[Day 1]

It was a dark day, clouds heavy with soon-to-be rainfall hung slow in the sky, blotting out much of the sun. It was odd, sure there were times of year where Suna got rainful, twice, maybe three times. But it had seemed like it had really come out of no where. Usually everyone would be made aware that the rain would be coming in - they had to rearrange their whole weeks around the rainfall. It was always so heavy, sometimes streets flooded, it was an event. Indra liked the rain, he always had as a child. In other places kids looked forward to snow days, but in Suna where snow was a myth, rain took its place. When it rained people usually spoke highly of the smell, the nature aroma of rainfall, the feeling of the warm droplets on the skin, or the sound of it against the ground but for Indra he enjoyed the taste of rain. In Suna, he had felt that the water always tasted a little...grainy was the word? Sand and sediment and mineral got into the water easily so the water was just heavier. The few times he'd had water outside of Wind Country it was such an improvement. But when it rained, the water came straight from the sky in it's purest form. That was good water.

So with dark clouds hanging heavy and low, Indra laid on the roof of his home, staring up at the sky. There was no point in setting out buckets or anything to capture the rain. The moment it came to the earth, Sunagakure's grainy taste would take hold. You had to catch it straight out the sky and drink it right away. He hadn't any plans today, no one did, so he was perfectly comfortable staring at the dark clouds as they rolled through waiting for them to deliver their payload.

Finally, he felt the first drop hit his leg, then another on his forehead. In Suna there was no drizzle, once the rain began to fall it would rapidly turn into a downpour, and thats exactly what would happen. In the time it would take him to form a smile of relief, the few drops that hit him turned into a heavy rain. Almost immediately all his clothes were wet, but like many of the young residents of Sunagakure, Indra didn't care much about that at all. Instead, he grinned and opened his mouth putting his tongue out.

Only this water wasn't fresh, in fact, it tasted even worse than the Sunagakure water. He spat it out (not that spitting matter much with how soaking wet he was), and sat up, looking around himself confused. Tilting his neck back he'd open his mouth again and sure enough the same taste. Spitting it out again, his eyes became wide in panic. Was there something wrong with the water!? Cupping his hands, he held them out and allowed them to quickly fill with rain water. The water seemed clear and clean. There wasn't anything off about it, no discoloration or malodor. It seemed like every other time it had rained. But when he brought it to his mouth it tasted as if he'd drank directly from a puddle of sand. What was this!?

Jumping to his feet, Indra looked about panicked. Would he never taste pure water again? This was his biggest fear!

But, as quickly as the rain has had come, he found himself suddenly jumping alert in bed, sitting upright. Lookin about his room confused, he tried to calm his rapidly beating heart. Perhaps it had been a nightmare? He looked out the window to a bright and shining sun, there would be no rainfall today? He took a heavy breath, he was covered in sweat and was breathing heavy. What a terrible dream that had been/
