Original RequestShow
A wealthy man does many things for his child. He throws money at thei- that's about it. When confronted by his son- rather shocked by his sons tears at being bullied, Takashi's first idea was to hire bounty hunters. A little bit later, he decided killing the other children was a poor idea.

Koji was a chubby boy. It wasn't all his fault. His mothers death and the stress impacted on him lead to over-eating, and his father wasn't always there for him like he was his business. Takashi had a plan though. He'd hire a trainer.

Flash forward to now, Koji sat under a tree reading a book and eating a candy bar. He was supposed to meet his trainer, and this was supposed to be a good day... but all he felt was hate towards his father who could never help him without throwing money at strangers.

Hikari wasn't entirely sure how she was going to be able to help this kid. The idea of being a physical trainer for someone was just strange, especially given the fact that her clan was known for their lack of physical prowess. But she tried to tell herself that one mile wasn't that long, and she wasn't that bad at running it in truth.

As she walked up and saw who she was to be training she tried not to show her surprise. "You must be Koji." she said, nodding in his direction as a substitute for a bow. "I'm Hikari."

"Cool." he said ignoring her presence. He didn't even look. "I'm glad my father pays for friends. For my grades. For my physical health. Maybe if he spent time..." he trailed off, finally looking up slightly at the girl. His glasses slid off his face, and with his index finger he pushed them up the bridge of his noise.

"Go away. I'm reading a book."

He buried his head in his book and began to read again. Pfft. Fitness. He had a mind. Thoughts meant more to him than body.

Hikari sighed, looking down at her wolf friend and nodding in the boy's direction.

Arata sat down on the ground with a light huff of a sound.

Hikari crossed her arms and nodded towards the boy again.

Arata, though he seemed annoyed, padded forward quietly to the boy, to his right side to be specific, and put his paws on the boys legs. His white fur seemed extra bright, and even the red streak down his back and snout seemed brighter in this light. The wolf merely stared down the boy with his blue eyes and would shove his nose in front of the boys book if he head to.

A call sounded from the tree nearby and Hikari waved off Kenta who was hiding in the tree, watching everything that was going on, as hawks are rather good at doing.

In the mean time Hikari did a few handsigns, protecting her hands against her own glass, before doing a few more. In a few minutes she had molten glass in her hands that she was shaping into a simple flat, oval, piece.
Jutsu UsedShow
~[Glass Element • Improved Protection]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Because of their bloodline, users of Garaton must handle molten glass both in their hands, and in their mouth. Because of many generations of doing so, the clan has developed a way to keep their own molten glass from harming them. This only works on C-rank molten glass, but also protects the user from being cut by glass of any form.

~[Glass Element • Spit]
D-Rank Nintaijutsu
After forming the needed hand seals and flooding their mouth with chakra, the user will gather molten glass, much like [Glass Element • Make]. The user will then spit the molten glass into their hand in a baseball-sized mass, but will not shape it. Instead, they will throw the molten glass at an opponent, utilizing their physical abilities, though sub-par, to hopefully damage an opponent. If the glass hits an opponent, it will cause first degree burns, but might stick to them, causing worse burns over the duration of the post while the glass hardens. After the glass has hardened, it is rather easy to remove.

The wolf interrupted the boy, who finally took the book, closed it, and put it down. He sighed heavily, as he turned his head to the girl. Hmph. What the hell. Petting the wolf he turned his head and stared at the girl for a while.

After the long silence, he opened his mouth but didn't speak only paused. It was a pretty girl and she seemed nice. Was she really a ninja like her dad sad? Those evil ninja kind that killed people? Closing it again he looked back to the wolf, then back to the girl. "What are you doing?"

Hikari held up the piece of glass, which she'd formed into a near perfect flat oval. "I'm making a mirror." she told him. She set the piece of glass in front of him and did a few hand seals, flooding the piece of glass with her chakra, and soon it became reflective, a true mirror.

She stood and looked at the boy a moment as Arata moved over to her, sitting beside her. "I'm guessing you know why I'm here then." she commented. The boy in front of her obviously wanted nothing to do with this training, and yet she needed to complete this mission successfully.
Jutsu UsedShow

After forming the needed hand seals and flooding a nearby piece of glass with chakra, the user will cause it to have reflective properties, much like a mirror. This may only be used on glass within 5 meters of the user.

The boy at first was quiet, then he looked into the mirror. After a while he started to turn red. "Are you calling me fat" He yelled, throwing his book with surprising force at the ground, it barely missing the wolf. "Who the hell do you think I am?" he yelled, kicking the mirror and walking towards Hikari.

"I can beat you in a race you pasty skinned ugly-ugly poop face!" he yelled as his glasses slid of his face. Pushing them back up he glared at Hikari. She obviously had hit a sore spot. However, it got him wanting to move.

Hikari grinned. This hadn't really been her intention at all, she really had only made the mirror out of boredom, but this effect wasn't bad, seemed she'd just accidentally created the exact situation she needed. She wasn't a good runner really, that was for sure, but she could give this boy a decent enough challenge at first. Perhaps when he beat her she could get him to race Arata.

"Alright then. Where's a good place to race, tubby?" Why not? She wasn't a mean person, but if being mean was what it took, this could work.

It was all fine and dandy, as he prepped himself... but then she called him tubby. "You bitch" he said. As he picked up the book and tossed it right through the mirror. His anger was growing and he began to walk off. "We're at the top of a hill, with a valley down low. I'll prove myself to you pasty skinned ugly."

He marched off and down the hell, his fists clenched the whole way. Could he really be fast? Did he really think he could beat her?

Hikari was grinning from ear to ear as she followed him, though poor Arata had jumped and yelped when the mirror shattered.

Hikari wandered after him, following in silence, her hands behind her head and her body fairly relaxed as she walked, and Arata trotted along behind her. After a few moments Arata ran up to walk alongside the boy, looking up at him with a wolf's smile and his tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth.

It was a pretty valley, with two trees only. One where the pair stood, and one nearly one-hundred meters away, almost a straight shot. There was grass, and all in all it wasn't such a bad place to run.

Straightening himself up, he set his glasses down next to the tree then took his place. "Have your dog bark at 3 or something." he said, determined more then ever to show this girl he was better than she was. "And prepare to lose."

He was angry and determined.

"Careful, he's a wolf and might take offense to that." Hikari said, removing her hoodie and setting it aside along with her pouches and such. "Arata, stay here with my things." In response the wolf came over and sat down by her things with a huff, giving Hikari a proud look. "Kenta, you're going to stay with us." she called out, hearing a responding sound from the tree.

She looked over at the boy as she stood ready. "Alright then. 1... 2... 3..." When she said three Arata let out a mix of a bark and a howl, and she started to run.

Kenta, Hikari's red-tailed hawk, would be flying low behind to two of them.

And they were off. The wind flew against the two as Koji began to get into speed. Foot step after foot step, the two pounded the earth. He gave it his all, and began to run as fast as he could. Incredibly, he was actually pretty damn fast, surpassing the Shoshiki in seconds. It wasn't every day an average genin runner was beat by a chubby normal kid. He grinned, "Come on, have at it!"

They were about 1/4th done with their race.

Hikari wrinkled her nose. She was physically weaker than her peers and that was something she was used to, but this? She knew she was faster than this. She pushed herself harder, taking longer strides as she ran, moving her arms back and forth to try and gain momentum.

Behind them Kenta still flew low.

The raced faster! He was beating her. "Haha!" he screamed when suddenly he began to pant. Hyper ventilating? No. He began to gasp for air as he fell to his knees, breathing heavily. He would be fine, but it was now clear he didn't have the stamina to even finish a race... speed meant nothing without stamina.

Laying on the ground he tried to catch his breath before sitting up, his eyes angrily staring at his clenched fists.

Hikari slowed next to him and stopped, she was trying to catch her breath a bit as well as she sat down, though she likely could've kept going. "A steady pace will get you there quicker than burst sprints." she told him. "Take some deep breaths, hands on top of your head to give your lungs more space to expand for breath." she added as Kenta landed on her shoulder and watched the two with his beady little eyes.

Koji didn't care what she had to say. He laid down and stared at the clouds, a frown covering his face. "It doesn't matter. Tubby kids don't win races. Or girls." he said. The clouds were beautiful, and he wouldn't mind just laying her forever.

His last statement, would obviously show there was more to his problems, and why his father had really wanted to make over his son by just throwing money. His son wasn't successful in making friends, or his pursuits after his childhood friend who he really liked.

She didn't feel the same, so of course it must be looks related, and that means money solved it.

Hikari shook her head, looking at Kenta a moment just as Arata came up, who immediately decided it must be play time and tired to jump on the kid. "You know what's a good way to try and build stamina? To eventually win a race? Start at a slow jog, go until your lungs start burning. Don't push yourself though, just a light jog. Do it every day and eventually you'll get farther, or you'll be able to go faster. Upper body strength helps too, believe it or not." she told him.

"And when you're done, you can tell this girl that you did it all for her, make her feel like the most special person in the world to you. That's all you need to do." she stared off a moment, wishing silently that Yutaka would do something for her, she thought he liked her, but he hadn't done much about it... maybe he never would because of the clans. She brought herself back to reality and smiled at the boy.

Koji listened intently, sitting up and staring right at the girl. What she was saying made sense, he guessed, and he would try his best... but he honestly questioned whether it would change anything or make a difference. After some contemplation, he found power in her next words, though was still not confident.

"Is it really that easy? How do I train my upper body? What exercises can I do, can we maybe try one or two like the jog?"

It certainly seemed like Hikari had struck the proper chords and dodged a few bullets in the process. It'd be easier to educate than to do.

Hikari smiled at his sudden interest, she couldn't help it. She moved around so that she was standing on her hands and knees a moment. "Well pushups are one." she said before kicking her feet back and demonstrating a proper pushup, which Arata quickly ruined by jumping on her back suddenly so that she hit the ground with an 'oof!' and a giggle, though Arata looked rather proud of himself for it as Hikari moved to simply sit on her butt once more.

"Even regular stuff can help train upper body. If you find something in your house or yard that's just a little heavy to you, try carrying it around for a little bit until you get tired. There's a lot of great ways to improvise."

The boy had suddenly seemed inspired. Aww, young love. Listening intently to the girls directions, he was promptly interrupted when her wolf- er dog, wait wolf... leaped onto her back and she hit the ground with an oomff. He giggled to and tried doing a pushup of his own, finding it a bit to hard.

"I need to get skinnier I guess, well first before I can get stronger." and leaping up, he began to jog in place slowly, attempting to achieve the better form he had saw in Hikari. It would go on for at least an hour more of him trying stuff, breaking, sweating, before he would release the girl.

"Thanks for your help!." he would say bowing.

"I know she'll like me if I become a better man!" he said, quite ironically to call himself a man as the kid hadn't a single hair on his face.
