A New Guardian Arises?!

Post by Lace » Sat Jan 14, 2017 9:05 pm

She honestly didn't know anything on the person who was to become one her of her guardian companions, the orders came sometime in the night and shared with her shortly after breakfast. A second guardian wasn't unusual, given her request to begin going on missions outside of the city once more; even more with the particular Genma housed in her body. Having more people around her to drawn on the various elements was important. Also important was a focus from the random fears she seemed to experience the longer she remained a jinchuuriki.

She had always been afraid of fire but now it's becoming that she gets anxious when she's alone, taken up teaching the nestlings in her compound just so she didn't have to be alone. Little fears that most didn't think of were beginning to dot her mind here and there, Jinseie was assigned to her to try and buffer that alone, so it begged the question on why this new one was selected. To assign her someone she's never met wasn't unusual, she still just found it odd.

She shivered in the cold wind as she leaned against the building she was supposed to meet the young man at, pulling her heavy cloak closer together in a futile attempt to block out the air; didn't help her cloak was split in the back to allow for her wings to be free. Even winged you can't help by be cold when Iwa's weather turned. She'd be warmed inside but the meet up details were very... inconsistent. She wasn't even sure if she was standing at the right place.

[OOC: My first like.... three posts were better but I kinda got discouraged from losing them and uninspired so I made this one shorter, less involved. Doesn't help I really suck at opening posts. I'm sorry Gun T-T]

A New Guardian Arises?!

Ein was having a bad day, as most of his days went. He couldn't say he was supremely sad, as he had challenged and beaten someone who had the nerve to call themselves a special jounin, when they very clearly only had the strength of a genin. The fight hadn't even lasted very long, he had publicly challenged the man, and someone volunteered to be witness to the event, and two punches later the man was on the ground and Ein was told to stop lest he actually kill the man. The immortal had hoped he could at least put up some kind of challenge, and maybe even successfully kill him, but it was over so fast that the denizens couldn't even properly witness the fight.

All the same he moved about his life, having some kind of mission to meet someone of some kind of importance, apparently. He was fairly sure the mission report had given more information and specifics, but he hadn't really read it so much as noted the location of the mission and crumpled the scroll paper before tossing it in the trash. Something about a host, he thought, probably some party that was requesting a ninja security guard; which was really the type of mission Ein received on a day to day basis, one that he would receive negative marks for due to his brash and explosive nature, a joke the council could laugh about later after the money had already been collected from the client.

The scarred man did eventually reach where he was supposed to be, or so he thought, probably a little late. There was no party where he was standing, however, and he looked around himself, confused. Was he early? Had the mission report said for a future date? Was he so late they had given up on him? He sneered and shrugged, he could have been in the wrong place, he supposed. He had to be close, at the very least, he knew Iwa fairly well, so maybe if he had an aerial view... He put pulled his left foot off the ground, and put it against his right thigh, forming a single hand-seal at his chest, and detonating the exploding tag on his right foot, shooting him straight up in the air as a somewhat flailing mass, as the directional explosive was still somewhat unpredictable in its launching capabilities. Einherjar still managed to look around, but still didn't seem to notice any sort of party. Maybe he had the wrong day after all.

His fall was even less controlled than the launch, however, and he did end up landing with a loud, bone crunching thud only a few feet away from the host he was actually supposed to meet, not that he knew that. As the light dust cloud cleared, his form was a twisted mess, with limbs pointing in improper directions. If Ein wasn't used to such self abuse, he probably would have cried out in pain, but the immortal would be fine, it wouldn't be long before his tendons reattached themselves, limbs snapped back in to proper places, and blood leaving his body would be replenished almost as fast as it could leave.
"It's so sad!" the reader said to the writer with a frown. "The character in my book just died!" The author turned to her and burst out into tears, "I know!" he said, "So did mine!"

A New Guardian Arises?!

Kiyone had slipped the scroll from the pouch she always wore above her quiver and looked over the order once more, trying see if the paper held any information that she could figure out of who she was out here meeting. Times like these she wished Jinseie was with her as he normally was these days but he was away getting briefed for an upcoming mission and whether she would be chosen to go along with him. Whoever doled out the report however, did a less than thorough job explaining or divulging any information about her future guardian other than a warning not to give into the volatile nature of the individual.

It did not fill the jinchuuriki with much confidence.

As she was tucking the scroll back into her pouch a man came from the sky and super hero landed before her, the shock of the man hitting the ground and kicking up a flurry of snow and loose pebbles. Startled and having not seen what landed before her she pulled the bow from her quiver as well as an arrow, channeling her chakra into the gem upon the weapon's grip a string of chakra forming. She put the arrow's butt to the string and drew it back, aiing towards the cloud and the shape of the figure within.

She didn't fire just yet, still not sure exactly what she was seeing in the debris.
