Old Kage, Dead Kage, Daughter Kage

It had been a stressful few days... Well, weeks really, for the family of the Kazekage. From the time she discovered she was sick and dying, Kiyori had set into motion the series of events that would lead to her successfully turning herself into a Daruma statue for the Henrin clan. Of course, this meant leaving behind a rather expansive family, but the stressful part was the waiting. It took weeks to complete the ritual to become a Daruma, weeks of fasting and focusing on her memories before Kiyori finally passed on. All the while, the family was simply waiting for the confirmation that the deed was done. And it had come only a few days ago. So, naturally, they were brought into the room with Kiyori's statue to give their last respects, and all had gone to do so.

All but Emi.

She was there for her family, there for her father, but she refused to see her mother's statue in the Henrin Compound. She had nothing to say or do, no respects to pay, no grief to experience. At least, that's what she told herself. But there she was, on a roof overlooking the Henrin Compound yet outside of it's borders, watching the building where the rest of her family were paying their final respects to the 12th Kazekage. Her arms crossed in front of her as she leaned on the roof's railing, she sighed and shook her head.

"By the Light... How long does it take to say goodbye?" The girl rolled her eyes and spit off the roof to the empty street below, shaking her head as she waited impatiently for her family to finish up.

Even though he had been Kazekage for a brief moment and interacted with Kiyori for even less time, Sueatsu knew who the woman was that he had fought. However, he wasn't going to interrupt a family's time for mourning. Even if he was curious to see what became of his successor. Stepping softly down onto a nearby rooftop, he peered over, seeing a figure watching the same action and he narrowed his eyes before taking a few quick steps and leaping over, landing next to them with a quiet thump. "I would say it is rude to watch a ceremony if you don't belong there... but I'm doing the same thing." His voice was calm and soft, as if he was whispering a secret but loud enough for someone else to hear. He was looking at the younger girl, before he simply took a kneeling position. "Unless, of course... you were a Henrin, watching from a distance, not down there with family."

There was a moment of silence for him as he hadn't even looked at her reaction or considered how he might have frightened her when he landed nearby, but there was something oddly familiar about this woman in this moment.
