Oddly, he was a little more nervous about this one. The briefest of moments considering why brought back an intuitive answer from deep within his soul, but a few moments later a clearer logical answer came in words. This group was bound to be the most intellectual one he'd interacted with thus far, and while he expected he knew at least one of them, that left him feeling like if he were ever to be judged and considered a fraud: it'd be by this group.

He could even feel the anxiety changing his thought and speech patterns, his very grammar was changing for the worse. Fascinating.

Noting the oddity for further dissection later, Hito shifted his weight between both legs and confirmed all systems were working properly. He was once again possessing a puppet and changing its appearance to match his own. This would be a good test of how human the final result looked, and he hoped it was with fluid confidence that he strode into the room that should have been seated full of shinobi that got one of his hand crafted letters that would have been mysteriously delivered to somewhere strange only they would find, and it had a Kazekage seal.

Not bothering to disguise himself or do any awkward small talk, Hito began speaking the moment his calculations assured him everyone in the room would be able to hear his voice. A calculation that was rather fun once he started accounting for the material of each participants clothing and how that'd further affect the sound dampening.

They were in a large auditorium, a typical mid-sized academy lecture hall. The only difference is this one was clearly utilized by more advanced students as the walls, desks and just about every usable space was occupied by documents, tools and random items.

"Thank you all for coming and waiting. We can do introductions soon, but first I wnat you all to understand why you are here." As he spoke and moved towards the front of the room, invisible chakra strings began to sprout from his body and worm their way outwards. "We live in a society that is years behind where it could be. Our people starve when they could be full, we grope in the darkness when we could be dancing in the light, and we dont so much as even know our own history to be able to use to guide our path forwards."

Timing the cadence of his speech and the word choice perfectly so that it ended just as he reached the foot of the stage, but turned instead of standing on it and continued speaking. Meanwhile, his chakra strings reached every corner of the room and were hooking into many different spots and objects.

"You are all here because I've identified you as people that have the skills or the talent to help fix all that. I have considered it carefully and have deemed that if even 30% of this room remain to work together, we will achieve a majority of my goals. Some of which you can see here." With a touch of dramatic flair that Hito could almost swear caused his intestines eyes to roll, his chakra strings tugged and a variety of objects moved into place. Documents unfurled, books opened, notes and posters flipped. The prepped room was suddenly legible and visible for all to see.

"I want you all to get up and look around the room and talk to each other. Read the projects and objectives, decide which ones interest you and rank in them in order of priority to you. Once you're ready to discuss further, sit back down and I'll give you a proper introduction. Everyone here is free to leave at any time. "

And with that, Hito would sit down on the stage and watch, clearly not wanting to engage any further and expecting them to follow his instructions.
OOC, what's been revealed int he roomShow
Around the room is gonna be all the plans we've discussed about R&D. so whichever one interests you, go ahead and mention it or ask me and i'll tell you what'll be there. viewtopic.php?f=105&t=8343157&p=4183478#p4201831 .

So for those interested just in archeology/explloration, you'll find notes and maps about tons of ancient places, including juu no kuni and dungeon country.
for those interested in modernization, there will be sketches and blueprints of random machines and inventions never seen before, as well as designs for an international travel system using fuuinjutsu, etc. etc.

It was early in the morning when Hiroshi got out to his mailbox. He wasn't expecting anything in the mail on this very hot, and very dry morning. Usually on Monday he got a little newspaper that went out to jounin of Sunagakure. It had various advertisements for products and even third party missions attached to it. It was an interesting read for Hiroshi, though he never took any leads from it. He was eager to read this paper when he reached into his mailbox, and to his surprise he found a specially sealed envelope with the newspaper. Hiroshi wondered what the letter might contain and walked back into his house.

When Hiroshi sat down at his dining room table and opened the letter he was pleasantly surprised to read it. The letter was specially addressed to Hiroshi, and was from the former Kazekage himself. Hito Ouiji was the Kazekage Hiroshi was just a boy, and he was one of the first people that Hiroshi remembered as an example of his faith. Hiroshi believed that the Chosen Disciple of the Sun would come ot the Earth in a new age, and that this age would be heralded by a sacred prophet. When the world thought Hito Ouji was the Chosen Disciple, and then he vanished, Hiroshi often wondered if he would be that herald. As Hiroshi read the letter Hito had written him it was at least clear to Hiroshi that Hito would likely play a large part in Sunagakure no Sato's growth in the future.

The letter spoke of Hito's plans for Suna, and how he wanted to lead various teams dedicated to preserving, and developing, Suna's integrity as a village. Hiroshi was immediately drawn into the idea. He was an engineer and mechanic by trade, Hiroshi had built several puppets for Sunagakure over the years. He was a well respected member of society and Hito reaching out to him proved it. The former Kazekage asked Hiroshi to attend a meeting of his and meet with the like minded folks he assembles from around the country. Hiroshi was glad to accept. He wrote a return letter, reserving his place at the sanctioned event and requesting a certain venue at the meeting. Hiroshi had an idea and Hito obliged.

When Hiroshi arrived to set up his booth for the meeting he was one of the first people to arrive. He had four large puppets carrying boxes of paperwork to his assigned area. Hiroshi was an incredibly skilled puppeteer and rarely had to work out his body for menial labor, though he was extraordinarily strong for a puppeteer of the modern age. Once Hiroshi was all set up he left his booth to meet in the middle of the room for Hito's speech. Hiroshi was intrigued by the mathematic lingo of the former Kazekage. Math and Science were not exactly celebrated in Sunagakure, merely taught. There was something to be said of the genius that led the room, though Hiroshi wasn't sure what it was, just yet. He expected he would work with Hito personally.

Looking around the room Hiroshi noticed that there was a certainly more shinobi than civillians among the crowd. Though the civillians that were there certainly stood out. Once Hito had said his piece the crowd began to thing out as people casually mingled among one another. There were all sorts of different infographics and papers strewn around the room and Hiroshi decided to go through the room befor ehe sat down at his booth and talked about his plans for Sunagakure.

Hiroshi had already found his place in Hito's team of teams. According to their correspondences the two of them would be working to explore area of Wind Country that are dubbed "lost civilizations." There were several empires of natives in Wind Country before modernization came upon the land, and they left behind many treasures and knowledges. Hiroshi planned on exploring these lost civilizations and working with Hito was the perfect way to do it. The two had already agreed to fund a little event that Hiroshi had been planning for some time.

Sitting at his booth Hiroshi had several pamphlets around him. Some of them were describing the drug, ibusulfatemal. Ibusulfatemal was a miraculous medicine produced from sulfa ore deposits. With ibusulfatemal, or ISAM, various poisons could be healed and even deadly virus's could be ejected from the body by mucuous. To obtain this drug you had to extract it from sulfa ore through a distillation process, but obtaining the ore was very hard as it typically was surrounded by deadly gasses. Hiroshi had found a cave system rich in sulfa ore, and he planned on exploring it with his puppets, but he needed help. With Hito's help he would find more puppeteers, or people willing to brave the dangers of sulfer gas, and explore the caves. If they were succesful the team Hito arranged could be responsible for the biggest medicine production the village had ever seen.

Hiroshi sat at his table. He was dying for someone to stop and talk to him. He had a big banner over his table that read, "Exploration Team." Hiroshi was ready to tell everyone about how he planned on plundering a cave of precious ores and making medicine to hlep his village.

The room was gathering, people were taking seats and someone fool had brought a squad of puppets to carry things for them. From his seat near a cluttered desk, Genkaku reclined with his mask hiding his features and eyes as he scanned across the assembled individuals. He didn't discern much from them but he wasn't truly trying to figure anyone out. On more than one occasion, Genkaku's eyes wandered across the walls and desks and wondered how long it took someone to graffiti the place with so much random stuff. As a voice spoke up, Genkaku's head turned to focus his attention on who was speaking. mask featurelessly stared at the former Kazekage throughout their speech before noticing the strings weaving across the room. As he spoke about fixing problems, scrolls opened and books flipped pages while things seemed to unfold all around the room.

Genkaku saw the books and scrolls in front of him open up from the influence of the strings before picking up one book and glancing over it. Skimming the contents, he set the book down before hearing that Hito wanted everyone to get up and look around at things before things would be discussed further. Genkaku watched many, if not most people rise to their feet but he stayed rooted in his chair. He didn't voice his opinion on the approach to things, but he found the whole idea a delay of getting to root issues. If he wanted to fix things, then letting people turn these topics into a popularity contest by ranking them in terms of a priority seemed like a waste of time and effort.

Still, the masked puppeteer remained seated and glanced at what was before him, plucking up a different book and reading over it. "I suppose I'll just be patient until people are done gawking at post it notes." He muttered to himself as he casually read over the contents of hte book. It seemed to discuss the idea of transportation through the use of Jikukan. The concepts seemed thesible on paper but in practice it would probably require more than the writer was thinking. If anything a combination of Jikukan and traditional transportation would probably be best. Hell, a team of puppeteers could probably be used to crew a puppet transport of some kind that allowed for slightly faster travel. Genkaku browsed the book a little longer before setting the item down and returning his attention to watching the others and seeing when they'd return to their seats.

Looking across his audience, Hito registered each set of reactions. They were being analyzed to a degree they could likely not even comprehend, with Hito's vision tracking every minuscule muscle movement and tracking the very milisecond it occurred in relation to his words or actions. He could practically read their minds and already each newcomer was revealing a crucial part of their personalities.

Hito's main objectives here today were to connect individuals, pick out what would be members of the third main faction of his plans and actually begin on research and development planning. His notes on each individual here were extensive, but theory and data could only take one so far when dealing with minds & personalities.

Having given them all a moment to explore on their own, Hito channeled his chakra once more and suddenly each of the little points of presentation had a copy of himself there, ready to engage with whoever was interested and provide further context. Each of these copies was sharing one-and-the-same mind, mental puppets that would help speed this meeting and his objectives along.
HiroshiShow
Hito didn't have to watch Hiroshi too intently, as the Jounin was the only one that had arrived with a mission in-mind. He was also the riskiest person here for Hito to have revealed his identity to. Hiroshi walked an interesting line in Hito's simulated plans, he was somebody who could easily fall into any three of the arrising factions that he was slowly orchestrating into existence. As such, he was currently the wildest variable in play and the spectrum of the possibilities for his future ranged from Hero to traitor, prophet to heretic and legendary to forgotten. This first goal they had lined up was mostly intended to collect more data and narrow down those future possibilities. Likewise, Hito hoped that regardless of Hiroshi's future, he'd be a valuable insight into a different camp of Yuumagakure followers within the village.

Why he felt like this about the young man wasn't entirely clear. He certainly had access to all records regarding Hiroshi, but predominantly, these feelings and expectations came from his newfound enlightenment, his higher-conscience that spoke through feelings and intuition rather than clear-cut logic, which was rahter irritating for this creature of logic.

As his extension materialized in front of Hiroshi, it would begin speaking in a relatively louder voice than the other clones. Their mission was just about set and it lacked others interested in joining more than it lacked Hiroshi's interest.

"Blessed light, dear Hiroshi-san! I'm glad to finally meet you in person." Hito's voice maintained its apathetic nature, but he was polite and even respectful, which might be odd from a follower hearing from a former kazekage. "We have much to discuss on many matters, but today we'll stay focused on this shared project of ours. While I'm up to date on the materials you sent me, I do find myself wondering why this project in particular piqued your interest so passionately?]
GenkakuShow
Hito almost smiled a genuine smile at the sight of the grumpy puppeteer. Hito had met him only the day before after intruding on his tinkering, and he hadn't left the best impression on the young man. He was glad to see he also hadn't scared him off, though that would have been a pretty surprising turn of events considering all that his data profile indicated.

Unsurprisingly, his interest gravitated to something of great use and potential if handled by skilled puppeteers.
"Ah, Genkaku-san! I'm glad you made it. It's nice to see you again so soon." Smiling a lazy but genuine smile, Hito proceeded, knowing this was not the type of man that was interested in small-talk. "I'm in particular glad to see your interest in practical applications of Jikukan for trade & diplomacy. I've spent more time thinking of the repurcussions rather than the engineered system itself, as I'm confident my end-goals are achievable and did not yet want to commit time to how exactly. I think your assistance would be invaluable here.

Our first priority is a low cost, stable and low-risk system that connects all of the cities, villages and tribes within our Nation's borders. To start, this connection needs to at least provide a way to transmit information instantaneously, then we can work our way up to goods and then people. Are you familiar with the railway system developed by Kumogakure and Konohagakure?

It was nice to be able to talk technicalities and abandon the need for diplomatic calculations in facial expressions or word choice. He had a feeling Genkaku was the type of man that worked best when given a problem, no need to sugar coat it.[/color]
