One of the mothers stood just at the edge of the party, tapping her foot impatiently. The party was almost perfect; there was ice cream, hamburgers, and plenty of things for the children to entertain themselves, and each other. But the sun was bearing down in full force on the party, sapping the energy of the children; all of them were simply sitting under the shade, trying their best not to do anything that would exhaust them. Iwagakure had promised to send a shinobi, to ensure that her party was going to be properly monitered, but he was already a few minutes late. "If these children don't have the best party of their lives, heads are going to roll..."

Daisho had rushed as quickly as he could to the house he had been assigned, making note not to barrel through any doors and fail the mission before doing anything productive. Although being early would've been beneficial for this mission, he decided to turn back home to exchange his sweater for a shorter sleeved shirt. If he had known that the small trip was going to make him late he would've skipped the whole thing altogether, but at least this way he was more aptly dressed for the weather. A dry heat beamed down on the young man as he bounded to the door, finally reaching it as he tried to calm his breath.

"Let's do this," he thought to himself before knocking on the door, wondering what the scroll meant by catering the party.

The woman opened the door, and reached a hand out in one swift motion, grabbing him by the neck of his shirt and yanking him inside. The door shut after him, and he could finally see the woman he was being tasked with assisting. She was somewhat short, standing just a few inches above five feet, and she was almost completely round. Her nostrils flared with annoyance, and her eyes were slits as she glanced at him. "Alright, fine. I guess you're not TOO late. But the kids are out back, and they're EXHAUSTED. Even just talking is wearing them out. I'm sure they're thirsty by now, so let's start by making some drinks."

She began to move towards a doorway quickly, revealing an opening into the kitchen as she went.

Daisho had already prepared an apology in case he was late for any reason, but even before could even say his name or say hello, he was pulled into the house by his collar. More surprised than offended, the young genin just followed the woman around as she led him to what he could only assume was the kitchen. He felt a hint of over-exaggeration in her voice, but perhaps all the children were completely exhausted to the point where speech was taking its toll. Still, he took to the kitchen as fast as he could before delving into cupboards in search for cups.

"Excuse me ma'am, but how many cups should I prepare?" he asked, not wanting to make too much of a mess before he left. Not wanting to waste time, he neglected the cups in search for something to actually give to the children. He looked for some type of lemonade or the traditional water.

Yeahhhh, I didn't want to be like, "DAISHO FOUND CUPS. HE ALSO FOUND EIGHTEEN GALLONS OF LEMONADE. KKCOOL."

"Twenty cups will be plenty. I've already set some out in the living room. Now we just need to make them something they can enjoy drinking." She waddled towards an ice box, nearly as large as her, and pulled out three fresh lemons from inside. With a single smooth motion, she planted them on the counter, and drew a knife to slice them neatly into halves. "Here's our juice. Now...we need water." A hand slid into the icebox again, pulling out a pitcher; ice could almost be seen on the sides, as she placed it on the counter, glaring at him expectantly.

"I hope you're good with children, because as soon as they get their drinks they're going to lose it."

Daisho watched as the woman sliced the lemons into near perfect halves and for some reason wondered if she was a shinobi herself. The thought passed as soon as she was done, mentioning needing water during a hot day like this. He was nearly baffled at the thought of having lemons and ice for lemonade but no water. Before he could embarrass himself by asking him what he should do about the water, he realized that he was the person who was supposed to be creating the water. Without so much as another word, he performed a few seals and pulled water from the air and filled the pitcher sufficiently for the lemons to sit in there comfortably. He then proceeded to pour equal amounts of water into the cups, taking them and bringing them outside to the children, awaiting the onslaught of thirsty partygoers.

By making use of the water particles in the air, Daisho is able to create water from relatively dry environments. By performing a set of seals, he is able to create and suspend up to five gallons of water for up to two posts. Any further manipulation of the water requires another jutsu. The water can be created anywhere within a three meter radius of Daisho.

One of the children walked forward listlessly, clearly reluctant to leave the shade he had found. He was panting slightly, but he extended a hand carefully, grabbing the glass and downing the contents in several large gulps. He stood still for a moment, swaying. It almost looked like he was going to fall over, until he finally let out a belch loud enough to bring snickers from everyone outside. He finally managed to mumble a thanks, and trudge back to the tree. Several more of the kids had risen as well, and were walking forward.

"Did you bring us more? Come on man, we're DYING! It's like a bazillion degrees out here!"

Daisho chuckled at one of the children's remarks. They seemed to be around his age or younger, he could never really tell, but more verbally expressed their discontent about the weather. He smiled before realizing that the lemonade was going to soon run out at the rate they were going. The air was damp and humid enough to pull from again, and the pitcher still had lemon juice from the slices that sat at the bottom of the pitcher. There was no harm in potentially entertaining the children while. They all seemed like the heat was getting the better of them, so he prepared a few seals before magically pulling water from the air and slowly refilled the pitcher. Hopefully this would be a quick fix to the thirst problem the party had been having.

One of the kids' eyes widened, and he began to waddle forward, pulling Daisho's sleeve while grinning as if he had just met Santa Claus himself. "You can make water? Can you make a sprinkler? We're all really hot, and some water games would be really cool right now!" He was nodding already, as if answering for the shinobi. The rest of the children were perking up; they had cooled down their insides, and now there was the promise of plenty of water for them to play in. The only thing they'd need to top off this day.

Daisho was happy to comply to the wishes of the partygoers, but he didn't really have any techniques that did something as measly as sprinkle the area with water. The yard that they were in seemed spacious enough for one of his techniques that could double as a slip and slide, but he would have to improvise for that one to work. His fingers once again began to perform the mysterious seals that he had done earlier and motioned for the children to move out of from in front of him. From within his mouth came a rushing of water that began to flow into a neatly created square that was about four by four meters in length and width and about two feet in weight. Normally it extended further on both sides, but this allowed for the technique to be used as a kiddie pool and mini slide.

To top things off, he figured out a way to make things a little more heat friendly. His hands found each other once more as two clones siphoned themselves off from the poor of water Daisho had just created. Two cartwheels and a jump later, they dispersed in the air, mimicking rain for the people who had been in the heat for so long.

Tsuyatsuya Karyuu [Slick Stream]
D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu
By performing a string of seals, Daisho is able to spew enough water to cover a five by five meter area. The water possesses a slippery quality to them, much like when one runs atop ice. The effects of the water can be negated or managed by other ninjutsu such as the Act of Water Surface Walking.

Eki Aikata [Liquid Companions]
D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu
After performing a set of seals, Daisho is able to create two mobile clones made of water. These clones look exactly like Daisho, however are very fragile. In terms of stats, they have twos in Taijutsu and Strength, a one in Stamina and three in Speed. If destroyed, the water for the clones will 'explode', bearing only enough force to spread the water in all directions for about a meter. These clones must be made within five meters of Daisho and cannot perform their own jutsu.

The children were overjoyed to see the display of the two watery beings crashing into each other mid-air; their cheers only grew stronger when they realized it meant they were going to get drenched with even more water. The sighs of relief were almost like one enormous entity breathing, as they felt the water soaking into their clothing, and keeping the tremendous heat at bay. The children were beginning to become steadily more active, walking about the area and chattering away idly. A few of them had sat on the ground in front of Daisho, simply staring up at him with wide eyes.

"What else can you do?"

Creating rain and a little pool apparently weren't enough for the children, but it was their party and Daisho wasn't one to spoil the fun for them. His mind ran through the few techniques that he did know, wondering how he could contort their more offensive or defensive attributes and make them, well, less dangerous and fun to play with. Short of performing the same techniques, he didn't really know what to do. He struck his chin as the children's gaze added some more pressure, as if the heat from the day weren't oppressive enough. Still, he had a mission to complete and if these kids wanted some parlor tricks, then by the word of the Tsuchikage, they were going to get some parlor tricks!

Playing by ear, he fumbled his way through a few more seals, this time spewing water from his mouth. While it might've been offsetting in any other context, he was a proud shinobi who just happened to be creating water games for children. The water took the form of a giant circle, blocking the children's vision of him. The whirling shield was enough to cover his body, but only while he crouched. He formed a few more seals and created two clones, one of which hid with him while the other walked out of the shield. As it came out, it shook itself, revealing that it was perfectly dry. Though walking through a whirling pool of water and coming out dry was a slightly impressive feat under regular circumstances, Daisho needed to up the entertainment value.

In a few second, his companion performed a roundoff into a back tuck, diving into the shallow pool Daisho had created earlier. As it dove into the water, it dispersed within it, giving off the impression that it had simply disappeared. As soon as the feet had 'disappeared', the second clone dove from out of the shield. A wink and a smile later, that companion jumped above the children and reverted back into regular water, splashing the children once more.

Senten Tate [Whirling Shield]
D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu
As a means of defense, Daisho developed this technique. By performing a set of hand seals, he is able to create a shield of water that is able to deflect most weak projectile weapons and block weak chakra-based projectile attacks. The shield is made of water and whirls in order to prevent piercing the shield by redirecting the projectile. This technique lasts for a maximum of two posts and can be destroyed by anything that is moderately strong, or stronger. The shield is one meter in radius and must be created within one meter of Daisho.

The children began to clap, squeals of mixed excitement and shocked delight from the falling water filling the air. Clearly these children were going to remember this party for some time to come. They were all rising from the ground, crowding around him and shouting over each other so not a single thing could be heard. At the doorway, the mother stood drying her hands, and smiling wearily. "Alright, then. I guess we're done here. These little guys are gonna have a great party. Feel free to stick around if you're thirsty."
