If Tadao had been burned by Tobi’s flames, nobody would ever find out, because he just barely had time to understand what was happening and cross his beefy arms in front of him before Omoi’s tag went off in his face, flinging him several yards and kicking up another massive cloud of dust. However, if there were any lingering thoughts about the match ending there, they were almost immediately dispelled.
A low, almost animal growl was rising from the cloud, and as the growl rose in intensity, the floor of the arena began to shake. Suddenly, the top of the cloud exploded as an inhuman shape burst from the top of it, high into the air and across the arena toward where Tobi and Omoi had landed.
To the keen eye, there was a brief interval where the shape could be better identified; it was Tadao, but transformed into something horrible and massive. He was cased from head to foot in stone body armor, not too unlike those more commonly seen used by many Iwa shinobi, but this one had made him enormous, and the air around him seethed with chakra. In that moment, it seemed very likely that the two genin were about to be wiped off the floor with a mop.
Then the floor in front of them erupted. An impact crater appeared where Oushi and Tadao collided, and the force of the blast had blown the dust completely away, leaving only the two men standing fist to fist in the middle of the oversized indentation in the floor, Oushi glaring up at his subordinate. A second later, there was a sound of crumbling rock and Tadao’s armor, along with Tadao, fell to the floor. The chuunin lay as if dying, his chest heaving up and down as he wheezed.
“Would you like to explain just what in the hell you were about to do?” Oushi rarely looked angry, or even stern, but he was both now, and it was just a bit disturbing. The look seemed almost unnatural on his face.
“I’m sorry, Oushi-sama. I just…I think I blacked out. Did I hurt anyone? I…ohhh, my head!”
Oushi snorted, turning around to Tobi and Omoi.
“I am impressed. And I don’t say that often, to anybody. You managed to hold your own against a much stronger opponent and what’s more, you took the fight to him. To me, your skills and your ability to work as a team exhibits anything I could ask from a chuunin.”
He stopped to smile at Tobi, who was still standing oddly close to Omoi.
“I guess they’ll send you your commendations within a week or so. Tobi, why don’t you swing by the restaurant later? I’ll buy you lunch.”
Having dismissed two of his charges, Oushi walked over to where Maru had been drug under, and unceremoniously pulled him out by the scruff of his clothes before setting him down and sitting cross legged in front of him.
“Alright. So, what happened?”

A-Rank Ninjutsu
Unlike more common Doton armor techniques, this one not only cover’s the user’s body, but creates a new one for them on a much larger scale, roughly three times the size of a normal human. Consequently, users of this technique suffer from a massive loss of Stamina (-3) but exchange it for a substantial increase in their Strength (+3).
