Sentinel Control [Training]

Post by Jin » Mon Nov 08, 2010 11:03 pm

Taisaku could see clear skies. Like everyday in his country, it was hot. He could see the vibration of heat from just ten feet away from the blinds. He could care less of the heat, for he knew it was trivial and weak to complain about the land he had been born in. If anything, he welcomed it as he shoved the blinds aside, and allowed the sun's rays enter his flesh, and smoke it.

After getting dressed, the Sentinel thought about what he was going to do today. From what he understood, there was nothing in his schedule that was important. Well, it was going to be his father's birthday tomorrow, but he could care less about the old drunk. So long as he pays the bills, keep him and his uncle not into trouble, and not enter his room... everything will be okey-dokey. With everything in check, he left the room. And took his leave from the house.

The village looked wonderful. People were walking here and there, with smiles on their faces. It was natural for the strong people of Iwagakure to resist this much heat and be on their way as if the land was essentially lukewarm. It made Taisaku a little proud to see them all being strong, and some might not even notice.

After walking a good hour along its outskirts, into the dry, deserted, and vast roads, feeling the sun's rays bathing him beyond capable temperature to normal man, he looked to his left.

There, he witnessed a strong haze in the distance, and tried measuring his distance from the oasis his eyes was pretty much staring at. He figured it was time to fix his chakra, and begin studying more about how to control it. He was a natural talent when it came to using physical might and Genjutsu, but never thought of there needing to be longevity if there were ever a time he needed to learn a technique lasting more than 2 posts. It was high time that he fixed this possible problem in the future, and start progressing.

He knew that it had to be his duty to think ahead, or else people might win over him, and destroy his stature as a Sentinel. When one attains a certain title, it can be an uphill struggle to maintain only if the person does not create a worthy struggle before the unknown struggle happens; "preparation for the unknown" was pretty much the slogan.

Silently, he started forming handseals, and charging charka. Over and over, and again and again he performed all the handseals that he knew of, and kept his chakra steadily on the rise of consumption. The air was thick and still, so the vibration in the air could actually be seen from a distance if someone were to look his way. Chakra was was beginning to extinguish itself, and he simply had to continue on even though knowing this.

He needed to struggle; he had to fix the problem before the problem could even be thought of. His mind felt dedicated, and his soul was beginning to sink in unison with it. Limits were nonexistent to Taisaku, for he actually pushed in for more, with his energy consumption doubling than before. He needed to understand how long he can concentrate for one strong jutsu, and it appeared to exceed what he before assumed, reaching the two minute mark.

He felt surprised, and of course thrilled to know that he could hold a technique for two minutes straight; and obviously more, for he wasn't finished yet.

Birds were even scared of his presence, as they scattered; thinking that he was going to release something devastating as they could feel that energy getting ready to burst. He did not want it go finish so soon.

But then, little over five minutes, his body collapsed, and his chakra naturally receded. Quickly dropping its power, and as well as his consciousness. Already, in just five minutes, Taisaku fell to sleep. Even with such a high rate of stamina, chakra Control spoke in a different langauge from what Taijutsu would utter. In different volumes. But because he had such a high rate of stamina, he should return reenergized in a minute or two.

Sentinel Control [Training]

The sound of water washed his problems. The feeling of cold ran through his face. Although covered in total darkness, the cold splash created colors in his vision; first in a blur, then with clarity. The sight of a kid happened to be in front of the clear skies. He instantly felt heat reentering his body, with all his senses returning to normal.

He had to be out for no less than five minutes, and could feel it so. The tensions in his muscles were too delicate, and the body's heat had actually cooled a little. Maybe from the water, maybe because he was lacking in today's training. He felt irritated.

Looking towards the kid's ear to ear grin, Taisaku's eyes gleamed from the sun's reflection before he spoke. "What are you doing?" calmly he asked.

The child didn't take a step back. He knew the man wasn't here to cause a threat. In fact, in the child's point of view of the matter, it was he who should show gratitude that he had his life saved from the clutches of the heatstroke or whatever the symptom he had undergone. In a pout, the child said, "You should be thanking me, sir! Your behind looked as though it was going to roast if I didn't do anything!"

She commenced a fiery attitude that moment, but seemed too kind to show any real offensive behavior. She even smiled after frowning through her yelling back to the older looking human being. Her sense of respecting elders was close to nil, but her compassion for someone of need was near to infinity. And the gap in her teeth made her innocence even more believable.

Taisaku could no longer take this moment of doing nothing, and tried standing back up. Successfully he did, but she tried tugging him. In her success, she sat him down with all her might. Who was this kid?

"Who are you?" he asked her.

"I'm Yuminetsu. And you?"

Indeed she was playing around. He had no time for this. So he went direct to the question he needed to know:

"How old are you, and how can you be so strong for your age?"

Instantly she retorted,

"I'm actually twenty-four. Ranked Jounin and I am stronger than you most likely because you are so darn weak…"

Taisaku felt shocked to see someone so little and so innocent and young looking to be so old. She actually lived a few years before he did in this world. He didn't know all of the Shinobi, but thought it would be interesting to someday know about this one in the documents when he returns to the information depository.

Still, she called him weak. And he had to either show out his might, or simply work on with his training. Then rationality came to mind, and quickly he ignored her, and tried gathering energy. Already it had been pumped by her annoying presence, and soon enough his energy escalated—booming to the point that it almost could be heard, but the breeze it sent forth over the gravel, creating dust, proved that it had been something truly mighty.

In his view, it was not enough. He had to provide more—with movement. Standing up again, he looked to his right. Then Taisaku started leaping while pushing out more energy. He didn’t think this would truly work, as it was just an experiment. He knew that it worked because more spasms were consuming over his body by the second. He needed the spasms. He needed the pangs. It was to make him a better ninja—a more trusting Sentinel.

As he stopped leaping, starting to feel silly after finding a new method to become better, but also in another level of pain, he had to turn around trying to ignore the now gathering tension soaking and pumping in and through his figure. He had to thank the kid for enticing him to become dedicated to his training. Although his face did not, and would ever not show gratitude, he figured words would suffice the zealous personality of hers, and result to an agreeable satisfied moment for the both of them.

When his cloak flickered from the extinguishing chakra, and his hair swung from his spine to a spiral over to his left shoulder, he looked back... and saw nothing. The girl, or woman, simply vanished from existence. She could not have run through the deserted wasteland so easily. It had to be three things to make this true: She used Genjutsu; she used Mole Hiding; she manifested as just a mirage.

The third could never happen. He experienced many things, but never mirages. He was used to waiting for the water, and kept hydration in his system enough to battle out the natural limits nature would enforce for human beings. And the second meant she was a ninja of his land, and made him think more about researching her past. The first made him think that she was just playing games.

In a way, it didn't matter. For he knew that being enticed, especially after being exhausted from chakra consumption, meant chakra was beginning to rise up and be ready in his body naturally. Only to burst when he felt that it was time. And neglecting her attitude actually showed how much control he had over his own feelings. Temptation was to be nonexistent.

He wanted to seek out more training, and tried formulating handseals, and shooting out some Doton jutsu. He knew he had much more to uphold, and could really feel that he can last a battle before having even a sweat dropping from his smooth cheeks.

But knew that it was all over, and had to say goodbye to this area, and go back home with added Control in his system.
