuts to the puppet's knees, attempting to buckle them and make them useless. The ferocious roar that erupted from Sueatsu had this quality to it. One that showed genuine ferocity that his normal, almost too jovial self was not accustom to showing. Most opponents might be frightened but he was fighting a puppet... and puppets were forced to be broken and broken over and over again.

B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will begin by launching themselves forward into the air, towards their opponent with their knee outstretched to catch them with it. If the knee is to land, it is likely to put the opponent in a stunned state at the sheer force of the impact. The user will then follow up right afterwards with an uppercut that sends the opponent flying into the air before chasing after them to land another uppercut into the opponent to send them soaring away and landing onto the dirt.

Abe would watched as the Sueatsu inside of the puppet began racking with several punches shaking the whole puppet. Each punch reverberated throughout the arena as the other Sueatsu danced around the shuriken and senbon gracefully, well as much as a grown man could dance around it. Abe gritted his teeth as he reached around with his free hand over the scroll he laid out unsealing another puppet. If Sueatsu wanted to disable him, Abe was gonna raise the stakes, and make sure Sueatsu had a real challenge. Kazekage would come hell and high water at this rate. The puppet Abe unsealed next was in the form of a worm with a large opening at the head as if a mouth with sharp teeth that gritted the opening. It kackled as it squirmed its way down to the arena floor in the time Sueatsu was dodging.

However Sueatsu wasn't just dodging as the flurry of kunai was thrown at Abe. Who skillfully had a few skills up his sleeve to keep an eye on a battle with multiple opponents. After all what was a puppeteer who couldn't control all his puppets and sync them together. The puppet he was using's name was Shizuko, while the worm puppet he had just summoned's name was Kagarashi. Abe quickly darted dodging the kunai as they ripped through the stone pillar he had just been standing on with ease, the strength and force they were thrown with were impeccable, but the distance had allowed Abe enough reaction time. Abe had a grin form across his face as Kagarashi squirmed behind Sueatsu with such stealth it hardly made a noise, and the speed it moved was faster than the Bannin himself.

Kagarashi followed just as Sueatsu's knee slammed into the puppet as its teeth lurched forward, shooting off with impressive speed as ninja wire trailed behind it. The puppet's teeth wrapped around the puppet and Sueatsu attempting to bind him to the puppet. If the puppet fount itself successful it would then extend a miniature flame thrower that would exhale flames capable of causing 2nd degree burns. The flames would follow the ninja wire and then engulf the other puppet, Shizuko.

Kagarashi (Worm Puppet)Show

Kagarashi is a 2 meter long puppet, that is 0.5 meters in diameter. It moves with a speed of 50, and its teeth shoot out at a speed of 45. The flame thrower is capable of causing 2nd degree burns, but moves with a mere 20 speed along the wire. However its deathily silent, and can only be detected with an instinct stat higher than it's deftness stat which is 30.

Shizuko (Multi-armed, Theatre Faced Puppet)Show

Shizuko is frozen struggling against the Sueatsu's punches inside as it attempts to compress him. It eats the initial upper cut Sueatsu throws which cracks its face further causing the neutral face to lose a small portion of its bottom right.

With a yell of force, Sueatsu forced a single fist through the chest of the puppet he was stuck inside. Grasping at either side of the fist shape hole he made, he strained with a might that he had built a reputation for. The cracking and creaking of wood could be heard throughout the entire area as Sueatsu forced apart the chest of the puppet before leaping out of it. The moment that the teeth embedded itself in the puppet, he had managed to slip free from underneath it. The clone immediately vanished with the flames that engulfed its body, Sueatsu feel a small surge of chakra coming back to him.

Without even a second thought, he reached for the wires that were connected to both puppets now... and he began to pull on them hard. "You've tried my patience long enough..." He said with a clear difference in his voice. Normally calmed and disciplined, this was the voice of a methodical monster. One that was finally annoyed enough to no longer care about the pain that was running through his hands. With a tug that seemed to shift the air around him, he lifted Kagarashi off its feet and towards him, where he would quickly dash to the side and make sure that Abe was in his line as well.

Sueatsu placed both his palms together. Bunching up his muscles, he took in a deep breath. He could feel sweat coating his body, he was straining forcefully. There was this ripple of air around him as he was focusing and as the puppet was nearing his original position where he tugged it, he would release his body. With a whirl of his arms in a circular motion, rigidly stopping arm to arm in front of him, he would force this massive torrent of wind forward.

The puppet would likely find itself bombarded with these super heated winds as they were aimed through it and towards Abe. He was attempting to end this now, going to try to force Abe to either move himself away and thus be distracted or be pulled in by the winds and be battered and scalded.

Wrath of the Goddess Shizuru

Prerequisite: Heavenly Body Control, 40 Strength, 40 Taijutsu
Taking the principals of Tornado Upper, Sueatsu has developed it in a different manner. Placing his palms together horizontally, he will begin to focus before he releases them and whirls his arms around once in front of him before they rigidly stop forearm to forearm. This motion will bring forth the true strength of this technique, sending a mass of heated whirling air forward in a cone away from him. Anyone within 35 meters of this mass of air will be pulled towards it with 3/4th of the user's strength. Those that are struck by this technique are hit with 3rd degree burns on contact and sent spiraling away at a strength equal to 3/4th of the user's strength. This cone of air is 50 meters in length and 35 meters wide.

Abe heard the determination in Sueatsu's voice, but it wasn't yet at the point that was satisfactory to himself. If Sueatsu wanted to be the Kazekage, he needed to overcome more than just Abe's two puppets, and whatever strain they put him through. He needed to stand through whatever hell would approach, and be the gate keeper for Suna's safety. The man was seen as a gift to the entire village, and he needed to be worth his weight in gold and praise. For Sueatsu the praise came easy, it was the test of that praise that was hard. Abe watched as his first puppet shattered from Sueatsu's fist as he quickly released control while reaching backwards for his puppet storage scroll.

With a quick kai he had released his third puppet which took the form of roughly a human that's face was contorted with six eyeballs and no mouth. It stood seven feet tall, and had a tail that reached out at least ten feet. It had two arms and was bipedal. The puppet had a slim twig like body, however its arms were slightly larger than normal in cylindrical shape at least half a meter in diameter, and the head was an odd cylindrical shape that was at least half a meter in diameter as well., same for the legs. As this puppet emerged it quickly took its place in-front of Abe as it raised it's hands up before the hands literally swung down to reveal two hallow tubes that released a powerful Fuuton force fuuinjutsu.

This force fuuinjutsu covered the inside of the tubes which took up the first link of the puppet's arms. Abe called this puppet Jijonku. The puppet's force fuuinjutsu was strong enough to propel the puppets, and Sueatsu's wind bullets backwards. The conglomerate of puppets shot back at Sueatsu. Which slyly, Abe attached a chakra string to Kagarashi to disembed the teeth from Shizuko as he left the puppets to fly backwards in the air the teeth slowly rescinding back to their home which from the untrained eye would just seem as part of the natural mechanism when its function was done. Abe's new puppet, Jijonku, stood in-front of him as his hands clapped back up covering the tubes as they were channeled more chakra into them to fuel them once again.

"Impressive, you've taken down two of my puppets. However there's plenty more. I'm going to push you to your breaking point Sueatsu. I want to prove that you're not worthy of being Kazekage. If you truly are worth your weight for this village, prove it, and make me eat those words. For Sunagakure no Sato, I will be the gate keeper for a truly worthy Kazekage. Not some petulant child who thinks he can simply declare hes fit for the title." As he finished his triumphant words hoping to catch Sueatsu off guard, he triggered Kagarashi to shoot its teeth out once more aiming to wrap them around Sueatsu's legs binding him with a strength of 35, if anything to slow him down as Shizuko with now a hole through its chest opened its mouth launching a volley of kunai and senbon towards Sueatsu. Then the puppet standing between Abe and Sueatsu, Jijonku, lowered its head as a flap off the top opened revealing a pure ninpou cannon that focused chakra from Abe's own hand, and funneled it into the tube before launching itself at a speed of 40, that upon impact exploded with a strength of 30.

For a shinobi of Sueatsu's stature, build, stamina, and strength. The attack wouldn't kill the man, but it would put him on the brink if connected. However if the shinobi could survive this, and land a move on Abe. He'd be willing to contest and name Sueatsu worthy of being Kazekage in his eyes. Medics were on standby if they were needed to respond quickly, they were some of Suna's best and brightest, and certainly would waste no time reacting. Sueatsu wouldn't be allowed a chance to harm or be harmed, the medics would be able to patch any damage. So for Abe to hold back would to fail his task of not pushing Sueatsu to the brink, and prove himself worthy of Kazekage.

Prerequisite: Fuuton
When this fuuin is drawn and the correct hand seals are done. This turns this fuuinjutsu into a mighty powerful release of wind energy. This fuuinjutsu takes the entirety of the tube's space in the puppet's, Jijonku's, arms and is the only fuuin that is allowed in this first link. This jutsu releases a 35 str explosion of fuuton in the direction Jijonku's arms are pointing.

Sueatsu was staring down Abe as he watched what he was doing. He would pay attention to each puppet's movements as he was allowing all of this to happen. He wanted to let Abe know one thing. He'd move out of the way the air wave that was pushed in his direction, regardless if it was going to hit him. He'd notice the little things that were occurring and he listened to what Abe had to say... as he stood there. He let the legs wrap and pierce into his leg, he'd allow the kunai and senbon to be fired at him and he guard against a majority of them, taking his time to let what came next actually hit him.

The ninpou cannon definitely hurt. He let out a grunt of pain, coughing up blood in the dust cloud as he wiped it from his mouth before he cracked his knuckles audibly. He was hurting... hurting bad. This was the first of few shinobi who had injured him at this way... but he took a moment to let the dust settle and show he was still standing. He was staring Abe down with something that was... different. It was wild, crazy, and predatory as before the eye could blink, Sueatsu had used his hand with his pure strength to cut away the teeth that bound him before dashing towards Abe.

Whether Abe could see him or not was an entirely different matter but within a matter of seconds, he'd be right beside him. Without so much as a word so far, he'd grasp at Abe's head with both of his hands and force it downwards as he rose his knee up. The sickening connection could be heard throughout the arena. One that sounded like bone snapping and fluid draining in the wrong areas. With a quick follow up, Sueatsu would bring his elbow up and slam it down onto the back of Abe's head.

When Abe would land onto the ground, he'd reach down and pick him up by his shirt. He had very little strength left... but he was going to use it as he quickly pivoted and threw him back down onto his back with as much force as he could muster before he stood there and spoke. "Worthy... of Kazekage?" He said as he let the blood that was coating his body now, his own, just pool from the attacks he received. "I... didn't even want it at first... but Sunagakure needs it. I'm not some protector... I'm not someone who boasts he can be Kazekage... I'm what you need right now. Not some wall, not some shadowy force... A warrior, a guardian, a force that destroys." He says between increasingly shallow breathes as he takes a moment to swallow blood and spit before he speaks a few more words. "I'm a raging inferno, a crashing tidal wave, a turbulent sandstorm and I don't run... I fight head on..." He says as he decides to let his body go and just fall onto his back, breathing now to just keep himself awake.

Punishing Knee

Prerequisite: Clinch
During a clinch, the user with grasp at the back of the target's head firmly and drag them downwards. At the same time, the user will attempt to strike upwards with their knee and drive their knee right into the opponent's face.

Drop Elbow
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The user will raise their arm up before swiftly dropping their elbow on top of the opponents head. Normally, this is done during a clinch but can be down by simply jumping into the air a small amount to slam their elbow downwards.

Secondary Slam
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Normally used against an opponent on the ground, the user will reach towards the opponent and grasp them on their shoulder or preferably, whatever clothing they may have on them. The user will lift the opponent up while beginning to pivot, using their other hand on the opponent's side to throw their opponent back down onto the ground with serious force.

Abe grinned as the attacks all conglomerated on Sueatsu. It appeared to do its job, but the odd feeling crept up as his smile died with every grunt Sueatsu made. He took every blow and still had the strength to still stand, it was amazing, it was quite awe striking as he gritted through the pain of every attack. It took a lot out of the junior Bannin, but he had survived. Not only, but the brute strength summoned to shatter the puppet and the speed conjured up to catch Abe during his spaced out moment it was already decided in the next move as Sueatsu fractured the man's skull with the knee placed square on the side of his head. The medical nin were already on the move to their location, it clearly was allowed to go on too far, and they were far too slow to stop Sueatsu, but the damage was done. The two would live, but they'd have some nasty battle scars to talk about the next time they were awake.
