[Graded][Closed] What's a Drink?

Post by Willoria » Mon Jan 09, 2017 7:37 pm

It wasn't unusual for Yuri to crave a drink, and honestly it didn't even take a hard day to cause such a craving. Today it was more like she craved the violence that was sure to come, ad the Bloodriver Bar was notorious for it. She wore the same as she always did as she entered, even keeping her weapons about her. The large glave resting at her lower back naturally caught attention, and not just for the size of the weapon, it was also due to the simple fact of who Yuri was. Her name, and nickname, had gotten around a long time ago.

She made her way to the bar and ordered a simple drink, smiling behind her mask as it was slid to her. She didn't remove the balaclava to drink, instead slipping the glass beneath it to sip at the warm sake in order to keep her face hidden.

She knew she wasn't the only well known face in the place that night, further down the bar she had seen a member of the main family of the Karagata, it was Shiv himself, a bannin whose name she had heard time and again. The woman simply smirked behind her mask. Knowing the man's reputation she wondered if she should bother to make a move, or should she let him make the move himself?

Shiv cackled menacingly from across the room. What had he just laughed at? As you can probably already guess, the man wasn't alone. When one glanced upon the villain he was besieged by a broad assortment of scum. The champion of the village was seated at a table reserved for 'VIP' guests. There was quite the cast of people settled here in an attempt to bask in his fame. Being left alone when you had Shiv's reputation was completely asinine, especially in Kirigakure no Sato. Nobody with that much renown was allowed to simply walk into one of the most popular bars in the village and have a quiet evening. That was a cold hard fact. Actually, the only way to be left alone was forcefully encouraging people not to approach, but what would be the reasoning to shove these fine people away? They were practically throwing themselves at the champion.

Surely Shiv hadn't the slightest care for them, however, they provided him with much-needed drink and entertainment. The look on Shiv's face was quiet gay as you could tell he had been drinking for hours now. That laugh from a moment ago has been brought on by a hilarious story some ninja had told the group, but you literally had to have been there to appreciate the comedic value of what had just been said. Or... was the requirement actually being drunk enough to understand the simplicity of what was said? The conversation of the mad some would say. The dress of Shiv was of his casual attire. There was no need for any combative gear. For who in their right mind would openly challenge the man in the heart of Kirigakure? Few if any...

Lifting a rather large jug of sake to mouth, Shiv immediately chugged what was left before yelling obnoxiously, "SAKE!"

Right after the words had left Shiv's mouth a roaring cheer came from all those around his person. The waitress hurried to fetch another drink before those in attendance shifted their attention to more rowdy business. Those surrounding the champion weren't the most honest looking folk. Upon closer inspection, one would easily be able to tell that this wasn't the most classy entourage. The majority of these people were from the docks, poor people from one of the lower castes who utterly fell into the propaganda of celebrating their village celebrities. Then again, those are the people that Shiv was most at home with since their family had come from such humble origins as well.

Even with being under the influence, Shiv hadn't missed the vixen who had entered this hive of scum. 'Hirehito, Yuri', the name seemed to vaguely cross the mind. Had that name been brought up in conversation once or twice? Honestly, Shiv didn't have an ounce of knowledge about who this person was or what their story was, but they were apart of one of the big five, meaning they weren't exactly nobody. However, were they worth his time or would they end up being just another tease? While Shiv contemplated this those around continued their merry time of doing whatever they wanted. The eye's of the man ever so slightly followed the Hirehito almost as if to give her the sign to approach when ready. That is if she was interested.

Hmph, what an unusual looking weapon... few people are confident and or competent enough to make use of a glave as their primary weapon of choice. What did this say about the girl? Could mean she is ambitious, looking to make a name for herself in this vast ocean of shoddy ninja? Possibly. Obviously, she is one that appreciates the raw feeling of touch, a great sign for later if things got more personal, however, with a weapon like that one has to be a bit, yanno, appreciative toward the intricateness of the glave translating into a more artsy mentality... I don't know if I could work with that honestly, those types were far too much effort for the reward at the end. Then again, I could be thinking too much. What do I know? I'm just a man that revolved his life around weaponry... In any case, coming armed to a bar is usually a good signifier as it often means the person is in search of something or... someone to get a bit 'naughty' with... why else would somebody be in a place like this at a time like this?

Yuri didn't miss the look that Shiv gave her across the room. Even at a table full of people begging for his attention he had still managed to notice the woman eyeing him from the bar, a fact that made her grin beneath her mask though the most that showed visibly was a particular twinkle in the woman's eyes. She motioned to the barkeep and left the coin on the counter as he handed her a bottle of sake as she had silently requested. She made her way towards the table at which he sat, not even bothering to shoulder her way through the crowd that had gathered around the man.

No in fact she didn't have to force her way to him at all, most who turned and saw her quickly stepped out of her path as she stepped to the table. Without a word she took a deep swig of the bottle of sake in her own hand before setting it on the table and sliding it towards Shiv. Some might have seen it as her attempt at an offer to him, but those who knew the world of shinobi and assassins knew this was only a hello, the passing of a drink to show a respect. If Shiv drank of the bottle he accepted her approach, if he returned it, he returned the respect though she had taken the first sip and made the first move to show her own respect for him already.

She noticed more than one female at the table, of the handful there a couple seemed to get wise and move away, but at least one had a jealous look in her eyes that Yuri for now only took note of, and stored away for later. She knew the girl would wind up making a move out of pure jealousy, and whether that ended in a break or a death would be up to the girl and just how stupid she became in her move.

But Yuri's blue eyes remained on Shiv as she smiled beneath her balaclava, a smile that reached her eyes and betrayed the curve of her lips to the world even if they weren't visible. Yet the woman said nothing as the chatter around them started up again, the crowd all desiring Shiv's attention as the woman remained silent, and eyes fixed on the man.

Action, reaction. There we go. Yuki had unintentionally revealed interest through the mostly invisible twinkle in her eyes, that twinkle would never have betrayed her to anybody but Shiv wasn't just anybody. Only those of highest caliber were able to see such subtle changes in the human body. Here was the reaction Shiv had wanted. The simplicity of body language was what made being a ninja all more enjoyable since the majority of people were far too oblivious to the complexity of this sort of communication above that of the acutely obvious. Only those with trained perception would notice these slight gestures. Fortunately, this woman openly took the bait Shiv had put so plainly in the open. Even if that subtle nod of acknowledgment of interest was specifically for her it could have been taken differently depending on the person. A challenge maybe? Then again, who would take up a challenge from a champion of the village without at least being a pure masochist at heart. Grabbing a bottle of sake, this woman moved toward the champion without regarding the worth of those around the man. An act oozing of pure confidence or arrogance. Either would be gladly embraced at this point as Shiv's tastes at the moment were not too particular or picky.

With mouth left open deliberately, barring sharp jagged teeth, Shiv ran a nail along the edge of a canine in contemplation of how to proceed. His right hand still firmly gripped the empty jug of sake he had just consumed while his eyes caressed the form of the woman approaching the table. When she reached the table she made a gesture that was somewhat cute, but far too formal for the mood of the table. Plus, she might have neglected the parts of his reputation that told of his utter disregard for those around him until they proved themselves worth his time or the like. Placing an offering of sake on the table was something the man couldn't resist at the moment. None the less the gesture was taken at face value; a mere sign of respect. Without any regard for the people that had to clean this joint once everybody left, Shiv threw the empty jug backward toward the wall. The deafening sound brought the room to a halt for a moment before he grabbed the jug before him. Bringing it to his mouth he chugged the entirety of whatever was inside before yelling obnoxiously once more, "SAKE!"

The offering pleased the man, Yuki would be able to tell by a subtle change in his own eyes before they focused upon her again. In an overly festive tone which still had a somewhat cold quality, he asked, "So kid, what brings you to the ol'bloodriver bar?"

[Graded][Closed] What's a Drink?

Post by Willoria » Mon Jan 09, 2017 10:48 pm

His point was made, her move was too formal, that or the man was simply too drunk to care to return the bottle. She simply smirked behind her mask as she watched him taking a particular interest in the way the man toyed with his own teeth as he seemed to contemplate the moment. Yuri of course was running her own tongue across her own sharpened teeth behind her mask as he ran his finger across his. It wasn't uncommon for individuals with intentionally remarkable features to have a particular interest in them after all.

As he directed a question at Yuri, she noticed the jealous woman from a moment before was escalating already. Her eyes betrayed the anger, and Yuri had to resist a laugh. She turned and walked around the edge of the table, each person there giving her her space to allow her to do so for the time being. "Interest. Commonality. Does it matter?" she asked him, tilting her head to the side as if being playful, her eyes sparkling even as she got to the girl.

The jealous girl refused to move, standing defiantly between Yuri and Shiv and her hand moving at her belt. Yuri had seen the knife a long time ago and had expected this stupidity. The girl wasn't a shinobi, and she didn't have the talent either. Her hand came up clenching the hilt of the blade and aimed for Yuri's chest. Of course it only took a slight adjustment from Yuri to avoid being hit anywhere vital, and yet still allowing the blade to bite into her flesh.

Yuri laughed.

Not that it didn't hurt, but that it had been completely expected. "You shouldn't tangle with beasts you can't fight, child." she sneered at her, reaching up to pull down her own mask and hissing at the woman as she bared her own sharpened teeth at her.

The girl released the knife and gasped in shock, taking several steps away and now leaving no one between Yuri and Shiv. Yuri turned her eyes to Shiv with a grin.

Shiv watched with interest as the girl responded before slowly moving toward him. What Shiv had not noticed entirely was the jealous woman at the table who had been infuriated by their new company. Surely that would prove to be an eventful encounter? At least it would have been if this jealous person had any formal training in anything combative. The girl looked quite young and you didn't even have to give her a second glance to see that she came from the merchant caste. Nothing about her screamed of importance, as average a person as they came. Unfortunately, this common woman had toyed with the wrong type of person. The Hirohito woman before her was a part of the military caste, killing people was her specialty or at least partly depending on the objective given.

Whatever the case it was almost laughable to see the interaction between these two. What transpired in front of Shiv happened quickly, but the subtle nature of the two didn't go unnoticed by the champion of the village. Each emotion was vivid upon their faces as if in an attempt to seduce those around into the grandeur of such a trivial occurrence. Surprisingly, Yuri allowed the blade to bite flesh. Quite the appetite for the dramatic, Shiv could definitely work with something like that instead of that artsy type he loathed. When it was over the two were left unmolested to talk freely while those around turned their attention back to their own devices clearly leaving the two 'important' people with some slack. Shiv glanced toward to petty wound with interest.

"I would give you the same words of wisdom, child, but you already know of the beast sitting before you, don't cha? So then? Does that make you a fool or just ignorant?" In a serious tone alike that of one investigating a criminal case, the champion broke the silence by asking some rather redundant questions. Had the sake come full circle to the point of making him sound like a broken record?! Always with the same sort of edgy exchange. One of these days the man would have to come out of that shell he had created...

In a more curious yet lighthearted tone which had an ounch of playfulness, Shiv said, "It seems you have been stabbed. I've always had an appetite for your family. Would you mind coming closer so that I may have a taste?"

The knife the other girl had used was small, the blade barely bit it seemed as Yuri reached up with one hand and yanked it out, setting it on the table as Shiv spoke. The woman smirked at him as he asked his question and shook her head. "Neither." she told him. "I simply prefer to entangle myself with such beasts." she told him. "A man's power is what tells who he is, a man without power is no beast, and does not stand out among others. A man who doesn't stand out, isn't worth my time." Though the man's tone had been serious, the one Yuri had returned with was lighthearted and she even grinned at him. She had heard rumors about Shiv, and not just about his work as a shinobi, but the woman chose not to speak of it.

But then he asked a rather odd question, and Yuri tilted her head to the side before stepping closer to him. There was no distance between them now, one of her hands on his shoulder as she looked him in the eyes. "Take what you want." she told him, watching him with an odd look on her face. Her guard wasn't down, the woman watching in case someone else did something like the other girl had. But Shiv's request was even odd to her, though he had the sharpened teeth as she did, she had never heard any rumor to give any indication the man had a literal taste for blood.

At the moment, Shiv wasn't thinking too much about the bigger picture. There was enough stress to deal with without dwelling on consequences and the like. The focus of the man for right now was this new 'toy'. Shiv actually being quite drunk didn't help the matter. For when he got excited like this what came next was purely a product of his inner workings. Something that shouldn't be allowed to fester forth into reality. That isn't to say he didn't have control over his actions. Just that the cloud of intoxication allowed for him to be much more open than usual. Quite the sickening thought as a person with that much power and influence could practically get away with anything, especially here in this shitty excuse for a watering hole. Those that sought this place weren't usually the sanest anyway.

Eyes still full of interest Shiv watched Yuri. She calmly pulled the blade from the inflicted wound right before setting it upon the table within reach of the man. Shiv's right hand seemed to twitch ever so slightly for a moment before slithering forward and grasping the poker firmly between his fingers. He cautiously brought it back toward his person while his eyes focused back onto Yuri. For the moment that followed he took in her response to his questioning. Yuri's answer is exactly what had been expected. That was right in line with what Shiv had wanted. In response, the man said simply, "I think I can understand your reasoning..."

As the response left Shiv's mouth so did more come forward in a timely fashion. This time he had asked another question, but more irregular than the last. Yuri seemed genuinely confused now. What was it that the man wanted out of this exchange? Yuri stepped closer but with that step, there seemed to be some sort of unspoken danger that might have passed over the woman. As a soldier, Shiv was quite harmless for he stayed within the bounds given to him by his superiors, but here outside he was the beast she had exclaimed just a moment before. Shiv titled his head as he lifted the blade to his mouth, allowing the fresh red to glide gently across his tongue. The sharpened teeth seemingly betraying the reality of the moment and the pervertedness prisoned within the skull they protruded from. The words Yuri spoke next had the adverse effect of unlocking these thoughts.

The taste of the blood seemed to curdle Shiv's brain further as the blood beneath his skin began to boil in anticipation for something that wouldn't divulge itself so easily lest those around him discover his true nature. Allowing for the mind to run rampant for the moment Shiv indulged in whatever it could concoct without expressively doing so at the time. In the back of the mind, Shiv hoped he could resist such a tempting offer for once openly accepted there was no telling the consequences that could occur later.

Look at how weak and innocent she looks, it wouldn't hurt to just ravage her right? To watch her cry in pain from what I could put her through... she practically asked for me to do so too. 'Take what you want', whatever I want? Not only does she make this an extremely grueling mental pursuit but she does so without regard for her own safety... why oh why am I burdened by such lovely little creatures each and every day.

Shiv licked the side of his lips before plunging the blade into the table. Regrettably, for Shiv, his body wasn't quite ready to allow his mind to have free reign over reality. Another lousy benefit of years of physical torture through training and combat. Even if the mind deeply desired to have its way with the woman the conditioning the body had learned over the years kept the beast from escaping the prison once more. Frustrated by the situation, Shiv looked at the table for comfort. There sat nothing but that blade, a reminder of his cage. Where was that sake?! Almost angry, Shiv looked around for the waitress. With words that seemed to stab all those around him, Shiv exclaimed loudly, "SAKE!!!"

[Graded][Closed] What's a Drink?

Post by Willoria » Tue Mar 07, 2017 2:12 pm

To anyone one else, any other shinobi even, the entire situation might have felt odd and even far too dangerous. Yuri of course didn't miss the base instinctual alarms going off in her mind as she stepped closer to Shiv, she was a woman who never let her guard down and this was no exception. Yes the man before her was Bannin, he could outmatch her easily, kill her with a twitch of his wrist even before she'd put that blade on the table. But there was something else here, and it was nagging at the woman.

As he licked her blood from the blade she watched the man carefully, and everything he felt in his mind flashed through his body as well. His body language spoke volumes, even before he slammed that blade into the table and yelled for more drink. The man before her wasn't a man at all, and Yuri was beginning to see more and more now how accurate her statements had really been, comparing him to a beast.

Even sitting here drinking before her was no man, he was the beast the village relied on. Yuri herself became a beast on mission, but this was something else entirely. She reached out a hand and touched his wrist gently that had slammed on the table, pulling it away, and without the blade, to rest it on a hip as she leaned down and, if she wasn't stopped by him, kissed him deeply. She wasn't sure at all if this was the sort of beast she should be alone with, but there were ways of testing that limit here in the bar.

After all, if he was only the beast, would even she be able to come out of that without damage? Or still alive for that matter?

The taste of Yuri's blood was still fresh on Shiv's mind. The blood of a Hirohito which also subconsciously translated to the blood of his enemy. That thought burned within his body as his mind flashed through images of that particular night long ago. What Yuri may not have understood earlier about his appetite for her family was that Shiv was almost obsessive in his yearning to utterly slaughter Fushinkou, Yaku. If anything, the girl could be taken exactly the same as that enemy. Ravaging her would be a cheap way at getting back at the man, yet Shiv also knew that the man cared nothing for the village nor the family he belonged too, but why was there this seemingly inherent feeling to just hurt the woman? She hadn't done a thing to offend the champion in the slightest. The waitress looked at their table, frantically, she was starting to worry now. There wasn't any more sake in front and the two busboys were taking far too long to bring up more from the basement. What were they going to do if the champion became violent?! Renovations from last time, somebody from the ninja caste got angry, were out of this world. Fortunately for the staff, it seemed that the female ninja was distracting the champion from his surroundings giving the boys precious time to get that sake!!! Indirect teamwork some may say.

Shiv was clearly agitated at the moment due to the inner workings of his mind. For the moment he was peachy. However, that didn't mean he was out of the forest quite yet. 'Where was the sake?' He thought once more while looking around almost frantically for an excuse to get out of what he had wanted to happen in the first place, but then that thin barrier snapped as Yuri literally threw herself at Shiv. Allowing Yuri to her devices, Shiv basked in what was happening now. All these people around him were being overly useless. Yuri, on the other hand, had the distinct advantage of having something the man needed. If this weren't the village they would have already been in the alley fucking, but here Shiv was expected to be professional or at least civil to the aim of not spitting on the image of Kirigakure. Embracing that kiss, Shiv attempted to pull Yuri downward to take a seat on his lap. Yes, Yuri would make a perfect play 'toy' for tonight. Shiv just needed to keep his hunger at an appropriate level, sniffing the air he took in her scent. In a much more controlled tone, he asked, "So tell me about yourself Hirehito, Yuri... I've seen your profile before, but can't for the life of me recall anything noteworthy. Are you truly worth my time? Or are you just preying upon my inherent weakness for a woman? I've heard the rumors too, I know people are starting to talk about the frequency of women that visit my place. Not the kind of attention a village bannin needs..."

[Graded][Closed] What's a Drink?

Yuri allowed herself to be pulled onto the man's lap, grinning into the kiss though the grin waned a bit as he asked his questions. She couldn't help a chuckle, clearly she knew the rumors as well. "Rumors about me aren't all that different either..." she told him in reply at first. "...but how else is an assassin supposed to practice her seduction, hm?" she added, chuckling once more as she glanced back at the bar, noticing for the first time the way the woman frantically searched for more sake for the man.

"If you actually saw my file you likely saw my nickname, not my real name." she said, suddenly turning a bit serious though she made no move to get off his lap. "Shi no Tenshi." she told him, watching a moment as she waited to see what his reaction would be to this information. "If you've heard of me the only thing that would stand out to you is that we work in similar fields... but are you really going to be offended if a woman seeks you out to see if you really are as fun of a lay as the rumors claim? Or as frightening of one?" She winked with her question, making it unclear if she was being serious, or making a joke at the bannin's expense.

Noticing Yuri's smile disappear was the first sign Shiv had been too formal. Exactly the opposite of what he had just shown earlier with the sake. However, that oversight could be excused due to the level of alcohol swirling around his body. That chuckle that came from her mouth had peeked his desire again. From what Yuri had said, she too was somebody that enjoyed a good lay. Well, who would have thought she was also an aspiring assassin. On the first inspection, she did look the part, but that unique weapon had slightly thrown the champion off of his game. One thing had been correct, she did fancy herself to touching and the like. Shiv couldn't help but follow suit and smile as well. In a casual, yet also slightly amiable tone, Shiv commented, "You're correct, seduction is quite the handy tactic, but I'm not the best candidate to practice upon when all things are considered."

Before Shiv could speak again he was greeted by another answer which was much more serious. 'Shi no Tenshi', that name seemed to spark Shiv's memory on her profile. The champion raised an eyebrow. This Yuri girl had been noteworthy after all. That name roughly translated into the angel of death. Why may you ask? Well, this woman single-handedly took down an entire enemy force without failure. Quite the feat for one so young. To be honest, Shiv hadn't the slightest idea how she took down that force without at least coming home critically injured. Were her skills that advanced or had she seduced every single one of them?! Shiv laughed internally at the thought but chopped that as some kind of fantasy for missions like that were almost always time sensitive. This information made the man want to converse further on the topic, but again, that would be too formal.

So instead Shiv decided to leave that for the moment. In a jesting tone the champion replied, "Well who am I to stop a pretty little number like you from getting what you want..." Shiv looked downward toward his groin area before continuing, "...well if you're so inclined have your way with me... think of it as stealth training, just don't get caught or I will officially be kicked out of this dump..."

Yuri naturally giggled almost coyly as Shiv admitted how seduction could come in handy, and naturally how practicing on him wasn't the best course of action. Of course she knew this, seduction was something either the man wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for, or it wasn't required because he'd happily be swept to near any woman's bed. But as he tried to invite her to a subtle yet public display, the woman's expression turned serious. At first she seemed as if she might comply with the request, shifting so that she straddled him with a leg on either side, leaning forward to kill him deeply. Yet a moment later she broke the kiss roughly, her sharpened teeth dragging lightly across the man's bottom lip, and she stood, lifting herself from him and taking a step away, though a single hand remained on his shoulder.

"You seem to think I'm like any woman that wanders this place." she said seriously, though her eyes seemed to sparkle mischievously. "I'm no prostitute, Shiv. Nor am I that desperate to have you in my skirt." she added. "You have your power and prowess, and I have mine. I'm not going to just subtly ride you here and hope no one notices. If you want me? If you really want me? You'll follow me to my place, or lead me to yours."

Her eyes sparkled like the devil had just dropped a thought in the woman's mind. "If I share a bed with you, it's going to be where I can make noise, and thoroughly enjoy myself." And so she waited to see what the man's response would be.

A smile crept along Shiv's face and Yuri moved into a more suggestive position. From this position, Shiv was able to get a better look at the woman. Structure of her body definitely revealed her focus on physical prowess. However, that wasn't what the champion had noticed first. A rather large scar that crossed her torso from her upper right hand shoulder and down across her body to her left hip was what popped. How did she get a wound like that he wondered internally as she leaned forward to kiss him. Laying back into his chair, the bannin decided he would just sit back and enjoy the ride. Well, until Yuri pulled away. In a serious tone she spoke mischievously. That little trick wasn't what Shiv had expected. Actually he was quite annoyed that she was teasing him now. Obviously she had the upper hand in a normal encounter, but this wasn't your average hook up with a random ninja. The man before her was the embodiment of what the village expected of its ninja. Yuri on the other hand was just another tool to be used by such a powerful man. In a dangerous tone, Shiv replied almost angrily, "That is where you are wrong, if I really want you, I'll have you with or without your permission..."

With the words spoken, Shiv seemed to be motionless for a split second before he instantly appeared standing upright with that blade pushed up against the throat of Yuri. If she was able to maybe she could resist such an action, but the gap between the two would most likely be too much for her to handle. Everyone in the vicinity seemed to freeze at that moment, petrified in fear for their own safety. This was a bannin level ninja capable of uttering destroying a good chunk of the village on a whim. Only thing keeping the man in check was his loyalty to Kirigakure no Sato. Even if everyone here was to band together to attempt to stop the man it would be meaningless as there were few people capable of completing such a task without being injured or worse. The look on Shiv's face was absurdly terrifying as if he wanted to slaughter her in that instant. Having been in combat before, Yuri would immediately probably recognize that staggering, suffocating feeling which was his killing intent. The weight of it had these people around them crushed mentally and physically.

Shiv's eyes looked down into Yuri's for anything, hoping to bring about fear in her. The eyes were wide as if they about to bulge out at any moment. He then leaned down so that their faces were within inches of each other. With the blade still exquisitely latched into position, Shiv slowly revealed his tongue and ran it along her cheek to attempt to taste the woman in her current mental state. That is if she allowed the man to do so, for the truth of the matter was still that they were in the village, thus she was still under the protection of 'him'. What happened next was quite hilarious if you look back at it with another lens! The busboy came charging through the basement door yelling excitedly, "We found sake!!!"

The situation this boy charged into was deathly, but what it did was kill whatever mood had been worked towards. Everyone started to move again but at a ridiculously slow pace. The majority of those here all looked toward the front door as if it was their salvation. Nobody had to say it aloud, but the night was going to end early tonight for these folks who would most likely head to wherever they called home. Shiv lifted the blade and threw it anywhere to his rear before ordering Yuri, "...move toward that back door..."

[Graded][Closed] What's a Drink?

Post by Willoria » Sat Mar 18, 2017 4:03 pm

There was almost nothing in this world that Yuri feared, but there was a single way to make the woman lose herself, as it were, and it was the position Shiv now put her in. No one but Yuri herself knew the story behind her scars, the very ones that Shiv himself had ironically only just noticed and wondered about, and yet here he was putting her mind right back in the same place it had been the day she received the scars. As he suddenly moved and the cold metal of that knife touched Yuri's neck, the woman's eyes seemed to go dead. Those blue eyes that so many found to be both beautiful and expressive were suddenly dull, empty, showing a shell of a woman with nothing to live for. At first she said nothing, her dead eyes staring into his as his physical threat loomed over her.

Her mind was playing out that singular memory, so many bodies and so many corpses already behind her in that cave system it had been the bandit leader who caught her. He had bound her to the bed and dragged his blade over her bare flesh, cutting her just deeply enough to seriously wound her, whispering threats in her ear as he took what he wanted from her, and thrust that blade finally deep into her gut. The source of her inability to bear children was his curse upon her. It had been in that state she had managed to kill him, only because he had been stupid enough to think to leave her alive.

She heard the yell for sake, some part of her knowing a normal woman would have lit up, seeing it as her salvation, but the look in Shiv's eyes was something she was familiar with. The only salvation here would be the moment she took. She pushed against him as that cry had come out, the blade biting her flesh just enough to let a small trickle of blood down her neck. "Without my permission?" she whispered. "You'll only end up fucking a corpse." she told him, still never moving until Shiv removed that blade from her neck.

He may have told her to move towards the back door, but the woman had no intent to do any such thing at this point. Her eyes taking on a threat of their own as life returned to her, a clear sign of her intent to die before being defiled ever again, she stepped away and went straight for the main door. "Find yourself another whore." she told him as she left the bar.

Yuri was completely ravaged from that. Her eyes were left lifeless as if she had just given up on life. There she stood motionlessly for the moment simply allowing Shiv to run his tongue across her cheek suggestively before he returned to the proximity they had been at a second ago. Nothingness seemed to echo from Yuri's being as Shiv felt a tingle run from the base of his spine upward. The champion savored the taste of the woman while continuing to examine her. What was she thinking right now? Shiv wondered almost excitedly. Had this encounter opened up something that had been surpressed or had she just been so mentally weak to have sucucmbed to his massive killing intent... Yes, this is what the man had craved for. Over the years, Shiv had developed a taste for the hunt which eventually translated into his ambitious nature of taking control over the hunting organization of the village. That allowed him to relieve his itch for quite awhile molding him into a fine piece of weaponry, but at this level there were few that even scratched that addiction anymore. An addiction that wasn't being fed was still a dangerous thing for it meant that something would eventually fill that void.

For Shiv this had been his insatiable hunger for the opposite sex. There was nothing that came close to degrading these weak little play things. For him, they were but objects for his amusement. Doing whatever he had wanted with them had become quite the vice indeed. However, that part hadn't become all too apparent to the public yet as he was quite the intimidating figure now. People that spoke of his apparent lunacy were often greeted with violence or worse. How had this happened?! Wasn't the village charged with controlling somebody like Shiv? Who watched those that watched over the village? The Mizukage? Nope, the man was far too busy with the day to day operations of the village. In reality, the enviroment in Kirigakure was perfect for concealing a monster. As long as one got their shit done, barely anyone would bat an eye. Craziness unseen by the common folk, but all too real for those in the know. Unfortunately, not everyone had met the reality of the current situation. There were still people like Yuri who hadn't the slightest clue of what could happen here in the village.

With the situation becoming interrupted by the sudden announcement, Yuri took advantage and answered weakly. What she had said peaked Shiv's curiosity, a least a corpse was still useful for that purpose. Most likely the situation wouldn't escalate to that point as Shiv was still partly in charge of this different mentally ill side of himself, but as each day passed he was slowly losing the battle against whatever darkness resided within. Another annoying thing about Kirigakure, the village provided a seemingly perfect place for darkness to fester and become actualized. An interesting viewpoint into why so many people eventually turned away from the village to pursue their own vices and the like. People from here became selfish and narcissistic, especially if they were the ninja who were celebrated as the best people alive. What kind of village was this?! How had this village survived for so long without becoming devoured by itself? The answer was simple, the village allowed people to explore their vices freely as long as they swore fealty to the very thing that quenched the thirst of so many people. A giant dealer, taking advantage of the strong to maintain absolute order.

"Oh? Did you assume that to be a mere suggestion?! You know what... That is ok, I can forgive your confusion for the moment. For this is quite the stressful situation. Maybe, you haven't truly felt the power of somebody like me..." Shiv said mockingly as he watched Yuri move toward the front door where many were already attempting to reach. There was a sort of sarcasm in his voice that suggested that the champion was enjoying this encounter more so now. The people that had flocked around the champion earlier looked away now attempting to remain unnoticed by the beastly individual who was clearly hungry for his next meal. Even if they had disapproved of this, what power had they to stop this. Everyone was at the mercy of this lunatic. For it was power that ruled the village.

A second later, Shiv continued coldly, "Actually that is a wrong assumption on my part, the reality is you've never seen anyone like me before or you would have known better than to speak to me with such disregard. No matter, you're forgiven for now. So back to the business at hand... move toward the back door now... I have something special in mind for us tonight." From that tone Yuri would be able to tell he wasn't joking anymore. This man wasn't to be taken lightly in the slightest. This already tense situation was just getting even more tense with each passing second. What could Yuri do to resist such an order without pushing the man to use force instead of plain intimidation? Time was ticking now. Yuri seemed to be in quite the dangerous predicament that called for her to use all those years of training and experiance. However, would that be enough to sate this hunger?

She didn't respond to him, not even to his orders to move to the back door. The woman's desire for this games hadn't just waned, it was gone entirely. Her mind now was on the simple thought of get out, or die trying. Her mind was made up that if the man tried to have her for himself now, she'd sooner put her own glave through her chest. The memories pulled at her as she walked, that mission in the cave, she had killed so many men only to be taken captive by one so very much worse. He had bound her, he had defiled her, and marked up her body like his toy. The only reason she had survived was he had been dumb enough to think he could leave her alive after doing so much to her.

Shiv's actions had pushed those memories to the front now, and even as she walked her hand slid to her back and drew her glave in hand, spinning lightly in her right hand as she forced herself to stay aware of her surroundings and moved towards the door. "I told you to find another whore." she called back to him. "I meant it, you won't have me tonight." Her voice was cold, and her body ready to act if it had to.

Even if that act would end her own life.

Yuri seemed to be in quite the dangerous predicament that called for her to use all those years of training and experience. However, would that be enough to sate this hunger?

No, all of that training and experience was for naught as Yuri's body betrayed her revealing the utter state of disarray within. When one first looked at the woman they would have seen a strong individual who had been through the worst of it and came out on top. A person that exemplified the true meaning of being a soldier trudging through anything in their way. But, on this night those in attendance saw somebody completely different. Yuri had been thoroughly ravaged after getting a glimpse of the reality of the village around her. Who would have thought that a veteran ninja like Yuri would be so vulnerable? However, who could blame her after coming out of a traumatic event like the one she survived so long ago. Then again, tragic backstories were a dime a dozen in this village. People either rose above their predicament or succumb to it and fade into obscurity.

When it came down to it, Shiv was just a typical tool that had far too many drinks that night. Was this the reality of the champion or an illusion created without the usual restrictions that kept the mind from wandering indiscriminately. With the latter being the truth of the matter, who was actually capable of controlling those that ascended to that of a godly figure? When an individual with that sort of power felt real human emotions, was that not what was intended already? Or had the ambition of ninja in general created something unnatural for this world. Maybe ninja were not meant to be. Who in their right mind would willingly create such destructive beings while also giving them the ability to feel. A question to be pondered upon another time. For in this instance, we still had a dangerous situation to take care of. What would happen now?

Shiv had gone beyond what many could achieve with his physical prowess, so he didn't have to even look hard at Yuri to understand what she was going through internally. This reaction was exactly what the champion had been looking for. To see somebody squirm beneath the weight of his power. At least that is what the champion had been thinking while watching her attempt to escape the room. He then started to cackle horrifically as the woman walked away toward the door. All the people in the tavern were still quietly making their own attempts to leave when he turned and sat down with a disgusting look plastered upon his face. If he had pushed any harder the woman would probably crack completely and Kirigakure didn't need yet another useless weapon. For what would be the point in that if only to forge somebody stronger, but this wasn't the time nor the place to teach the woman about anything of worth, especially since she chose to run rather than the alternative...

A pity, Shiv had really thought Yuri was capable of going toe to toe with him, alas the difference in their level meant that just wasn't possible right now. In the end, she wasn't worth his time after all. Fortunately Yuri was still young and would have ample opportunity to toughen up to the world around her. Reality was yet another part of whole picture. Overcome yourself, overcome your enemies. Shiv turned his head slightly back toward the bar, his eyes flashed with an intensity for a brief second before glazing over. The soldier had regained control over the scene. Almost angrily, Shiv looked around for the waitress. With words that seemed to stab all those around him, Shiv exclaimed loudly, "SAKE!!!"

That busboy rushed forward now, not wanting to further cause any sort of irreparable damage. The task had been that of the waitress, but she was limp and dazed upon her knees looking into space as if contemplating how this whole thing would end. So, in essence, the lone busboy had saved the day! Wherever the other lad hid was another trivial matter that wouldn't be questioned too much considering the circumstance. Once the boy reached Shiv, he put out his arms with a giant bottle of the drink in question. Sweat dripped down the brow of the boy as he also pondered if this would be his last moment. There were so many things the boy had wanted to do...

Before the boy could think further on the matter, Shiv grabbed the sake and slowly began to sip at it while generally moving back to how he had been before Yuri had entered the bar. Relief washed over all those in the bar. They had just survived what could have been an absolute slaughter, yet now they were able to tell the tale to the people close to them. Obviously the story would change to be a much more positive one. If they conveyed the truth then the grand illusion wouldn't be quite as effective as everyone thought. Nationality, etc. Whatever you want to call it. Like a spat between lovers, this wasn't a story for everyone. However, the chance to be near to a celebrity was quite the story indeed! By this time, Yuri probably had left now leaving the bar much the same as it was before. Some of the people even stayed to continue with their vices and the like.

[Graded][Closed] What's a Drink?

Despite forcing herself to remain completely aware of her surroundings, Yuri never looked back. Her hand tightened on the grip of her glave so tightly her knuckles had gone white, but she forced herself to not look back. In truth the woman had endured a great deal in her time, and come out on top. But even she had been woefully unprepared to face such a thing when it came to her fellow shinobi. She had especially never expected a man who had achieved Bannin to be in such a way.

'I will never let myself become like him.' she swore to herself in silence as she stepped out of the door of that bar and her glave clicked back into place on her back. 'There has to be a way to put a stop to this, shinobi are famous in this village, looked up to by every citizen... they should not be like this. Fear of our protectors should not exist to this degree.'

Somehow the encounter that had put an old fear into Yuri that she had not felt in a long time, was also planting a seed. A seed that could die, or it could grow, and only time would tell.
