[Graded]A unexpectedly complicated delivery

It was a new day Haruka recently was on her way to check for available missions thankfully things were peaceful like usual. As she jogged over to look at the missions available she saw a interesting one about delivering a package to Sunagakure. She had never been to Suna so it would be a interesting experience she hoped. She quickly read the mission details before accepting it and heading out. First she headed home to pack, she was going to need a change of clothes amongst other things. After packing everything she needed she would soon head out immediately.

Along her journey she would get to see more of fire country as well as enjoy seeing how the land scape changes from fire country to wind. Whenever she needed to stop for awhile she would make a point to find a inn or some town or village to stay in where she could perform her dances for everyone as well as even occasionally sing. Eventually though she would reach wind country at first she thought it was interesting seeing the desert but she soon grew bored of it. All she ever saw was sand which didn’t seem very interesting too look at.

The one nice thing was at least it seemed quite she wondered how far away she would be able to hear in this environment with seemingly no noise or things to interfere with her hearing. As she continued her journey she finally made it to the border town where she would alert Sunagakure that she’s here for a delivery. Thankfully it didn’t take long to get approval to enter Sunagakure so she would follow the escort until she was finally there. Once inside the hidden village she would soon start heading to the location she was supposed to deliver the package.

The noise was constant. Indra hadn't really gotten a full nights sleep in the few weeks he'd been the Soul Genma host. Usually quite the handsome young man, there were heavy bags under Indra's eyes that indicated how sleepless he had been. He wondered if the previous hosts had had this problem, there certainly hadn't been a warning to him about it. Most of the time, it was just like someone was whispering a few feet away from him. Wordless breaths murmuring and muttering just out of his hearing range. But occasionally one of his guardians would get slightly too close, or his parents would pass by his room, and the sounds of their souls was much loud. Mostly gibberish, random words thrown together betraying the chaotic nature of human thought, it was difficult to sleep at all with this happening constantly.

Perhaps it was the sleeplessness, perhaps it was frustration, but whatever the reason, it left Indra feeling quite troublesome today. So, when he saw a young woman wearing a Konoha headband, clearly out of place in Sunagakure, with a heavy bag on her back and a package under her arm, Indra would smirk, descending from the roof top he was on into an alley way. He'd move quickly, sliding through the back of shops and stalls in order to cut her off and then would casually step out into the street.

He'd done this a thousand times, in the busy streets of Sunagakure, crowds weaving through the spaces as quickly as possible to escape the heat it was almost too easy. He'd take a long stride, looking completely the opposite direction, and then throw the full weight of his body into the side of Haruka, toppling over her and sprawling out onto the ground. As he fell, he'd be very sure to grab her backpack and thrust an arm against the back of the package under her arm to hopefully dislodge both and make a bit of a mess in the middle of the street.

"Ah geez! I'm sorry! He'd say clamouring against the ground and shuffling to his feet. "My bad lady, didn't mean to do that!", he'd apologize quickly, trying to grab her attention and get in her face just to fluster her a little.

As she wandered around Sunagakure looking around it was certainly a lot more interesting then the desert. The way everything was designed and looked was a lot different from the way konoha and kumo designed there buildings. After how big of a let down the desert was she didn’t expect to find something so exciting. It was incredibly interesting observing the buildings and her surroundings such as the people. She felt like she could spend hours here looking around. But as she was distracted looking around some teenage genin rudely decided to ram into her knocking her to the ground.

Normally such a thing wouldn’t of effected her considering how much stronger she was but she must’ve been tired from her journey or something along those lines. She then watched as he purposefully knocked the package out of her arms and pretended to apologize. Normally she would get back at him but she barely managed to hold back her anger and said “sure…. You didn’t “ deciding to go with the passive aggressive approach. After that she would then turn her back on him to try and clean up her back pack, quickly shoving everything back inside it as soon as possible.

She really, really didn’t want to cause problems on her first visit to Sunagakure, it was that one very strong singular desire that prevented her from acting like she usually does. She hoped she could resolve this peacefully and she figured it was best to leave him alone for now and go about her business. Hopefully she could get out of here soon and get away from him she wondered if he was even close to as fast as her. Maybe she could find a nice inn and relax and recover after she gets away from the asshole. She hoped he wouldn’t cause to much trouble in broad daylight around multiple witnesses.

As they sprawled out on the ground, the crowd would naturally flow around them, people walking between the two of them and over the various contents that had spilled onto the ground. Indra would be quick in this moment, intentionally shoving some stuff with his foot in the opposite direction of the package she dropped. As she shuffled about to try and collect her belongings, he'd throw a quick backhand behind him sending the package tumbling through the crowd and under a cart off to the side of the road.

"Are you alright?", he'd ask her, grabbing some stuff of the ground and shoving it into her bag with a little too much force. All to just keep her flustered and confused. "I'm really sorry about that. I just haven't been sleeping well ever since....er, well, I just haven't been sleeping well. Did we get all your stuff. Gee, I'm really sorry.", he began patting her shoulders and back, in a faux attempt to dust he off.

"You're not from around here, huh? This is the busiest time of day. Lots of people out and about. Where are you tryin to get to? Maybe I can help you out to make up for it?", he said with a wide smile, was it really gonna be this easy?

As she quickly put stuff away she watched and groaned internally as he seemingly intentionally slip stuff away from her. Which she would quickly look away wondering what he’s after, she really wished he wasn’t a Suna ninja and instead some sort of missing ninja or other enemy at least then she would have a good reason to beat the shit out of him. But oh well, she just had to remind herself constantly that she needs to try her best to make a good impression. She then notices him sit next to the package and then continue to mess with her stuff.


When suddenly she looks away for a split second and when she looks back the package is gone! Thankfully by now all her stuff is back in her backpack. She securely fastened and seals it so that the stuff wouldn’t fall all over if knocked down again. She would then quickly sling it over her back and make sure to hold on to it tightly with both loops through her arms to make it more secure. She would then glare at the man who was near where the package was. Then say angrily “what did you do with my package? Is this some sort of act? Is the whole not sleeping part just a ploy to try and make me feel sorry for you?”

She wondered what was his problem? Did he do this to everyone or was she just unlucky, it was hard to decide how to deal with him. Though it was times like this she wished she had enhanced scent like the inuzuka, or 340 degree vision amongst other things like the hyuuga. Maybe then she could have watched him mess with her package or tracked the package by scent back to its new location. She highly doubted someone just came by and kicked it causing it to move along the ground.

Indra would look at the small woman incredulously, playing offended that she'd accuse him of something, "Your package?" What do you mean?, he'd look down at the ground, lifting both feet and then looking at the ground around the both of them, "I didn't see a package. Are you sure you didn't put it in your bag or something?", he said scratching the back of his head. Suggesting he wasn't sleeping well was a bit of a laugh to him, if only she had known what he had been through...

He'd take a few steps back, seemingly looking around at the ground again and acting like he was looking for her alleged package, "Geez I'm really sorry, this isn't no act lady. I was just in my own head space, I didn't mean to bump into ya, I didn't even see you! I don't know what package you're talking about.", he said, now putting his hands up in the air innocently, trying to play it off as best he could. She seemed a bit too angry, he couldn't help but wonder what the package was for, and what was in it. Maybe she would tell him, "What did it look like? Maybe I can help you find it. Its busy out here, geez I hope it just tumbled far and no one nabbed it or anything...", he would turn his back to her, slowly moving through the crowd and pretending to look at the ground to try and find the package, though he knew exactly where it was at.

All he needed was a brief moment where she wasn't paying attention, he'd slip away into the busy street and snag the package from under the stall. If she wasn't from around here, she'd have a hard time keeping track of him with all the people. Trying not to be too obvious, he'd spin around in a circle as he looked around, trying to place where she was at.

She continued to look on suspiciously at him wondering what his plan was. Is this just some prank from a emotionally stunted immature kid who was just to sick in the head to grow up? Or was it something much more sinister? Sadly she was unable to tell at the moment it would be nice if she had a way to prove he was lying. Where’s a Yamanaka when you need one? For now she just listened to his quote on quote apology and the story he was telling her that she was pretty sure was a bunch of bull shit.

When he got to the end she would say “you expect me to believe any of that? Is the reason you told me your sleep deprived so I would know why your acting so crazy? Do you need help making it to some sort mental institution?” She then continued to glare at him as she waited to see how he would respond. She wondered if it was to loud for her to take out her ear plugs right now. Maybe if she could she could find a way to prove he was lying. But for now she would wait and try to see if she could make him tell the truth another way.

She then started to think of what she could do to make him tell the truth. Clearly just making him aware that she knows he’s lying won’t cut it. There’s also no guarantee that even if she pokes holes in his story that he would admit it and wouldn’t just make up even more ridiculous lies to try and cover his perverbiel ass. The real problem would be what is his end goal and what does he plan to do with that package? The more she thought of it the more she doubted he was some enemy spy either that or Sunagakure security is extremely lacking.

For now she would call him out on his lie about not seeing her saying “you obviously saw me otherwise you wouldn’t of not only slammed into me like that but you wouldn’t of specifically targeted the package I was carrying. But if playing along with your game will be able to help me find the package faster then fine” she would then describe the outside of the package with great detail and wait to see how he responds. She was Definitely going to tell the people in konoha how rude he is to make sure it isn’t just one rotten egg

She wasn't backing off, in fact she seemed to be getting even more aggressive with it. Geez, if she didn't relax a little bit then he'd have a hard time getting away with his new prize. Most people weren't this suspicious, why was she being so grumpy,"Hey, you're not even from around here and what you're accusing me of stealing?", he put his hands on his hips, being a bit dramatic. At this point, people were flowing around them again, but now there were a few people stopping to watch what was turning into a debacle.

He scrunched his face up, feigning offense, "I didn't see you, okay? I don't know what you're talking about targeting your package, I didn't even see it. And I helped you get all your stuff back up, not that you said thank you or anything.", he mocked her a little with his voice. Hopefully if he was annoyed enough about this, she would back off a little, "You're not even from our village, so maybe you should be a little be more polite to....", he paused, he really wanted to threaten that he was a genma host. But he'd been given pretty clear instruction that it was presently a secret, so spouting it off to some random shinobi from another village probably wasn't a good plan, "...to shinobi from an ally village that you're visiting.", he snapped back.

Then he got an idea, maybe he could just bail and then sneak back to grab the package. Clearly it was important if she was making such a fuss about it, "You know, I was gonna help you, but I don't think I will if you're gonna be so rude. Good luck finding your "package" lady, you probably never even had one.", he used air quotes, mocking her a little as he did it. "Konoha ninja shows up in our village and then starts claiming they lost a package so they can get some free stuff probably.", he said to a stranger watching them. Throwing his hands in the air, he'd turn, beginning to walk away, "You know what, whatever. Later lady.", he'd call out, and then try to fall into the crowd, hoping she'd just let him get away.

“Why should I be polite to some one who clearly is lying through his teeth to me you attack me then most likely hide my package I was sent to deliver to your village instead of making you come to mine and you seriously accusing me of being to rude? Maybe you were more polite to me then I would be more polite to you did you ever think of that?! Seriously the whole your not even from around here thing you been spewing is pretty rude to someone from a close ally! Why is it such a big deal to you that I’m not from here?!”

She then watches as he tries to get away while mocking her and trying to accuse her of being the criminal. “Again with the lies! I did come here with a package and quite a few people saw me with it especially the border guards who I showed the package to! Stop trying lying and tell the truth! “ she would then activate her sky platform jutsu to run 20ft into the air while making sure to try her best to keep a close eye on the boy. She would use her sky platform jutsu to try and follow him from above hoping that he will eventually see that this isn’t a game to her and will apologize for his actions.

She couldn’t understand why he was doing this the thought just kept running through her head his actions made no logical sense to her. What was his plan and why did he want that package she had based on his clothes she highly doubted he could hide it on him.

Indra would continue backing away as she was yelling, and then would slip off into the crowd, ducking down to try and get out of her line of sight and weave through the people. He figured he would be able to get away and then circle back and sneak the package away and finally get a look at it. It had gotten pretty snug under the cart, so he didn't think anyone would nab it in the mean time. Ducking down, he'd snag a blanket off the edge of another stall and wrap it around his shoulders, hoping to change his appearance a little.

To his disappointment, however, this very rude woman was now airborne, and her improved vantage point made it pretty easy for her to keep track of him, "Tch. How annoying.", he growled under his breath. Funnily enough, she was rather easy for him to keep track of as well, however, as her soul was rather loud in response to her frustration. This was something he'd learned in the past few weeks too. Everyone's souls made noise, usually just passive gibberish like banter. But when they were particularly emotional about something, may it be sad, angry, excited, or what have you, their souls got louder. It was still mostly gibberish. Random words. His mom's soul liked to call people dunces, which he found quite funny. She'd get home all in a tiff about something and he'd just hear her soul like a drum beat, Dunce, dunce! This dunce! He's a dunce! that Dunce! Dunce!". He always knew to be a little sweeter to her that way.

He couldn't make out quite what this lady's soul was going off about, not with all the other souls all around him also making quite a bit of noise. But still, she stood out. In another attempt to distract her, he'd take the blanket he'd grabbed and toss it in the air at Haruka, "Someone get this lady away from me! She's some random Konoha ninja just attacking me for no reason!", he'd shout, now pushing through the crowd more frantically in an attempt to cause a ruckus.

Was intent on following him until he told her where the package is she continued pursuing him doggedly watching weave in and out even watching him try disguise himself but was thankfully able to see through it all. Though she experienced a big problem when he started to accuse her of attacking him causing her to yell back”more of your lies! I haven’t drawn a single drop of blood from you ever! Just tell me where you hid my package!” She knew chasing him in this situation would just make things worse so she instead ran over to a building and ran at top speed(45) back to the location where she met the little Devil.

There she would watch from a tall building to see the whole area and would watch to see if he would return to the scene of the crime. She would also send a clay raven with a note attached to the gate guards she met previously and who she showed the package to. The note would say “please help a suna ninja possibly a genin has ambushed me in the streets and managed to hide the package I was sent to deliver. He is also spreading lies about me and saying I’ve attacked him” she would then send the description of the suna ninja.

Meanwhile she would make sure to keep a eye on the location using peripheral vision while writing the note. Then the clay raven would take off flying away at high speeds (27 speed ) afterwards she would rest her body for a bit while she waited and would practice Chakra control while keeping watch. Hoping that by keeping watch while practicing chakra control she could get better at using it while her focus is directed elsewhere. She really didn’t want to fail this mission so she hoped she could recover the package without any issues.

She called him a liar and he turned around, shouting back, "Just because you're aim is so bad you can't hit a genin doesn't mean you didn't try to attack me!", he goaded at her. Immediately taking a sharp turn to try and throw her off. He was relieved, however, when he looked behind him and found that she was gone. Slipping down another alley, he'd lean against the wall, laughing under his breath at himself. What a hectic little moment that was. But it seemed she'd given up. More than likely she'd gone back to where they had started to try and find her package. Good thing he knew his way around the area, he'd be able to get back without going in the open.

Slipping through a back door, he's navigate through the various shops and stalls without ever stepping fully out in the open, keeping his eyes out for her. Finally, he was in the shop directly adjacent to where the package had been slid under the cart. He'd close his eyes and focus intently, listening to the ruckus of souls all around him, until he could hear the soft whisper that sounded like her soul. She was definitely around. But if he was careful, he should be able to go to the package without her even noticing.

Climbing to a window, he'd gesture at the shop owner with a thankful face, he simply looked at him sideway before rolling his eyes and wandering off. Indra would drop out the window, staying close to the wall and under the cover of the stall's awning. Ducking down, he'd grab the package and climb back through the window, never coming out from the shadow of the building. She'd never have a chance to see him. Grinning confidently to himself, he'd tuck the package under his arm and shuffle off through the connected buildings, moving his way through them without going back on the street. Before he knew it, he was in an alleyway a few blocks away. It looked like he'd gotten away!

After watching for awhile she came to the conclusion that he must’ve hidden the package somewhere where he could retrieve it without her spotting him from above. He certainly was a dastardly genin, she grumbled a lot that she couldn’t retrieve the package she hated the idea of disapointing the higher ups who hand out missions in Konoha. This is the last time she’s doing any delivery jobs over here for a long time. she hoped all Suna genin weren’t like this.

Afterwards she would return to the guards to let them know of her mishap and that she’s guessing the Suna genin found a way to get the package some how while staying hidden. She then had a lengthy conversation with the guards about it and waited as they radioed other guards about the specific topic. Before eventually telling her to head to a inn where they could contact her. So she nodded and slinked off in shame to a nearby inn where she would totally exhausted practice chakra control for awhile but when it starts to get late and she is getting tired especially after her journey she decides to go to bed clutching her back pack tight before falling fast asleep.
