A brisk wind swept the village of Iwagakure, dust rolled through the surface streets. The clouds parted occasionally to let brief sunlight and warmth through. A trio moved through these streets with purpose. Many stood aside when they came across their path for they were known amongst the village. A trio of the village's Tenkujutsu specialists, a respectable profession considering the issues within the Catacombs of Iwagakure. Leading the group through Iwa was one Sakata Kanna. The Shinobi moved towards one of the many council meeting halls that Iwagakure held, the building seemingly like the rest in the village, its purpose hidden in plain view.

Kanna was wearing a long coat that she pulled around her front as a strong gust of wind blew through. Perhaps this was a bad omen. The councilwoman did not tender the thought too much, banishing it as quick as it came. Entering the chamber she took a seat with the remaining council members. A tinge of guilt still hit her whenever she sat amongst these people.

A new Jinchuuriki candidate had been found. Much to Kanna's relief in some respects although her last sealing was not smooth sailing. She still held firm to her belief that the Jinchuuriki and defence of the village should be the council's top priority. The woman relaxed in her chair a little and turned to the matter at hand. There were other council matters to discuss before they brought the candidate in.

Some hours of deliberation went by before the council wrapped up the day's business. Once this was complete Kanna spoke over Iwasa Yuzuru who was babbling on about mineral yields and other economic matters. "Well now that business is concluded, someone please send in Yukari Rei." One of the attendants nearby taking notes paused from writing. Rising to his feet before scurrying off out the door to fetch the Jinchuuriki Candidate.

White. On white. On white on white on white. Rei gazed upon the mirror in her room. Her outfit was most bright. Fitting, she thought. It was a somewhat dreary day outside to be sure. The stark contrast of her whites would perhaps bring some joy to those she came across on this day. Her hair was a multitude of colors again. A bit of white, a bit of cyan, a bit of light purple. It's ombre quality was executed quite nicely. It mingled together in an oddly fitting gradient for the outfit she was wearing. She had paid little mind to the world for the past hour or so. It had been a long day of rather extensive training with the Fukusha clan. She had not tired necessarily, but it did eventually come time to rest.

Now she was all cleaned up and ready for whatever little dinner party her mother had decided was going to apparently take place. A small gathering, to be fair. A clan member from the Fukusha was coming over to visit for a bit. Rei knew of them by name, but only in passing. It wasn't one she had interacted with very much. That of course didn't bother her in the slightest. She was of course very sociable after all. It was always a joy to meet a new person. Make a new friend. She did love having friends. She sat at dinner. Conversed with her parents and the young boy. Yuji, his name was. A genin, like herself. He was a few years younger than her but seemed well enough. From what she had witnessed, he was generally not too keen on being friends with people that weren't in his clan. She supposed to relations with the family helped her quite a bit.

After all, otherwise why would he even be here? Ku wiggled about in her left eye, looking around the area. Ku didn't have much to contribute to the conversation by any means. Oddly enough, her parents had no idea that Ku was even inside of her. They had just assumed that Rei had somehow obtained a doujutsu of sorts by some means. They never even bothered to ask. Rei found this both a little amusing and maybe marginally slightly insulting. After all, the purple iris definitely stood out as unusual. Dinner had been going well. Rei managed to chat with Yuji for a bit. "So, care to practice some Katon with me tomorrow?" She pitched the idea to him. His response was cut short by a knocking on the door. "I'll get it" chimed Rei's mother.

The attendant waited after rapping his knuckles against the ornate wooden door of the Yukari residence. The entrance opened allowing some of the interior light to pour forth from the hall out into the grim day. A strong gust of wind blew his coat sideways as the door was pushed further open. "Greetings Mrs Yukari, I am here representing Councilwoman Sakata Kanna. Your Daughter's presence is required by the council. The nature of this summon is sensitive as I am sure you can understand I cannot divulge much as to its purpose."

He began rummaging through a bag at his waist, producing a seal of Iwagakure showing this was official business. 'Of course you and your husband are welcome to attend. However you would have to remain outside the meeting hall till our business is concluded." The attendant seemed like he was about to say more before a young genin stepped into view in the door.

"Thank you for the meal, apologies again my father could not be here in person." The Fukusha genin bowed to Rei's mother, the way he spoke seemed civil yet it was very rehearsed. The boy looked at the attendant and rolled his eyes. "What is your problem fancy pants?" The attendant was taken aback by the hostility that suddenly came from this youngster. Making way for the young Fukusha to get past the attendant stared as the Fukusha walked down the street with hands in pockets. The air around the kid was gloomy indeed as if having to sit through all that social niceties had taken its toll.

"Umm... As I was saying." The attendant continued trying to recover from the strange encounter. "This is of the upmost urgency and it would be appreciated if she could come right away." With that the attendant stood ready to lead them to the meeting hall the council was using today.

Rei listened intently as her mother answered the door. An associate of one of the village council members was there, it would seem. Rei could only just barely make out what they were saying from her vantage point. Rei turned to look and saw the man produce an official seal of the village. So it was business then. Rei sat up from the table just as the young Fukusha boy did. He made his way out the door and Rei chuckled at his lighthearted crack at the official. He wasn't wrong. Those were definitely fancy pants.

The young genin that was dining with them hurriedly made his way out of the house. Rei looked about. She made eye contact with her father. He shrugged. It was clear that he had no idea what the summons was about. Quite often, he would know things. He had friends in high places, as did Rei's mother. Usually, she would know what was happening before it happened. In this instance, that was not the case. Something rather secretive then. She was intrigued, for sure. She couldn't recall the last time she was summoned for a mission with no warning or context. Was it a mission then? She assumed so.

"I'll go." Rei spoke up loudly. For such a frail figure, her voice carried. She shot her parents each a look and a shrug before giving them each a hug. "I'll sialater."

She stooped down and grabbed her shield from near the doorway, affixing it to the plates in her arm. "Shall we?" She gestured back towards the doorway.
