[PB] A Mizukage's Tasker

Post by Zao » Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:58 pm

A broad shoulders, crimson haired man sat at his desk now leaned slightly forward allowing for the shoulder length hair to fall before the scarred face that was propped up on a single gloved hand. Both of the man's golden eyes were currently hidden from sight as he was pondering on the news that had just been brought to him by the SRI unit. He'd tasked them out to see if their was any method for him to improve his already impressive connection with the basic five elements. After converting his former flesh and blood body to that of an elemental body he'd discovered that unlike others who were tied down to a single element the man was able to change the composition of the eternal body to any of his mastered elements.

Thus after rising to the rank of Kage by killing his old friend and peer, Kai, the man had sent down word to the SRI to investigate the questions he had and report back to him with the results of the inquiry. It had been a few months since the original request and honestly he’d been a bit surprised that any results were found at all but the unrolled parchment before him said otherwise. “What a welcomed surprise, though I’m rather tied down in the village right now and won’t be able to just leave to go collect what I need…” An icy voice slipped between the man’s scarred lips now as he spoke aloud to himself about the matter at hand. There was an old technique that was a combination of Tenku and Fuuin that would allow for him to take away the elemental essence of a spirit and draw it into himself.

The other gloved hand began to lightly tap his fingers on the large oak table with its intricately carved edges and glossy top, with a slow exhale he had decided on the best course of action. Having read over a number of the different intelligence reports on the various up and coming shinobi within the village the man had a basic grasp of the level of strength the village had. Finally, both golden eyes opened slowly now and the right hand which had been propping the head up moved to take hold of a nearby quill. The large hand seemed to almost completely hid the writing utensil as he began to write out a mission request and a handful of shinobi that would be best assigned to the mission. The ones he’d chosen weren’t jounin level but instead a group of chuunin, this would be a good test of their personal strength but wouldn’t be to difficult...just enough to allow for them to temper themselves in combat outside of Water country.

It was important for one to actually work outside from their home village, it would allow for them to experience the outside world and temper themselves along the way, for them to truly prove their worth as a shinobi and to the village. In the first group he’d summon was also one of the village’s Genma, Nishiki, one that the new Kage wanted to keep an eye on and was perhaps one that he’d like to take as a personal student in the future...maybe. This mission and how well himself and the other chuunin performed would help for the old man to drive his decisions in the future. Rolling up the scroll he handed it off to the female assistant who’d been patiently waiting there this entire time, the shinobi bowed and left without a word leaving the bearded man to his own thoughts for the time being.

[PB] A Mizukage's Tasker

Nishiki was just hanging out at the Tsukino compound after a nice, delicious breakfast, sitting and looking up into the mist as his bare feet splashed around in a nearby pond with light gentle kicks and his mind pondered about a few things of which one was what he could get up to for the day to which he thought maybe he could see if Lumine wasn't too busy for more training or some such.

This peaceful, thoughtful time went on for a short time when some younger cub who had only recently gone through the secret process of becoming a foxkin shyly approached him from the building area.
"N-nishiki-sama, umm, I-I, umm, I was told to give you..." the quiet boy spoke hesitantly as he held out a scroll of sorts, seemingly in awe of the elder teen's status as a jinchuuriki as nerves filled him and made him feel awkward.
"Oh? Shishishi, let me see" the pink fur covered boy replied happily as he stood up and patted the kid on the end, though it wasn't like he personally knew the boy since he wasn't directly from his own family but he often saw him get sent around the whole House for chores like he himself did now and again, nonetheless he gracefully accepted the scroll with a thankful nod and immediately opened it and began reading as the kid bolted off like a frightened mouse.
A shiver ran down Nishiki's spine as he read the contents though they where not haunting in of themselves, they did provide a chilling feeling that sank to the very core as it was clear that what he held was a personal letter direct from the Mizukage stating he had to report in for a mission and it was the ought of seeing that man which sent the shiver down his spine.

Taking a deep breath to steel himself the young chuunin shook off the feeling of dread as best as he could as he put on his sandals and picked up all his equipment that fitted nicely with his usual kimono and other accessories before heading off towards the Kage building.
As the basics genma jinchuuriki Nishiki had met the previous kage personally before as a genin when he was being scouted as a possible candidate, which was a little nerving but Kai was a whimsical and jovial man that took all the pressure off whereas the usurper had a dark legend surrounding him that filled many with dread.

Though Kasai faded somewhat into these legends during the Tsukino's youngest years, making them something hard to believe, the man recently resurfaced from retiring in full force and performed a coup on their then current Mizukage and took the title for himself which brought the stories back anew and built them up as strong as ever filling people once more with dread; Black Reaper is what they called him and it was as chilling as ever.

Nishiki hoped the Kage would not be as scary to meet as he sounded and tried to instead fill himself with curiosity over why he was being summoned as he stepped foot into the building and made his way to the office; his mind pondered about what kind of mission such a potentially chilling man could as of him and which other shinobi he would be working with, which started to get him filled with a little excitement as he finally reached his destination and awaited to be welcomed in with nerves starting to show not unlike the little kid from before.

One thought did cross his mind as his father told him that Kasai made a brief appearance during the rampage incident and that perhaps the reaper had gained an interest, keeping a close eye on the jinchuuriki's development since then and had since found an opportunity to call him in over such progress which made things seems even more frightening in a way.

Naohiro was one with the winds. Arms spread wide and fingers splayed, he balanced one-footed on the apex of his family home as icey, chakra-laden winds tore around him in a miniature tempest of his own making. It was a particularly frustrating test of endurance, chakra control, and simple balance, and one that he'd yet to master for more than a few minutes.

"Nao!"
The sudden call from below shattered his concentration and he swayed just as the wind battered at him from one side. He teetered for a moment, flailing as the jutsu died around him, then slipped from the peak of the roof and skidded down the incline in a barely-controlled descent before dropping to the ground near his father. Even though the man had lost his sight years ago, he still had the good grace to smirk at the noise of his son falling from the roof because of his interruption. A moment later, he held out a tightly-wrapped scroll to the boy.

"What's this?" Naohiro asked, plucking the scroll and examining the seal for a moment before opening it to read. "A mission? It's about time..." He frowned as he read. "Maybe, anyway. It's a summons to attend the Mizukage. The new Mizukage." When he looked up, his father's face had lost it's earlier amusement.

"Then you better leave at once. Don't keep him waiting."

Naohiro grunted and turned to run inside, intending to grab his mission attire—and perhaps fix his hair quickly—before leaving. He hesitated after a few steps and shot a glance back at his father. The man hadn't moved, and seemed deep in thought.

"Father? What's he like? Kasai. Did you know him?"

Naoshige didn't react immediately. When he did, his voice was quiet. "The Black Reaper. It's been some years since he was active, it's no wonder you don't know of him. Be on your guard, Naohiro. I'd wager that less of his reputation than you'd expect is mere rumour. When you return, I'd like to hear your impressions of the man."

Naoshige's sudden reticence made concern spike in Naohiro, and he finished getting ready at speed and in silence.

He arrived at the Mizukage's tower still filled with thoughts about the new kage. He knew as little as his father had thought; to Naohiro, Kasai was a new and unknown factor within the village, heralded only by occasional dark whispers and masked speculation. His predecessor, Kai, had always seemed like part politician—a scheming nobleman of the type Nao was accustomed to from a life spent among the Hirohito and Aisu. He'd had a bloodthirsty streak and a powerful ambition, as proven by his ruthless strike on the former Kirigakure Council that brought about his rise to power, but beneath the endless layers of plots, you could trust in Kai to be aiming at a stronger Kirigakure and a stronger seat of power for himself. They were understandable and pragmatic goals, even if the man himself had been a mask of casual joviality.
But Yami Kasai? The man had seemingly come from nowhere. His unexpected strike at power suggested that he was an entirely difference beast to the former Mizukage. And he must posses staggering strength, to seize the office so quickly and from a man who'd already been heralded as strong.

These thoughts circled Naohiro's mind as he presented himself to the woman outside the door to the Mizukage's office. He was tense as he waited for admittance, both due to his apprehension about the man inside and due to the unknown task ahead. It took him a few moments before he realised another ninja had been summoned to join the meeting too; a distinctive Tsukino boy, complete with red-tinged hair, ears, and tail. He looked perhaps a year or so younger than Naohiro himself, with a nervous or excited energy about him. It was difficult to tell which as the pair waited to enter the office.

[PB] A Mizukage's Tasker

Post by Zao » Tue Mar 12, 2019 9:58 pm

“Sir, the two you’ve summoned have arrived.” A soft voice could be heard as from the shadow in one corner of the room a slender looking masked shinobi stepped forth, the unnamed shinobi had long raven hair that was tied back in a ponytail and his features were hidden with a hunter-nin style wooden mask. Kasai was a former hunter-nin and felt most comfortable having other such shinobi around him for his personal security detail. After a few moment the crimson haired shinobi lifted his golden eyes from the document before him and glanced at the door, but he didn’t seem to feel the need to make a response as he continued to write upon the document before him on the desk. It was only around three or four minutes later that he finally placed the raven colored feather quill down and gave a solemn nod towards the figure who seemed to fade back into the shadows of the room.

Outside the room a young female chuunin was stationed outside and had been the one to let them knew that the new Kage would be able to see them shortly and to just wait patiently outside for word from the old man before entering. It would be at this point that the chuunin wandered off to continue on with her daily tasks working in the mission assignment department. There did not appear to be anyone else on this floor of the Mizukage’s administration building at this time of the day, the only sound besides the two young shinobi themselves would be the faint ticking of a large grandfather style clock near a window that looked out over the northern portion of the village that was still shrouded in a thin layer of mist at the moment. “You may enter to see Kasai-sama now.” A soft, almost childlike voice entered the quiet air now, a slender figure who appeared to be someone in their early teens spoke seeming to have almost appeared out of nowhere near the window.

This was the same masked hunter-nin who had previous been within the Kage’s office, having only left their post in order to deliver the message to the pair of young chuunin before walking towards the part of large double doors. Each door by itself was over a meter wide and around three meters tall with what appeared to be hand carving of various Hidden Mist related images. The hunter-nin only opened the large door on their right hand side before flowing through the doorway leaving the two shinobi to follow in trace now. As they would enter they would find the room only had a few pieces of furniture, the most noticeable being the large three meter wide desk behind which a scarred face man with long flowing crimson hair set silently. He offered no words of welcome for the two shinobi and seemed to only await for them to speak first before they would receive anything back from himself.

Kasai would look across the room, his golden eyes were only hair open but the gaze which drifted from the two almost glowing irises onto the younger shinobi would cause for them to almost feel like he was glaring directly into their souls. These were a set of eyes that belonged to someone who had slaughtered his way through each rank and used the blood and bodies of those enemies in his wake to build a mountain upon which to place the legends of his past. But as the two would report in to the Kage he would place both larged, black gloved hands onto the table as if they were needed to help support himself into a standing position. This would be the first time that they would be able to fully take in the towering figure of the seven foot tall man as the left hand came up and gentle stroked at the rough looking beard upon his scarred face.

Tsukino Nishiki...Aisu Naohiro…” The older man seemed to speak in a whisper like tone, speaking each of the chuunin by name now, a strange aura of death seemed be intertwined with the words as they were spoken. It was like the god of death had just called out their names as he shifted his golden gaze over each of the well spoken of ninja before him as though sizing them up for the task he had at hand. Though the man had restrained his normal killing intent if one was sensitive enough they be able to feel a faint baleful aura of death surrounded his entire person as he took a few long steps which brought him around and directly in front of the desk. As he maneuvered himself the gloved right hand reach down and casually picked up a manila folder that had been setting on the waxed surface of the intricate desk.

Then the man would turn fully, towering over a foot taller than either chuunin who stood before him as he began to speak again, “You’ve been summoned on my personal request. I’ve read the reports from your superior which have spoken of how you have been performing above your current ranks in both skill and tactics.” As the same, death like voice drifted the short distance of only a meter or so to the pair of ninja the man’s golden eyes finally shifted their gaze and dropped onto the folder which had been flipped open now. “Thus I feel that this will be a good test of your skill and this is also a tasker that is coming from me as well, being two fold you could say.” He knew that being able to capture three elemental spirits would be rough for a single jounin, needless to say that it would be even more difficult for a pair of chuunin.

But the man wasn’t necessarily stacking the deck against the two young men, as he glanced off into the shadow and a young woman around their own ages, most likely in between them somewhere appeared from the corner of the room. It had been the same figure as before only now she wasn’t wearing a mask as she simply bowed to the Kage and remained silent. “This is Wei, she’s a Tenku specialist who I’ve assigned to help you with this mission. Your mission is to capture three elemental spirits that we’ve located across our neighboring countries and bring them back to me personally.” The folder in the left hand snapped shut with an audible snap sound before it was tossed casually towards the older of the two shinobi, within it contained a detailed map and information about each of the spirits.

He’d allow for the two chuunin to glance over the mission folder and allow for his words to sink in before continuing to speak and answer any questions that they might have. What might surprise them was the fact that each spirit was located in a different country, making this mission a bit more dangerous due to the fact that they’d also be operation in what could be considered enemy territory. But their was only a commander’s intent given to them, to capture the spirits and return them to Kasai, but as for the actually reason for wanting them the old man didn’t speak it aloud to them.

[PB] A Mizukage's Tasker

Post by WrightJustice » Fri Mar 15, 2019 7:42 am

It was actually somewhat eerie as Nishiki made his way towards the Mizukage's office with the only sound seemingly only being the ticking of a loud grandfather clock, its haunting clicks becoming louder as he got closer until finally another sound in a young kunoichi's voice broke through to inform him to wait until called in and so that is what he had been doing for a good while now.

Whilst waiting the young pup noticed a somewhat older, kind of pretty boy teen also arrive which the girl seemed to also be talking to when she said they had to wait but nerves where already too wired to bring up any kind of conversation, besides he didn't know if they where here together or for separate reason so it seemed best to leave the boy alone even if there was an awkward silence between the two.

However the Tsukino's left ear perked up and his three tails curled and swayed in an intrigued fashion as his head tilted and his eyes scanned the very soldier looking kid, which in a way seemed totally different than his looks which had a kind of beauty and grace about them with pale white skin and long black hair but then he supposed that perhaps he had dressed up ready for a mission and maybe his normal clothes where more elegant.
Not wanting to be strange and stare the younger boy quickly turned away and looked up at the large doors as he awaited for them to open, though one thought jumped to his mind as he did"Aisu?"he pondered to himself, which when he thought about it he had also met another very soldier looking Aisu a bit ago but that one was also masked and from the HHD so he wondered if this one was just as cold.

After a good while a voice suddenly spoke up telling the two that they could now meet with the Kage as a figure suddenly appeared near the window, which was somewhat, half shocking but in truth Nishiki was used to sudden appearances of figures from nowhere given it was an often occurrence throughout his time as a genin and even still now sometimes though the girlish sounding figure was much more deceiving than any of the guards put on him as a genma host.

Nishiki gave a gentle nod towards the masked nin before following them through the giant door and finally into the Mizukage's office which immediately hit him the deepest chills as his eyes laid upon the man himself; the Black Reaper.
As the kid entered he instantly went into a deep bow and spouted a kind of introduction of himself, though with the chills and nerves it didn't quite come out so right which probably made things even more awkward.
"Nishiki, bled for the family Tsukino, born of the house Muramasa, no I mean, bled for Muramasa and born of Tsukino and umm Jinchuriki host of Etaigenma the Beast Phantom of Elements, er, oh yeah Yoshimitsu..." his words came out in the wrong order and such and trailed off in embarrassment for a moment before he bowed down even further somehow
"Sorry! Nishiki, bled for the family Muramasa, born of the house Tsukino, Jinchuriki host of Yoshimitsu no Etaigenma the Phantom Beast of Elements, at your service lord Mizukage-sama!" he restated everything in its proper manner in apology before pinging back up and looking around all flustered as if trying not to look at the man at first until he slowly and finally did so.
"Great first impression"he called himself out in his head as he slowly tried to gaze upon Kasai and the intense, cold stare, which actually seemed lower than he imagined it could be.

As the leader of the village finally started to speak towards the two shinobi the eerie, death-like aura seemed to spike and shroud the room in an imaginary darkness that sent shivers down the flustered Tsukino's spine, in turn almost causing him to step back in fright as his two foxy ears folded down and his three tails lowered and curled like a true scared animal all whilst every hair stood on end.
However he could not let it get to him and so he gulped down hard and stood his ground, though he still could not help but feel nervous and the twang of despair emanating from the man so the boy's demeanour still appeared somewhat frightened but he certainly remained focused and listened to the deathly whispers.

Within the host a stirring mind awoke and started to come towards the surface instead feeling the tenacity and power pouring from the giant of a man that now stood before them, yes it seemed Yoshimitsu sparked an interest within this new Kage and could sense that there was something about him that reached out beyond the grim reaper likeness which was probably the strong elemental link due to the man's very special body.

In any case the masked girl from before was finally introduced to the pair as a kind of spirit sealing expert that would be helping them collect three elemental spirits which sounded quite exciting and cleared the air a bit, helping Nishiki calm down a little and feel more at ease especially since this Wei person reminded him of this older lady who was one of his guards though she was more like a retired shinobi pulled in to help look out for the new genma host at the time and he wasn't sure she was even with him these days as his guard detail got lower and lower.

When the gallant and graceful Naohiro was tossed the files on the mission it was instinct to instantly move over to take a gander at the details and so the fox coyly leaned over to look and read it for himself, his right index finger coming up towards his lips as her curiously perused them and noted each of the types and places which sounded like a grand adventure he had yet to have a chance to ever do before.
"Lightning, fire and wind?" he questioned curiously, noting to himself how he seemed to perfectly counter each of them with the elements he had learned most from his training as a jinchuuriki, which made sense if Kasai had been keeping an eye on him though he could potentially beat any at this point.
"Is it just these three?" he then asked, seemingly getting used to the deathly aura of their leader now but still a little nervous and cautious.

Naohiro spun suddenly to face the voice by the window in the waiting area, eyes widening slightly as the masked figure—a slender young woman—announced that they could enter the Kage’s office. Where had she come from? In from the window, perhaps? He thought he’d noticed everyone on their way up to the office, and the only other person—the Chuunin by the door—had just taken her leave. His surprise was foolish; of course the Kage would have more security than that, but it was still a little unsettling to be addressed by someone when you thought the room was clear. He brought a hand up to double-check his hair again as he followed the woman through the door and into the office. Best to assume someone was always watching here.

What struck him first upon entering the office was the immediate contrast to the last time he’d stood here, under Kyuo Kai’s tenure. Gone were the huge aquariums and other furniture that had decorated the room previously. Where Kai’s office had been perhaps a bit too extravagant, Kasai’s preference obviously lay in the opposite direction. Stark and businesslike. No mess. Then Nao’s eyes fell on the man himself—and the chilling, soul-piercing gaze that he drilled into the two newcomers. It filled him with a sense of immediate dread, amplifying his earlier apprehension until he could feel the bile rising in his throat. He masked any reaction by dropping into a bow before the new Kage. Perfect and practised. If there was one thing Naohiro could do well, it was a bow that made the attempts of most nobles look like peasants fighting for scraps in the dirt. He opened his mouth to introduce himself, only to remain speechless as the other ninja beat him to the mark.

A Jinchuuriki host? Still horizontal to the ground, Nao shot a bewildered glance at the other boy to his side. Him?! But he’s… so… He hesitated. What should a Jinchuuriki be like? In truth he had no idea what to expect, but a nervous, jumpy boy his own age wasn’t it. Suddenly he remembered his situation and, as soon as Nishiki had finished, followed with his own introduction.

”Aisu Naohiro, reporting for duty, Sir.” He didn’t need to blab on about his house or his blood. The Clan name was enough to cover such credentials, and more.
Upon rising he saw Kasai standing in all his height, towering over them. The desk which had seemed vast upon entering the room now looked like a toy before the Mizukage, and if he wanted, the man could probably swat it aside like a leaf on the wind. He exuded a chilling aura, as if his will alone could kill them if he so desired. They were nothing to him. He was certainly not a kage to cross. And yet, the display of innate strength was actually a little inspiring to Naohiro; this man would be a leader to inspire obedience and action in his supporters. A little fear in the mix was as reasonable a motivator as anything.

It took some effort to tear his eyes away from the Kage as the third member of their team, Wei, was introduced. She was the assistant from earlier, now unmasked, who moved so quietly and seemed to have the uncanny ability to hide anywhere. He’d totally forgotten about her as soon as he’d spotted Kasai. Their orders came next—the Kage was straightforward in his instructions, which Nao appreciated, and the reason for Wei joining them as a Tenkujutsu specialist became clear. He caught the folder and began examining the pages in earnest, angling the file so that his new comrades could read too once he noticed Nishiki leaning in for a look.

He took his time looking over the details, rereading each slip of paper until he had them committed to memory. Nishiki’s questions raised an eyebrow; his tone seemed to suggest that “just these three” would make for an easy assignment. That made him either particularly skilled, arrogant, or foolish. He eyed the other boy briefly before turning to put his own questions to the Kage. The file was informative, but left certain details jarringly absent.

”Can we assume that these spirits are wild, Sir?” He hesitated, then clarified, ”or are we likely to have to… acquire them from existing hosts, or other countries?” It went without saying that the success of the mission would be paramount in any circumstance, but if their assignment took them behind enemy lines it would do well to be prepared to act both inconspicuously and with force. ”And how are we to recognise the spirits—Wei, I assume that’s part of your skillset?”

He fought down the dozen other questions he wanted to aim towards Nishiki, the Jinchuuriki. Those could come later. If they were to work together, Nao needed to know what the other boy was capable of, and how. Knowledge on the Genma was closely guarded in Kirigakure, and this would be his first time encountering anything more than rumour…

The man glanced over both of them, the genma host was rather flamboyant to say the least with his appearance and the mannerisms in which he took several seconds to spill out this dragged out introduction of his clan and bloodline, even boasting about the spirit within him. This caused for the large man to cast a sideways glance towards the Tsukino momentarily but after the other shinobi went through the brief introduction now he had cast over the folder which contained only a it of basic information about the general location which the Kiri intelligence network had provided. A hint of a smile worked its way onto the corner of the bearded man's face at the questions from Naohiro. One seemed over confident and the other questioned...perhaps they would balance one another out well.

"It is rare for spirits to still be able to exist naturally in the human world any more, each of these have been sealed within host..." The man paused for a moment to glance over towards the female who he'd summoned to help out in this mission due to her skills in Tenkujutsu. Then he glanced his golden gaze back over onto the village's genma host while continuing to smirk now. "However, none of them are genma, of course." He didn't bother explaining his last words as he obviously knew that a genma would be well to guarded to send a pair of rookie shinobi, in his eyes, to capture one of them. That would have been something he would have taken care of personally or tasked one of the other bannin level shinobi in the village with. "These are rogue shinobi from three villages, taking care of trash like them is the duty of a shinobi. But you goal is to capture and return them to the village, not kill."

This task was something that he would rarely give, but for his own reasons the old man needed these spirits brought back to the village. What he wouldn't tell the two young men before him was that he planned on having more experienced Tenku user's actually release these beasts. Kasai wanted to use his Dao of Elements to absorb each of the spirit's inner elemental essence to empower himself and his Dao cores. This would be the culminating event in the man's life of elemental ninjutsu advancement...something that he hadn't even been forced to reveal against Kai and would hopefully remain his true trump card of hidden strength. But those thoughts were for another time as he would have to rely on others to help him gather the needed resources for his ascension due to his current billet and the needs of the village preventing him from leaving except on official business between Iwa and Kiri as he was attempting to improve the allies relationship as well as discuss future plans.

For now, the two men and the young woman in front of him would have to be enough to get the job done as he'd already tasked out two other teams to search out one earth spirit and one water spirit host. These tasks also served to help the Kage evaluate the marks given by those who had worked with and trained the shinobi he'd called upon. Success was the only thing the old hunter-nin cared about as he began to speak once more. "The fire and wind hosts travel together, they are a couple who tried to escape the lives of shinobi...but we can truly never escape our pasts. They are able to work in tandem and reinforce one another but are only around the same level as yourselves. Though the lightning spirit host is a loner but his strength is a bit above your three individually."

After answering the first set of questions from the boy the man paused to let the information soak in for a moment before his deathly whisper like voice once more seeped out into the room. "And yes, Wei is a Tenku specialist who will help you contain and weaken any spirit user in order to assist in capturing them." As he spoke the tall man he glanced over and nodded to the young woman now who bowed to her Kage and then spoke to the two companions she would be working with. "I am glad that I can assist in this mission." Her voice was very soft and but her words were almost sharp to the ears, seeming to be the typical Kiri shinobi as she lifted her head from the slight bow.

[PB] A Mizukage's Tasker

Nishiki listened as his new Aisu teammate asked more questions, then he listened further as their Kage explained the details in his usual ghostly tone which still sent some shivers down the boy's back even if he was getting used to it but nonetheless he took in all the details.
"Hmm... Jinchuuriki" he thought to himself, a little disappointed at not getting to see wild spirits but also intrigued about seeing other hosts and if they where anything like he who held a genma within.
"Wait, rogue ninja from other villages?" he then further thought, holding back from saying out loud as it felt like he would be questioning the Mizukage's motives if he did but he was truly curious why Kirigakure would want to deal with such people, then again he supposed it did not matter and even preemptively striking down a missing ninja was well within reason and they probably had special skills like himself that the village could decipher even if they weren't genma level beings.

After they had gone through what seemed to be all the details, the young Tsukino gave a little nod as a grin spread across his face and he spoke out with a bit of glee as he seemed to almost forget who the man before them even was.
"Sounds like fun" he cheerfully commented, pausing as the chill filled him once more "Er and we will do our best to capture them sir!" he swiftly added with a tone of respect.
That being said it was the truth and he loved the idea of not only leaving the village but doing so on such an exciting mission involving hunting deplorable individuals, though of course they would not be able to do it without their third introduced team member and as such he turned towards her with his now polite smile.
"Also nice to meet you Wei, I'm sure we can work well together in taking these guys down" he welcomed her and further promised to do a pleasing job, seemingly hiding any remaining nerves quite well by this point.

[PB] A Mizukage's Tasker

Naohiro’s face was still as he processed the Mizukage’s answers, cataloguing all of the information together in his mind. That seemingly simple trick, one he’d learned as a child, had helped him become the shinobi he was today; information was never useless, and always bore remembering. He nodded as the kage spoke, but froze mid-motion as the man mentioned that their targets were actually rogue ninja.

”Understood,” he said slowly, then turned his head to meet the kage’s eyes with his own. Golden death and piercing ice, both hard. ”but when you say rogue ninja…” his hands subconsciously clenched into fists in his lap, ”Are any of them from Kirigakure?” Disapproval—no, loathing—dripped from his words. Dissension and the abandonment of ones duty and responsibility evidently did not sit well with the young Aisu.

After a long moment he looked away and towards Nishiki, and a fragment of the fox-boy’s smile found its way to Naohiro. ”I agree, this will be fun.” But the grin he bore said nothing of amusement.

”Where do we begin, Sir?”

[PB] A Mizukage's Tasker

Kasai couldn't help but notice the look upon the Naohiro's face at the mention of if any of the host's were from their own village, a slow smirk drew up onto the left corner of the bearded man's thin lips now as he glanced over towards the lone female and then back onto the group of young men before him. "Actually yes, the couple were former Mist shinobi who broke the code of the shinobi. Do as you wish with them once you capture them but they must be brought back alive for the needs of the village." While he didn't go into detail about these so called needs in the moment, one could put two and two together to figure out just what he meant. Those who were chosen to become the host of a spirit were hand picked and groomed tools for the village during a time of war, something that might be closer than anyone expected. Conflict and strife were after all the nature of man and beast, some of the shinobi of Kirigakure could be considered both perhaps...

As the tailed fox in the room spoke about doing their best he simply nodded and spoke with his whisper like voice in the kids direction now, "Of course you will, the punishment for failure would not be...'fun', as you put the mission." A casual threat of punishment for the genma host was tossed out as though he was punishing some random genin. It would seem that in the eyes of the new Kage, few had earned his respect just yet and all were simple tools that either performed or were thrown away and replaced with new, shaper ones. Performance was everything to the old man, if one couldn't handle the duties of a shinobi then they didn't deserve the prestigious title of a Hidden Mist ninja or the head band each of them wore ever so proudly. With a playful smile he turned to Wei, "You three will form a team for the remainder of the time needed to complete the mission. As soon as all members of the group are ready to depart head for the western dock on the Water country shoreline."

Pausing for a minute he looked back over the group of promising young shinobi, a nod of approval for them before the Kage would continue to speak to them for a few moments longer. "A navy boat has already been arranged and should be ready to depart by this afternoon. That is all, be on your way." And just like that the old man lifted one of his gloved hands and literally performed a 'shooing' motion towards the kids in front of him before turning to go back about his business. After all the mountain of paperwork on the elegantly carved desk wasn't going to take care of itself sadly. Letting out a sigh the man only had to take a few large strides before he disappeared back behind the mound of different forms and scrolls that had piled up. Had this really become his life? It was a sad day for the old warrior...

[PB] A Mizukage's Tasker

"Mist shinobi?" Nishiki pondered to himself, thinking it made more sense to go after such people now not that he was truly against taking on other rogue shinobi but it sounded more well suited to the village to take out ones own.
Though as he pondered such a thing he felt the full tingling feeling of shivers down his spine as Kasai brought up possible punishment, making the boy gulp a little as the full extent of fear pulsed through him once again such as he was starting to get used to such a frightening man but nonetheless he knew he would do his utmost to meet his standards and so he quietly nodded once the shiver passed.

Once the Mizukage finished explaining the remaining details about their boat and then shooed them away, the fox began to calm back down again as he backed out of the room with a bow and saw the giant man shrink back down behind his desk full of papers.
"Phew..." he quietly sighed of relief once they where freed of the reaper's presence and finally moved onto the task at hand.

With that the young jinchuuriki gave a polite nod to his new comrades before heading off to prepare, thinking of all the things he may need and psyching himself up for the mission before meeting back up on the boat once afternoon came around.
