The post that Kenta took more than a while getting acquainted with was common with martial artists - it had protrusions of wood at complicated angles all around and was intended to be used as a hand-to-hand striking dummy. Kenta frowned at the thing, as if upset with it, and then approached it slowly, winding up his shield and then smashing it into the base of one of the protrusions.
The shield dented itself into the wood at least an inch deep and became stuck, and that infuriated him even more, so he spent a few seconds tugging at the thing to get it dislodged. He then tossed the supposedly 'prized' item over his shoulder without a second thought about how its landing would go. He'd then sweep downwards with his arms, assisting the momentum of his leg as his heel went to collide with the very top protrusion. "Hei-yah!" He'd yelp in an over-emphasized and high-pitched squeal.
His foot hit its mark, and he quickly scurried backwards, and resumed a trained, yet basic offensive stance. His shoulders and hips were only a bit too squared to any knowledgeable onlookers. Sweat began to mark Kenta's bronze skin and glow radiantly like he was covered in oil. He focused on steadying his breathing and lowering his BPM as a previous instructor had guided him to, but clearly he didn't have the exceptional stamina he wish he did. He crossed his brows as if he had a beef with the wooden form, and looked as if he was about to lunge back into another melee with the dummy.
D-Ranked Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite: [Rigid Structure]
The user takes a stable stance with their arms wide and their legs slightly past their shoulders. They are turned slightly so either shoulder is facing their opponent. This stance offensively emphasizes powerful sweeping blows that are designed to break bones and cause great damage while defensively the stance focuses on resilience and forcing through to cause your own strikes to land through theirs.
