[Mission] One beer for the Kid

Post by Yaku Fushinkou » Sat Dec 18, 2010 10:44 pm

The bar was a little empty today and probably only a handful of people were sitting and drinking. This was unusual for the establishment, but it didn't matter. Only one person mattered and he sat by another shady figure in one of the stools by the bar. He had very long black hair and a small Kirigakure symbol was etched into the back of his blue shirt. A glass of beer was in his grip and he periodically took a sip. There was another free stool next to the man, but there was also a table behind him as well.

The bartender seemed pretty tired and was propped up in one of the chairs in the far corner. The other patrons were just as careless and inattentive. This was a very relaxed evening.

Kohachi sauntered into the bar, strutting as inconspicuously as he could through the dimly lit tavern. Scattered around in the alcohol-stained tables were various patrons that seemed as if they were frequenters of the establishment. The young man, whose height and build allowed him to pass as a year or two older than he actually was, narrowed his eyes as he found the target that he had been sent to talk to. The insignia etched into the bold blue shirt was the tell-tale sign and Kohachi managed his way around the empty tables and stools to find one directly next to the man. Without a single word, he sat down and simply looked forward, as if he didn't notice the person next to him.

"Communishm!" The man roared as he took another large gulp from his glass mug. His mouth hung open and his eyes slowly drifted to the kid next to him. His face brightened up and he looked oddly delighted to see you. He slammed the glass mug onto the table with a large grin and extended a hand.

"Now now... whose we got here? Whatz yer name son?"

The shady figure to the far left looked slightly disgusted and not nearly as delighted. He was much more sober than his friend and had instantly became quiet at your arrival.

A slurred words flew from the man's crass mouth, sputtering a little liquid down his face as if it were the word attempting to leave. Kohachi took no notice to it, but merely nodded vigorously in what could only be interpreted as agreement. His own hand met that old man's and he prepared for a hearty shake. Deepening his voice only a little bit, Kohachi replied, "Nakamuro, Eiji! Fisherman by trade." He had a ruse prepared from the get-go, attempting to internalize everything that was happening. There didn't seem to be many people, and everyone kept their throat-warming cheer. Well, except for one man. Kohachi acted as if he didn't notice, but being that it was nearly in front of his face, it was hard to not observe the odd change in attitude.

"Heh eh, callsh me Lukerid," the drunkard heartily introduced as he ignored the handshake and swatted the kid playfully on the back. His eyes were heavily fixated on the kid, never failing to keep a joyful face. His mouth quivered with a smile and he lazily wiped a bit of drooling alcohol from his chin. Disgusting.

"Ya luuk a little young for a bar eh?"

The shady figure looked annoyed and his eyes narrowed at his drunken friend. He didn't like intrusions.

"Lukerid, don't get distracted."
He warned testily as he pulled on the mans shoulder. He was cloaked heavily in a thick blue uniform and his face was halfway hidden by a draping hood. He looked tired and deeply irritated. His hand was gripped tightly around a mug of water. Not an ounce of alcohol.

"You still have yet to tell me what you did with the stash."

A soft cough left the young man's lips as the smack on the back landed. The man had quite the heavy hand on him, though his drunken slurred and friendly demeanor meant that he was probably not going to be hostile for any reason. After their quick exchange of names, the genin's age had come into question, which was something that was expected. The fair-skinned young man didn't seem like he would've belonged in such an establishment, and in fact, he somewhat abhorred the place. Most of the village scum liked to hang around these parts, which is the main reason why he was even here in the first place.

It wasn't moments later when another man interjected into the conversation. Apparently Kohachi was disturbing something. Perhaps it was just the something he had been waiting for. He nonchalantly pulled out a quick notepad from his pocket with a pen following soon afterwards. A few quick scribbles later, the words 'Fishing Shipment' could he read from even the grumpy man's spot. The words then became underlined and he began writing, "Shipment to be picked up...," stopping before he could write down a location. His eyes wandered through the air, peering at the countless bottles behind the bar.

"Relaxsh.. relax and have some beer." Luketrid smiled as he let out a loud belch. The man was perfectly fine with his own filth and he happily yanked the mug right from the bar and downed the rest of the glass. A loud -clank- resonated from the wood as he slammed it back down. Whatever the shady guy wanted... Luketrid didn't care. The drunkard was more interested in you and making friends. That wasn't good.

The hooded figure frowned and sighed softly to himself.

The grotesque mannerisms that were being displayed were simply disgusting, but Kohachi ignored them as he attempted to pose a question to the drunken man. There was no flow of information coming out of either of them and he needed to make sure that he could spot the leak. A quick flick of his pen and a chin rub later, he looked at the man, almost forgetting his name and asked, "If you were to ship something here to Kiri, where would you dock it? I mean, there are a few docks that I really like to use, but it's hard because sometimes people steal the fish that I have stored near there. Being able to store your things without having to worry about people taking them is such a good feeling." He rambled somewhat, but there was enough of a conversation starter without getting too conspicuous.

"Haha! A good placesh? Up by the western docks aye ish by far the best. Go aroundsh back in the C-section and hidezz them in the garages with the silk," he paused momentarily to fill up his mug once more. "No onez gets a loook!" His words had became even lazier. If such as thing was possible. The drunk seemed finished, but the other figure was just getting started.

"Is that where you stashed it?!" The hooded man piped up urgently as he heard his friend talk. His eyes had turned from mild annoyance to eager surprise. "Please tell me tha-"

"Yeah, yeah. Dun't worry. itsh all there"

Looking good. The only thing missing was the shady figures name. This wouldn't be complete until a definite name was issued. The beer was running dry and the Luketrid was getting anxious to leave.

He caught the unease of the two men, at least in terms of speaking about their 'business'. Kohachi was getting a little uncomfortable about the situation anyways, feeling like he was getting involved with something that was far beyond his head. The office had sent him on this mission, so perhaps it wasn't as dangerous as he perceived it to be. In an attempt to finish the conversation quickly, he begin blathering about like some eager fisherman.

"Wow! That's a great idea! Thanks you two for helping me out. My boss is totally going to give me a promotion. It was great meeting with you Mr. Lukerid!" Kohachi would've attempted a handshake, but something told him that the motor functions of the man would've failed him. He then turned to the other man, extending a warm look before offering his hand for a shake. "I never caught your name sir. Nakamuro Eiji," he said warmly, hoping to learn the name of the man who had been eager to learn the location of whatever stash had been held by the western docks.

"Thats none of your bussiness-" The shady figure began, but was quickly interrupted by his loud mouth friend.

"JAGEN! Hish names Jagen Myoki!"
the drunken dolt proudly introduced as he slapped the sixteen year old on the back once more. "Don't be shy, Jage." His eyes seemed somewhat glossy and he wobbled as he stood, but Luketrid was in good spirits.

"We being takens off, son. Careful now."

Jagen seemed highly annoyed, but helped his friend to his feet. He was in a hurry to leave just as much as Luketrid was. The two would exit the bar moments later with Jagen repeatedly telling him to shut up. What a duo.
