It was raining today, the one day that Roku absolutely needed to train. As a newly ranked chuunin he realized that he still needed to develop his skills. Roku had a lot of new techniques to learn. One in particular was a technique used in the Iaido style. The style that his father taught him, and now he has taken it upon his own to learn new techniques. Roku was inside his house looking out the window. He was wearing his brown sleeve shirt and his black loose fitting pants. He scratched his head and exlaimed "fuck it" Roku headed over to his room and grabbed his jacket off of its hook and put it on. He zipped it up about 3/4 of the way and then put his hood up as well. He stood in his room for a second looking for his iwanagi, and then he remembered it was near the entrance. He sighed as he headed out the door and grabbing his katana as he did so. When he stepped outside, he could see that the streets were empty except for the few ninja that were just coming back from missions, or those whom were leaving on missions. Roku headed towards the gates of the village thinking about where he should train today. As he was walking he reached into his hip pouch that was located on his back right side, and he pulled out his pack of cigarettes and lighter and found cover so he could light his cigarettes. He stepped under a near by awning that belonged to a ramen shop. "Roku-san, how are you doing today?" Roku looked up and saw it was Senchu, one of the ramen cooks. Roku nodded towards him gesturing hello, as he finally got his cigarette lit and headed out towards the village gate. He had to cup his cigarette in a way so it would not get wet. As he was inhaling puff of smoke he would blow his smoke out upwards and just star at it as the thick smoke dissipated into the air. As he left the gate he waved to the guards put his cigarette out and started to run towards the Plateau, one of his favorite places to train.

Roku had been running for about 10 minutes and still hadn't reached the spot that he wanted to. The Rock country was huge, the second biggest, Right behind Konoha. It was still raining outside, but Roku was nice and warm due to his jacket, but he was still getting wet, he just wasn't cold. Roku was headed south, but stopped as he saw to his left that there was a small gap in the ground. Roku headed over to the gap and saw that it was a cliff that lead down to another area of the rocky plateau. Roku guesstimated it was at least a 400 foot drop. Maybe i should try and climb down....nah. Roku turned around, could still see Iwagakure no sato, so he kept running south.

As Roku was running he could see figures in the distance, he stopped running. He could see that they were still running towards him. Roku took a calm stance and put his left hand on his iwanagi, getting ready, if anything were to happen. As the figures came closer he could see that it was a team from Iwa. Roku sighed in relief and release his grip on his Iwanagi and approached the team. [color#9E6B05]"Oi, you guys just getting back from a mission?"[/color] Roku asked. One of the chuunin spoke up. [colo=blue]"yea, what are you doing all the way out here Roku?"[/color] It was one of Roku's friends, Shifu. "Doing some training, want to join me?"Sure why not" As Shifu said this he looked at his squad leader and got the okay to train with Roku. So Roku and and Shifu headed off into the rain. Still heading south. When Roku found the spot that he liked, they stopped. There were boulders scattered around and bushes that covered the rocky plateau. Roku noticed that the rain had picked up and it started to pour down on the two shinobi even harder than before. So what are you working on, some new ninjutsu, a genjutsu, a taijutsu?!?!?!?!"Shif exclaimed, excited to help out his buddy with a new technique. "This is good right here. And no, i am working on my Iaido techniques""well i dont have a weap...."Shifu started to say but Roku had taken a kunai out and threw it to him as he was smirking. So Roku and Shifu started to train. Without warning Shifu charged at Roku. Roku smiled and put his left hand on his sheath and his right on his hilt with his thumb facing the blade. As Shifu came charging in, he thrusted his kunai towards the chest of Roku. Roku simply stepped to the right and performed a hilt strike to the ribs of Shifu. Shifu flew to his left about five feet but was able to stand his ground. Shifu snarled at Roku and threw his kunai. Roku calmly stepped back, getting a defensive stance and took his sheath and sword off of its loop. He then held it diagonally in front of him and withdrew his iwanagi half way deflecting the thrown kunai. "Alright Shifu, its time for me to work on my new technique." Roku stated as Shifu created 3 shadow clones. One of the shadow clones came charging at Roku. When the clone came with in range, Roku drew his weapon in an upward slash and then back down in a downward slash, and as he did this his attempted to sheath his weapon. However the movement for him was to quick so he missed and ended up stabbing the ground. Shifu laughed at Roku as he looked frusterated. [color#9E6B05]"again"[/color] Another shadow clone charged at Roku again Roku drew his weapon in an upwards slash and came back down in a downards slash. This time the katana barely missed the sheath and instead ened up slashing the back of Roku's hand. "fuck" Luckily the cut was not deep at all. Shifu quickly attended to his hand and tried calling it a day, but Roku wanted to keep training. The third shadow clone came charging at Roku. Roku this time charged at the clone and when he was in range he drew his Iwanagi in an upwards slash and then back into a downwards slash and sheathed his sword. Roku smiled as he completed the technique but it was slower than it could be. So Roku and Shifu kept training till Roku could perform the technique how it was supposed to be performed.

At the end of their training it was reaching about six o'clock at night. With a day of training behind him, Shifu and Roku headed back to the village.

The technique realizes the concept of a draw's momentum increasing attack speed rather than the technique of drawing itself. With this concept, the user draws their weapon and then makes an upwards slash followed by a second downward slash, and then an immediate re-sheath. This causes two deep diagonal cuts in the direction of the draw and re-sheath that happen near instantaneously.
