Hand in hand across the Sand

Tensions were high post Great War the world had being ripped apart and then stitched back together, the fire country gained significant land to the west and yet lost land close to home and almost risked losing the entire country to that opposing forces of Kirigakure. Lord Hokage had played a high risk, high reward strategy deploying most of his forces on the offence leaving very little defences. Luckily for The Land of Fire their neighbouring allies were an integral part of forcing the Shinobi of Kirigakure back on the retreat.
Once such man who was deployed whilst his homeland was being pillaged was Aizawa Yoru, Bannin of the leaf who led the acquisition of Dragon Country bringing in the vast land in line with Fire Country rule. One country that had excelled during the war was the land of Wind, dominating most the desert to the east and securing even more land mass. Aizawa had travelled through Aroma Country, what was his favourite holiday destination Oasis from Konoha and came to the border that led into the land of wind waiting at a rendezvous point.
Yoru wouldn’t be able to navigate his way through the vast desert and arrive at Sunagakure without a guide, it was possible if he flew and used his advanced perception techniques but was it truly worth the cost in chakra and he wasn’t sure what other dangers would stand in his path. It was much easier to wait for his guide to collect him.
The long red haired Bannin leaned nonchalantly on what seemed a none-descript outpost his green haori opened further than usual exposing his chest in hopes of cooling himself down. Summer was just on the horizon and the weather was getting warmer and warmer.
He peered out the road ahead of him, hoping that his chaperone wouldn’t be too far off.
