Return of the Bloody Mist

Post by Diatenshi » Mon May 04, 2020 9:59 am

There'd been lots of talk with in the village amongst the older generation, saying the youths today had it easier. That things weren't as difficult or competitive enough to breed true killers anymore. Of course this kind of talked reflected poorly on the pride of Kirigakure and swift changes were made starting with the graduation ceremony. The new graduation exam/ceremony was a literal blood bath in which the cadets had to pop their cherry and claim a kill.

Chisaki was excited to join in, it was a chance for her to let her true nature run wild. She'd refrain from killing any cadets but it was open season when it came to the slaves. With any luck she might see someone worth keeping. Or better yet she could stir shit up and let the cadets face her children after killing all the slaves. Now that would be an interesting if not entertaining exam. Kill the walking dead. She wondered for a moment how many would survive such a test.

Wishful thinking sadly. Any offspring she made would more likely than not be killed by the Toukai clan. Her gifts originated from them and to see that gift spread outside the clan was something they would probably hate vehemently. At least she had her Ichiro. The only reason she got away with turning him was he was a fellow clan member and the ability stayed in the clan. Though, the elders were still irate and reprimanded her for her willful actions.

Thinking of her son he was going to be joining her soon. Wasn't that sweet? Mother and child hunting together as a family. The thought made her smile as she looked out into the mist. His amnesia had bothered her a bit as she hadnt been trying to mess with his memories at all. Who would've known that there'd be such a side effect? Or that she'd develope a maternal instinct to protect him? So much for making herself a lover that was of the same race. She sighed staring off waiting for the arrival of her son.

Return of the Bloody Mist

Post by TheLegendaryCrabman » Mon May 04, 2020 9:44 pm

Well, so much for being on time... Mari mused to himself as he ran among the trees. His natural orientation had always been practically inexistent, but when added to the some of the thickest mist he had ever seen it became practically impossible to find Chisaki in the proving grounds. He had promised he would meet her at the bottom of the closest mountain at dawnbreak just as the final test commenced, and while he wasn't far off from the set time, he certainly wasn't on point either. He had pulled his hood up and done his best to stay inconspicuous just in case he found any overly-excited academy students confusing him for one of the targets. At this point, though, he doubted it mattered in the least. The mist was so thick that he would bet money on the teachers having conjured it with Ninjutsu to make the test more difficult.

Suddenly, he felt he'd spotted a hint of the strangest hair he'd ever seen in his life. As he slowed down and paid closer attention, his suspicions were confirmed. Yes, flashy, stylish and vividly magenta there it sat on top of his creator's head. She seemed lost in thought as she leaned against a tree nonchalantly. She seemed so much older than himself, even though he knew she wasn't, and yet that only made him all that more attracted to her. He regularly tried to shrug it off as part of his adolescent experience, but it was to no use. At the same time, he felt a pull at his core towards her. The way a son feels a pull to his mother. Perhaps even more strongly.

She audibly sighed, staring off into the distance and simultaneously snapping him out of his thoughts. Shaking his head and thus his wild red mane free of these thoughts, he approached.

"Hey, looks like I made it in time for breakfast." He stepped closer to her, taking the time to drop his hood and dust himself off. The mist was so thick it felt as if his clothes were drenched. "Graduation sure wasn't anything like this when I had it."

Nishiki momentarily sighed with disbelief as he seemed to walk in distant thought, thinking about what happened with Aimi-sama at the start of the festivities and his slither of uncertainty that remained over the change but he also somehow felt a twinge of annoyance other the whole ordeal.
Nonetheless the Tsukino had promised to put on a good show for the Muramasa and the young Jinchuuriki in particular had to "prove his worth as a weapon" or something along those lines, which unusually got on the boy's nerve as he wondered what any of it was for him at all.

"Yoshi, I think I'm starting to see some of what ticks you off with this" the genma host just sort of muttered to himself as walked along through the thick mist.
"Not sure why really, it wasn't really that upsetting before, just for some reason this is starting to grate at me you know" he continued to mutter in a pensive manner, giving a sigh as he did.
"Hahaha, perhaps you're just finally looking out for yourself" the beast within rumbled within the lad's head, as a result no-one could hear and it certainly seemed like a one way discussion to anyone that caught him mumbling.
Perhaps the genma did in fact speak the truth and perhaps it was his influence that made it so, though as the cage for said beast the Special Jounin could not admit such words and didn't truly ponder if they were really true.

True or not the regally dressed Tsukino approached an area of the village deemed a big site for the upcoming slave hunts, his red and gold kimono in full flow as he pushed through the fog and tried to look around for where he should be headed.
"This is the place is it not?" he spoke out, wondering if he got the correct intel for this particular hunt.
"What do I care?" Yoshimitsu simply mocked within.
Nishiki wasn't certain due to how thick the mist had turned but as he approached he saw moving shadows and heard voices drawing his attention, from which one figure stood out with familiarity.
"Ah, Chisa-" he began to speak louder but then pondered if it was appropriate to do so, thinking he would make things bad for himself as he thought she must be competition and that there wasn't anything in it for him... again, those kinds of thoughts... then he pulled himself together and brushed the thoughts aside.
"Chisaki!" he called out as he approached, glad to see a familiar face though at the same time he turned to the other kid with her whom he wondered if he was a Toukai.
"Nishiki, bled for the family Muramasa, born of the house Tsukino, Jinchuriki host of Yoshimitsu no Etaigenma the Phantom Beast of Elements" the young fox said as he turned the kid, bowing with respect as he introduced himself.
"Here for a slave hunt?" he then questioned with a weird grin on his face.

Chisaki was broken away from her thoughts as the sound of footsteps came from ahead in the mist. A warm smile, different from the crazed joyful one that usually graced her face spread across her cherry red lips. She kicked off the tree and glanced at Mari as he approached. Her Ichiro as she called him. While he technically wasn't the first she'd made ... He was the first she'd changed and let live, all the others merely experiments to understand her power.

She hugged him around his waist and lifted him checking his weight. He felt a little light and his reference to breakfast made her pout. Had he been skimping on his meals? She was worried... Which even struck her as slightly odd. She didn't normally care for people in general, let alone someone she changed out of pity. It would seem he was definitely in the Friend/Family category and out of the Food category.

"Oi. Have you been skipping meals or something why are you so light?"

She snapped and tugged on the boy's ear. He'd escape the grip easily enough if he tried but to date he hadn't bothered. She was curious as to why. Had he not gotten used to his free body shape or was it her specifically that made him shrink back like a child. She had to admit it was cute and endearing though. She also wondered how long until his chuunin exam. She had to work harder if he caught up it'd be a bit of a humiliation. She had to stay at the top.

As he went to answer she heard voice that struck a chord of familiarity. The damn fox was back! Back to torment and tease her with the fluffy tails she just wanted to cuddle and squeeze and pet and ... No! She wouldn't let him sway her with his soft fluffiness that reminded her of the cute innocent animals she loved so much. Besides he had Aimi-Sama and Aimiki wasn't something she could bring herself to tarnish.

His excessively formal introduction to Ichiro was a blessing as it distracted her from his swaying tails. Instead she took note of his ever changing wardrobe. Always so flashy and stylish she looked down at her usual black jacket and wondered when the last time she changed her clothes was. Most do it in a daily basis but being as her clothes were part of her she often forgot to.

She'd smile and her clothes would change into a simple black spaghetti strap dress that cut off just above the knees and hung loosely on her body. Her boots would sink into the pale creamy skin of her legs and feet. She did a little pirouette, the dress fanning out slightly showing off more thigh.

"Mmm much better. Nishiki-sama we came here for breakfast. Also, this is my son Mari. Mari, this is Nishiki-sama, my previous supervisor."

He felt himself instinctively blush as she pulled on his ear and lectured him on his lack of care. In truth, he'd been eating like a starving bear ever since his "change". His own body felt dense and unnaturally heavy for his size and yet he just kept adding more mass. Of course, he wasn't about to say any of this. She wouldn't believe him and much to his shame, he enjoyed her strange displays of affection. He was grateful that something had distracted her from noticing, however.

As he diverted his eyes, he spotted the man that approached. Around his own age, dressed like royalty and filled with spice in his movements and manner of speech, he was a Tsukino alright. The tails and ears caught most people off-guard at first, made them look harmless. On one hand, Mari had always been curious about the other servants of the Muramasa. On the other, he had never been able to trust one at first glance. Their hospitable and overly polite manner of addressing people made him see them as fake and cunning. Of course, this could just be his clan's bloodline speaking.

"Mari, bled for the family Muramasa, born of clan Toukai, host of Chisaki's weird flesh and limited patience." Mari's retort slipped from his tongue before he realised he was even speaking. Here he was, meeting one of Chi's friends and immediately speaking to them in the most rude possible manner. Was it jealousy? A general disdain for the Tsukino? Chisaki's far more potent strain of the virus influencing his mood? Perhaps all three. His eyes widened as he slowly turned them to the ground, hoping he hadn't gone too far.

"Apologies.." He quickly added, rubbing his forehead in a strained and tired manner as if he was exhausted of having the same outbursts often. He threw his hands up in resignation and fatigue, offering peace. "I'm still not very used to the virus, sometimes I say things I haven't even thought of yet."

Patiently, he awaited Nishiki's response and Chisaki's probable incoming punishment. His breathing calmed and he felt the heat of anger dissipate just as quickly as it had come. He wondered to himself when he would be able to control the drastic changes made to his physique, if ever.

"Yes, Nishiki-sama, we came to join in on the fun."

Nishiki cocked his head in a confused manner as Chisaki mentioned breakfast but before he could ask what she meant, the boy she was with introduced himself in return but in a seemingly mocking way before suddenly apologizing which introduced an whole other layer of confusion.
Nonetheless the special jounin shook his head as if shaking out the thoughts as he focused on how his friend had changed appearances like it was nothing, which was always a fascinating aspect of those like her with such unnatural bodies as he couldn't help but think it would be so weird to him and yet probably so easy and cool.

"Sooo... You are like Chisaki then? You can do that?" the fluffy, five tailed boy questioned curiously "I confess, I still do not quite understand how all... that... works" his words pondered as his ears flicked with an excited wonderment, clearly wishing to know more but his face was unsure if he ever could without experiencing something like it himself.
"Though, you know, shapeshifting is said to be one of the many tricks of the fox" the Tsukino grinned as he brought up intriguing folklore "shishishishi" he snickered, scratching under his nose "They have so many tricks but I bet that one is a very useful one, which I suppose we can do quiet easily these days with jutsu but in the past it would probably be called voodoo or magic or something I bet" he gave an affirmative nod as he could truly know, snickering a bit more as he spoke.

"Perhaps you could transform easily like that if you actually truly understood how to wield my power" a menacing, know it all voice spoke up within the jinchuuriki's mind as a prod at the cage's skills.
"What? Like with the elements?" the boy questioned, not hearing anything of the sort before but he could simply only feel what might be called a snickering evil grin in return.
"Wow such a tease" he then accidentally spoke out loud without realising, only to realise something else in return as he took in this idea of "fun" mentioned by Mari.
"Oh breakfast is hunting slaves!" he then blurted in realisation.

Her eyes went wide and her jaw dropped in shock at Mari's flippant behavior. Nishiki-sama was her old supervisor, is still superior to both of them in rank and the honored Jinchukiri of Yoshimitsu. Her face turned a little red even though she didnt have blood to make her flushed and the only saving grace was his quick apology after. She couldn't let him off the hook with just that. Oh no. He had to know just how bad he'd screwed the pooch.

"Weird flesh! Host of my weird flesh! How dare you speak of your mother in such a manner!"

She'd pinch his ear and pull him away to whisper quietly so onl Maru could hear her.

"Your lucky Nishiki-Sama was not offended! Are you trying to get us both killed?! His lover is one of the legendary Bannin of our village. Kaguya Aimi! Behave yourself and watch your mouth next time."

She finally turned back looking apologetically towards Nishiki-sama. At the mention of their shape shifting abilities Chisaki smirked and started going crazy with the changes, her eyes turning purple, hair turning green and her dress turning yellow with red polka dots.

"Its kinda like the transformation jutsu but instead of using chakra to change our shape and appearance we simply will ourselves to appear a certain way and our bodies change to match."

She shrugged and went back to the black dress and magenta hair with bright yellow eyes. It was the form of her old body in its prime and her attachment to humanity and her old self couldn't let go of it. Probably why Mari appeared so young. The change into his body at its prime was probably too big of a shock and he made himself look younger.

Or maybe he wanted to look younger than her? She'd never thought about it but her mothering behavior towards him had never been rejected even though he still had his original birth mother.

"Ooooo breakfast... I'm so hungry... Nishiki-sama why'd you have to remind meeee. While I won't say your not invited, I do ask you refrain from puking after watching us eat. Its.... nauseating."

His ear stung as Chisaki pulled on it to reprimand him. It was a strange feeling. It was not his ear per se, now was it? He didn't have ears, eyes, skin, fingers or anything one could classify as the human body anymore. He was just a bulk of flesh. All of it the same, twisted into the appearance of the fifteen year old boy he used to be. A strange thought in itself, but it was all the same. He was still the poorly mannered teen whose "mother" was disciplining with the classic ear-pulling technique passed down through generations.

"I apologize, ow! I'm sorry, agh!" He yelped as best he could as she clarified the fact that he had been disrespectful to someone who was not only her friend but also a person that could easily arrange for both of their demises. He nodded with his head and said in a loving, but pouty manner. "Yes, mother."

As they returned, Nishiki appeared somewhat amused by his outburst rather than properly offended. He questioned his abilities with curiosity, and as always Chisaki was happy to oblige. Her control of her own appearance and form were still fascinating, though even more so to him as he understood what it was like to have such a body. It was far from as easy to him as it was to her. Still, he had a couple of tricks up his sleeve as well and proceeded to demonstrate by pulling the not-so-proverbial right sleeve up.

"It's not quite like changing your form in a transformation. Think of the way you move your lips when you speak, now imagine you can twist your entire body in that way to such a point that anything is possible. Check it out." As he finished speaking, his uncovered arm began changing and warping in unnatural ways. Flesh twisted upon itself to make way for chitin as the shape of a blade became more apparent. He kept it outstretched so that Nishiki could examine it, giving a sheepish shrug as he did it. "To be honest, I still don't quite understand it myself. I'm nowhere near as good at it as mother yet."

He awaited his response, lifting an eyebrow as he wondered who Nishiki was speaking to. Chisaki pulled his attention with something else however, as she spoke of feeding in the proving grounds. His free hand clutched his stomach which began rumbling.

"Yeah, I could use a little feast myself."

Nishiki was quite confused by the weird mother-son relationship the duo had as Chisaki scolded the younger Toukai who then apologised further, it was all rather odd and he couldn't help but look weirdly at the pair for a moment. As such he was a bit lost in all the words for a good while as they both tried to explain their ability and other such things but he supposed he kind of got the gist of it,even if he couldn't truly tell what any of it could feel like.
"Fascinating..." the Tsukino commented as he pondered it all "...Though it does sound kind of weird still if you don't mind, plus you two... well... er..." he trailed off, not sure what to or even if he should say anything further.

That was when it suddenly clicked in his mind as he stepped back in shock, his head tilted in confusion, his ears perked and tails frozen as his left index finger slowly came to the corner of his lip.
"Huh? HUh? Waaaait...... Me and Aimi-sama?" the young fox questioned, rather puzzled at the concept.
"No, no, no... That's..." he wasn't sure what to say and became rather flustered as his tails contorted together in frustration and his dipped in his riled up state, in turn full on revealing the black rod that pierced through his wrist thanks to Yoshimitsu's presence.
His brows furrowed and he bit on his nail before turning to look at the ground and then back at the odd pair as he tried to regather his thoughts, as he simply decided to pin it and let it go.
"Nevermind" he simply stated as if to dismiss whatever his little weird freakout was and was awkward attempt at somehow ending such discussion, though it would probably do no such thing and would probably fuel Chisaki's misconception even further.
"So then, how long until we're to start participating here?" the then moved the conversation on, pulling his sleeve back up as he did, though he was truly quite curious how much longer they had to wait.
