(limit 1) there have been strange rumors of a bad scent that has lasted in the archives of the library for quite some time. Investigate and clean up whatever is making this bad smell. The librarians have checked the shelves, the carpet, and the vents for the cause of this, and believe it to be supernatural in cause.

It was because she was so hard at work that when she set the crucible down and looked over at the table she had missed the messenger. There was a scroll with her name on it sitting on the work desk next to her. Removing the heavy leather smithing gloves which served to keep her mother from tanning her hide and making it into something more useful because she was always hurting herself in one way or another in the forge, or so she said, she opened the scroll and scanned through it.
"Another mission from mother. You know, she could just give these to me herself." She shook her head. Then again, if it was going to be funded by Iwagakure no Sato's coffers, it had to be official. Kanade was out there, investigating and putting together these missions, assigning them to people. She obviously thought that Atsuko had little else to do.
Atsuko ran a hand through her hair, revealing a set of horns budding from her forehead, and gave the scroll another once over with green eyes, unusual sclera and pupils darting over its contents before she rolled it up and stuffed it into the back of her belt. She took off the smithing apron, pulled on the douse to drench everything that she wasn't working on and closed up the smithy and forge, making sure to check that the hot coal filter was still in place and hadn't melted off like last time.
Then off she flew over rooftops and across drainpipes, a demon on the wind, rushing toward the library. She was the wind itself, moving speedily over rooftops and through narrow gaps between buildings. Well, at least, for a little while that is. She caught her ankle, turned it, took a tumble off a roof and mangled her armor, losing some bits of it in the middle of the street as she did so. Luckily for her, the cart that was rolling past didn't roll over her. Unlucky for her, the armor pieces that had come loose in her flight over the rooftops and had fallen off her in her tumble were now bent and broken. She stared for a long moment, tears welling up in her eyes. It had taken three weeks to make that breastplate and set of armguards. Sniffling she took two deep breaths, reminding herself that, 'Atsuko, real Kunoichi do not cry on missions' and continued on foot, on the ground, to the library, stuffing what remained of her armor in her sack that she carried around to pick up discarded or unwanted bits and scraps of metal.
Finally, she made it to the library, and stood there for a long moment, just gawking at it.
