E-Ranked Ninjutsu
This is a simple Doton ninjutsu. To start the ninjutsu the ninja does the needed hand seal and then throws their hand forward. This causes pebbles that are in front of the user to zoom forward at the target. The pebbles aren't able to really hurt anyone but they can be annoying.

Cool night air washed over a naked chest. Bare feet scraped along the rough earth of the small park. Iwa wasn’t known for its luscious trees or sparkling streams. It was very much a barren wasteland of cracked earth and a few shrubs here and there. Ken’ichi liked this particular park because it was one of the few that actually had a few plants strewn around it. It was also above ground, which was always a plus. Closer to his apartment. His toes dug into the soil, ‘connecting’ with the earth. It was a small ritual Ken’ichi had before he starting using Earth based techniques. He would try and connect, to former a deeper bond. God knows if it worked or not. More than likely it was yet another by-product of his mental instability.

He had decided to start simple. It had been a long time since he had done any real training. The last lot of training he had done with before… his father. Of course, he father was sleeping with the fishes now. Or at least he assumed it was the fishes. Could have possibly been mermaids or sharks or any other range of marine animals. Might even not be a marine animal…

“Getting off topic… Okay, nice and easy technique to get me back into the groove. E-Rank. Hmm, Rock Creation? No, already know it. The Rock Shield is already sitting there waiting to be used as well… what else can I do? Pebble Storm? Seems kind of useless but should be easy enough to learn…”

Finally decided, he started flicking through his memories; trying to recall the specifics of the technique. He knew the handseals but… the exact method was a bit fuzzy. He needed to find a way to clear his thoughts, but sleeping was off the table. Back to the technique, he simply guessed this one would be a case of trial and error.

Bringing his hands together, he started to fold his fingers into the necessary seals to channel his chakra. His gauntlets were a bit of a pain to move around, slowing down his sealing speed, but he wasn’t going to take them off. If he learned with them on now, he would just practice getting up to his usual speed so he didn’t have to take off his gloves every time he was in a fight. He shut his eyes and focussed on the flow of his chakra. Finishing on the all too familiar snake seal, he thrust his hand forward and concentrated.

His chakra passed out through his body, snaking across the ground and greedily latching onto any chunk of rock or earth it could find like it was gold. He clenched his hand slightly, curling his fingers, and his chakra began the push forward and up. The pebbles floated and Ken’ichi could feel his chakra struggling. This was an E-rank jutsu, it shouldn’t be any problem for a Chuunin. Taking a deep breath, he forced more chakra into the technique without breaking it. This time the pebbles, rocks and clumps of earth hovered completely off the ground, moving forward but at a snail-like pace.

Ken dropped his hand and the earth dropped back to the ground. What a hassle. He couldn’t perform such a basic technique on the first try? He must be losing his touch. His toes curled further into the ground, the cool soil getting in under his toenails and Ken smiled. It was soothing. Time to try again, this time with a slightly cooler frame of mind.

One palm thrust later, the pebbles were floating in front of him and again moving at a snail’s pace. Why the hell weren’t they flinging forward? He knew exactly what this technique was supposed to do. He had seen it done a million times. But he still couldn’t figure out what he was doing wrong. Short temper kicking in, Ken growled and gritted his teeth, wildly swinging his arm. As he did, his chakra fluctuated. The pebbles started to drop from the loss of chakra before a large wave came passing through them with enough force to launch them forward. Ken’s left eyebrow arched in surprise. Anger was the key? No, that wasn’t it. It was something he had done in his anger that had triggered it. The hand movement? Possible but again unlikely. He was good with remembering handseals and movements for techniques, just not the exactly application of chakra… Chakra. His chakra had faded from the technique for a moment before he realized his mistake and pumped chakra back into the pebbles. That had gotten them moving.

Well… That was easy to figure out. A bit disappointing but an easy technique to get started none the less.
