[Training] Getting a feel for things

Post by Zao » Tue Feb 05, 2019 8:47 pm

Six months before present day…

It was still a few hours before dawn but the faint red irises of the young man's eyes could be seen in the dimly lit room as the flickering candle that set on the night stand wafted back and forth, allowing the partial illumination of the mechanical looking black and white face of Ning. Though it was obviously that the color and texture of the face was not a natural one as they were sharp color contrast with a black that was to dark and a white which was the color of snow. Appearing to carefully set up in the bed a thin, single sheet which had been placed over his body despite the crisp cold air within the room slide down to reveal the pieced together parts that made up the genin's new body. The careful appearance of the hairless figure's movements was not because he was trying to move slowly or carefully but it in truth came down to the fact that he was still trying to learn how to efficiently work the prosthetic body.

It was an almost indescribable feeling for him to be able to move around on his own but unlike before the complications he was much slower and lacking in strength compared to then. This was a strange dilemma and it actually took quite a bit of effort to cause the body to move around as he willed it to, if not for his above average level of control with his chakra it would have undoubtedly been several times harder to do that it already was for Ning. Yet, every day he was able to gain just a little bit more mobility, speed, or strength from what he had possessed within his original flesh and blood body. Despite the hardships that he was encountering now as he struggled with all his strength to finally completely set up in the hard bed there was a half smile formed upon the fake lips of the shinobi's face now. There was a sole reason for this hint of happiness and that was because he'd been given a second chance to once more be a shinobi, something that he had previously thought had been taken completely away from him.

Though his old body was gone this new one was by far much more interesting, never would he have thought that something with the potential to be so lethal could be so well concealed within this husk of a body. The artificial body created by the golem craftsmen was easily comparable to the legendary puppet bodies that hailed from the village hidden in the Sand, only with its own twist that came from the metal smiths here within his home village. Thanks to them and the intricate craftsmanship this new and fully functioning prosthetic was conceptualized and completed for Ning at the expense of his father and mother. Ones parents really will sacrifice almost anything for their children. Both of the bionic looking arms pulled themselves from below the single sheet and were maneuvered into a position before the older genin’s eyes now as that he could see them in better detail. The bulky arms were a slick raven hue while the fingers and palm of either hand was highlighted in a pure white color, a design not of his own choosing really but something that he was still able to accept given the situation.

There would always be time somewhere down the road after things had smoothed back out to make his own personal modifications to the artificial body of his to make it truly his own ‘body’, yet he still had much to learn about the intricacies of its inner working and even the deadly mechanisms that had been built into the puppet by the body’s original creator. In the future he would form and mold this body into the most lethal form that his mind could imagine. However, if one were to look at him in his current state they would probably only sigh or chuckle at the condition of the genin, barely able to summon the needed level of strength to even set up in the bed. Though this body was completely different than his living body had been as it wasn’t really his true ‘strength’ that was helping him but instead how well that the shinobi was able to link up his chakra to the prosthetic body that his soul now resided within. Only through slowly allowing his chakra to seep into and bind more and more of the body would he be able to release higher levels of strength through the body and its limbs.

A faint clicking sound could be heard now as the chakra flowing through the arms and down into the hands as the clicking sound originated from the joints of the fingers now, the strength of the grip from either hand increasing. Yet, there was another strange feeling in that their wasn’t exactly a sense of touch for Ning, He could feel the pressure that was being put on the fingers as each curled into a tight fist now with the blanket
